A self-propelled anaerobic dry fermentation device for treating planting waste comprises a closed elliptical track, wherein the track is sealed by a box body; the box body is provided with a feed inlet and a discharge outlet, and the interior of the box body is divided into two mutually independent areas, namely an anaerobic dry fermentation area and an aerobic fermentation area, by two partition plates; a plurality of fermentation reaction boxes with rotating wheels at the bottoms are respectively arranged on tracks in an anaerobic dry fermentation area and an aerobic fermentation area, the fermentation reaction boxes are connected into a whole through a connecting belt, one end of a spraying pipeline is communicated with a biogas liquid pool, and the other end of the spraying pipeline is hermetically communicated with a box body and is arranged above the fermentation reaction boxes; the rotating wheel at the bottom of the fermentation reaction box is driven by a motor; the partition plate is hermetically mounted on the chain belt and moves along with the movement of the chain belt. An operation method of a self-propelled anaerobic dry fermentation device for treating planting waste comprises a controller, wherein after agricultural waste is sequentially put into a fermentation reaction box, a feed inlet and a discharge outlet are closed, a peristaltic pump is started, biogas slurry in a biogas slurry pool is sprayed to an anaerobic dry fermentation area through a spraying pipeline, and the material is subjected to anaerobic dry fermentation in the anaerobic dry fermentation area; when the anaerobic dry fermentation period reaches 24 days, the motor is started to drive the fermentation reaction boxes to move along the track, so that the rest fermentation reaction boxes and the partition plates are driven to move on the track in sequence by the link belt, and the aerobic fermentation stage is started when the anaerobic dry fermentation period moves to the aerobic fermentation area; when aerobic fermentation reaches 18 days; and starting the motor again, enabling the fermentation reaction box to move forwards to the material inlet and outlet through the rail to discharge materials, and controlling the peristaltic pump and the motor by the controller.
