Specifically, each element in the message list corresponds to one piece of target message, any one of single click, double click, long press and the like is sent to the target message in the message list, a comment display instruction is sent to the target message in the message list, the terminal 110 responds to the comment display instruction of the target message in the message list, and comment messages having an association relationship with the target message in the message list are displayed in a pop-up window. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 6c, a comment message having an association relationship with the target switching message is presented in a popup window.
In the message display method, the message list is displayed in the popup window, and the comment message which is associated with the target message is displayed in the popup window in response to the comment display instruction of the target message in the message list, so that the convenient switching between different target messages in the message list is realized, and the comment message associated with different target messages can be displayed quickly.
In an exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, after step S320, the message presentation method further includes: in step S710, in response to the comment hiding instruction of the target message, the comment message having an association relationship with the target message is hidden in the instant messaging session interface.
The comment hiding instruction is an operation instruction for hiding the comment message which has an association relation with the target message, and can be click operation or sliding operation in an instant messaging session interface for displaying the comment message. Specifically, a comment display control of the target message is displayed in the instant messaging session interface. When the comment message needs to be displayed, the comment display control responds to the comment display instruction of the target message, and the comment message which is associated with the target message is displayed in the instant messaging session interface. When the comment message needs to be hidden, a preset comment hiding instruction is triggered in an instant messaging session interface for displaying the comment message, the comment message which is associated with the target message is hidden in response to the comment hiding instruction of the target message, and the comment message is not displayed in the instant messaging session interface any more.
According to the message display method, the comment message which is associated with the target message is hidden in the instant messaging session interface by responding to the comment hiding instruction of the target message, and quick and convenient switching between the comment message display interface and the instant messaging session interface is achieved.
In an exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 8, in step S230, displaying the comment identifier of the target message in the instant messaging session interface may specifically be implemented by the following steps:
