Fig. 2 is a schematic flowchart of a method for interacting terminal capability information, which is applied to a terminal device and includes:
step 201: acquiring information of a terminal capability reporting mode;
step 202: and determining a capacity reporting mode to the network side based on the terminal capacity reporting mode information.
Here, the terminal device may be understood as a terminal capable of performing data interaction in a communication system, and may be, for example, a device such as a mobile phone.
The network side may be understood as a device on the network side capable of performing data interaction with the terminal device, for example, a device on an access network, a device on a core network, and the like, which are not exhaustive here.
Through the two steps, the terminal can acquire the information of the terminal capability reporting mode; then, based on the capability information of the network, the terminal equipment can determine the capability reporting mode.
In the foregoing step 201, the obtaining information of the terminal capability reporting mode includes:
acquiring information whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization; or, acquiring information whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization. Specifically, the information of the terminal capability reporting mode may be information sent by the network side for the terminal device, where the information indicates whether the network side itself supports terminal capability information optimization, and the information may include indication information supported or unsupported by the network side; or, the information may be information indicating whether the network side requires the terminal device to report in the terminal capability information optimization manner, where the information may include an indication that the network side requires or does not require the terminal device to report in the terminal capability information optimization manner.
That is to say, the information about whether the network side can support the terminal capability information optimization may be issued by the network side, for example, may be issued by an access network of the network side, and may of course be issued by a core network of the network side.
Specifically, the receiving network side notifies the terminal device whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization information; or, the information whether the network side needs to adopt terminal capability information optimization or not, which is notified by the network side to the terminal device, is received, and the information includes one of the following:
receiving information which is notified by an access network of a network side through system broadcast information or special signaling whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization;
receiving information which is notified by a core network of a network side whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization;
receiving information which is notified by an access network of a network side through system broadcast information or special signaling whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization;
and receiving information which is notified by a core network of a network side whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization.
The system broadcast information is not described in detail, and the dedicated signaling may be set according to actual conditions, for example, a certain signaling may be designated as the dedicated signaling, and the information in the terminal capability reporting mode is sent through the signaling.
The processing mode of the core network may be that information of a terminal capability reporting mode is sent to the terminal device in the process of registering the terminal device with the core network. It should be noted that the information may be transmitted in other processes, but this embodiment is not exhaustive.
In the foregoing step 201, the method may further include: the method includes the steps of obtaining information whether a Network side supports terminal capability information optimization or not through specific PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) broadcast information sent by the Network side, or obtaining information whether the Network side requires terminal capability information optimization or not. For example, the information supporting the optimization of the terminal capability information by the network side is transmitted to the terminal device through the broadcast information of a certain PLMN network transmitted by the network side.
It should be understood that, in this embodiment, in other words, the information of the terminal capability reporting mode includes information of whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization; or whether the network side requires the information optimized by the terminal capability information. The following embodiments are also defined in the same way and will not be described in detail.
In the foregoing step 201, the obtaining information of the terminal capability reporting mode may further be:
and acquiring information whether the network side supports the optimization of the terminal capability information or not or acquiring information whether the network side requires the optimization of the terminal capability information or not based on the subscription information or the pre-configuration information.
Specifically, information whether a network side supports terminal capability information optimization is obtained based on subscription information or preconfiguration information;
or, acquiring information whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization based on the subscription information or the pre-configuration information.
The obtaining information whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not based on the subscription information or the provisioning information, or obtaining information whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization, may include:
determining that the networks of the signed or preconfigured PLMN either support or do not support terminal capability information optimization based on the signing information or the preconfiguration information;
or,
and determining that the network of the signed or preconfigured PLMN requires or does not require the terminal capability information optimization based on the signing information or the preconfiguration information.
For example, the networks described by the PLMN, to which the terminal is subscribed or pre-configured, may or may not support this capability. Supposing that the terminal equipment is determined to be signed to one or more PLMN networks according to the subscription information, or when one or more PLMN networks which are pre-configured are determined according to the pre-configuration information, at this moment, it can be determined that one or more PLMN networks all support or do not support terminal capability information optimization according to the subscription information or the pre-configuration information; of course, there may be a case where, in the N PLMN networks included in the subscription information or the provisioning information, part of the PLMN networks support terminal capability information optimization, and another part does not support terminal capability information optimization, at this time, it may be determined which networks support which networks do not support according to the subscription information or the provisioning information, and then subsequent processing is performed.
As another example, the network of the PLMN, either subscribed to by the terminal or pre-configured, may or may not require the ability to be employed. Supposing that the terminal equipment is determined to be signed to one or more PLMN networks according to the signing information, or when one or more PLMN networks which are pre-configured are determined according to the pre-configuration information, in this case, it can be determined that one or more PLMN networks all require or do not require adopting a terminal capability information optimization mode for reporting according to the signing information or the pre-configuration information;
of course, there may be a case where, in the N PLMN networks included in the subscription information or the provisioning information, part of the PLMN networks require optimization using the terminal capability information, and the other part does not require optimization using the terminal capability information.
In the foregoing step 201, the obtaining information of the terminal capability reporting mode may further be:
and acquiring information whether the network side supports the optimization of the terminal capability information or not based on the historical information, or acquiring information whether the network side requires the optimization of the terminal capability information.
The history information may be information that the terminal device has resided or registered in one or several networks for a period of time. For example, there are M networks currently, and history information of the terminal device residing or registered in N networks (N is less than M) may be obtained.
Furthermore, if the terminal equipment is determined to reside or register in a certain network according to the historical information, the terminal stores the capability information of the network, namely the information of the capability reporting mode of the network terminal; and when the terminal resides in the network again or registers in the network, adopting the stored information of the network terminal capability reporting mode. For example, if the terminal device resides in the network a and stores information that the network supports terminal capability information optimization, or the network requests to report in a terminal capability information optimization manner, when the terminal device registers or resides in the network a again, the stored record is used to determine whether the network supports terminal capability information optimization, or determine whether the network requests to report in a terminal capability information optimization manner.
In the foregoing step 201, the obtaining information of the terminal capability reporting mode may further be: and acquiring information whether the network side supports the optimization of the terminal capability information or not based on the specific network identification information, or acquiring information whether the network side requires the optimization of the terminal capability information.
Wherein the specific network identification information includes one of: PLMN identification information, core network identification information, access network identification information, and cell identification information.
Specifically, the specific network identification information may be associated with information of a corresponding terminal capability reporting mode; that is, the terminal device may be preset, and some specific network identification information is preset to support terminal capability information optimization or preset to not support terminal capability information optimization; the terminal device can further obtain information whether the current network supports terminal capability information optimization or not or whether terminal capability information optimization is required or not after comparing the identifier of the current network with a specific network identifier.
That is, when the terminal acquires the network identifier of the terminal, the identifier of the network currently residing or registered is compared with the specific network identifier information, and the information that can acquire the reporting mode of the terminal capability can be determined.
It should be noted that, in the foregoing solutions, the information indicating whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not may be obtained according to the selected PLMN, and the information indicating whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization or not may be obtained. Namely, the information of the terminal capability reporting mode is obtained according to the information of the currently selected PLMN.
Further, in step 201, the obtaining information about the reporting mode of the terminal capability may further include:
and the access layer AS acquires the information of the terminal capability reporting mode.
The trigger may be: and when the non-access stratum NAS indicates the AS to initiate access, the AS is indicated to judge whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization.
Specifically, the AS layer determines whether the network supports the capability, and when the NAS layer instructs the AS layer to initiate access, the AS layer instructs and determines whether the network has the capability.
The process of determining the reporting mode of the terminal capability by the AS layer may include one of the following: making a determination based on a particular PLMN broadcast; judging according to the subscription information or the pre-configuration information; making a determination based on the historical information; the determination is made based on specific network identification information. For each specific judgment manner, reference may be made to the foregoing description of step 201, that is, the manner of processing in the foregoing description of step 201 may be performed by the AS layer, and whether the AS layer performs the judgment processing is initiated by the NAS layer.
In step 201, the obtaining information about the reporting mode of the terminal capability may further include: and judging whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not by the NAS or judging whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization.
After determining, by the NAS, whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization, the method further includes:
when the non-access stratum NAS indicates the AS to initiate access, the method for reporting the terminal capability is indicated to the AS, and the AS reports the terminal capability to a network side according to the method for reporting the terminal capability indicated by the NAS.
Specifically, the NAS layer determines whether the network supports the capability, and when the NAS layer instructs the AS layer to initiate access, the NAS layer instructs the terminal to report the capability, and the AS layer selects the capability reporting mode according to the NAS instruction.
Correspondingly, the method further comprises the following steps: and the AS layer submits the acquired information for judging whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not or the information for judging whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization to the NAS.
That is, the AS layer submits the acquired information for determining whether the network has the capability to the NAS layer, or the AS layer submits the acquired information for determining whether the network side requires information reporting in a terminal capability information optimization manner to the NAS layer.
The information related to the judgment acquired by the AS layer is sent to the NAS, so that the NAS judges;
the relevant information submitted to the NAS may include one of: making a determination based on a particular PLMN broadcast; judging according to the subscription information or the pre-configuration information; making a determination based on the historical information; the determination is made based on specific network identification information. For each specific judgment manner, reference may be made to the description given above of the present embodiment.
Finally, based on the processing in step 201, in step 202, the capability reporting is performed to the network side, which includes one of the following steps:
determining an explicit capability reporting mode;
adopting a mode of reporting capability identification;
adopting a mode of sectionally reporting the terminal capability message;
and a terminal capability message compression reporting mode is adopted.
The method for reporting the displayed capability can be understood as directly sending the capability information which can be supported by the terminal equipment to the network side. Specifically, the capabilities supported by the terminal device can be reported to the network side.
By adopting the method of reporting the capability identifier, it can be understood that the capability information set supported by the current terminal equipment corresponds to the identifier, and then the identifier is directly sent to the network side, so that the network side can acquire the capability information set supported by the terminal equipment; or, it may also be that different capability information of the terminal device corresponds to different identifiers, and then the terminal device reports all identifiers corresponding to the capability information supported by the terminal device to the network side. This embodiment is not exhaustive. It should be further noted that, in the manner of reporting the capability identifier, the capability identifier may guide the capability information of a set of terminals, that is, one capability identifier may correspond to one or more capability information.
The method for reporting the terminal capability message in segments may include: the terminal equipment divides one capacity message into a plurality of messages, reports the capacity message in the plurality of messages respectively, and finally the network side can obtain the complete capacity message of the terminal. Or, it can be understood that the terminal device divides a plurality of pieces of capability information, and reports a plurality of divided sets of capability information respectively; when the capability information is divided, the sending order may be determined according to the priority or importance level of the capability message. For example, there are currently 5 capabilities, where the priority of the capabilities 1 and 3 is the highest, or the importance level is the highest, and the capabilities 2, 4, and 5 are the next, and may be prioritized over the first capability message sending capability 1 and 3 and the second capability message sending capability 2, 4, and 5. Of course, a capability message may also be sent for a capability, also based on the priority or importance of the capability, with the highest priority capability being sent first. The priorities or importance levels corresponding to different capabilities may be preset according to actual situations, and are not described herein again.
Therefore, by adopting the scheme, the method for reporting the capability information to the network side can be determined according to the condition that whether the network side supports the terminal optimization capability information, so that the terminal side can report the capability information to the network side in a proper mode, and the correct and efficient interaction information between the terminal and the network side is ensured.
Fig. 3 is a schematic flowchart of a method for interacting terminal capability information, which is applied to a terminal device and includes:
step 301: indicating the information of the terminal capability reporting mode to the terminal equipment;
step 302: acquiring capability information reported by terminal equipment; and the reporting mode of the terminal equipment is related to the information of the reporting mode of the terminal equipment.
Here, the terminal device may be understood as a terminal capable of performing data interaction in a communication system, and may be, for example, a device such as a mobile phone.
The network device may be understood as a device on the network side capable of performing data interaction with the terminal device, for example, a device that may be an access network, a device that may be a core network, and the like, which are not exhaustive here.
Through the two steps, the terminal can acquire the capability information whether the network side supports the terminal capability optimization, and the terminal equipment can determine the capability reporting mode based on the capability information.
