Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic container. According to an aspect of the present invention, there may be provided a cosmetic container including: a housing including an opening portion on one side; a cover which can selectively shield the opening; an applying part which provides a cosmetic material on one side and is provided to be capable of ascending and descending in the housing; and a plurality of levers for moving the cosmetic material to the outside of the opening by moving the applying section upward while rotating the cover in one direction to open the opening, or moving the cosmetic material to the inside of the opening by moving the applying section downward while rotating the cover in the other direction to close the opening.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a cosmetic container.

Background

Recently, the demand for stick cosmetics such as suntan cream or lipstick has increased. Generally, a stick cosmetic is constituted to include: a body containing a cosmetic product in a solid form; and a cover coupled to be detachable from the body. In order to use the stick type cosmetic, a user needs to rotate the main body after separating the cap from the main body to expose the cosmetic to the outside and use it.

However, the conventional stick type cosmetic is inconvenient in that a user needs to use both hands in order to separate the cap from the main body and expose the cosmetic to the outside when using the stick type cosmetic.

In addition, there is a demand for cosmetics that are used with one hand when performing leisure sports activities or caring for children. However, the conventional stick-type cosmetic has a structure that is difficult to use with one hand, and thus there is a problem that the cosmetic may be dropped when the stick-type cosmetic is used with one hand.

Technical problem

Embodiments of the present invention have been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and it is desirable to provide a cosmetic container that a user can operate with one hand.

Further, it is desirable to provide a cosmetic container which can open the lid cover by one operation and which is improved in convenience of use in which the cosmetic is exposed.

Further, it is desirable to provide a cosmetic container having high portability.

Technical scheme

According to an embodiment of the present invention, there may be provided a cosmetic container including: a housing including an opening portion on one side; a cover which can selectively shield the opening; an applying part which provides a cosmetic material on one side and is provided to be capable of ascending and descending in the housing; and a plurality of levers for moving the cosmetic material to the outside of the opening by moving the applying section upward while rotating the cover in one direction to open the opening, or moving the cosmetic material to the inside of the opening by moving the applying section downward while rotating the cover in the other direction to close the opening.

In addition, there may be provided a cosmetic container in which the cover is provided to be rotatable centering on a first rotation axis as a center of the housing, and the plurality of levers include: a first lever provided with one side connected to the first rotating shaft and integrally rotatable with the cover; and a second lever having one side rotatably connected to the other side of the first lever and the other side connected to the applying part.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, wherein the second rod is provided to have a length longer than that of the first rod.

In addition, the first lever may be rotated 180 degrees around the first rotation axis, and the second lever may be connected to the applying part at one side thereof to transmit force to the applying part to raise and lower the applying part.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, wherein the first lever has an angle of 45 degrees with respect to a z-axis when the cover is located at a position to close the opening portion.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, which further includes a guide part provided inside the case to guide the ascending and descending of the application so that the application part can be linearly moved.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, wherein a rod moving space is provided at a lower side and at least a portion of a side surface of the guide part to move the plurality of rods.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided in which a guide auxiliary portion extending downward is provided at the other side of the applying portion to prevent the applying portion from being separated from the guide portion when the applying portion is lifted.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided in which the shape of the outer circumferential surface of the cover is provided to conform to a part of the shape of the inner circumferential surface of the case.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, wherein an action dial is included at a front of the housing, the action dial being coupled with the cap or one of the plurality of levers so as to transmit a rotational force generated by an external force applied by a user to the cap or one of the plurality of levers.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, wherein a movement guide hole is provided at an outer side of the housing for moving the operation dial.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided, wherein a fixing portion elongated in one direction along a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the case is provided at a rear surface of the case.

In addition, a cosmetic container may be provided in which magnets providing attraction to each other are provided at an upper side of the application part and a lower side of the cosmetic to selectively attach the cosmetic to the application part.

Effects of the invention

The cosmetic container according to the embodiment of the present invention has an effect that a user can operate with one hand.

In addition, the cosmetic material can be exposed while the cover is opened by one operation, and the convenience of use can be improved.

In addition, a cosmetic container with high portability can be provided.

