Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, so that the above is the core idea of the present invention, and the above objects, features and advantages of the present invention can be more clearly understood. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a stretchable display panel, as shown in fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic top view structure diagram of the stretchable display panel provided in an embodiment of the present invention, and the stretchable display panel includes a display area K1 and a non-display area K2.
It should be noted that, in some embodiments of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the non-display area K2 is located at the periphery of the display area K1, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiments, the non-display area K2 may be located only at the upper and lower sides of the display area K1, and the like. In the embodiment of the present invention, the non-display area K2 is located around the display area K1, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
In the embodiment of the invention, the display region K1 includes the first island-shaped structures 11, and the non-display region K2 includes the second island-shaped structures 12, and adjacent island-shaped structures are connected by the stretchable bridge 13. That is, the substrate of the stretchable display panel is divided into independent island-shaped structures, the island-shaped structure of the display region K1 is the first island-shaped structure 11, the island-shaped structure of the non-display region K2 is the second island-shaped structure 12, and two adjacent first island-shaped structures 11 are connected by the stretchable bridge 13, two adjacent second island-shaped structures 12 are connected by the stretchable bridge 13, and the adjacent first island-shaped structures 11 and the second island-shaped structures 12 are connected by the stretchable bridge 13.
At least one sub-pixel is disposed on the first island-shaped structure 11, and a trace and/or circuit structure is disposed on the second island-shaped structure 12. Fig. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a first island-shaped structure 11 according to an embodiment of the invention, and fig. 2 illustrates an example in which two sub-pixels are disposed on the first island-shaped structure 11, but is not limited thereto. The sub-pixel includes a pixel driving circuit, a pixel electrode 20, a light emitting element 21, a common electrode 22, and an encapsulation layer 23. The pixel driving circuit includes a thin film transistor T on the substrate 1 of the first island structure 11, a drain electrode T1 of the thin film transistor T being connected to the pixel electrode 20, the pixel electrode 20 being electrically connected to one side of the light emitting element 21, and the other side of the light emitting element 21 opposite to the common electrode 22. After the gate line G transmits a scanning signal to the driving circuit through the gate T2 of the thin film transistor T and the data line D transmits a data signal to the driving circuit through the source T3 of the thin film transistor T, the pixel driving circuit supplies a current to the light emitting element 21 through the turned-on thin film transistor T and the pixel electrode 20, so that the light emitting element 21 emits light to display a screen. The light emitting element 21 includes a light emitting diode, an organic light emitting diode, and the like. Signal lines connected to a pixel driving circuit and the like, such as gate lines G and data lines D, are disposed on the stretchable bridge 13, the signal lines extending along the stretchable bridge 13 and not connected to each other.
It is understood that the first island-shaped structures 11 may be provided with not only the sub-pixels but also other structures such as touch electrodes and the like located in the display area K1. In addition, disposed on the second island structure 12 are traces and circuit structures and the like located in the non-display area K2, such as a gate driving circuit, traces between the gate driving circuit and sub-pixels, a driving chip and the like.
In the embodiment of the present invention, both the display region K1 and the non-display region K2 have an island-like structure, i.e., both the display region K1 and the non-display region K2 are stretchable. It can be understood that if the display area K1 is stretchable and the non-display area K2 is non-stretchable, when the display area K1 is stretched, the tensile stress of the display area K1 will affect the non-display area K2, which easily causes the non-display area K2 to be broken, and the stretching reliability of the display panel is low. In the embodiment of the invention, the display area K1 and the non-display area K2 are stretchable, that is, the non-display area K2 is stretched along with the stretching of the display area K1, so that the influence of the stretching stress of the display area K1 on the non-display area K2 is relieved, and the stretching reliability of the display panel is improved.
In addition, in the embodiment of the invention, at least in the non-stretching state, the number of the second island structures 12 in the unit area of the non-display area K2 is equal to or less than the number of the first island structures 11 in the unit area of the display area K1, or the distribution density of the second island structures 12 in the unit area of the non-display area K2 is equal to or less than the distribution density of the first island structures 11 in the unit area of the display area K1, so that the number and the area of the second island structures 12 can be reasonably set according to the circuit structure of the non-display area K2, the influence of the stretching stress on the structures such as the circuit of the non-display area K2 can be effectively relieved, and the stretching reliability of the non-display area K2 and the display panel can be further improved.
