技术领域
本发明涉及一种采用分段液晶显示器(LCD)的车辆用仪表板。
背景技术
通常,用于车辆的仪表板提供关于动力总成的操作状态(例如,每分钟转数(RPM))和车辆速度的信息,并且具有指示各种功能是否被激活或失效的警告灯。
这种仪表板注重可视性和功能性,因此是根据模拟式刻度盘和简单的警告灯进行配置的。然而,诸如薄膜晶体管液晶显示器(TFT-LCD)等的显示面板目前倾向于应用于仪表板,以显示品牌差异或为各种用户体验提供各种视觉效果。
图1A至图1C是示出包括各种类型的显示面板的仪表板的配置的视图。
首先,图1A示出了仪表板,在该仪表板中,位于仪表板左侧的RPM计和位于仪表板右侧的车速计以模拟方式实现,并且TFT-LCD 10设置在仪表板的中央。这样的仪表板可以以相对较低的成本制造,但是难以向客户提供高级规格的图像。
接下来,图1B示出了完整的LCD型仪表板,其整体由TFT-LCD 20形成。这种仪表板可以提供高级的外观并表达各种图形图像,但是以相对较高的成本制造。
图1C示出了整体上由分段LCD形成的仪表板,并且仅其区域形成为TFT-LCD 30。这里,分段LCD是一种液晶显示器,其中,具有预定形状的多个分段被选择性地激活,并且通过激活的分段的组合来实现期望输出的图像。这样的仪表板可以提供与整个LCD型仪表板相似的视觉图像,但是其制造成本要低于完整LCD型仪表板,并且可以视为图1A所示的仪表板和图1B所示的仪表板之间的折衷妥协。
仪表板为驾驶员提供了驾驶必不可少的信息,因此必须满足与安全相关的标准。作为此类安全相关标准的代表示例,有ISO26262。ISO26262是与汽车安全相关的核心部件有关的国际标准,代表对汽车功能安全的要求,由几个部分组成以管理系统的功能安全,并在系统、硬件和软件级别指定产品开发协议。在ISO 26262中定义的车辆的汽车安全完整性等级(ASIL)中,与仪表板相关的部分属于ASIL-B。
更详细地,ASIL-B要求监视与驾驶/刹车相关的警告灯是否打开或失效(即开/关/失效),例如,用于驻车制动器、防抱死制动系统(ABS)、电子驻车制动器(EPB)、电子稳定控制(ESC)系统等的警告灯。
为了满足这些法规,在图1A所示的仪表板中,可以将发光二极管(LED)分别分配给作为法规适用对象的每个警告灯以及每个警告灯的操作都可以通过LED驱动器进行监控。
此外,在图1B所示的全LCD型仪表板中,警告灯被实现为显示图像,并且可以通过安全定时控制器(T-CON)感测显示器和处理器之间的图像失真或LCD面板的异常来监视每个警告灯的运行。
但是,当在图1C所示的分段LCD型仪表板中,各个与驾驶/刹车相关的警告灯实现为分段LCD上的某些分段时,传统的分段LCD不具有监视各个分段是否被单独打开或失效的功能,因此不能满足ASIL-B的规定。
发明内容
本发明涉及采用分段LCD的车辆用仪表板。具体的实施例涉及能够感测特定警告灯的故障的车辆用仪表板。因此,本发明的实施例提供了具有分段LCD的车辆仪表板,其基本上消除了由于现有技术的限制和缺点而导致的一个或多个问题。
本发明的实施例提供了分段LCD型仪表板,其能够单独地监视警告灯。

根据本发明的实施例,一种仪表板包括:包括多个分段的分段LCD面板;以及布置在分段LCD面板下方的基板,并且基板上布置有至少一个第一光源,至少一个第一光源对应于分段LCD面板的背光;以及至少一个第二光源,至少一个第二光源的光被单独地控制,其中,分段LCD面板包括:包括液晶的液晶区域,以及至少一个液晶坝区域,其被配置为在其中不布置液晶,其中,至少一个液晶坝区域的至少一部分在垂直方向上与至少一个第二光源中的每一个重叠。
至少一个第二光源中的每一个可以对应于预定种类的警告灯中的相应一个。
预定种类的警告灯可以包括与驾驶和制动有关的警告灯。

本发明的一个实施例提出了采用分段LCD的仪表板,其中,仅特定的警告灯分别使用光源,其运行状态可以通过驱动器来监视,形成间隙以使得液晶没有布置在位于相应光源的光发射路径中的分段LCD面板中,并因此可以打开这些警告灯而不会干扰分段LCD面板的运行。
图2A和图2B是示出根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板类型的示例的视图。
参考图2A,根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板100可以包括第一区域120,在该区域中,布置了能够显示自由图形图像的第一类型显示面板;以及在平面上不与第一区域重叠的剩余区域,即第二区域,在该区域中,布置了具有多个分段的第二类型显示面板。
例如,第一类型显示面板可以是TFT-LCD面板,但不限于此。例如,第一类型显示面板可以是有机发光二极管(OLED)面板。
此外,第二类型显示面板可以是分段LCD,并且在下文中,除非另有说明,否则将假定分段LCD布置在第二区域中。
在第二区域中,通过这些分段显示驾驶车辆所需的各种信息,例如数字式速度计113,并且预定的特定种类的警告灯111和112可以通过单独的光源不是分段LCD的分段来打开。这里,特定种类的警告灯111和112可以是停车制动警告灯111、电子稳定控制(ESC)警告灯112等,它们是ASIL-B法规的适用对象,但是,这些警告灯111和112仅是为了帮助理解本发明而描述的,因此警告灯111和112的种类和数量不限于此。
这里,特定种类的警告灯111和112可以在垂直方向(即,在Z轴方向)上与形成分段LCD的分段LCD面板重叠。如果将特定种类的警告灯111和112布置在不与垂直方向上形成分段LCD的分段LCD面板重叠的单独的位置处,如图1A所示,可以通过LED驱动器监视特定种类的警告灯111和112的运行状态,但是在这种情况下,警告灯111和112的布置位置受到限制(例如,警告灯111和112仅位于仪表板100的边缘或中央),或者分段LCD面板的形状变得复杂,因此难以制造分段LCD面板。另一方面,在根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板100中,警告灯111和112的位置与分段LCD面板重叠,并因此,警告灯111和112在仪表板100上的布置的设计自由度得到改善。然而,当将通用分段LCD面板应用到仪表板100时,由于液晶填充在分段LCD面板的内部以及布置在分段LCD面板中的两个偏振层彼此正交,难以从施加到警告灯111和112的光源朝向仪表板100的表面发射光。
因此,在根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板100中,液晶和偏振层的至少一部分未布置在特定的警告灯111和112的光发射路径中,从而能够解决在监视警告灯111和112的运行以及可视性方面存在的问题。将参考图3和图4对此进行描述。
图3是示出根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板结构的示例的纵向截面图,并且更详细地,图3是根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板的沿图2B的线A-A’截取的纵向截面图。
参照图3,根据本实施例的仪表板可以包括沿向上的方向布置的基板210、第一分隔板221,222和223、扩散器DF、光控制层240、下偏振层PB、分段LCD面板250,260和270、上偏振层PU、遮光层280和保护玻璃290。
多个光源311、312和313布置在基板210上,并且光源311、312和313可以包括与分段LCD的背光对应的第一光源313和分别与警告灯111和112(需要监视其运行状态(开/关/故障))对应的多个第二光源311和312。
尽管图3仅示出了一个第一光源313,但是在实际实现方式中,取决于分段LCD面板的尺寸,可以以指定的配置布置多个第一光源。特别地,第一光源313可以被布置为向其中布置有分段LCD的每个分段的至少一个区域113(在下文中,被称为“图形区域”)提供背光功能。
第二光源311和312可以包括发光元件,例如LED,但不限于此,其运行状态可以通过驱动器(未示出)来监视。具体地,第二光源311和312可以布置成至少选择性地向显示相应的警告灯111和112的区域发射光。即,各个第二光源311和312的光轴可以与在垂直方向(即,在Z轴方向)上显示相应警告灯111和112的区域重叠。