Detailed Description

Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In describing the present invention, when it is determined that the gist of the present invention can be confused by a specific description of a related known configuration or function, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

Fig. 1 is a front view illustrating a front of a cosmetic container according to an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 2 is a view illustrating a state where cosmetics of the cosmetic container of fig. 1 are exposed, fig. 3 is a rear view illustrating a rear of the cosmetic container of fig. 1, fig. 4 is a side view illustrating a side of the cosmetic container of fig. 1, and fig. 5 is a sectional view illustrating the front of the cosmetic container taken along line a-a' of fig. 4.

Referring to fig. 1 to 5, the cosmetic container 1 of the present invention may provide the following structure: the user opens the cover 200 with one hand and exposes the cosmetic C to the outside, or closes the cover 200 with one hand and accommodates the cosmetic C inside the casing 100.

Specifically, the cosmetic container 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a housing 100 including an opening 110 on one side; a cover 200 capable of selectively covering the opening 110; an applying part 300 provided with the cosmetic C at one side and provided to be ascendable and descendable in the case 100; and a plurality of

410 and 420 for moving the cosmetic C to the outside of the opening 110 by rotating the cover 200 in one direction and moving the applying part 300 upward while opening the opening 110, or moving the cosmetic C to the inside of the opening 110 by rotating the cover 200 in the other direction and moving the applying part 300 downward while closing the opening 110.

For convenience of explanation, the z-axis direction will be referred to as the vertical direction and the x-axis direction will be referred to as the horizontal direction with reference to fig. 1.

The housing 100 may have any three-dimensional shape that a user can hold with one hand and conveniently rotate the cover 200 or the first lever 410 with fingers. For example, the case 100 may have a predetermined thickness (with the y-axis direction as a reference), and be formed in a circular shape excluding the side where the opening 110 is formed when viewed from the xz plane. The length of the long axis of the case 100 may be 60mm to 80mm, and the thickness of the case 100 may be 15mm to 50 mm. However, the shape of the case 100 is not limited thereto, and may be provided in various shapes such as a cylindrical shape, a rectangular parallelepiped shape, and the like.

In addition, the case 100 may provide a space for containing the cosmetic C inside, and an opening 110 through which the cosmetic C may be introduced and discharged is formed at one side.

The opening 110 may be formed at an angle of 45 degrees (with respect to the xz plane) around the first rotation axis R1.

The size and shape of the opening portion 110 may be formed to correspond to the size of the xy cross-section of the cosmetic C so as to be advanced into and out of the casing 100 when the cosmetic C ascends and descends. The cosmetic C may be a solid cosmetic that can be fixed to the applicator 300 described later. For example, cosmetic C may be a solid cosmetic such as a suncream, lipstick, or the like.

An action dial 120 may be provided at the front of the housing 100, and the action dial 120 is coupled with the cover 200 or the first lever 410 so as to transmit a rotational force generated by an external force applied by a user to the cover 200 or the first lever 410.

In the present embodiment, a case where at least a part of the operation dial 120 penetrates a part of the housing 100 and is connected to the first lever 410 will be described. In this case, when the user rotates the operation dial 120, the first lever 410 connected to the operation dial 120 rotates, and thereby the cover 200 rotates to open or close the opening 110.

The operation dial 120 may rotate relative to the housing 100, and may be formed to protrude outward of the housing 100. In this case, the user rotates the protruding operation dial 120, so that the cover 200 can be easily opened or closed.

A fixing portion 130 may be provided at the rear of the housing 100 to facilitate one-handed holding by a user.

The fixing portion 130 may be a protrusion extending in one direction along a portion of the outer circumferential surface of the housing 100. In this case, the user can insert the fixing portion 130 between the middle finger and the ring finger and rotate the operation dial 120 formed on the front surface of the housing 100 with the thumb. By providing the fixing portion 130 as described above, it is possible to reduce the risk of dropping the cosmetic container 1 when the user operates the cosmetic container 1 with one hand.

The cover 200 can selectively block the opening 110 formed in the housing 100 and rotate about the first rotation axis R1 provided in the housing 100. Here, the first rotation axis R1 may be understood as a central axis of the housing 100.

