Detailed Description
To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it is apparent that the described embodiments are some, but not all embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The terms "comprising" and "having," and any variations thereof, as referred to in embodiments of the present invention, are intended to cover non-exclusive inclusions. For example, a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not limited to only those steps or elements but may alternatively include other steps or elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
The invention provides an automatic configuration method for multi-IO expansion of a server, which comprises the following steps with reference to FIG. 1:
101. acquiring bandwidth distribution demand data of IO to be configured;
102. acquiring slot position distribution data of an exchange chip supporting a PCIe protocol in a server;
103. obtaining configuration data of the IO to be configured according to the bandwidth distribution demand data of the IO to be configured and the slot allocation data of the exchange chip supporting a PCIe protocol in the server;
104. loading configuration firmware based on the configuration data of the IO to be configured;
105. and verifying the configuration firmware.
Illustratively, the complex programmable logic device CPLD needs to read the CEC check code of the chip loading firmware to confirm that the loading configuration is correct, thereby avoiding the problem that the PCIE device cannot be identified or the PCIE bandwidth is reduced for use due to a configuration error.
The invention provides an automatic configuration method for multi-IO expansion of a server, which comprises the steps of acquiring bandwidth distribution demand data of IO to be configured; acquiring slot position distribution data of an exchange chip supporting a PCIe protocol in a server; obtaining configuration data of the IO to be configured according to the bandwidth distribution demand data of the IO to be configured and the slot allocation data of the exchange chip supporting a PCIe protocol in the server; loading configuration firmware based on the configuration data of the IO to be configured; and verifying the configuration firmware. The initialization of the PCIE equipment is realized, the automatic configuration of multi-IO expansion of the server is further realized, the bandwidth of the exchange chip supporting the PCIe protocol can be effectively utilized, the resources of the exchange chip supporting the PCIe protocol are fully utilized, the development period of the server is shortened, the development manpower is released, the diversity of the developed products is increased, and the practical and complex application scene can be more met.
In a possible implementation manner, the step of obtaining bandwidth distribution requirement data of the IO to be configured includes:
detecting connection data of the high-speed signal connector through a complex programmable logic device;
determining the bandwidth distribution demand data of the IO to be configured according to the connection data of the high-speed signal connector; the method specifically comprises the following steps:
acquiring basic data of a card slot supporting a PCIe protocol;
and acquiring the connection data of the high-speed signal connector according to the basic data of the card slot supporting the PCIe protocol.
Illustratively, as shown in fig. 2, PCIe signals of a PCIe Switch supporting a PCIe protocol are connected to corresponding card slots supporting the PCIe protocol through a high-speed signal connector Slot, if the PCIe Slot is connected to a card of X8, only 1 Slot of PCIe X8 is needed to be connected between the PCIe Switch and the Slot, and if the PCIe Slot is connected to a card of X16, 2 slots of PCIe X8 are needed to be connected between the PCIe Switch and the Slot. So there is a correspondence between the Present bit status of PCIe slot and the number of slimlines. And confirming the bandwidth required by the Slot position through the Present bit situation and the slim connection situation (for example, a single slim corresponds to a PCIE bandwidth of X8, when 2 slim cards are used, an X16 Present bit is on the PCIE card, and the bandwidth allocated to the PCIE Slot by the corresponding PCIE switch needs to be set to X16).
In a possible implementation manner, the step of obtaining the configuration data of the IO to be configured according to the bandwidth distribution demand data of the IO to be configured and the slot allocation data of the switch chip supporting a PCIe protocol in the server includes:
setting all slot positions of an exchange chip supporting PCIe protocol in the server to obtain the identity information of all slot positions;
obtaining the bandwidth data of the slot position of the IO to be configured and the slot position of the IO to be configured according to the bandwidth distribution demand data of the IO to be configured and the slot position distribution data of the exchange chip supporting a PCIe protocol in the server;
obtaining the identity information of the slot position of the IO to be configured based on the slot position of the IO to be configured and the identity information of all the slot positions of the exchange chip supporting the PCIe protocol in the server;
and obtaining the configuration data of the IO to be configured according to the identity information of the slot position of the IO to be configured and the bandwidth data of the slot position of the IO to be configured.
For example, as shown in fig. 3, the GPIO signals are transmitted back to the CPLD through the input/output GPIO signals, and after the CPLD detects GPIO states of all slots, different identity information IDs are set, as shown in table 1, the number of GPIO interfaces of the PCIE Switch can be effectively reduced through the ID setting. After obtaining the different IDs, PCIe confirms that the offset for reading the firmware needs to be set. Therefore, automatic identification of PCIe Slot bandwidth is realized.