第一分隔板221、222和223布置在扩散器DF与基板210之间,并且第一分隔板221、222和223执行阻挡光的功能,以便防止从第一光源313和第二光源311和312中的每一个发射的光侵入意欲由其他光源照明的发光区域。例如,布置在第二光源312周围的第一分隔板222和223对应于从左数位于第二的警告灯112,并且可以防止在打开第二光源312时从第二光源312发出的光进入从左数位于第一的警告灯111或分段LCD的图形区域113。
扩散器DF均匀地扩散从各个光源311、312和313发射的光,并因此可以防止在与每个光源的光轴相邻的区域与其他区域之间的辐射强度的偏差。
光控制层240可以布置在扩散器DF上。光控制层240可以是具有穿过其形成的微细的散热孔的膜,并且可以通过调节光的分散来控制仪表板的视角。当通过光控制层240在指定范围内调节仪表板的视角时,可以减少仪表板发出的光不必要地被车窗反射并在夜间遮挡驾驶员的视野的现象。在一些实施例中,可以省略光控制层240。可选地,根据另一实施例,在垂直重叠图形区域(其中第一光源313用作背光)的区域中的光控制层240可以由双亮度增强膜(DBEF)代替。在这种情况下,光控制层240和DBEF的厚度可以相同。
偏振层PB和PU以及介于偏振层PB和PU之间的分段LCD面板250、260和270可以布置在光控制层240上。将参照图3和图4描述偏振层PB和PU以及分段LCD面板250、260和270的结构。
图4是示出根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板结构的示例的分解透视图。
参考图3和图4,分别由下偏振层PB和上偏振层PU透射的光的相轴可以在平面中彼此相交。例如,分别由下偏振层PB和上偏振层PU透射的光的相轴之间的相位差可以是90度,但不限于此。在此,下偏振层PB的每个区域中的至少一部分(其中显示各自的警告灯111和112的重叠区域)被切割,即被移除,并且因此可以被第一气隙AG1(或通孔)代替。
仅在下偏振层PB中形成第一气隙AG1的原因如下。
如果基于警告灯111和112的布置位置切割并去除上偏振层PU和下偏振层PB两者,则驾驶员可以通过保护玻璃290看到仪表板内部,因此,仪表板的美观性会劣化。另一方面,如果上偏振层PU和下偏振层PB两者在警告灯111和112的布置位置处都保留,则各偏振层PU和PB的相位彼此交叉,因此,从第二光源311和312发射的光很难通过保护玻璃290发射到外部。如果保留上偏振层PU,并且从警告灯111和112的布置位置切割并去除下偏振层PB,则通过上偏振层PU从外部入射的光的量减少,因此从外部不可以看到仪表板的内部,并且同时,由第二光源311和312发射的光可以到达外部。
分段LCD面板250、260和270可以包括下部玻璃250、布置在下部玻璃250上的液晶层260和布置在液晶层260上的上部玻璃270。液晶层260可以包括注入有液晶LC的液晶区域和液晶坝区域,在该液晶坝区域中,液晶LC的注入被第二分隔板PT阻挡,从而其中不存在液晶。即,第二分隔板PT可以用作液晶区域和液晶坝区域之间的边界。
例如,其中没有注入单独的填充剂的液晶坝区域可以被称为第二气隙AG2,并且一个液晶坝区域AG2可以与至少一个警告灯111或112在垂直方向上重叠。布置液晶坝(dam)区域AG2的原因是将第二光源311和312发出的光出射到外部,而与分段LCD 250、260和270的驱动无关。
尽管图4示出液晶坝区域AG2被第二分隔板围绕并且位于液晶区域的中心部分,但是液晶坝区域AG2不限于该形状,并且可以具有能够防止液晶注入的任何形状。例如,如果液晶坝区域AG2布置在液晶层260的一个边缘处,则第二分隔板不布置在相应的边缘处。
将遮光层280布置在上偏振层PU上。可以通过指定的印刷技术(例如,丝网印刷)将遮光层280设置在保护玻璃290的下表面上,保护玻璃布置在遮光层280上。遮光层280可以布置在平面中除了与预定种类的警告灯111和112以及分段LCD的各个分段113的形状相对应的区域之外的区域中,以便从外部视觉上遮挡除警告灯111和112以及各个分段113之外的区域。