The outer peripheral surface 202 of the cover 200 may have a shape conforming to a portion of the inner peripheral surface 102 of the housing 100. In this case, since the inner peripheral surface 102 of the housing 100 can function to guide the rotation of the cover 200, the cover 200 can move along the inner peripheral surface 102 of the housing 100 while rotating about the first rotation axis R1.

For example, the outer peripheral surface 202 of the xz-axis cross section of the cover 200 may have a fan shape having a predetermined angle, and the portion of the inner peripheral surface of the xz-axis cross section of the housing 100 excluding the opening 110 may have a circular shape.

One side of the cover 200 is connected to a first lever 410 described later and is rotatable integrally with the first lever 410, which will be described later in detail.

In the present embodiment, the case where the cover 200 is rotated inside the housing 100 is exemplified, however, the idea of the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the cover 200 may move along the outer circumferential surface of the housing 100. In this case, a hole may be provided at an outer circumferential surface of the housing 100 for moving the first and

In addition, the cover 200 may have a certain thickness, and the cover 200 may have a dome shape. For example, the inner peripheral surface of the cover 200 may be formed in a fan shape (based on the zx cross section), and in this case, a large space can be secured inside the casing 100 in which the cosmetic material C can be disposed.

In the present embodiment, the cover 200 is formed approximately 180 degrees with respect to the xz plane, but the size of the cover 200 is not limited as long as the cover can close the opening 110.

Further, although not shown, a tool may be provided on the outside of the cover 200 and the inside of the housing 100 to prevent the cover 200 from being opened by itself when the cover 200 is in the closed position (see fig. 6(a) described later). For example, a magnet that acts an attractive force may be provided at a side of the cover 200 and the housing 100 opposite to each other when the cover 200 is located at the closed position. However, not limited thereto, when the cover 200 is located at the closed position, a protrusion and a groove may be provided at a side where the cover 200 and the housing 100 are opposite to each other, which may be engaged with each other.

The application part 300 may be provided with the cosmetic C on one side and may be provided to be ascendable and descendable in the housing 100 by a force applied by a second lever 420, which will be described later. The ascending and descending of the applying part 300 may be understood as movement in the z-axis direction in which the opening 110 is formed.

The applying part 300 may have an arbitrary three-dimensional shape in order to fix the cosmetic C. The applying part 300 may be guided by a wire part 500, which will be described later, to be raised and lowered in a linear direction (z-axis).

On the opposite side of the applying part 300 where the cosmetic C is provided, a guide auxiliary part 310 elongated toward the lower side may be provided. At this time, the guide auxiliary part 310 may prevent the applying part 300 from being separated from the guide part 500 when the applying part 300 ascends.

The guide auxiliary part 310 may be extended from the outer circumferential surface of the applying part 300 toward the lower side, and may be formed along the lower outer circumferential surface of the applying part 300 entirely or partially.

A tool for selectively fixing the cosmetic C may be provided at an upper side of the applying part 300. For example, magnets (not shown) having different polarities from each other may be provided on the upper side of the applying part 300 and the lower side of the cosmetic C. In this case, the user can use the cosmetic C in place by removing the magnet attached to the lower side of the used cosmetic C and attaching a new cosmetic C to the applicator 300.

410 and 420 may have a long bar shape and move relative to each other to rotate the cover 200 while the spreading part 300 is lifted or lowered.

The second lever 420 may be formed to be longer than the first lever 410. For example, the length of the second rod 420 may be formed to be longer than the first rod 410 by 1mm to 2 mm. However, not limited thereto, the difference between the lengths of the second rod 420 and the first rod 410 may be different according to the sizes of the housing 100 and the cover 200. As described above, by forming the second lever 420 to be longer than the first lever 410, the ascending and descending of the applying part 300 can be realized by the rotation of the first lever 410 and the cover 200.

One side of the first lever 410 may be connected with the first rotation axis R1 as the center of the housing 100, and the other side of the first lever 410 may be connected with the second lever 420 and the cover 200. The first lever 410, the second lever 420, and the cover 200 may be connected to the third rotation axis R3 to be movable.

