The number of CMs inserted into the program shown by the event _ id400 is 4, for example. In this case, N of 431 is 4. Thus, the CM period information 420 contains all CM period information of 4 CMs inserted to the program shown by the event _ id 400.
Fig. 4C is a diagram schematically showing an example of the configuration of the advertisement replacement processing unit 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention. The advertisement replacement processing section 330 includes a control section 330-1 and an analysis section 330-2.
The control unit 330-1 controls the overall operation of the advertisement replacement processing unit 330 and controls the analysis unit 300-2 to determine an addressable advertisement (replacement CM) for replacing the CM included in the broadcast program, and to display the determined addressable advertisement (replacement CM) on the display unit 350 of the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140.
The control unit 330-1 acquires a plurality of addressable advertisements, which are candidates for a replacement CM, from the CM distribution server 120 and stores the addressable advertisements in the recording medium 160. Then, the control unit 330-1 creates a CM list based on the acquired CM period information and stores the CM list in the recording medium 160. Fig. 4D shows an example of the CM list created by the control unit 330-1.
The analysis unit 330-2 analyzes the CM list stored in the recording medium 160, and determines whether or not the CM described in the CM list can be replaced with an addressable advertisement (replacement CM).
Fig. 4D is a diagram showing an example of a CM list generated by the control unit 330-1 of the advertisement replacement processing unit 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention. The control unit 330-1 creates a CM list 450 based on the CM period information acquired via the control information analysis means 309. The CM list 450 includes an Event _ ID451 as an identifier of a program (Event), an ID452 as an identifier of a CM, a Start _ time453 as a Start time of a broadcast Start of the CM, a duration454 as a length of a time during which the CM is broadcast, and an enable455 indicating whether or not the CM can be replaced with an addressable advertisement. The control unit 330-1 creates an Event _ ID451 based on the Event _ ID 400. The control unit 330-1 creates the CM _ ID451 based on the CM _ ID 421. Then, the control unit 330-1 creates a Start _ time452 based on the Start _ time 422. Then, the control unit 330-1 creates the duration403 based on the duration 423. The control unit 330-1 creates enable404 based on the replace _ flag 424.
For example 450 has an Event _ ID451 of 22 and a CM _ ID452 of 01. Also, Start _ time of 450 is 20181215201500. The format of Start _ time is, for example, the first 8-bit 20181215 indicating the year, month and day in the west calendar (yyymmdd), and the next 6-bit 201500 indicating the hour, minute and second (hhmms). Moreover, the duration of 450 is 15. Also, enable of 450 is 0. The CM list may include CM names and the like in addition to those shown in fig. 4D.
Fig. 4E is a process flow showing an example of the replacement process for an addressable advertisement (replacement CM) by the advertisement replacement processing unit 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention.
When the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 starts receiving a broadcast program, the advertisement replacement processing section 330 starts processing for replacing a CM included in the received program with an addressable advertisement (S400).
The control unit 330-1 of the advertisement replacement processing unit 330 accesses the recording medium 160 in which the CM list is stored, and checks whether or not the updated CM list exists (S401).
If the updated CM list exists as a result of the confirmation (yes at S402), the control section 330-1 acquires the updated CM list from the recording medium 160 and holds it (S403).
If the updated CM list does not exist as a result of the confirmation (no in S402), the control unit 330-1 repeats the confirmation process (S401) continuously or after a predetermined time until the updated CM list is stored in the recording medium 160.
Next, the control unit 330-1 acquires the start _ time of the CM included in the program displayed on the display unit 350 of the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140, that is, the program viewed by the viewer, from the held CM list, and confirms whether or not the current time has reached the start _ time (S404).
When it is confirmed (S404) that the current time has reached the start _ time (yes in S405), the control unit 330-1 inquires of the analysis unit 330-2 whether or not there is a replacement CM (addressable advertisement) that can be displayed in place of the CM inserted into the program to be displayed on the display unit 350 (S406).
When the analysis unit 330-2 is queried and it is confirmed (S406) that a replacement CM (addressable advertisement) is present (yes in S407), the control unit 330-1 acquires the corresponding replacement CM (addressable advertisement) from the analysis unit 330-2 and displays the replacement CM on the display unit 350 instead of the CM inserted into the program (S408).
When the analysis unit 330-2 is inquired and confirmed (S406) that the replacement CM (addressable advertisement) does not exist (no in S407), the CM inserted into the program is displayed on the display unit 350 as it is (S409).
If the current time does not reach the start _ time as a result of the confirmation (S404) (no in S405), the control unit 330-1 repeats the confirmation process in S404 until the current time reaches the start _ time.
The absence of a corresponding replacement CM (addressable advertisement) means, for example, the absence of a replacement CM (addressable advertisement) that may match the duration403 of a certain CM described in the CM list 450, or the absence of a CM whose enable is 1 (replaceable) in the CM list 400.
In addition, the following may be the case: the analysis unit 330-2 has a function (not shown) of estimating a viewer who is viewing a program displayed by the display mechanism 350, for example, and determines that there is no CM optimal for the estimated viewer.
