The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) selecting finished leather (cow leather, sheep leather, pigskin or horse leather) of genuine leather for surface pretreatment to obtain pretreated leather; (2) preparing water-based color paste, and printing the water-based color paste on the surface of the pretreated leather to obtain printed leather; (3) and drying the printed leather, and fixing the color to obtain the leather printed product. The preparation method solves the existing problems that the printing of the genuine leather is faded, the dry and wet rubbing resistance is poor, the printing material is not environment-friendly, the hand feeling of the printing finished product is poor, the air permeability of the genuine leather is influenced, the cost of the printing material is high, and the printing paste is easy to crack after long-term use. Specifically, the thermal transfer leather printing is to prepare ink by hot melt adhesive, print the ink on paper or a film, and transfer the ink to the surface of leather under the condition of hot pressing, but the thermal transfer leather printing has the defects that the thermal transfer leather printing is not easy to be used on leather, the leather is shrunk, deformed and hardened at the high temperature of the hot pressing, the hand feeling of the leather and the specific air permeability of the leather are influenced, and meanwhile, the material of the sol ink is not environment-friendly; the UV digital ink-jet leather printing is to process patterns by a computer and print patterns on leather by a professional printer and a professional color paste, but the printing speed of the technology is low, the cost of the machine and the special color paste is too high, the color accuracy is not high, a film is still coated and primed before printing, the specific air permeability of leather is influenced, and the problem of drying crack of the printing color paste is caused after long-time use and storage; the leather dye printing is similar to the textile printing method, but the leather dye printing has the problems of no high temperature steaming resistance and no high temperature washing resistance on the surface of the leather.

In order to verify the color fastness and the hand feeling performance of the genuine leather printed product, the same type of products (comparative examples) sold in the market are selected for comprehensive verification.
Wherein the color fastness comprises light fastness, washing fastness and rubbing fastness; hand properties include softness and smoothness properties.
The test of the light fastness adopts an SZl500 type xenon arc lamp as a radiation source, the range of visible light emitted by the xenon arc lamp is 380-750 nm, the range of ultraviolet light is 300-380 nm, the xenon arc lamp is very similar to sunlight, and the radiation source is equivalent to the result of sunlight measurement.
The washing fastness is tested by a Gelloven double-cylinder washing color fastness tester.
The crockfastness was measured using a Y571FA crockfastness apparatus manufactured by Square and round instruments.
Hand feel properties (softness and smoothness properties) were tested using an intelligent stylizer, Nucybertek Phabrometer.

The detection result shows that the leather printed product obtained by the invention is superior to the similar products sold in the aspects of light fastness, washing fastness, rubbing fastness, softness and smoothness, and reaches a better level.
