Abstract
The invention provides a method and a system for realizing high-speed redirection of a KVM image based on a domestic BMC chip, which can reduce the processing work of redundant data coding compression and network transmission and improve the display quality. Due to the locally changing characteristics of screen video data, data between adjacent frames is mostly identical, resulting in a considerable degree of repeated redundant data for encoding compression and network transmission data. The design of the hardware module in the aspect of video is basically consistent with that of a BMC chip popular in the market, and the hardware module is compatible with a universal KVM implementation scheme and has good applicability. The data volume of actual compression transmission is small, a large amount of network bandwidth can be saved, and therefore higher-quality far-end image display can be supported. The strategy of preferentially updating the display area of the mouse can more quickly feed back the change of the display picture to the client, thereby effectively reducing the delay.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of embedded systems, in particular to a method and a system for realizing high-speed redirection of a KVM image based on a domestic BMC chip.
Background
KVM OVER IP is also called digital KVM, and KVM is an abbreviation of Keyboard, display, and Mouse (Keyboard, Video, Mouse), which is to remotely control a plurality of computers through a local set of Keyboard, display, and Mouse. It collects the video signal from the local computer, converts into digital information through analog-to-digital conversion, compresses into IP packet, transmits through internet or special network, the remote control console receives the IP packet, unpacks, converts, presents on the screen of the control console; the administrator operates the keyboard and mouse of the console accordingly, a series of control commands sent out are combined into an IP packet by the console, and the IP packet is sent back to the local side through the network, and is restored into keyboard and mouse signals after being unpacked, so that the local computer executes corresponding actions, and remote control is realized.
In a server product, different use scenes of a server are different, and in some cases, the server is required to be operated only in a remote mode and not connected with a display locally, so that when the display is not connected locally, the display card on a mainboard of the server still needs to output. Currently, many servers use BMC as a display card, and a BMC chip is used as a server to implement KVM functionality. Compared with a KVM transmission switch, the KVM function implemented by the BMC chip is limited by the fact that the image quality is generally not high in software and hardware design, and the delay is large and needs to be improved.
Patent document CN109086634A discloses a BMC chip management method, system, and a BMC chip and a computer-readable storage medium, where the BMC chip includes: the method comprises the following steps: the protection register is used for controlling the output level of the IO pin of the BMC chip; and the IO pin is connected with a write protection pin of the Flash chip. When the BMC chip receives a write protection command, the write protection function of the Flash chip is enabled by controlling the protection register; judging whether the firmware program of the BMC chip needs to be updated, if so, controlling the protection register so that the Flash chip closes the write protection function; and after the updating is finished, the protection register is controlled again to enable the write protection function of the Flash chip. The patent still leaves room for improvement in process configuration and technical effect.