Optionally, the ratio of the number of the second island structures 12 in the unit area of the non-display area K2 to the number of the first island structures 11 in the unit area of the display area K1 is in a range of 1:1 to 1:100, so that the stretching reliability of the non-display area K2 is improved, and at the same time, the difference in stretchability between the display area K1 and the non-display area K2 is prevented from being large, and the stretching effect and the stretching reliability of the whole display panel are prevented from being affected.
In some embodiments of the present invention, the number of the second island structures 12 in the unit area in the non-display region K2 may be equal to or less than the number of the first island structures 11 in the unit area in the display region K1 by making the area of the second island structures 12 equal to or greater than the area of the first island structures 11. Of course, the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiments, the number of the second island structures 12 in the non-display region K2 per unit area may be equal to or less than the number of the first island structures 11 in the display region K1 per unit area by making the area of the second island structures 12 larger than the area of the first island structures 11, and making the length of the stretchable bridges 13 in the non-display region K2 smaller than the length of the stretchable bridges 13 in the display region K1.
In some embodiments of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the number of the second island structures 12 in a unit area of the non-display region K2 is equal to the number of the first island structures 11 in a unit area of the display region K1, the area of the second island structures 12 is equal to the area of the first island structures 11, and the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the non-display region K2 is equal to the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the display region K1, so that the island structures are distributed more uniformly on the whole display panel, and the stretching uniformity of the display panel is improved.
Of course, the present invention is not limited thereto, in other embodiments, as shown in fig. 3, fig. 3 is a schematic top view of a stretchable display panel according to another embodiment of the present invention, where the number of the second island structures 12 in a unit area of the non-display region K2 is equal to the number of the first island structures 11 in a unit area of the display region K1, but the area of the second island structures 12 is larger than the area of the first island structures 11, and the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the non-display region K2 is smaller than the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the display region K1, so as to relatively reduce the stretchability of the non-display region K2, improve the stability of the circuit structure of the non-display region K2 during stretching, and improve the stretching reliability of the non-display region K2 and the display panel while ensuring the stretching uniformity of the display panel.
In other embodiments, as shown in fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic top view structure diagram of a stretchable display panel according to another embodiment of the present invention, the number of the second island structures 12 in a unit area in the non-display region K2 is smaller than the number of the first island structures 11 in a unit area in the display region K1, the area of the second island structures 12 in a unit area in the non-display region K2 is larger than the area of the first island structures 11 in a unit area in the display region K1, the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the non-display region K2 is smaller than or equal to the length of the bridge 13 in the display region K1, so as to relatively reduce the stretchability of the non-display region K2, improve the stability of the circuit structure of the non-display region K2 during stretching, and improve the stretching reliability of the non-display region K2 and the display panel.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present invention, the areas of the different second island structures 12 may be equal or may not be equal. The number of the second island structures per unit area in different regions of the non-display region K2 may be equal or different.

As shown in fig. 5, the area of the second island structures 12 of the first sub-region K21 is smaller than the area of the second island structures 12 of the second sub-region K22, so as to reduce the stretchability of the second sub-region K22 and improve the structural stability of the second sub-region K22.
Of course, in other embodiments of the present invention, the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the first sub-region may be longer than the length of the stretchable bridge 13 in the nth sub-region, so that the number of the second island structures 12 in the unit area in the first sub-region is larger than the number of the second island structures 12 in the unit area in the nth sub-region. As shown in fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic top view structure view of a stretchable display panel according to another embodiment of the present invention, in which the length of the stretchable bridge 13 of the first sub-region K21 is greater than the length of the stretchable bridge 13 of the second sub-region K22, so as to reduce the stretchability of the second sub-region K22 and improve the structural stability of the second sub-region K22.