One side of the second lever 420 may be connected with the other side of the first lever 410 and the cover 200, and the other side of the second lever 420 may be connected with the second rotation axis R2 as the center of the applying part 300.

The first lever 410 may be provided to be rotatable 180 degrees centering on the first rotation axis R1.

When the cover 200 is positioned to close the opening 110 (fig. 6(a) described later), the first lever 410 may have an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the z-axis. In this case, when the cover 200 moves from the position for closing the opening 110 to the open position (when the first lever 410 is rotated by 90 degrees), the applicator 300 moves down and then moves up, and thus can move to the home position before the cover 200 is opened.

The second lever 420 is forced from the first lever 410 at one side thereof and connected to the applying part 300 at the other side thereof, so that it can transmit force to the applying part 300 to raise and lower the applying part 300.

The guide part 500 may be provided to raise and lower the applying part 300 in one direction (z-axis direction).

The guide part 500 has a shape surrounding the application part 300 and the cosmetic C, and a rod moving space S may be formed on a path along which the first rod 410 and the second rod 420 move. For example, when the applying part 300 and the cosmetic C are formed in a cylindrical shape, the guide part 500 may be formed in a cylindrical shape surrounding the applying part 300 and the cosmetic C. At this time, a rod moving space S may be formed at a portion of the lower side and the side of the guide 500 to move the first rod 410 and the second rod 420.

However, the shape of the guide part 500 is not limited to this, and a long groove (not shown) may be formed in a part of the housing 100 in the z-axis direction, and a protrusion (not shown) that can be inserted into the groove may be formed in a part of the applying part 300, so that the applying part 300 is moved up and down in a straight line.

Fig. 6 is a sectional view showing a state in which the cosmetic container 1 of fig. 1 operates according to the operation of the user.

Specifically, fig. 6(a) is a view showing a cross section of the cosmetic container 1 of fig. 1, and fig. 6(e) is a view showing a cross section of the cosmetic container 1 of fig. 2. Here, the cosmetic container 1 in fig. 6(a) can be understood as a state in which the cosmetic C is stored, and the cosmetic container 1 in fig. 6(e) can be understood as a state in which the cosmetic C is used.

Referring to fig. 1 to 6, a process of operating the cosmetic container 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention is described as follows.

In a state where the cap 200 blocks the opening 110 and the cosmetic C is blocked from the outside (see fig. 6(a)), the user rotates the operation dial 120 in one direction (counterclockwise direction), so that the first lever 410 and the cap 200 can rotate in one direction (counterclockwise direction). At this time, the first lever 410 and the second lever 420 are connected to each other at the third rotation axis R3, so that the second lever 420 can be lowered by a predetermined length by the rotation of the first lever 410.

In a state where the cosmetic C is blocked from the outside (see fig. 6(a)), when the cover 200 and the first lever 410 are rotated by 45 degrees by an external force applied by the user (fig. 6(b)), the opening portion 110 may be opened 1/2. At this time, the applying part 300 may be located at the lowermost end during the entire movement. When the cap 200 is moved from fig. 6(a) to fig. 6(b), the applying part 300 may be lowered by a predetermined length, and thus interference between the cap 200 and the cosmetic C may be prevented.

Then, in a state where the cosmetic material C is blocked from the outside (refer to fig. 6(a)), when the cover 200 and the first lever 410 are rotated by 90 degrees by an external force applied by the user (fig. 6(C)), the opening portion 110 may be completely opened and the applying part 300 may be lifted up to be located at the same position as the applying part 300 in fig. 6 (a). The first lever 410 applies a force to the second lever 420 according to the rotation, and the second lever 420 applies a force to the applicator 300, so that the applicator 300 can be lifted.

Then, in a state where the cosmetic material C is blocked from the outside (refer to fig. 6(a)), when the cover 200 and the first lever 410 are rotated by 112.5 degrees by an external force applied by a user (fig. 6(d)), at least a portion of the cosmetic material C may be exposed to the outside. The first lever 410 and the second lever 420 may be coupled to each other at the third rotation axis R3 to apply a force to the second lever 420, and the second lever 420 may be guided by the guide part 500 to be raised and the applicator 300 may be raised.

