The excluded CM information is information of the addressable advertisement itself such as a keyword indicating the content of the addressable advertisement, such as a sponsor name, genre, and product name of the excluded CM, or demographic attribute information of the viewer to be targeted, such as age, sex, region, and address of the addressable advertisement.
The broadcast signal device 140 receives the CM attribute information, the excluded program attribute information, and the excluded CM attribute information as the attribute information of the addressable advertisement. The addressable advertisement attribute information is distributed from the CM distribution server 120 and stored in a storage area (not shown) of the control unit 342 of the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140.
The CM attribute information is information of addressable advertisements. The information on the addressable advertisement is, for example, information on the addressable advertisement itself such as a keyword indicating the content of the addressable advertisement, such as the name, category, and product name of the sponsor of the addressable advertisement, or demographic attribute information on the viewer who is the target of the addressable advertisement, such as age, sex, region, and address.
The excluded-program attribute information is information of a program that is not desired to be replaced with an addressable advertisement when a CM inserted halfway into the program is replaced with the addressable advertisement. The information of the program which is not desired to be replaced with the addressable advertisement is, for example, demographic attribute information of the viewer who is the target of the program, such as age, sex, living area, and address, or information of the program itself which is broadcast or distributed, such as a keyword, genre, and broadcast area indicating the content of the program.
The excluded CM attribute information is information of an addressable advertisement that is desired to be excluded as a replacement candidate when a CM inserted in the middle of a program is replaced by an addressable advertisement. The information of the addressable advertisement to be excluded is information of the addressable advertisement itself such as a keyword indicating the content of the addressable advertisement, such as a name, a genre, and a product name of a sponsor of the addressable advertisement to be excluded, or demographic attribute information of a viewer to be targeted, such as age, sex, region, and address of the addressable advertisement to be excluded.
In accordance with the instruction of the excluded CM determination unit 404, the broadcast program attribute acquisition unit 401 acquires program attribute information from a storage area (not shown) and transmits the program attribute information to the excluded CM determination unit 404. Then, the addressable advertisement attribute information is acquired from a storage area (not shown) by the user preference CM acquisition unit 403 in accordance with the instruction of the excluded CM judgment unit 404, and is transmitted to the excluded CM judgment unit 404.
The excluded CM determination unit 404 determines, using the program information, the built-in CM information, the excluded CM information, and the CM attribute information, the excluded program attribute information, and the excluded CM attribute information included in the attribute information of the acquired program, as follows: whether or not the addressable advertisement having the attribute acquired by the user-preference CM acquisition section 403 is suitable for replacement display in place of the CM included in the broadcast program having the attribute acquired by the broadcast program attribute acquisition section 401.
When the judgment result indicates that replacement display of the CM included in the broadcast program is appropriate, the exclusionary CM judgment unit 404 acquires the addressable advertisement to be judged from the recording medium 160, and displays the addressable advertisement on the display unit 350 in place of the CM included in the program to be judged.
When the judgment result indicates that replacement display of the CM included in the broadcast program is not appropriate, the excluded CM judgment unit 404 does not replace the addressable advertisement to be judged with the CM included in the program to be judged. In this case, the CM included in the program to be determined is displayed on the display unit 350 as it is.
Fig. 4C is a diagram showing an example of the processing flow of the excluded CM determination device 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention.
The excluded CM determination means 330 may perform the excluded CM determination process at an arbitrary timing, but is desirably performed before the program to be determined is broadcast.
When the excluded CM determination process is started (S450), the excluded CM determination section 404 acquires the program attribute information via the broadcast program attribute acquisition section 401, and acquires the attribute information of 1 addressable advertisement described in the user-preferred CM list via the user-preferred CM acquisition section 403 (S451).
The excluded CM determination unit 404 performs an exclusion determination using the program information, the built-in CM information, the excluded CM information, the CM attribute information, the excluded program attribute information, and the excluded CM attribute information included in the acquired addressable advertisement attribute information.
First, it is determined whether or not excluded program attribute information is included in the program information (S452).
If the determination result is "include" (yes at S452), the exclusionary CM determination unit 404 excludes the addressable advertisement to be determined from the candidates for replacement (S453), and the process ends (S470).
If not included as a result of the determination (no in S452), the excluded CM determination unit 404 determines whether or not the excluded CM attribute information is included in the built-in CM information.
If the determination result is "include" (yes at S454), the exclusionary CM determination unit 404 excludes the addressable advertisement to be determined from the candidates for replacement (S453), and the process ends (S470).
If not included as a result of the determination (no in S454), the excluded CM determination unit 404 determines whether or not the excluded CM information is included in the CM attribute information.
If the determination result is "include" (yes in S455), the exclusionary CM determination unit 404 excludes the addressable advertisement to be determined from the candidates for replacement (S453), and the process ends (S470).
If the determination result is that the determination result is not included (no in S454), the exclusionary CM determination unit 404 ends the process as it is (S470).
When the determination of the addressable advertisement to be determined is completed, the excluded CM determination unit 404 acquires the attribute information of the next addressable advertisement described in the user-preferred CM list via the user-preferred CM acquisition unit 403, and performs the processing of S451 to S470. Thereafter, the exclusionary CM determination unit 404 performs determination processing on all addressable advertisements described in the user favorite CM list.
Thus, the exclusionary CM determination device 330 can make a determination as to whether an addressable advertisement to be determined is to be a candidate for replacement or excluded from the candidates for replacement.
The example of the process in fig. 4C is an example in which the program attribute information and the addressable advertisement attribute information are determined by any of the determination processes in S452, S454, and S455, but a plurality of pieces of information may be used in the determination.
For example, the exclusionary degree Ei (i is 1 to n, n is the number of all attribute information) is set for each of the program information of the program attribute information, the built-in CM information, the exclusionary CM information, and the CM attribute information of the addressable advertisement attribute information, the exclusionary program attribute information, and the exclusionary CM attribute information, and the addressable advertisement to be judged may be excluded from the candidates for replacement when a judgment value calculated using the set exclusionary degree and the predetermined inclusion degree exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
Fig. 5 is a diagram showing an example of a process flow of the excluded CM determination device 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention when the exclusion degree and the content degree are used.
The excluded CM determination unit 404 performs a determination process of determining whether or not the corresponding addressable advertisement is excluded from the candidates for replacement (S503) using the attribute information of the program acquired from the broadcast program attribute acquisition unit 401 (S501) and the attribute information of the addressable advertisement acquired from the user-preference CM acquisition unit 403 (S502).
The judgment process compares the average of the degrees of exclusions Ei multiplied by the content M calculated for each of the program information of the program attribute information, the built-in CM information, the excluded CM information, and the CM attribute information of the addressable advertisement attribute information, the excluded program attribute information, and the excluded CM attribute information with a threshold value (S504).
If the result of the comparison is smaller than the threshold value (yes in S503), the addressable advertisement to be determined is excluded from the candidates for replacement (S504), and the process ends (S520).
If the comparison result is equal to or greater than the threshold value (no in S503), it is determined that the addressable advertisement to be targeted is directly finished (S520).
As described above, the excluded CM determination apparatus 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention can determine whether or not the corresponding addressable advertisement is excluded from the replacement candidates, using the program attribute information of the broadcast program and the addressable advertisement attribute information as a candidate for replacing the inserted CM of the broadcast program.
Thus, the excluded CM determination means 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention can select and display an addressable advertisement that is suitable not only for the preference of the user but also for the content of the advertisement or the program including the advertisement that is replaced with the addressable advertisement. Therefore, the broadcast signal receiving apparatus including the excluded CM determination apparatus 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention can display an addressable advertisement more suitable for the user than ever.
Although the following describes examples of the excluded CM determination device 330 and the addressable advertising system including the excluded CM determination device 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention, the present invention is not limited to the above examples.
