Sealed relay
Technical Field
The invention relates to a relay, in particular to a sealed relay.
Background
With the rapid development of the internet, the requirements on the server are higher and higher, the power of the server is also higher, and the heat dissipation of the server becomes a development bottleneck. At present, an air-cooled cooling method is generally adopted for a server in a machine room. However, in large data centers, air cooling alone is insufficient to meet the heat dissipation requirements of high heat flux servers. Liquid cooling, namely, the working fluid is used as a medium for transferring intermediate heat, heat is transferred from a hot zone to a far place for cooling, and the specific heat of the liquid is far greater than that of air, so that the cooling efficiency is far higher than that of an air cooling mode, and meanwhile, the liquid cooling can be well controlled in noise. Liquid cooling is also a necessary trend for server heat dissipation.
Liquid cooling is to soak the server in liquid, requiring that each device within the server be able to withstand the liquid soak. The relay, as an electronic component in the server, also needs to be immersed in the liquid. The electromagnetic relay is a mechanical structure moving device, once liquid enters the relay, the action and the release time of the relay are influenced, so that the whole response speed and the function of the server are influenced, the relay is required to be made into a sealed type, and the sealed type is not damaged after long-term soaking.
Most of traditional electromagnetic relays adopt a single-layer shell structure, and the relay has a disadvantage that sealant at the joint of a relay lead pin and a relay shell is easy to be heated and melted in the welding process of wave soldering, reflow soldering and the like, so that a tiny gap can appear, the relay is not tightly sealed, and liquid is easy to enter in a liquid cooling environment.

Further, the electromagnetic relay is provided with a relay shell, the plurality of first leading-out pins are positioned at the first end of the relay shell, the other ends of the plurality of second leading-out pins are positioned at one side where the second end of the relay shell is positioned, and the first end and the second end of the relay shell are opposite.
Further, the extending direction of the first leading-out pin is opposite to the extending direction of the other end of the second leading-out pin; and/or the sealing layer wraps the electromagnetic relay and each first lead-out pin.
Further, the sealing body comprises a shell with one end open and a cover plate, the electromagnetic relay is placed into the shell from the opening of the shell, and pouring sealant and covering the cover plate are poured into the shell.
Further, the plurality of first leading-out feet of the electromagnetic relay face the cover plate, and each second leading-out foot respectively penetrates through the cover plate, so that the other end of each second leading-out foot is located outside the cover plate.
Further, gaps between the second leading-out pins and the cover plate are respectively sealed by dispensing; and dispensing plastic package is carried out between the cover plate and the shell.
Further, the cover plate is arranged in the opening of the shell, and glue dispensing grooves which can enable glue to flow into gaps between the cover plate and the shell are formed in the peripheral edges of the outer end face of the cover plate.
Further, the cover plate is provided with a plurality of through holes, each second lead-out pin respectively penetrates through the through holes one by one, and the through holes are distributed in the glue dispensing groove.
Further, the cover plate is provided with a first ventilation hole; the first ventilation holes are sealed after the pouring sealant in the sealing body is solidified.