In step 301, the information indicating the terminal capability reporting mode to the terminal device may include:
and informing the terminal equipment network side whether to support the information of terminal capability information optimization or informing the terminal equipment network side whether to require the information of terminal capability information optimization through system broadcast information or special signaling.
That is to say, the information about whether the network side can support the terminal capability information optimization may be issued by the network side, for example, may be issued by an access network of the network side, and may of course be issued by a core network of the network side.
In particular, the present invention relates to a method for producing,
when the network device on the network side is the device of the access network, the terminal device can be informed whether the network side supports the information of terminal capability information optimization or not through system broadcast information or a special signaling, or the terminal device is informed whether the network side requires the information of terminal capability information optimization;
or,
when the network device on the network side is a device in the core network, the information indicating whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization may be sent to the terminal device or the information indicating whether the terminal capability information optimization is required may be sent to the terminal device in the process that the terminal device registers in the core network. It should be noted that the information may be transmitted in other processes, but this embodiment is not exhaustive.
In step 301, the information indicating the terminal capability reporting mode to the terminal device may include:
and indicating the information whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not or the information whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization to be adopted to the terminal equipment through the specific PLMN broadcast information. For example, the information supporting the optimization of the terminal capability information by the network side is transmitted to the terminal device through the broadcast information of a certain PLMN network transmitted by the network side.
In step 301, the information indicating the terminal capability reporting mode to the terminal device may include:
and indicating whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not to the terminal equipment or indicating whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization or not based on the specific network identification information.
Wherein the specific network identification information includes one of: PLMN identification information, core network identification information, access network identification information, and cell identification information.
Specifically, the specific network identification information may be associated with information of a corresponding terminal capability reporting mode; that is, the terminal device may be preset, and some specific network identification information is preset to support terminal capability information optimization or preset to not support terminal capability information optimization; the terminal device can further obtain information whether the current network supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization after comparing the identifier of the current network with a specific network identifier.
That is, when the terminal acquires the network identifier of the terminal, the identifier of the network currently residing or registered is compared with the specific network identifier information, so that it can be determined whether the network side supports the information of terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires the information of terminal capability information optimization.
It should be noted that, in the foregoing solutions, information whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or not may be obtained according to the selected PLMN, or information whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization. That is, according to the information of the currently selected PLMN, information whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization is obtained.
Fig. 4 is a terminal device provided in an embodiment of the present application, including:
the first processing unit 41 is configured to acquire information of a terminal capability reporting mode; and determining a capacity reporting mode to the network side based on the terminal capacity reporting mode information.
Through the two steps, the terminal can acquire the capability information whether the network side supports the terminal capability optimization, and the terminal equipment can determine the capability reporting mode based on the capability information.
The terminal device further includes: a first communication unit 42, configured to acquire information whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization; or, acquiring information whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization.
Specifically, the first communication unit 42 includes one of:
receiving information which is notified by an access network of a network side through system broadcast information or special signaling whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization;
receiving information which is notified by a core network of a network side whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization;
receiving information which is notified by an access network of a network side through system broadcast information or special signaling whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization;
and receiving information which is notified by a core network of a network side whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization.
The first processing unit 41 obtains information whether the Network side supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the Network side requires terminal capability information optimization through specific PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) broadcast information sent by the Network side. For example, the first communication unit receives broadcast information of a certain PLMN network transmitted by the network side, and transmits information supporting terminal capability information optimization by the network side to the terminal device.
It should be understood that, in this embodiment, in other words, the information of the terminal capability reporting mode includes information of whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization; or whether the network side requires the information optimized by the terminal capability information. The following embodiments are also defined in the same way and will not be described in detail.
The first processing unit 41 obtains information whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization based on the subscription information or the provisioning information.
Specifically, information whether a network side supports terminal capability information optimization is obtained based on subscription information or preconfiguration information;
or, acquiring information whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization based on the subscription information or the pre-configuration information.
The first processing unit 41 determines, based on the subscription information or the provisioning information, that the networks of the subscribed or provisioned PLMNs both support or do not support terminal capability information optimization;
or,
and determining that the network of the signed or preconfigured PLMN requires or does not require the terminal capability information optimization based on the signing information or the preconfiguration information.