因此,从仪表板的外部看到的各个警告灯111和112的形状可以由穿过遮光层280形成的通孔的形状来确定。例如,在ABS警告灯的情况下,与字母“ABS”相对应的区域可以不用丝网印刷染料来印刷,而除字母以外的区域可以用丝网印刷染料来印刷。
位于最上层的保护玻璃290可以由透光材料形成,并且可以在保护玻璃290的上表面上进一步设置用于防止划痕或光反射的涂层(未示出)。
由于上述仪表板结构,尽管除其中布置了能够表达自由图形图像的第一类型显示面板的第一区域之外的其余全部区域(即第二区域)由分段LCD面板形成,但是可以在第二区域中自由地布置需要监视其运行状态的警告灯。即,由于偏振层和液晶中的一些未布置在与需要对其工作状态进行监视的警告灯相对应的光源的光发射路径中,因此从相应的光源发出的光在没有中间介质的情况下照原样出射到外部,因此由光源驱动器进行监视的结果是可靠的。因此,根据本发明的一个实施例的仪表板可以在满足安全性规定的同时实现自由设计。
本发明可以被实现为其中记录有程序的计算机可读记录介质中的计算机可读代码。这样的计算机可读记录介质可以包括其中存储了计算机系统可读数据的所有类型的记录介质。例如,计算机可读记录介质可以包括硬盘驱动器(HDD)、固态磁盘(SSD)、硅磁盘驱动器(SDD)、ROM、RAM、CD-ROM、磁带、软盘、光学数据存储设备等。
从以上描述中显而易见的是,根据本发明的至少一个实施例的仪表板仅允许特定的警告灯分别使用光源,可以通过驱动器监视其运行状态,并且在相应光源的光发射路径中未布置分段LCD的液晶,从而能够满足安全性规定。
对于本领域技术人员而言显而易见的是,在不脱离本发明的精神或范围的情况下,可以对本发明进行各种修改和变型。因此,本发明旨在覆盖本发明的修改和变型,只要它们落入所附权利要求及其等同物的范围内即可。

Claims (19)

1.一种采用分段液晶显示面板的设备,包括:
分段液晶显示面板,包括多个分段、包括液晶的液晶区域、以及被构造为使得其中不布置所述液晶的液晶坝区域;
基板,布置在所述分段液晶显示面板下方;
第一光源,对应于所述分段液晶显示面板的背光布置在所述基板上;以及
第二光源,布置在所述基板上,并且所述第二光源的光被单独地控制,其中所述液晶坝区域在垂直方向上与所述第二光源重叠。
2.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中,所述第二光源对应于警告灯。
3.根据权利要求2所述的设备,其中,所述警告灯包括与驾驶或制动相关的警告灯。
4.根据权利要求2所述的设备,还包括驱动器,所述驱动器被配置为驱动所述第二光源,其中,所述第二光源包括发光二极管,并且所述驱动器被配置为监视每个所述发光二极管的运行状态。
5.根据权利要求2所述的设备,还包括布置在所述分段液晶显示面板上的保护玻璃。
6.根据权利要求1所述的设备,还包括:
布置在所述分段液晶显示面板上方的上偏振层;以及
布置在所述分段液晶显示面板下方的下偏振层。
7.根据权利要求6所述的设备,其中,在配置为在所述垂直方向上与所述第二光源重叠的位置处穿过所述下偏振层形成通孔。
8.根据权利要求6所述的设备,还包括布置在所述下偏振层下方的光控制层,以调节视角。
9.根据权利要求6所述的设备,其中,由所述上偏振层透射的光的相轴与由所述下偏振层透射的光的相轴相交。

14.一种采用分段液晶显示面板的设备,包括:
分段液晶显示面板,包括下部玻璃、上部玻璃以及在所述下部玻璃与所述上部玻璃之间的液晶区域,所述液晶区域的一部分包括液晶;
基板,设置在所述分段液晶显示面板下方;
第一光源,在所述液晶区域的布置有液晶的一部分的下方布置在所述基板上的所述第一光源对应于所述分段液晶显示面板的背光;以及
多个第二光源,布置在所述基板上,每个第二光源位于所述液晶区域的未布置有液晶的一部分的下方,其中每个第二光源的光是能独立控制的。
15.根据权利要求14所述的设备,其中,每个第二光源对应于警告灯。
16.根据权利要求15所述的设备,其中,所述警告灯包括与驾驶和制动相关的警告灯。
17.根据权利要求15所述的设备,其中,所述第二光源包括发光二极管,所述设备还包括多个发光二极管驱动器,每个发光二极管驱动器被配置为驱动相关联的第二光源并监视相关联的第二光源的运行状态。
