Technical Field
The present invention relates to a working mode switching device and a working mode switching detection method, and more particularly, to a working mode switching device and a working mode switching detection method for detecting whether a switching error occurs according to a luminance difference and a red gain difference after a working mode is switched.
Background
Increasingly, recent application of the pick-up camera is increasing, and higher is the demand of users for quality of taking pictures. At present, the switching of the infrared cut-off filter is usually controlled by a photoresistor, however, the sensitivity of the photoresistor is inevitably reduced gradually under the long-time operation, which affects the accuracy of the switching of the infrared cut-off filter, and further causes various problems of wrong brightness, AWB color cast, inaccurate bit rate control and the like, so that the camera quality is unstable. Therefore, how to reduce the probability of switching errors of the infrared cut-off filter is a problem to be solved at present.

Detailed Description
Further areas of applicability of the present systems and methods will become apparent from the detailed description provided hereinafter. It should be understood that the following detailed description and specific examples, while indicating exemplary embodiments of the operating mode switching device and operating mode switch detection method, are intended for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram of an operation mode switching device according to an embodiment of the invention. In some embodiments of the present invention, the operation mode switching apparatus 100 is disposed in a camera and at least includes a sensing module 110, a processing module 120 and a control module 130. The sensing module 110 at least includes a light level sensor, a photo sensor, etc. for sensing and storing the light level E, the light level L and the red gain Rg of the surrounding environment of the camera at predetermined time intervals. The processing module 120 is configured to receive values corresponding to the illuminance E, the luminance L, and the red gain Rg from the sensing module 110, determine whether to output a switching signal for switching the working mode of the camera according to the value of the illuminance E, and calculate a luminance difference Ldiff and a red gain difference Rgdiff before and after switching the working mode to determine whether there is an error in switching the working mode. The processing module 120 can be implemented in various ways, such as a dedicated hardware circuit or a general-purpose hardware (e.g., a single Processor, a multi-Processor with parallel processing capability, an Image Signal Processor (ISP) or other Processor with computing capability), and provides the functions described below when executing program code or software. In addition, the processing module 120 may also be a built-in image signal processor of the camera. The control module 130 is connected to the processing module 120, and is configured to drive an electromagnetic, a motor, or another power source according to the switching signal to control switching of the infrared cut-off filter. For example, when the operation mode is switched from the day mode to the night mode, the infrared cut-off filter is moved away from the front of the lens, so that the light sensing coupling element can utilize all light rays through the full-transmission spectral filter. On the contrary, when the working mode is switched from the night mode to the day mode, the infrared cut-off filter is arranged in front of the photosensitive coupling element, so that the photosensitive coupling element can restore the real color to improve the shooting quality.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, when the camera operates in the night mode and the value of the illuminance E measured by the sensing module 110 (i.e., the Lux value) is greater than the first switching threshold, the processing module 120 outputs a switching signal, so that the control module 130 switches the operating mode of the camera to the day mode according to the switching signal. In an example, the first switching threshold may be set to 10, that is, when the value of the illuminance E is greater than 10, the processing module 120 switches the operation mode of the camera from the night mode to the day mode. After the operation mode is switched (i.e. the operation mode is switched to the day mode), the processing module 120 calculates the luminance difference L according to the newly measured values of the luminance L and the red gain Rg and the previously stored values of the luminance L and the red gain Rg before switchingdiffAnd the red gain difference Rgdiff. When the difference value L of the light intensitydiffWithin the first brightness range and the red gain difference RgdiffWhen the gain is within the first red gain range, the processing module 120 determines that the switching of the operation mode is correct, and the processing module 120 maintains the camera in the sun modeFormula (II) is shown. In one example, the interval value of the first luminance range is 200-800, and the interval value of the first red gain range is 0.1-1. Then, the Lux value is continuously detected by the sensing module 110 until the Lux value is smaller than the second switching threshold. In an example, the second switching threshold may be set to 2.
On the contrary, when the brightness difference LdiffOutside the first brightness range or the red gain difference RgdiffWhen the gain is out of the first red gain range, the processing module 120 determines that the camera may have a mechanical structure failure due to the influence of the ambient temperature, and further causes a switching error of the working mode, so that the working mode is switched from the day mode to the night mode again, and the switching failure times are accumulated. When the switching failure times exceed the predetermined times (for example, 10 times), the camera is reset to restore all the set values to the preset values, so as to reduce the false judgment rate of the camera. It should be noted that the switching failure times will be zero after the user disables the camera, i.e. the switching failure times will be accumulated again from zero when the camera is re-enabled next time.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, when the camera operates in the day mode and the Lux value measured by the sensing module 110 is smaller than the second switching threshold, the processing module 120 outputs a switching signal, so that the control module 130 switches the operating mode of the camera to the night mode according to the switching signal. As described above, in the present embodiment, when the value of the illuminance E is smaller than 2, the processing module 120 switches the operation mode of the camera from the day mode to the night mode. Similarly, after the operation mode is switched, the processing module 120 calculates the luminance difference L according to the newly measured values of the luminance L and the red gain Rg and the previously stored values of the luminance L and the red gain Rg before switchingdiffAnd the red gain difference Rgdiff. When the difference value L of the light intensitydiffWithin the second brightness range and the red gain difference RgdiffWhen the gain is within the second red gain range, the processing module 120 determines that the switching of the operation mode is correct, and maintains the camera in the night mode. In one example, the interval value of the second luminance range is 300-Is 1-1.5. Then, the Lux value is continuously sensed by the sensing module 110 until the Lux value is again greater than the first switching threshold. Generally, the first switching threshold is greater than the second switching threshold, and the second red gain range is greater than the first red gain range.