In the configuration example of the addressable advertising system shown in fig. 1, the case where the broadcast station (broadcast signal transmitting apparatus) 100 transmits the broadcast wave multiplexed in the MMT · TLV system and the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 receives the broadcast wave multiplexed in the MMT · TLV system has been described as an example, but the broadcast wave may be a broadcast wave multiplexed in the MPEG-2 system. Alternatively, in the configuration example of the addressable advertising system shown in fig. 1, the broadcast station (broadcast signal transmitting apparatus) 100 may distribute the program content to the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 via the network 130.
The excluded CM determination device 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention may process a program recorded in the broadcast signal receiving device 140.
In the configuration example of the addressable advertising system shown in fig. 1, only 1 broadcast signal receiving device 140 is included, but a plurality of them may be included. In this case, the management server 121 can identify and manage a plurality of broadcast signal receiving apparatuses 140 by using the device IDs of the broadcast signal receiving apparatuses 140.
Although the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 has been described as including the excluded CM determination device 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention, the present invention may be implemented in another device that can communicate with the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 and can identify each broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 by its device ID. The other device may be, for example, the management server 121.
When the excluded CM determination device 330 is in another device, the user-preference CM acquisition section 403 of the excluded CM determination device 330 in another device may acquire addressable advertisement attribute information via the network 130. The excluded CM determination unit 404 may transmit the determination result to the broadcast signal reception device 140 via the network 130.
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described, these embodiments are presented as examples and do not limit the scope of the invention. These new embodiments can be implemented in other various ways, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. These embodiments and modifications thereof are included in the scope and gist of the invention, and are included in the invention described in the claims and the equivalent scope thereof. In addition, in the respective components of the claims, a case where the components are expressed in a divided manner, a case where a plurality of components are expressed in a lump, or a case where these components are expressed in a combination is also a scope of the present invention. The apparatus of the present invention is also applicable to a case where the claims are expressed as control logic, a case where the claims are expressed as a program including instructions to be executed by a computer, and a case where the claims are expressed as a computer-readable recording medium on which the instructions are recorded. The terms and expressions used are not limited, and other expressions are included in the present invention as long as they are substantially the same contents and the same meaning.

Claims (12)

  1. A broadcast signal receiving apparatus that receives a program transmitted by a broadcast signal and is connected to one or more servers via a network, comprising:
    a program attribute acquisition section that acquires first attribute information of the program and a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast slot of the program;
    a replacement advertisement acquisition unit that acquires and stores a second advertisement, which is a candidate for displaying in place of the first advertisement, from the one or more servers, and acquires second attribute information of the stored second advertisement; and
    and a determination unit that determines whether or not to exclude the second advertisement from the replacement candidates, using the first attribute information and the second attribute information.
  2. The broadcast signal receiving apparatus according to claim 1,
    the first attribute information includes at least one of a demographic attribute including at least one of an age, a sex, a living area, and an address of a viewer to be viewed as the program, a keyword indicating a content of the program, a genre, and a broadcast area.
  3. The broadcast signal receiving apparatus according to claim 1,
    the second attribute information includes at least one of a demographic attribute including at least one of an age, a sex, a living area, and an address of a viewer who is a target of the second advertisement, and a sponsor name, a genre, and a product name of the second advertisement.
  4. A broadcast signal receiving method in a broadcast signal receiving apparatus that receives a program transmitted by a broadcast signal and is connected to one or more servers via a network, wherein,
    acquiring first attribute information of the program and a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast slot of the program,
    acquiring and storing a second advertisement, which is a candidate to be displayed in place of the first advertisement, from the one or more servers, and acquiring second attribute information of the stored second advertisement,
    using the first attribute information and the second attribute information, a determination is made whether or not to exclude the second advertisement from replacement candidates.