Then, in a state where the cosmetic C is blocked from the outside (refer to fig. 6(a)), when the cover 200 and the first lever 410 are rotated by 135 degrees by an external force applied by the user (fig. 6(e)), the cosmetic C may be lifted maximally. At this time, the guide auxiliary part 310 is extended downward from the applying part 300, so that the applying part 300 can be prevented from being separated from the guide part 500.

When the first lever 410 and the second lever 420 are moved from the state of fig. 6(a) to the state of fig. 6(c), a lever moving space S is provided at least in a part of the lower side of the guide 500, so that the first lever 410 and the second lever 420 can be moved without interference with the guide 500. When the first lever 410 and the second lever 420 are moved from the state of fig. 6(c) to the state of fig. 6(e), the lever moving space S is provided in at least a part of the side surface of the guide 500, so that the first lever 410 and the second lever 420 can be moved without interference with the guide 500.

When the cosmetic container 1 is operated from fig. 6(a) to fig. 6(e), the cosmetic C can be switched from the storage state to the use state. On the contrary, when the cosmetic container 1 is operated from fig. 6 e to fig. 6 a, the cosmetic C can be switched from the use state to the storage state (the state in which the cosmetic C is blocked from the outside).

The operation and effect of the cosmetic container 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention configured as described above are explained below.

The cosmetic container 1 of the present invention may provide the following structure: the user opens the cover 200 with one hand and exposes the cosmetic C to the outside, or closes the cover 200 with one hand and accommodates the cosmetic C inside the casing 100.

The second lever 420 may be formed to be longer than the first lever 410. As described above, by forming the second lever 420 to be longer than the first lever 410, the ascending and descending of the applying part 300 can be realized by the rotation of the first lever 410.

A fixing portion 130 may be provided at the rear of the housing 100 to facilitate one-handed holding by a user. In this case, the user can insert the fixing portion 130 between the middle finger and the ring finger and rotate the operation dial 120 formed on the front surface of the housing 100 with the thumb. By providing the fixing portion 130 as described above, it is possible to reduce the risk of dropping the cosmetic container 1 when the user operates the cosmetic container 1 with one hand.

Hereinafter, a cosmetic container 1' according to other embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 7. However, since the embodiment of fig. 7 differs from the above embodiment in the position where the operation dial is disposed, the difference will be mainly described, and the description and reference numerals of the above embodiment will be applied to the same parts.

The operation dial 120 'of the cosmetic container 1' according to another embodiment of the present invention may be disposed on the third rotation axis R3 where the first and

410 and 420 meet each other.

In this case, a movement guide hole 115 may be provided at the outer periphery of the housing 100 to connect the operation dial 120' with the first lever 410 to move.

When the operation dial 120 'is located at the first position K1, the cover 200 can close the opening 110 (the position corresponding to fig. 6(a)), and when the operation dial 120' is located at the second position K2, the cover 200 can open the opening 110, and the cosmetic C can be exposed to the outside of the casing 100 (the position corresponding to fig. 6 (e)).

However, the concept of the present invention is not limited thereto, and the position where the operation dial 120 'is disposed is not limited as long as the operation dial 120' is connected to at least one of the cap 200 and the first lever 410 to rotate the cap 200 and the first lever 410.

The following is a listing of embodiments of the present invention.

Item 3 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 and 2, wherein the second rod is provided to have a length longer than a length of the first rod.

Item 4 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 3, wherein the first lever is provided to be rotatable 180 degrees about the first rotation axis, and the second lever has one side to be manually operated from the first lever and the other side to be connected to the applying part to transmit force to the applying part to raise and lower the applying part.

Item 5 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 4, wherein the first lever has an angle of 45 degrees with respect to a z-axis when the cover is located at a position to close the opening portion.

Item 6 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 5, further comprising a guide provided inside the housing, guiding the ascending and descending of the application to enable the linear movement of the application part.

Item 7 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 6, wherein a rod moving space is provided at a lower side and at least a portion of a side surface of the guide to move the plurality of rods.

