The table component of the cabin seat used on the existing airplane can only provide the horizontal position of the table main body, which causes inconvenience to the requirements of reading books or using electronic devices such as tablet computers.
This is mainly because when articles such as books or tablet computers are in a horizontal state, the surface of the contents presented by the articles and the visual angle of the eyes of people form a certain angle, which can bring visual fatigue and cervical discomfort after long-time use. When a computer keyboard needs to be used for typing, the wrist needs to be bent at a certain angle, and the wrist is tired after long-time use.
In order to enable the objects placed on the table main body to incline, the table components are usually designed into a layered structure in the prior art, and the layered structure can be lifted to form a certain angle. However, the table plate of this type has a complicated structure, which increases the volume and weight of the table plate assembly, and is inconvenient to use, so that it is difficult to popularize and use.
For example, a multi-cavity utility aircraft table is disclosed in chinese patent application CN 104149979 a. The table to which this document relates is primarily of multi-cavity construction. In the specific embodiment, the supporting plate component with the adjustable angle is of a layered structure, and the support connected with the lower-layer table plate is matched with different clamping grooves of the supporting plate, so that the inclination angle of the supporting plate can be adjusted.
Also for example, in international patent application WO 2013/166067 a1 a table with an electronic device support is disclosed. The structural principle of the table plate is as follows: and (4) slotting on the table plate, and controlling the slotting angle and shape to realize the inclined placement of the electronic equipment. It will be clear that in such a table only the bottom of the electronic device engaging the slot is in contact with the table.

Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings and described below.
While the invention will be described in conjunction with the exemplary embodiments, it will be understood that this description is not intended to limit the invention to those embodiments illustrated. On the contrary, the invention is intended to cover not only these exemplary embodiments, but also various alternatives, modifications, equivalents and other embodiments, which may be included within the spirit and scope of the invention.
For convenience in explanation and accurate definition of the technical solutions of the present invention, the terms "upper", "lower", "inner" and "outer" are used to describe features of the exemplary embodiments with reference to the positions of these features as shown in the drawings.
Referring initially to fig. 1, a table assembly 100 is shown in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The table assembly 100 includes a table main body 110, an arm 120, a pivoting structure, and an angle adjustment mechanism. The above-described table assembly 100 may generally be used on passenger seats of vehicles such as airplanes, trains, automobiles, and the like. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the scope of applicability of the table assembly 100 of the present invention is not limited thereto, but may be equally applicable to other articles, such as furniture, office supplies, medical equipment, specialty equipment, and the like.
Table main body 110 is a substantially plate-shaped member, which may have a substantially rectangular profile. In the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, one side of the rectangle of the table main body 110 may have a certain curvature. The vertices of the rectangle may be rounded for aesthetic and safety reasons.
The table body 110 may be generally formed as a hollow or solid member from a lightweight material, such as plastic or the like.
The upper surface of the table main body 110 is a substantially flat surface, but one skilled in the art may provide one or more concave portions or convex portions on the upper surface of the table main body 100 according to actual needs, so as to place or fix a specially-shaped object, such as a cup, or provide one or more friction-increasing sections or peripheral protrusions, so as to prevent the object from sliding off the upper surface of the table main body 110, which will not be described herein again.
The arm 120 supports the table main body 110. In the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, two arms 120 are provided, and the ends of the two arms 120 are connected to the table main body 110 near the straight long sides on the two short sides of the substantially rectangular table main body 110, respectively.
The pivot structure enables the table main body 110 to pivot about the pivot axis X with respect to the arm 120. In the drawing, the pivot axis X is disposed in parallel with the long side of the rectangular table main body 110.
In the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, the pivot structure includes an interengaging pivot shaft and pivot hole. One of the pivot shaft and the pivot hole is provided in the table main body 110, and more particularly, may be provided on both short sides of the rectangular table main body 110 near the straight long side. The other of the pivot shaft and the pivot hole is provided in the arm 120, and more specifically, may be provided at an end of the arm 120. The axes of the pivot shaft and the pivot hole coincide with the pivot axis X to enable pivoting of the table main body 110 relative to the arm 120 about the pivot axis X. The cooperation between the pivot shaft and the pivot hole can also be implemented, for example, by means of common fasteners such as screws, see for example fig. 1, which is not described in detail here.
Although in the particular embodiment shown in the figures (see fig. 1 and 6), the pivot shaft extends from the table body 110 and engages a pivot hole in the arm 120; however, as mentioned above, those skilled in the art can design any other common pivoting structure according to practical requirements, so that the table main body 110 can pivot around the pivot axis X relative to the arm 120, and the detailed description is omitted here.
The table assembly 100 further includes an angle adjustment mechanism including an angle adjustment operator and an angle adjustment stop.