Next, the control unit 330-1 checks whether or not the current time has reached the display end time of the CM (S410). The display end time can be calculated from the start _ time and duration.
If it is confirmed (S410) that the current time reaches the display end time of the CM (yes in S411), the control unit 330-1 inquires of the analysis unit 330-2 to confirm whether or not there is a CM that continues to be displayed after the CM that reaches the display end time (S412).
When the analysis unit 330-2 is queried and confirmed (S412) that there is a CM that continues to be displayed after the CM that has reached the display end time (yes in S413), the control unit 330-1 returns to the processing in S406 to query whether there is a replacement CM (addressable advertisement) that can be displayed in place of the next CM that has reached the display end time (S406).
When the analysis unit 330-2 is queried and confirmed (S412) that there is no CM that continues to be displayed after the CM at the display end time has been reached (no in S413), the control unit 330-1 queries the analysis unit 330-2 to confirm whether or not the CM is displayed at a later timing in the program being displayed on the display mechanism 350 (S414).
When the analysis unit 330-2 is queried and it is confirmed (S414) that the CM is displayed at a later timing (yes in S415), the control unit 330-1 returns to the process in S405 and continues the process of determining whether or not the replacement CM exists for the CM displayed at the later timing.
When the analysis unit 330-2 is inquired and confirmed (S414) that the CM is not displayed at a later timing (no in S415), the control unit 330-1 returns to the process in S402 and continues the process of determining whether or not a CM for replacement exists for a CM inserted into a new program.
In this way, the control unit 330-1 refers to the CM list 400, and confirms whether or not a replacement CM (addressable advertisement) exists for all CMs inserted into a program to be broadcast.
In addition, in the case of confirming whether or not a CM exists in the continuation display in S412, taking the CM list 400 shown in fig. 4B as an example, the CM in the information 412 is the CM in which the information 413 is confirmed. The CM of information 462 and the CM of information 463 are continuously (continuously) broadcasted as indicated by Start _ time and duration in the same program as indicated by the Event _ ID number.
In addition, in the case of confirming whether or not a CM is displayed at a later timing in S414, the CM of the information 415 is confirmed when the CM of the information 414 is displayed, taking the CM list 400 shown in fig. 4B as an example. The CM of the information 414 and the CM of the information 415 are CMs broadcasted in the same program as indicated by the Event _ ID number, and the CM of the information 415 is a CM broadcasted discontinuously (not continuously) with the CM of the information 414 as indicated by the Start _ time and duration.
Although the flow of processing in which a CM list is created from EITs and CM period information descriptors and the processing flow shown in fig. 4E is presented, a table of EITs and CM period information descriptors may be directly stored in the recording medium 160 and the like and may be operated while being directly referred to.
Although the examples of the advertisement replacement processing section 330 and the addressable advertisement system including the advertisement replacement processing section 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention are described with reference to the drawings, the present invention is not limited to the above examples.
In the configuration example of the addressable advertising system shown in fig. 1, the description has been given by taking as an example the case where the broadcast station (broadcast signal transmitting apparatus) 100 transmits a broadcast wave multiplexed by the MMT-TLV system and the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 receives a broadcast wave multiplexed by the MMT-TLV system, but the broadcast wave may be a broadcast wave multiplexed by the MPEG-2 system. In this case, the CM period Information descriptor may be one of descriptors configured in the eit (event Information table). Alternatively, in the configuration example of the addressable advertising system shown in fig. 1, the broadcast station (broadcast signal transmitting apparatus) 100 may distribute the program content to the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 via the network 130.
In the configuration example of the addressable advertising system shown in fig. 1, only 1 broadcast signal receiving device 140 is included, but a plurality of them may be included. The addressable advertising system may include a management server that manages the broadcast signal receiving apparatuses 140 via the network 130 by the device IDs of the broadcast signal receiving apparatuses 140, and provides services unique to the broadcast signal receiving apparatuses 140.
As described above, the broadcast signal receiving apparatus 140 including the advertisement replacement processing section 330 according to the embodiment of the present invention determines whether all CMs of a program displayed on the display means 350 can be replaced with addressable advertisements (replacement CMs) based on the CM period information of the CM period information descriptor included in the broadcast signal, and displays the replaceable CMs on the display means 350 so as to be replaced with addressable advertisements (replacement CMs).
Thus, the broadcast signal receiving apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention can appropriately replace the addressable advertisement (replacement CM) with the CM inserted into the program only by the CM period information included in the broadcast signal.
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described, these embodiments are presented as examples and do not limit the scope of the invention. These new embodiments can be implemented in other various ways, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. These embodiments and modifications thereof are included in the scope and gist of the invention, and are included in the invention described in the claims and the equivalent scope thereof. In addition, in the respective components of the claims, a case where the components are expressed by dividing them, a case where a plurality of components are expressed by combining them, or a case where they are expressed by combining them is also a scope of the present invention.
