Detailed Description
The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings is provided to assist in a comprehensive understanding of the embodiments of the disclosure defined by the claims and their equivalents. Various specific details are included to aid understanding, but are merely to be considered exemplary. Accordingly, one of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the present disclosure. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
In this disclosure, terms including ordinal numbers such as "first," "second," and the like may be used to describe various elements, but these elements should not be construed as limited to only these terms. These terms are only used to distinguish one element from another element. For example, a first element could be termed a second element, and vice versa, without departing from the scope of the present disclosure.
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to the like elements throughout. Hereinafter, according to various embodiments of the present disclosure, the apparatus and method of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a screen brightness adjustment method of an electronic device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. The screen brightness adjustment method shown in fig. 1 may be performed in an electronic device.
The electronic device may be any electronic device having a display function. In exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, the electronic apparatus may include, for example, but not limited to, a portable communication device (e.g., a smart phone), a computer device, a portable multimedia device, a portable medical device, a wearable device, and the like. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the electronic device is not limited to those mobile terminals described above.
Referring to fig. 1, in step S101, it is determined whether an application currently running in the electronic device is included in the screen brightness adjustment application list. The screen brightness adjustment application list is a list storing applications suitable for intelligent brightness control (Intelligence Brightness Control, IBC) to achieve screen brightness adjustment in intelligent scenes. The screen brightness adjustment application list may be a fixed list or a dynamic list. In the present disclosure, since applications commonly used by each user are different and new applications are downloaded according to the needs, in order to meet the needs of each user and meet the user's habits, a dynamic list may be employed as a screen brightness adjustment application list, so that a dedicated screen brightness adjustment application list is customized for each user and updated periodically (e.g., daily, weekly, or monthly). How the dynamic updating of the screen brightness adjustment application list is implemented will be described in detail below with reference to fig. 2.
IBC is a method for dynamically adjusting screen brightness according to RBG gray values of current picture content, for example, suitable screen brightness is correspondingly reduced based on different gray values of a picture, the larger the picture gray value is, the more the reduced brightness is, the lower the picture gray value is, the brightness is not reduced, and the like, so that good viewing experience of a user is ensured, and meanwhile, power consumption of electronic equipment is saved.
When the foreground application is switched, acquiring the packet name of the current foreground application switched to, comparing the packet name of the current foreground application with the packet names of the applications existing in the screen brightness adjustment application list, if the screen brightness adjustment application list contains the packet name of the application, proceeding to step S102, otherwise, indicating that the application is not a target application suitable for adjusting the screen brightness scheme according to the picture content, namely, not starting intelligent brightness control.
In step S102, if it is determined that the currently running application is included in the screen brightness adjustment application list, screen brightness adjustment is performed using the intelligent brightness control method according to the picture content of the currently running application. When the user runs an application belonging to the screen brightness adjustment application list, the screen brightness can be adaptively adjusted according to the content change of the current application.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method of updating a screen brightness adjustment application list according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 2, in step S201, a screen brightness adjustment application list is created and initialized. In the present disclosure, the list of screen brightness adjustment applications is set to a dynamic list, because a fixed list preset by an electronic device manufacturer may not meet the needs of all users, for example, some applications rarely used by users add to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications, some applications commonly used by users do not add to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications, or applications newly downloaded by users are applicable to IBC technology but cannot be added to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications, thereby resulting in limitation of intelligent brightness adjustment.
A dynamic list may be preset as a screen brightness adjustment application list, applications existing in the electronic device are classified into a first type of application suitable for screen brightness adjustment and a second type of application unsuitable for screen brightness adjustment, and the first type of application is stored as a preset application in the screen brightness adjustment application list and is given default usage data correlation values, respectively.
According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the first type of applications may include chat-type applications (such as WeChat, etc.), news-type applications (web news, etc.), browser-type applications (such as UC browser, etc.), shopping-type applications (such as Taobao, etc.), reading-type applications (such as QQ reading, etc.), and other applications suitable for screen brightness adjustment, and the second type of applications may include system-type applications, navigation-type applications (such as Goldmap), game-type applications, and other applications not suitable for screen brightness adjustment (such as samsung, samsung album, etc.). However, the above examples are merely exemplary, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
At the time of list initialization, a main stream application (e.g., an application ranked in a front predetermined position in a download list of an application store) among reading class, news class, browser class, shopping class, chat class applications may be added as a preset application to the screen brightness adjustment application list, without adding the first class application to the screen brightness adjustment application list in full.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, preferably, the usage data may be screen consumption data of the application, and the usage data related value may be a screen consumption percentage of the application. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
As an example, when the first type of application (or the main stream application belonging to the first type of application) is added to the screen brightness adjustment application list, the applications added to the screen brightness adjustment application list are respectively given default screen power consumption percentage values. For example, a default screen consumption percentage value of an application added to the screen brightness adjustment application list may be set to 20. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto, and the default screen consumption percentage may be differently set according to design requirements.
Further, applications of a system class, a navigation class, a game class, etc. may be added to another dynamic list as an excluded application list.
Alternatively, the screen brightness adjustment application list may be classified into a first sub-list and a second sub-list according to user habits when the screen brightness adjustment application list is initialized. For example, the first sub-list is a work day list and the second sub-list is a break day list. In the list initialization phase, the first sub-list and the second sub-list may be set to the same dynamic list.
In step S202, usage data of each application existing in the electronic device for a predetermined period of time is acquired. The battery status and detailed power consumption data of the user using the respective applications in the electronic device may be periodically acquired. For example, battery status and detailed power consumption data for a user using various applications in the electronic device may be obtained daily or weekly. When the usage data is set as the screen consumption data of the applications, the screen consumption percentage of each application may be calculated from the consumption percentage=consumption data×100/battery capacity.
In step S203, the screen brightness adjustment application list is updated according to the acquired usage data.
The usage data related value of each application included in the screen brightness adjustment application list may be attenuated by a specific value at predetermined time intervals. If the usage data related value of a specific application in each application decays to be equal to or less than zero, the specific application is deleted from the screen brightness adjustment application list.
As an example, the percentage of screen consumption of the applications in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications may be attenuated by a certain value daily, weekly or monthly, for example, the percentage of screen consumption of the applications in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications may be attenuated by 2 daily, or by 10 weekly. The above examples are merely exemplary, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. And if the screen power consumption percentage is smaller than 0, deleting the corresponding application from the screen brightness adjustment application list so as to dynamically delete the application which is not frequently used recently by the user in the screen brightness adjustment application list.
The applications may be ranked according to the use data correlation value, and a number of first applications ranked in front among the applications may be compared with applications included in the screen brightness adjustment application list, and the screen brightness adjustment application list may be updated according to the comparison result. Specifically, if the first application is not in the screen brightness adjustment application list and does not belong to the second type of application unsuitable for screen brightness adjustment, the first application is added to the screen brightness adjustment application list. If the first application is not in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications and belongs to the second class of applications, the first application is not added to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications. If the first application is in the screen brightness adjustment application list, accumulating the usage data related value of the first application to the usage data related value of the same application in the screen brightness adjustment application list.
As an example, after the screen power consumption data of each application in the electronic device is acquired, the screen power consumption data of each application may be sorted from large to small, and the application ranked in the first five bits may be selected. Comparing the package name of the selected application with the package names of the applications in the screen brightness adjustment application list, and if the selected application is the application in the screen brightness adjustment application list, accumulating the screen power consumption data of the selected application to the screen power consumption data of the corresponding application in the screen brightness adjustment application list. For example, the WeChat application has been previously present in the screen brightness adjustment application list and the percentage of screen consumption recorded in the screen brightness adjustment application list is 18%, and according to the obtained percentage of screen consumption, the percentage of screen consumption of the WeChat application is 4% and the second bit of each application is listed, at which time the percentage of screen consumption of the WeChat application is added to the percentage of screen consumption of the application in the screen brightness adjustment application list. If the selected application is not the application in the screen brightness adjustment application list, the application is added into the screen brightness adjustment application list according to the first five digits of the screen power consumption percentage list of the application, and the acquired screen power consumption percentage of the application is taken as the default power consumption percentage of the application, namely, the relevant value of the application use data is initialized to the currently acquired application screen power consumption percentage. If the application belongs to the second class of application, the application is not processed
Alternatively, only the battery status and the screen consumption data of applications other than the second type of application may be acquired, because applications such as cameras, games, etc. are not suitable for screen brightness adjustment, so only the screen consumption data of the remaining applications are counted. For example, after acquiring the screen consumption data of the applications in the electronic device, the applications belonging to the second class of applications or existing in the application exclusion list may be excluded, and the screen consumption data of the remaining applications may be counted.
Alternatively, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a first application in which a usage data related value in each application of the electronic device exceeds a predetermined threshold may be compared with an application included in a screen brightness adjustment application list, and the screen brightness adjustment application list may be updated according to the comparison result. If the first application is not in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications and does not belong to a second class of applications not suitable for screen brightness adjustment (not present in the list of excluded applications), the first application is added to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications.
For example, according to the acquired power consumption percentage of the application in the electronic device, the package name of the application with the power consumption percentage exceeding 5% is compared with the package name of the application existing in the screen brightness adjustment application list, and if the application is the application in the screen brightness adjustment application list, the screen power consumption data of the application is accumulated to the screen power consumption data of the corresponding application in the screen brightness adjustment application list. For example, the WeChat application has been previously present in the screen brightness adjustment application list and the percentage of screen consumption recorded in the screen brightness adjustment application list is 18%, and according to the obtained percentage of screen consumption, the percentage of screen consumption of the WeChat application is 7%, exceeding the preset percentage of screen consumption by 5%, at which time the percentage of screen consumption of the WeChat application is added to the percentage of screen consumption of the application in the screen brightness adjustment application list. If the application is not the application in the screen brightness adjustment application list, the screen power consumption percentage of the application exceeds 5% of the preset screen power consumption percentage according to the acquired screen power consumption percentage, the application is added into the screen brightness adjustment application list, the acquired screen power consumption percentage of the application is taken as the default screen power consumption percentage of the application, and the related value of the application use data is initialized to be the currently acquired application screen power consumption percentage. If the application belongs to the second class of applications, the application is not processed.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when a new application is installed into an electronic device, it may be determined whether the new application belongs to a first type of application suitable for screen brightness adjustment. And if the new application belongs to the first type of application, acquiring the use data of the new application. If the usage data related value of the new application exceeds a predetermined threshold or the new application is ordered in the first several positions in the applications existing in the electronic device and in the new application according to the usage data related value, the new application is added to the screen brightness adjustment application list and the usage data of the new application is added to the screen brightness adjustment application list as a default usage data related value of the new application.
