Specifically, each of the first pixels 101 includes a first sub-electrode 1011 disposed near the irregular boundary 100b, each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 has a first boundary 100c near the irregular boundary 100b, and the shape of the first boundaries 100c corresponds to the shape of the irregular boundary 100b, so as to reduce a blank area of the display panel at the irregular boundary 100b, avoid a saw tooth phenomenon or a light leakage problem of the display panel at the irregular boundary 100b, improve the display quality of the display panel at the irregular boundary, and improve the product yield.
Further, the plurality of first boundaries 100c are equidistant from the irregular boundary 100b, so that the plurality of first sub-electrodes 1011 are equidistant from the irregular boundary 100b, thereby reducing the blank area of the display panel at the irregular boundary 100b and ensuring that the display panel has a smoother display effect at the irregular boundary 100 b. Referring to fig. 2A to 2L, each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 includes a main electrode 111 and a plurality of branch electrodes 112 connected to the main electrode 111, the plurality of branch electrodes 112 extend from the main electrode 111 to the irregular boundary 100b, and a connection line of end points of the plurality of branch electrodes 112 extends to form the first boundary 100 c.
Specifically, referring to fig. 2A and 2H, the main electrode 111 includes a first edge 111b close to the irregular boundary 100b and a second edge 111a far from the irregular boundary 100b, the plurality of branch electrodes 112 extend from the second edge 111a to the irregular boundary 100b and are connected to the first edge 111b, and the first edge 111b forms the first boundary 100 c.
As shown in fig. 2A to 2B and 2H, the first sub-electrode 1011 has a single domain structure, and in practical applications, in order to increase the display viewing angle of the display panel and improve the color shift problem, the first sub-electrode 1011 may also have a multi-domain design.
Specifically, please refer to fig. 2C to 2G and fig. 2I to 2L, each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 includes a first domain 1011a near the irregular boundary 100b and a second domain 1011b adjacent to the first domain 1011a, the plurality of branch electrodes 112a located in the first domain 1011a extend from the main electrode 111 to the irregular boundary 100b, and a connection line of end points of the plurality of branch electrodes 112a located in the first domain 1011a forms the first boundary 100C.
Further, the branch electrodes 112b located in the second domain 1011b extend from the main electrode 111 to the irregular boundary 100b, and a connection line between the end points of the branch electrodes 112a located in the first domain 1011a and the end points of the branch electrodes 112b located in the second domain 1011b forms the first boundary 100c, as shown in fig. 2D to 2G and fig. 2J to 2L.
Further, each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 further includes a third domain 1011c disposed adjacent to the second domain 1011b and a fourth domain 1011d disposed adjacent to the third domain 1011c and the first domain 1011a, and the third domain 1011c and the fourth domain 1011d are disposed in a rectangular shape.
In order to make the electric fields of a plurality of pixels more uniform and avoid the first sub-electrodes 1011 to generate electric charge concentration at the first boundary 100c, at least one of the first sub-electrodes 1011 is provided with an opening at a side close to the irregular boundary 100B, as shown in fig. 2B, 2E, 2G and 2L.
The first electrode 1011 shown in fig. 2A to 2G may be used for the shaped boundary 100B shown in fig. 1B to 1D, that is, the shaped boundary 100B is an arc-shaped boundary, the shaped boundary 100B is located outside the display area 100a, a plurality of first boundaries 100c have shapes corresponding to the shape of the shaped boundary 100B, and the first boundaries 100c are arcs or semi-circles protruding toward the shaped boundary 100B.
Similarly, if the irregular boundary 100b is an arc-shaped boundary and the irregular boundary 100b is located in the display area 100a, please refer to fig. 1E to 1F, the shape of the first boundaries 100c corresponds to the shape of the irregular boundary 100b, and the first boundaries 100c are concave arcs or semi-circles, as shown in fig. 2H to 2L.
With reference to fig. 1B to fig. 1F, each of the first pixels 101 further includes a plurality of second sub-electrodes 1012 disposed adjacent to the first sub-electrodes 1011.
Further, to ensure the uniformity of the brightness of the first pixel 101, the area of each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 is equal to the area of each of the second sub-electrodes 1012.
The area of each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 and the area of each of the second sub-electrodes 1012 can be calculated according to design requirements, for example, the areas of the first sub-electrodes 1011 and the second sub-electrodes 1012 can be correspondingly adjusted by adjusting the heights or widths of the first sub-electrodes 1011 and the second sub-electrodes 1012, so that the area of each of the first sub-electrodes 1011 is equal to the area of each of the second sub-electrodes 1012, which is not described herein again. The shape of the second sub-electrode 1012 is not limited to a rectangle, and those skilled in the art can set the second sub-electrode 1012 to be a diamond shape, a polygon shape, or other shapes according to actual requirements, which is not described herein again. Similarly, the arrangement form between the first sub-electrode 1011 and the second sub-electrode 1012 is not limited to the arrangement form shown in fig. 1B to 1F, and those skilled in the art can also perform the arrangement according to actual requirements, and the description thereof is omitted here.
With reference to fig. 1B to fig. 1F, the plurality of pixels 100 further includes a plurality of second pixels 102 disposed away from the irregular boundary 100B, and an area of each of the first pixels 101 is equal to an area of each of the second pixels 102, so that the display luminance of the first pixels 101 is equal to the display luminance of the second pixels 102, thereby ensuring the uniformity of the luminance of the display panel.
Further, the second pixel 102 includes a plurality of third sub-electrodes 1013, an area of each of the third sub-electrodes 1013 is equal to an area of each of the second sub-electrodes 1012; furthermore, the area of each of the third sub-electrodes 1013 is equal to the area of each of the second sub-electrodes 1012 to ensure that the display brightness of the first pixel 101 is the same as that of the second pixel 102.

the second substrate is arranged opposite to the first substrate, and a fourth sub-electrode is arranged on one side, close to the first substrate, of the second substrate;

3. The display panel of claim 2, wherein the shaped border is an arc-shaped border and the first border is one of an arc or a semi-circle.