On the contrary, when the brightness difference LdiffOutside the second brightness range or the red gain difference RgdiffWhen the gain is out of the second red gain range, the processing module 120 determines that the camera has a wrong switching of the working mode due to a wrong determination, so that the working mode is switched from the night mode to the day mode, and the switching failure times are accumulated. And when the switching failure times exceed the preset times, resetting the camera to restore all the settings to the initial values. Similarly, the switching failure times will be zero after the user disables the camera, i.e. the switching failure times will be accumulated again from zero when the camera is re-enabled next time.
It should be noted that the first switching threshold, the second switching threshold, the first brightness range, the second brightness range, the first red gain range, the second red gain range, the predetermined times, and the like defined above are only exemplary embodiments of the present invention, and the values thereof may be modified according to the user's requirements or the results after experiments, and are not limited by the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a method for detecting a switching of a working mode according to an embodiment of the invention. First, in step S201, the processing module 120 determines whether to switch the operating mode according to the Lux value detected by the sensing module 110 at predetermined time intervals. For example, when the camera operates in the night mode, if the Lux value sensed by the sensing module 110 is greater than the first switching threshold, the processing module 120 switches the operating mode of the camera to the day mode. Or, when the camera operates in the day mode, if the Lux value sensed by the sensing module 110 is smaller than the second switching threshold, the processing module 120 switches the operating mode of the camera to the night mode. Wherein the first switching threshold is greater than the second switching threshold. When the control module switches the operating mode, the method proceeds to step S202, and the processing module 120 calculates a luminance difference L according to the luminance value L before and after switchingdiffAnd judging the difference of the brightnessLdiffWhether it is within the predetermined brightness range. For example, when the operation mode is switched from the night mode to the day mode, the predetermined luminance range is 200-. On the contrary, when the operation mode is switched from the day mode to the night mode, the predetermined brightness range is 300-800. Wherein, when the brightness difference LdiffWhen the luminance is within the predetermined luminance range, the process proceeds to step S203, and the processing module 120 calculates a red gain difference Rg according to the values of the red gains Rg before and after switchingdiffAnd judging the red gain difference RgdiffWhether it is within a given red gain range. For example, when the operation mode is switched from the night mode to the day mode, the given red gain range is 0.1-1. On the contrary, when the working mode is switched from the day mode to the night mode, the given red gain range is 1-1.5. Wherein, when the red gain difference RgdiffWhen the current gain is within the predetermined red gain range, it indicates that the switching of the operation mode is correct, the switched operation mode is maintained, and the process returns to step S201, and the processing module 120 continues to receive the Lux value from the sensing module 110 to determine whether to switch the operation mode.
On the contrary, when the brightness difference LdiffWhen the luminance is outside the predetermined luminance range, the processing module 120 proceeds to step S204, and determines that the mechanical structure may be failed due to the influence of the ambient temperature, thereby causing a switching error of the operating mode, and accumulates the switching failure times to determine whether the switching failure is too many times. If the accumulated switching failure times exceeds the predetermined times, which indicates that the current operation state of the camera has affected the determination of the operation mode, the process proceeds to step S205, and the processing module 120 resets the camera to restore the relevant setting value to the initial value. Otherwise, if the accumulated switching failure times is still less than the predetermined times, the method proceeds to step S206, the camera is switched back to the previous working mode, and returns to step S201, and the processing module 120 continues to determine whether to switch the working mode according to the Lux value sensed by the sensing module 110.
It should be noted that the sequence of determining the luminance difference value Ldiff and the red gain difference value Rgdiff in steps S202 and S203 may be interchanged or performed simultaneously, and the sequence presented in fig. 2 is not limited in the present invention.
It is to be noted that although the above-described method has been described on the basis of a flowchart using a series of steps or blocks, the present invention is not limited to the order of the steps, and some steps may be performed in an order different from that of the rest of the steps or the rest of the steps may be performed simultaneously. Moreover, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the steps illustrated in the flow chart are not exclusive, that other steps of the flow chart may be included, or that one or more steps may be deleted without affecting the scope of the invention.
In summary, according to the working mode switching apparatus and the working mode switching detection method provided in some embodiments of the present invention, after the working mode is switched, whether the camera is affected by the ambient temperature or a working mode switching error caused by a failure in determining itself is determined according to the luminance difference and the red gain difference measured before and after the switching, so as to avoid the problems of luminance error, AWB color cast, and inaccurate bit rate control during shooting.
It should be noted that the above embodiments are only for illustrating the technical solutions of the present invention and not for limiting, and although the present invention is described in detail with reference to the preferred embodiments, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that modifications or equivalent substitutions may be made to the technical solutions of the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the technical solutions of the present invention.