As an example, when a user newly downloaded application belongs to a chat-like application and the application is ranked in the electronic device according to the first five bits of the acquired usage data (such as the percentage of screen consumption) of the application, the newly downloaded application is stored in a screen brightness adjustment application list, so as to realize that the screen brightness of the new application is adaptively adjusted when the content of the new application is changed during running, ensure good reading experience of the user and save the power consumption of the screen.
According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, when initializing the screen brightness adjustment application list, if it is initialized to a first sub-list (such as a work day list) and a second sub-list (such as a rest day list) according to user habits, the first sub-list and the second sub-list may be updated accordingly according to the acquired usage data and the time corresponding to the usage data. For example, whether it is a weekday or a holiday is determined by a date corresponding to screen consumption data of an application in the electronic device, and then the percentage of screen consumption in the weekday list or the holiday list corresponding to the screen brightness adjustment application list is updated daily, weekly, or monthly. Then, the above is merely exemplary, and the number of sub-lists is not limited thereto.
Fig. 3 is a block diagram illustrating a screen brightness adjusting apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. The screen brightness adjustment device 300 may be implemented in software or hardware, such as a chip-on-a-chip.
Referring to fig. 3, the screen brightness adjusting apparatus 300 may include a determining module 301 and an updating module 302. The determination module 301 may determine whether an application currently running in the electronic device is included in the screen brightness adjustment application list. If it is determined that the currently running application is included in the screen brightness adjustment application list, the determination module 301 performs screen brightness adjustment using an intelligent brightness control method according to the picture content of the currently running application.
The update module 302 may create and initialize a list of screen brightness adjustment applications. The update module 302 may classify applications in the electronic device into a first type of applications suitable for screen brightness adjustment and a second type of applications unsuitable for screen brightness adjustment and store the first type of applications in a screen brightness adjustment application list and assign default usage data related values to the first type of applications, respectively, and store the second type of applications in an exclude application list.
The first type of applications may include chat-type applications, news-type applications, browser-type applications, shopping-type applications, reading-type applications, and other applications suitable for screen brightness adjustment, and the second type of applications may include system-type applications, navigation-type applications, game-type applications, and other applications unsuitable for screen brightness adjustment.
The usage data may be screen consumption data of the application, and the usage data related value may be a screen consumption percentage of the application.
Alternatively, in initializing the screen brightness adjustment application list, the screen brightness adjustment application list may be divided into different sub-lists according to user habits, for example, the screen brightness adjustment application list may be divided into a work day list and a rest day list.
The update module 302 may obtain usage data for each application in the electronic device over a predetermined period of time.
The update module 302 may update the screen brightness adjustment application list according to the acquired usage data. The updating module 302 may attenuate the usage data related value of each application included in the screen brightness adjustment application list by a specific value at predetermined time intervals, and delete a specific application from the screen brightness adjustment application list if the usage data related value of a specific application in each application is attenuated to be equal to or less than zero.
The updating module 302 may compare a first application in which a usage data related value exceeds a predetermined threshold value among applications of the electronic device with applications included in the screen brightness adjustment application list, and update the screen brightness adjustment application list according to the comparison result.
Optionally, the updating module 302 may sort applications in the electronic device according to the usage data related value, compare a first application, which is first sorted in each application, with applications included in the screen brightness adjustment application list, and update the screen brightness adjustment application list according to the comparison result.
The update module 302 adds the first application to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications if the first application is not in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications and does not belong to a second class of applications that are not suitable for screen brightness adjustment. If the first application is not in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications and belongs to the second class of applications, the update module 302 does not add the first application to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications. If the first application is in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications, the update module 302 may accumulate the usage data related value of the first application to the usage data related value of the same application in the list of screen brightness adjustment applications.
Alternatively, when the application list is time-divided into different sub-lists at the initialization screen brightness adjustment, the updating may be performed according to the divided sub-lists, respectively. For example, whether the electronic device is a workday or a rest day is determined according to a date corresponding to screen power consumption data of an application of the electronic device, and then the screen power consumption data in the workday list and the rest day list are updated periodically.
When a new application is installed in the electronic device, the determination module 301 may determine whether the new application belongs to a first type of application suitable for screen brightness adjustment. If the new application belongs to the first class of applications, the update module 302 obtains usage data for the new application. The update module 302 adds the new application to the list of screen brightness adjustment applications if the usage data related value of the new application exceeds a predetermined threshold or the new application is ordered within the first several positions (e.g., first five) in the electronic device according to the usage data related value and the new application.
