Abstract

A lipstick, replaceable actuator mechanism for a lipstick and housing, wherein the lipstick includes an actuator mechanism having an inner tubular member connected to a lipstick stick for moving said lipstick stick in an axial direction, said actuator mechanism being connected to a base. The actuator mechanism comprises magnetic means located within the inner tubular element and magnetic means located on the bottom of the base body, and the bottom of the base body has connection means connected by a joggled connection formed by a polygonal shape complementary to the substantially polygonal shape in the base of the inner tubular element.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a lipstick provided with a replaceable actuator mechanism and a housing for such a replaceable actuator mechanism.

More particularly, the present invention provides an improvement in a lipstick including a replaceable actuator mechanism that can be separated from the base body of the lipstick for removal and replacement in a quick and simple manner.

Background

Conventional lipsticks typically include an actuator mechanism having an inner tubular member connected to the stick for the user to move the stick inwardly and outwardly, the actuator mechanism being housed in a tubular base.

In the prior art, there are different actuation mechanisms; however, most of them do not allow for replacement of such actuator mechanisms with built-in lipstick bars. Thus, when the lipstick stick is used up, the entire assembly is discarded and re-use of, for example, the outer housing (i.e., base and cover) is not possible. Also, it is not possible for the user to customize the assembly, and the entire assembly is sold as a single non-removable unit, which makes it impossible to customize different parts of the lipstick assembly.

Moreover, the applicant is not presently aware of technical solutions having all the features described in this specification.

SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL

It is an object of the present invention to provide a lipstick and housing with a replaceable actuator mechanism which is novel in the field of application and which addresses the aforementioned drawbacks and which provides other advantages which will be apparent from the following description.

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a lipstick including an actuator mechanism having an inner tubular member connected to a lipstick stick for axially moving the lipstick stick, the actuator mechanism being connected to a tubular base. In particular, the invention is characterized in that said actuator mechanism comprises magnetic means located in said inner tubular element and at the bottom of said base body, and in that the bottom of said base body has connection means connected by a meshing connection formed by a polygonal shape complementary to the polygon in the base of said inner tubular element.

Due to these features, handling and replacement of the lipstick (cosmetic) part becomes easier, so that users can customize the lipstick stick according to their needs, preferences or tastes without having to discard the entire assembly constituting the lipstick. Another equally important advantage is the simplicity of construction which allows the actuator mechanism to be removed with the lipstick stick for replacement.

In this way, the user may select the shape and design of the housing and combine it with a plurality of lipstick models, e.g., having different colors, textures, tastes, appearances, etc.

According to another aspect of the invention, the connection means comprise a projection projecting axially from the inner surface of the bottom of the base body, the lateral surface of the projection having a plurality of adjacent straight faces of complementary shape and size to the straight faces formed in the recess defined in the base of the inner tubular element.

In an alternative embodiment, the connection means comprise a projection projecting from the outer surface of the base portion of the inner tubular element, said projection having a plurality of adjacent straight faces arranged radially, said straight faces being of complementary shape and size to the straight faces formed in the recessed portion defined in the base body.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a replaceable actuator mechanism for lipstick having an inner tubular element associated with a lipstick stick, said inner tubular element being insertable in a tubular base body of the lipstick, characterized in that said actuator mechanism comprises magnetic means located in said inner tubular element for magnetic connection with magnetic means located in said base body, and in that said actuator mechanism further comprises connection means connected by an engagement connection formed by a polygonal shape in the base of said inner tubular element.

Said exchangeable actuator mechanism may be comprised in a housing having a top opening with dimensions suitable for insertion of at least one of said inner tubular elements, the housing protecting the actuator mechanism on the one hand and for example combining two or more actuator mechanisms together for sale on the other hand.

Detailed Description

In view of the above drawings and the reference numerals employed, there may be seen therein examples of preferred embodiments of the present invention, including the parts and elements thereof particularly pointed out and described hereinafter.

According to one embodiment of a lipstick comprising a base body 1, a cover 2 closable at one end of the base body 1 and an actuator mechanism generally indicated with 3, the actuator mechanism 3 has an inner tubular element 4 made of plastic material, the inner tubular element 4 being connected to a lipstick rod 5 for moving the lipstick rod in an axial direction, the actuator mechanism 3 being partially housed in the base body 1.

The internal components of the actuator mechanism that enable the lipstick stick 5 to move inwardly and outwardly, such as a rotary guide system that enables both axial and rotary motion, are not described in detail herein.

The actuator mechanism comprises magnetic means 6, more specifically magnets, located in a housing inside the inner tubular element 4 and on the bottom of the base body 1, wherein the bottom of the base body 1 has connection means which are connected by a joggled connection formed by a polygonal shape which is complementary to the substantially polygonal shape in the base of the inner tubular element 4.

Figures 2a-b and 3 show the connection means in a first embodiment, which comprises a projection 10 (see figure 3) projecting axially from the inner surface of the bottom of the base body 1, the lateral surface of the projection 10 having a plurality of adjacent straight faces 101, the shape and dimensions of the faces 101 being complementary to those of the straight faces formed in the recess 40 defined in the base of the inner tubular element 4.

In an alternative embodiment shown in fig. 4a-b, in which the same reference numerals are used to designate common or similar components, the connection means comprise a conical projection 41 projecting from the outer surface of the base of the inner tubular element 4, the projection 41 having a plurality of adjacent straight faces arranged radially, the shape and size of the straight faces being complementary to the straight faces formed in the recessed portion defined in the base body 1.

As can be seen from fig. 5, for the sale of actuator mechanisms, they can be sold individually or in combination, such that the combination is packaged in a housing or container 7 made of any suitable material, and the top opening can be closed by a top cover 8, sized for insertion of a plurality of actuator mechanisms 3.

The details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements used for manufacturing the lipstick of the present invention may be substituted appropriately for other details, shapes, dimensions and elements without departing from the scope defined by the claims.

Claims

1. A lipstick comprising an actuator mechanism (3), said actuator mechanism (3) having an inner tubular element (4), said inner tubular element (4) being associated with a lipstick stick for moving said lipstick stick in an axial direction, said actuator mechanism (3) being associated with a base body (1), characterised in that said actuator mechanism comprises magnetic means located inside said inner tubular element and magnetic means located on the bottom of said base body, and in that the bottom of said base body has connection means connected by a joggled connection formed by a polygonal shape complementary to the polygonal shape in the base of said inner tubular element (4).

A lipstick according to claim 1 characterized in that said connection means comprise a projection (10) axially projecting from the inner surface of the bottom of said base, the lateral surface of said projection having a plurality of adjacent straight faces of complementary shape and size to those formed in a recess (40) defined in the base of said inner tubular element (4).

3. A lipstick as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that said connection means comprise a conical projection (41) projecting from the outer surface of the base of said inner tubular element (4), said projection having a plurality of adjacent straight faces arranged radially, said faces being of complementary shape and size to the straight faces formed in the recessed portion defined in said base body (1).

Replaceable actuator mechanism (3) for lipstick, said actuator mechanism (3) having an inner tubular element (4) connected to a lipstick stick, said inner tubular element (4) being insertable into a tubular base body of a lipstick, characterised in that said actuator mechanism (3) comprises magnetic means in said inner tubular element (4) for magnetic connection with magnetic means in said base body, and in that said actuator mechanism further comprises connection means connected by a joggled connection formed by a polygonal shape in the base of said inner tubular element (4).

5. A housing for accommodating at least one exchangeable actuator mechanism (3) according to claim 4, characterized in that the housing comprises a top opening having a size adapted to be inserted into at least one of the inner tubular elements (4).