Detailed Description
Example 1
Referring to fig. 1-5, the sealed relay of the present invention includes an electromagnetic relay 1 having a plurality of first pins 11 and a relay housing 12, a hollow sealing body and a plurality of second pins 2, wherein one ends of the second pins 2 are respectively and electrically connected with the first pins 11 of the electromagnetic relay 1; the electromagnetic relay 1 and the first leading-out pins 11 thereof are positioned in a sealing body, the sealing body is filled with pouring sealant, and the pouring sealant forms a sealing layer 5 which at least wraps the first leading-out pins 11 of the electromagnetic relay (namely, the part of each first leading-out pin 11 outside a relay shell 12 is positioned in the sealing layer 5); the other ends of the second leading-out pins 2 are respectively positioned outside the sealing body.
In this embodiment, the plurality of first pins 11 are located at a first end of the relay housing 12, and the other ends of the plurality of second pins 2 are located at a side where the second end of the electromagnetic relay housing 12 is located; the first end of the relay housing 12 is opposite the second end. In this way, the length of the second lead-out pin 2 is long enough, and the wrapping amount of the pouring sealant on the first lead-out pin 11 is enough, so that the first lead-out pin 11 of the electromagnetic relay 1 is ensured not to be influenced by welding heat on plastic packaging property. The second pin 2 is in an L shape, one side of the second pin is located at the same side as the first pins 11, and is electrically connected with the corresponding first pins 11 (specifically, the second pin can be electrically connected by welding, riveting, etc.), the other side of the second pin is matched with the outer side of the relay housing 12, and the free end of the other side forms the other end of the second pin 2 and extends in a direction away from the first pins 11. The relay housing 12 generally comprises an upper shell and a base, which are in sealing connection, and the magnetic circuit part and the contact part of the electromagnetic relay are contained in the upper shell, and only the first lead-out pins 11 are partially led out from the base. The extending direction of the first lead-out pin 11 is opposite to the extending direction of the other end of the second lead-out pin 2. The sealing layer 5 wraps the electromagnetic relay 1 and each first lead-out leg 11 thereof.
In this embodiment, the sealing body includes a housing 3 and a cover plate 4 with one end open, and the electromagnetic relay 1 is placed into the electromagnetic relay 1 from the opening of the housing 3, and the cover plate 4 is sealed and covered by glue. The first pins 11 of the electromagnetic relay 1 face away from the cover plate 4 (i.e., the portions of the first pins 11 located outside the relay housing 12 are located at the opposite sides of the relay housing 12 and the cover plate 4), and the second pins 2 respectively pass through the cover plate 4, so that the other ends of the second pins are located outside the cover plate 4. Specifically, the electromagnetic relay 1 is flip-chip mounted in the housing 3 (i.e. each first lead-out pin 11 faces upward), and the other end of each second lead-out pin 2 faces downward, as shown in fig. 4 and 5. In other embodiments, each of the second pins passes through an end of the housing opposite to the cover plate, and the other end is located outside the housing. In other embodiments, the sealing body comprises two half-shells, the two half-shells are in sealing butt joint, the electromagnetic relay and each first lead-out pin thereof are wrapped in the sealing body, and each second lead-out pin penetrates through one half-shell respectively.
In this embodiment, the gaps between the second lead-out pins 2 and the cover plate 4 are respectively sealed by dispensing. And dispensing plastic package is carried out between the cover plate 4 and the shell 3. Specifically, the cover plate 4 is disposed in the opening of the housing 3, and a dispensing slot 41 is disposed at the peripheral edge of the outer end surface of the cover plate 4, so that the glue flows into the gap between the cover plate 4 and the housing 3, as shown in fig. 3. The cover plate 4 is provided with a plurality of through holes 42, the second lead-out pins 2 respectively penetrate through the through holes 42 one by one, and the through holes 42 are distributed in the dispensing groove 41. Therefore, the invention can effectively drain the glue by using the glue dispensing groove 41, so that the glue dispensing operation between the cover plate 4 and the shell 3 is more convenient, and the glue consumption can be saved. In addition, when the glue is injected into the glue injection groove 41, the gap between the second lead-out pin 2 and the cover plate 4 can be further sealed, so that the glue injection process is further simplified.
In this embodiment, the cover plate 4 is provided with a first ventilation hole 43, and the first ventilation hole 43 is sealed after the potting adhesive in the sealing body is cured. Specifically, the first ventilation holes 43 of the cover plate 4 may be sealed by hot riveting and/or dispensing. The first ventilation holes 43 are arranged, so that the invention can utilize the first ventilation holes 43 to ventilate when the pouring sealant is subjected to plastic packaging, and the pouring sealant is easier to quickly cure, thereby being beneficial to shortening the curing period of the pouring sealant. In particular, the first ventilation holes 43 of the cover plate 4 are sealed after the potting adhesive in the sealing body is cured, so that the sealing body can provide a closed space for the potting adhesive of the electromagnetic relay 1 and the sealing layer 5, thereby further improving the sealing performance of the electromagnetic relay 1.

In civil occasions, compared with a sealed relay (a metal shell), the cost is low, and the process is simple. Particularly, each first lead-out pin 11 of the electromagnetic relay 1 is wrapped in the shell 3, and is encapsulated in a glue filling mode, and is led out by adopting the second lead-out pin 2, and the length of the second lead-out pin 2 is enough, so that the wrapping quantity of the pouring sealant on the first lead-out pin 11 is sufficient, heat cannot be transferred to the electromagnetic relay 1 in the shell 3 during client welding, and a tiny gap cannot be caused due to the fact that sealant at the joint of the first lead-out pin 11 and the relay shell 12 is melted due to heating.
The sealed relay provided by the invention adopts a multiple sealing structure, so that the sealed relay has high sealing performance and can be soaked in a liquid environment for a long time for use.
Example two
The sealing relay of the present invention is different from the first embodiment in that: the relay case 12 is provided with a second vent hole (not shown) which is located at the same end of the relay case 12 as the plurality of first lead-out pins 11 (the second vent hole may be located at a position near the base of the relay case 12 or the upper case), for example, and is located in the sealing layer 5, and the second vent hole is sealed before the electromagnetic relay enters the sealing body. In this way, the position of the second ventilation hole is ensured to be always in the sealing layer 5, so that the risk that liquid enters the electromagnetic relay along the second ventilation hole when the second ventilation hole is in hot sealing or glue sealing quality is poor is avoided, and the second ventilation hole is prevented from being protected by the sealing layer 5 (the second ventilation hole of the traditional electromagnetic relay is generally arranged at the second end of the relay shell, namely the top end of the upper shell) when the sealing layer 5 only forms partial package (shown in fig. 6) on the electromagnetic relay.
The above embodiment is only used to further illustrate a sealed relay of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited to the embodiment, and any simple modification, equivalent variation and modification made to the above embodiment according to the technical substance of the present invention falls within the protection scope of the technical solution of the present invention.