  5. A broadcast signal transmitting/receiving system comprising a broadcast signal transmitting device for transmitting a program by a broadcast signal and a broadcast signal receiving device for receiving the program transmitted by the broadcast signal and connecting the program to one or more servers via a network,
    the broadcast signal transmitting apparatus includes a transmitting unit that transmits the broadcast signal including a video stream and a voice stream,
    the broadcast signal receiving apparatus includes:
    a program attribute acquisition section that acquires first attribute information of the program and a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast slot of the program;
    a replacement advertisement acquisition unit that acquires and stores a second advertisement, which is a candidate for displaying in place of the first advertisement, from the one or more servers, and acquires second attribute information of the stored second advertisement; and
    and a determination unit that determines whether or not to exclude the second advertisement from the replacement candidates, using the first attribute information and the second attribute information.
  6. The broadcast signal transceiving system of claim 5, wherein,
    the first attribute information includes at least one of a demographic attribute including at least one of an age, a sex, a living area, and an address of a viewer to be viewed as the program, a keyword indicating a content of the program, a genre, and a broadcast area.
  7. The broadcast signal transceiving system of claim 5, wherein,
    the second attribute information includes at least one of a demographic attribute including at least one of an age, a sex, a living area, and an address of a viewer who is a target of the second advertisement, and a sponsor name, a genre, and a product name of the second advertisement.
  8. A broadcast signal transmitting/receiving method in a broadcast signal transmitting/receiving system including a broadcast signal transmitting device for transmitting a program by a broadcast signal and a broadcast signal receiving device for receiving the program transmitted by the broadcast signal and connecting the program to one or more servers via a network,
    the broadcast signal transmitting device transmits the broadcast signal including a video stream and a voice stream,
    the broadcast signal receiving apparatus performs the following processing:
    acquiring first attribute information of the program and a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast slot of the program;
    acquiring and storing a second advertisement, which is a candidate to be displayed in place of the first advertisement, from the one or more servers, and acquiring second attribute information of the stored second advertisement;
    using the first attribute information and the second attribute information, a determination is made whether or not to exclude the second advertisement from replacement candidates.
  9. A determination system comprising a first server, a second server, and a broadcast signal receiving device for receiving a program transmitted by a broadcast signal and connecting the first server and the second server via a network,
    the broadcast signal receiving apparatus includes a control means that performs control as follows: connecting to the first server and the second server via the network, acquiring a second advertisement from the second server as a candidate to be replaced and displayed in place of the first advertisement inserted in the broadcast period of the program,
    the second server includes a distribution section that distributes a second advertisement having a second broadcast time length to the broadcast signal receiving apparatus via a network,
    the first server includes:
    a program attribute acquisition section that acquires, from the broadcast signal receiving apparatus via the network, first attribute information of the program and a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast slot of the program;
    a substitute advertisement acquisition unit that acquires second attribute information of the second advertisement from the broadcast signal receiving apparatus; and
    and a determination unit that determines whether or not to exclude the second advertisement from the replacement candidates, using the first attribute information and the second attribute information.
  10. The determination system according to claim 9,
    the first attribute information includes at least one of a demographic attribute including at least one of an age, a sex, a living area, and an address of a viewer to be viewed as the program, a keyword indicating a content of the program, a genre, and a broadcast area.
  11. The determination system according to claim 9,
    the second attribute information includes at least one of a demographic attribute including at least one of an age, a sex, a living area, and an address of a viewer who is a target of the second advertisement, and a sponsor name, a genre, and a product name of the second advertisement.
  12. A determination method in a determination system including a first server, a second server, and a broadcast signal receiving apparatus that receives a program transmitted by a broadcast signal and is connected to the first server and the second server via a network,
    the broadcast signal receiving apparatus is connected to the first server and the second server via the network, acquires a second advertisement from the second server as a candidate to be replaced and displayed in place of the first advertisement inserted in the broadcast period of the program,
    the second server issues a second advertisement having a second broadcasting time length to the broadcast signal receiving apparatus via the network,
    the first server performs the following processing: acquiring, from the broadcast signal receiving apparatus via the network, first attribute information of the program and a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast period of the program;
    acquiring second attribute information of the second advertisement from the broadcast signal receiving apparatus;
    using the first attribute information and the second attribute information, a determination is made whether or not to exclude the second advertisement from replacement candidates.