The angle adjustment mechanism is configured such that:
1) when the angle adjustment manipulating device is actuated, the angle adjustment limiting device is in a disengaged state and the table main body 110 can freely pivot around the pivot axis X relative to the support arm 120;
2) when the angle adjustment control is not actuated, the angle adjustment limiting device is in the engaged state and the table body 110 cannot rotate relative to the arm 120 about the pivot axis X in at least one rotational direction and is limited to a corresponding angular position. More preferably, when the angle adjustment manipulating device is not actuated, the angle adjustment limiting device is engaged so that the table body 110 cannot be rotated relative to the arm 120 at least in a direction in which the table body 110 is rotated relative to the arm 120 by its own weight (e.g., rotated from the position in fig. 2 to the position in fig. 3) to be limited at a corresponding angular position about the pivot axis X.
First, a preferred embodiment of the angle adjustment limiting means of the table assembly of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1 and 4 to 6.
The angle adjustment limiting means preferably comprises a slider 111 and a sliding groove 121.
Referring to fig. 1, 4 and 5, a slider 111 may be provided on the table main body 110. The slider 111 is movable in an actuating direction with respect to the table main body 110. In the preferred embodiment shown in the figures, the actuation direction is parallel to the above-mentioned pivot axis.
Referring to fig. 1, 5 and 6, the slide groove 121 may be provided on the arm 120. The runner 121 includes a plurality of runner steps that are raised along the actuation direction, and the runner 121 is arranged in a circular arc about the pivot axis X, so that during pivoting of the table main body 110 relative to the arm 120, the slider 111 can engage with the respective runner steps by moving in the actuation direction, thereby holding the table main body 110 at the respective inclination angles. Those skilled in the art can set both end ranges of the chute 120 to correspond to the horizontal position and the maximum inclined position of the table main body 110, respectively, using conventional means. For example, in the embodiment shown in the drawings, each runner 121 includes five runner steps, and up to five different engagement positions (inclination angles) can be provided for the slider 111. Referring to fig. 5 and 6 for example, it can be clearly seen that the depth of each chute step recessed arm 120 shown in the figures decreases from the horizontal position (corresponding to the lowest step in fig. 4) to the maximum inclined position (corresponding to the uppermost step in fig. 4).
In the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, such as is clearly shown in fig. 4, the slider 111 may have an arcuate profile corresponding to the runner 121 and be provided with a plurality of slider steps which, in the engaged condition, correspondingly engage with a plurality of the runner steps. More specifically, in the embodiment shown in the drawings, each slider 111 includes three slider steps, which can cooperate with five chute steps to provide three different engagement positions (inclination angles). Those skilled in the art will appreciate that while the slider steps shown in the drawings are shown in combination with three consecutive ones of the chute steps, those skilled in the art may select to engage spaced ones of the chute steps depending on the actual requirements. In addition, although the lifting height of each of the slider steps and the chute steps shown in the drawings is the same, it is also contemplated to select a different lifting height for one or more steps.
Although the function of angle adjustment is performed by the cooperation of one sliding block 111 and one sliding groove 121, the angle adjustment limiting device according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention may include a plurality of sliding blocks 111 respectively engaged with the sliding grooves 121 of different arms 120 in consideration of the smoothness of angle adjustment. For example, when two support arms 120 are included as described above, the slide grooves 121 may be respectively disposed at corresponding positions of the two support arms 120, and one slide block 111 may be disposed at each of both sides of the table main body 110. At this time, the angle adjustment limiting device includes two sliding blocks 111 respectively engaged with the sliding grooves 121 of the support arms 120 located at both sides of the table main body 110.
In order to simultaneously operate the above-described angle adjustment restricting means, the angle adjustment operating means of the table assembly 100 according to the present invention may include a pressing member 131 and a plurality of transmission rods 132. A preferred embodiment of the angle adjustment operation device will be described below with reference to fig. 1 and 7. In this particular embodiment, one presser 131 is included intermediate two drive rods 132 arranged in line.
The end parts of the transmission rods 132 are respectively fixedly provided with a slide block 111. Preferably, the slider 111 is connected to the end of the transmission rod 132 by interference fit means such as a form fit or by removable fit means such as a threaded fastener. The pressing members 131 and the transmission rods 132 are engaged by a wedge structure so that the plurality of transmission rods 132 can move in an actuating direction when the pressing members 131 are pressed down, so that the angle adjustment restricting means is in a disengaged state. In the preferred embodiment shown in the figures, the end of the transmission rod 132 opposite the slider 111 is provided with a flange in the form of a bevel extending at least partially around the transmission rod 132 outside the body perimeter of the transmission rod 132. Also, the pressing piece 131 is provided with a slope cooperating with the above-mentioned slope flange of the driving lever 132. In order to enable the pressing piece 131 to move along the inclined surface relative to the transmission rod 132, a person skilled in the art may consider, for example, that a recess into which the transmission rod 132 protrudes is formed in the pressing piece 131. In this particular case, the inclined surface of the pressing piece 131 may itself have a substantially U-shape. It is noted here that although in the preferred embodiment shown in the figures, the inclined surface of the pressing piece 131 is located above the inclined surface of the transmission rod 132, the skilled person can also arrange the inclined surface of the pressing piece 131 below the inclined surface of the transmission rod 132 according to actual requirements.
According to a preferred embodiment, the plurality of transmission rods 132 may be connected to each other by a compressed spring 133 such that when the pressing member 131 is released, the plurality of transmission rods 132 can move in the actuating direction such that the angle adjustment limiting means is in an engaged state.
As shown in the drawings, opposite ends of the two driving levers 132 are provided with spring mounting portions in which coil compression springs 133 are seated, and inclined surfaces of the two driving levers 132 are kept in close contact with two inclined surfaces on the pressing member 131, respectively, by placing one compression spring 133 in the spring mounting portions. More specifically, in the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, the angle adjustment manipulating device includes a pressing piece 131 and two transmission rods 132 arranged in an actuating direction perpendicular to the pressing direction of the pressing piece 131, corresponding to the sliders at both sides of the table main body 110, and the sliders 111 are respectively fixed at ends of the transmission rods 132.
The presser 131 and the transmission rod 132 may preferably cooperate by means of a wedge structure, so that: when the pressing element 131 is pressed, the two transmission rods 132 can be moved in the actuating direction (in particular towards the middle in fig. 7) so that the angle adjustment stop is in the disengaged state.
The two transmission levers 132 can be connected to each other, preferably by means of a compression spring 133, so that: when the pressing piece 131 is released, the two transmission rods 132 can be moved in the actuating direction (in particular to both sides in fig. 7) so that the angle adjustment limiting means are in the engaged state.
In addition, in order to protect the structure of the angle adjustment limiting device, referring to fig. 1 and 7, a protective cover 134 may be further provided above the pressing piece 131. The protective cover 134 may be slightly larger than the diameter of the pressing member 131 to protect the wedge structure between the pressing member 131 and the driving rod 132.
In the case where the protective cover 134 is included or not included, it is preferable that any part of the angle adjustment mechanism described above does not protrude from the upper surface of the table main body 110 in any state.
It is noted that the angle adjustment mechanism may be provided in the inner cavity of the table main body 110 as shown in the drawings (see, for example, fig. 5 and 7), or may be provided separately from the table main body 110 and coupled to the table main body 110 by a conventional coupling manner.
With the above angle adjustment mechanism, the table component of the present invention can be generally adjusted in two types, which are briefly described as follows:
the first method is as follows: the pressing piece 131 of the angle adjusting mechanism is slowly pressed, and the table board main body 110 is gradually adjusted to the required inclination angle from the horizontal position;
the second method comprises the following steps: the pressing member 131 of the angle adjusting mechanism is directly pressed to the lowest end, the table main body 110 is directly adjusted to the limited inclination angle from the horizontal position, and then the pressing member 131 is loosened to lift the table main body 110 until the table main body is lifted to the required inclination angle.
The table main body 110 of the preferred embodiment of the table assembly 100 according to the present invention may be further provided with a blocking member. The blocking member serves to prevent an article (e.g., a book shown in fig. 8) placed on the table main body 100 from sliding off the table main body 110 when the table main body 100 is adjusted to the inclined position as shown in fig. 3 and 8 by the above-described angle adjustment mechanism.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in the figures, the barrier is a baffle 141. To install the blocking member, a barrier slot 112 may be formed in the table main body 110. The barrier 141 can rotate with respect to the table body 110 to be completely received in the barrier groove 112. Preferably, when the barrier 141 is completely received in the barrier groove 112, no portion should protrude from the surface of the table main body 110. The flapper slot 112 may be open with an operating recess adjacent the flap 141 being flipped in as in the preferred embodiment of the drawings to facilitate the user flipping the flap 141 in the state where the flap 141 is flipped in the flapper slot 112.
In a preferred embodiment, the baffle 141 can be flipped 90 degrees. The barrier 141 may be perpendicular to the table main body 110 after being turned over 90 degrees from the fully accommodated state. Depending on the needs of a user, such as a traveler, when table body 110 is in a horizontal state (as shown in fig. 2), barrier 141 may be in a stowed state, and when table body 110 is in an inclined state (as shown in fig. 3), barrier 141 may be manually flipped open. At this time, at least a portion of the barrier 141 may protrude from the surface of the table main body 110 so as to support an object placed on the table main body 110 (as shown in fig. 8). In consideration of the gravity, the portion of the baffle plate 141 protruding from the table main body 110 is generally disposed at a position below the inclined table main body 110, that is, a position close to the user.
As shown in more detail in fig. 1, to properly pivot and mount the shutter 141, the shutter may further include a shutter pin 142 and a shutter spring 143.
In the preferred embodiment shown in fig. 1, a set of shutter pins 142 and shutter springs 143 are provided at both ends of the shutter 141 along the rotational axis. Wherein one end of the shutter pin 142 is fitted into the fitting hole of the shutter 141 and the other end is fitted into the fitting hole in the shutter slot 112 of the table main body 110. The flapper spring 143 may be, for example, a helical torsion spring for applying a force of flipping into the flapper slot 112 to the flapper 141. It should be noted that the above-mentioned tilting mechanism of the flap 141 is only a preferred embodiment, and those skilled in the art may also use other common pivoting structures, such as a hinge, to tilt the flap 141 relative to the table main body 110, which will not be described herein again.
