本申请实施例公开了一种监测方法及设备,涉及通信领域,能降低终端设备在与网络设备在通信过程中进行PDCCH监测带来的功耗。包括:终端设备获取第一搜索空间配置、第二搜索空间配置;第一搜索空间配置包括第一搜索空间集合,第二搜索空间配置包括第二搜索空间集合;或者,第一搜索空间配置包括第一搜索空间参数,第二搜索空间配置包括第二搜索空间参数;若满足第一条件,终端设备则根据第一搜索空间配置监测物理下行控制信道PDCCH;第一条件包括:第一定时器未处于运行状态;若满足第二条件,终端设备则根据第二搜索空间配置监测PDCCH;第二条件包括:第一定时器处于运行状态。