Item 8 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 7, wherein a guide auxiliary portion elongated toward a lower side is provided at the other side of the application portion to prevent the application portion from being detached from the guide portion when the application portion is lifted.

Item 9 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 8, wherein it may be provided that a shape of an outer peripheral surface of the cover conforms to a part of a shape of an inner peripheral surface of the housing.

Item 10 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 9, wherein an action dial is included at a front of the housing, and is coupled to the cover or one of the plurality of levers, so that a rotational force generated by an external force applied by a user is transmitted to the cover or one of the plurality of levers.

Item 12 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 11, wherein a fixing portion elongated in a direction along a part of an outer circumferential surface of the housing is provided at a rear surface of the housing.

Item 13 may provide the cosmetic container of items 1 to 12, wherein magnets providing attraction to each other are provided on an upper side of the application part and a lower side of the cosmetic to selectively attach the cosmetic to the application part.

The cosmetic container according to the embodiment of the present invention has been described above by way of specific embodiments, but it is merely an example, and it should be construed that the present invention is not limited thereto but has the widest scope based on the basic concept disclosed in the present specification. Those skilled in the art can combine, replace, and implement the disclosed embodiments in patterns of shapes not shown, without departing from the scope of the present invention. In addition, it is clear that those skilled in the art can easily make changes or modifications to the embodiments based on the disclosure in the present specification, and the changes or modifications also fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention.

Claims

1. A cosmetic container, comprising:

a housing including an opening portion on one side;

a cover which can selectively shield the opening;

an applying part which provides a cosmetic material on one side and is provided to be capable of ascending and descending in the housing; and

and a plurality of rods for moving the cosmetic material to the outside of the opening by moving the applying section upward while rotating the cover in one direction to open the opening, or moving the cosmetic material to the inside of the opening by moving the applying section downward while rotating the cover in the other direction to close the opening.

2. The cosmetic container according to claim 1, wherein,

the cover is provided to be rotatable centering on a first rotation axis as a center of the housing,

the plurality of rods includes:

a first lever provided with one side connected to the first rotating shaft and integrally rotatable with the cover; and

and one side of the second rod is rotatably connected to the other side of the first rod, and the other side of the second rod is connected with the smearing part.

3. The cosmetic container according to claim 2, wherein provision is made for the length of the second rod to be longer than the length of the first rod.

4. The cosmetic container according to claim 2, wherein,

the first lever is provided to be rotatable 180 degrees centering on the first rotation axis,

one side of the second rod is stressed from the first rod, and the other side of the second rod is connected with the smearing part to transmit force to the smearing part so as to enable the smearing part to ascend and descend.

5. The cosmetic container according to claim 2, wherein the first lever has an angle of 45 degrees with respect to a z-axis when the cover is located at a position to close the opening portion.

6. The cosmetic container according to claim 1, further comprising a guide part provided inside the case, guiding the ascending and descending of the application to enable the linear movement of the application part.

7. The cosmetic container according to claim 6, wherein a rod moving space is provided at a lower side and at least a portion of a side surface of the guide portion for movement of the plurality of rods.

8. The cosmetic container according to claim 6, wherein a guide auxiliary portion elongated toward a lower side is provided at the other side of the application portion to prevent the application portion from being separated from the guide portion when the application portion is lifted.

9. The cosmetic container according to claim 1, wherein a shape of an outer peripheral surface provided as the cover is conformed to a part of a shape of an inner peripheral surface of the housing.

10. The cosmetic container according to claim 1, wherein an action dial is included at a front of the housing, the action dial being connected with the cap or one of the plurality of rods so as to transmit a rotational force generated by an external force applied by a user to the cap or one of the plurality of rods.

11. The cosmetic container according to claim 10, wherein a movement guide hole is provided at an outer side of the housing for moving the action dial.

12. The cosmetic container according to claim 1, wherein a fixing portion elongated in a direction along a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the housing is provided at a rear surface of the housing.

13. The cosmetic container according to claim 1, wherein magnets providing an attractive force to each other are provided at an upper side of the application part and a lower side of the cosmetic to selectively attach the cosmetic to the application part.
