Description

Glue-free pet canned food and preparation method thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of pet food preparation, in particular to a glue-free pet canned food and a preparation method thereof.
Background
The pet can is different from pet food in the conventional sense and is an important staple food source for pet dogs and cats. The tin can product meets the nutritional requirements of pet cats and simultaneously needs to maintain the color, tenderness and morphological integrity of the pet cans. Different from pet snack cans, the cans are daily rations which can meet the complete and balanced nutrition of pet dogs and cats and replace puffed staple food. Generally, the animal source is a gelatinous solid with a water content of 75-80%, wherein the animal source can be more than 90%. The problems of unstable form, easy breakage and the like are caused by the phenomenon of water overflow in the processing process of high temperature and high pressure of fresh meat. Therefore, the gel which can keep uniform and stable shape after the canned product is filled is processed at high temperature and high pressure, which is one of the problems to be solved by the industry.
At present, edible glue is added as an additive to keep uniform and stable colloid when the pet can is opened and eaten in the industry. Such edible gums include xanthan gum, carrageenan, guar gum, locust bean gum, agar, gelatin, and the like. The edible gum is capable of maintaining the integrity of the canned food and the form stability during transportation and storage.
However, a number of literature studies have shown that certain gums can cause inflammatory reactions in the pet's gut, causing stress in pets, dogs and cats. In addition, the edible gum can absorb the nutrient substances in the intestines of dogs and cats, reduce the digestibility of the nutrient substances and improve the excretion amount. The stomach and intestine burden of the pet dogs and cats is increased, and the problems of malnutrition and dyspepsia can be caused to the pet dogs and cats.
With the gradual importance of consumers on the health of dogs and cats, the dog and cat staple food can added with the edible gum is covered by a low-end label.
Therefore, there is a need to find a gel-type canned food which can maintain a stable form without adding the above-mentioned edible gum.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the problems of the prior art, the invention provides the glue-free pet canned food and the preparation method thereof, and the glue-free pet canned food prepared by the method can effectively keep the form integrity and the transportation stability of the pet food in the can on the premise of not adding edible glue, thereby effectively avoiding the health hidden trouble of pets caused by edible glue in the pet food.

Verification of nutritional efficacy
And (4) carrying out the nutrition and health verification on the glue-free pet canned food for the pet cats. Adult, healthy Linqing lion cats were selected with 20 body condition scores BCS > 3. And (5) respectively half male and half female, and feeding in a single basin. 50g of formula staple food grain can and 50g of commercial puffed staple food grain are given each day. And a test period of 30d, wherein the ingestion state, the excrement score and the mental state of the pet are carefully observed in the test period. After 30 days, all the cats were subjected to clinical observation and blood was collected for routine blood analysis and physiological and biochemical serum analysis, and the results are shown in tables 4 and 5 below.
TABLE 4 test Cat serum indices

TABLE 5 Liqing lion cat blood physiological and biochemical indexes
Figure BDA0002786195760000112
Figure BDA0002786195760000121
Experimental studies show that diseases, diarrhea and other sub-health conditions do not occur in the whole breeding period when the glue-free canned pet food 30d in the embodiment is fed. All serological indexes of the Linqing lion cats (test cats) are within a normal range. Therefore, the gel-free canned pet food with stable form is prepared by optimizing the component proportion and the preparation process on the premise of avoiding adding the edible gum, the safety of the pet food can be effectively improved, and the health hidden trouble of the edible gum on the pet can be avoided.
And (3) verifying the palatability of the pet cat:
and (4) carrying out pet cat palatability verification on the glue-free pet canned food. Adult, healthy, domestic pet cats were selected for palatability studies with body condition scores BCS > 3. Half of each male and half of the female, 10 domestic cats without digestive system diseases were tested by the double basin method. The gel-free pet canned food (a) in this example and the gel-containing staple food cat canned food (B) in the market were given 70g at 8 am, respectively, and the number of first bite visits of each cat was recorded. After 1 hour the palatability test was finished and A, B residual diets of the two products were weighed out separately. And calculating the feed intake rate. The feed intake rate is (50 g-residual material amount g)/50g, and the test lasts for 4 days. The data obtained were analyzed for SPSS variance with P <0.05 as an indicator of significant difference.
TABLE 6 palatability test results
Figure BDA0002786195760000122
Figure BDA0002786195760000131
As can be seen from the above table, the average feed intake rate of the canned glue-free pet food (a) was found to be significantly higher than the main grain canned food for competitive products (P <0.05) in the palatability study for four days. The average feed intake rate of the first visit number non-gelled pet canned food (a) is significantly higher than the competitive staple food canned food. Therefore, the non-glue canned pet food prepared by the embodiment has better palatability.
All the above optional technical solutions may be combined arbitrarily to form optional embodiments of the present invention, that is, any multiple embodiments may be combined to meet the requirements of different scenarios, which are within the protection scope of the present application and are not described herein again.