As another example, the network of the PLMN, either subscribed to by the terminal or pre-configured, may or may not require the ability to be employed. Supposing that the terminal equipment is determined to be signed to one or more PLMN networks according to the subscription information, or when one or more PLMN networks which are pre-configured are determined according to the pre-configuration information, at the moment, it can be determined that one or more PLMN networks all require or do not require adopting a terminal capability information optimization mode for reporting according to the subscription information or the pre-configuration information;
of course, there may be a case where, in the N PLMN networks included in the subscription information or the provisioning information, part of the PLMN networks require optimization using the terminal capability information, and the other part does not require optimization using the terminal capability information.
The first processing unit 41 acquires information on whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or acquires information on whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization based on the history information.
The first processing unit 41 obtains information whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires terminal capability information optimization based on the specific network identification information.
Further, the first processing unit 41 obtains the information of the terminal capability reporting mode by the access stratum AS and the access stratum AS.
For each specific judgment manner, reference may be made to the foregoing description, that is, the manner of processing in the foregoing description may be performed by the AS layer, and whether the AS layer performs the judgment processing is initiated by the NAS layer.
The information about the method for acquiring the reporting of the terminal capability may further include: the first processing unit 41 determines, by the NAS, whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization.
The judging, by the NAS, the reporting mode of the terminal capability includes:
when the non-access stratum NAS indicates the AS to initiate access, the method for reporting the terminal capability is indicated to the AS, and the AS reports the terminal capability to a network side according to the method for reporting the terminal capability indicated by the NAS.
Specifically, the NAS layer determines whether the network supports the capability, and when the NAS layer instructs the AS layer to initiate access, the NAS layer instructs the terminal to report the capability, and the AS layer selects the capability reporting mode according to the NAS instruction.
Correspondingly, the first processing unit 41 controls the AS layer to submit the acquired information for determining whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or the information for determining whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization to the NAS.
That is, the AS layer submits the acquired information for determining whether the network has the capability to the NAS layer, or the AS layer submits the acquired information for determining whether the network side requires information reporting in a terminal capability information optimization manner to the NAS layer.
The information related to the judgment whether the network side has the information optimization supporting the terminal capability is sent to the NAS, so that the NAS judges;
the relevant information submitted to the NAS may include one of: making a determination based on a particular PLMN broadcast; judging according to the subscription information or the pre-configuration information; making a determination based on the historical information; the determination is made based on specific network identification information. For each specific judgment manner, reference may be made to the description given above of the present embodiment.
Finally, the first processing unit 41, comprises one of:
determining an explicit capability reporting mode;
adopting a mode of reporting capability identification;
adopting a mode of sectionally reporting the terminal capability message;
and a terminal capability message compression reporting mode is adopted.
The network device provided by the embodiment of the invention comprises:

Specifically, the information of the terminal capability reporting mode may be information sent by the network side for the terminal device, where the information indicates whether the network side itself supports terminal capability information optimization, and the information may include indication information supported or unsupported by the network side; or, the information may be information indicating whether the network side requires the terminal device to report in the terminal capability information optimization manner, where the information may include an indication that the network side requires or does not require the terminal device to report in the terminal capability information optimization manner.
And the second communication unit informs the terminal equipment network side of information on whether the terminal equipment network side supports terminal capability information optimization or whether the terminal equipment network side requires terminal capability information optimization through system broadcast information or a special signaling.
That is to say, the information about whether the network side can support the terminal capability information optimization may be issued by the network side, for example, may be issued by an access network of the network side, and may of course be issued by a core network of the network side.

when the network device on the network side is a device in the core network, the second communication unit may send, to the terminal device, information indicating whether the network side supports terminal capability information optimization or information indicating whether terminal capability information optimization is required to be adopted to the terminal device in a process in which the terminal device registers in the core network. It should be noted that the information may be transmitted in other processes, but this embodiment is not exhaustive.
And the second communication unit is used for indicating the information whether the network side supports the terminal capability information optimization or not or whether the network side requires the terminal capability information optimization or not to the terminal equipment through the specific PLMN broadcast information. For example, the information supporting the optimization of the terminal capability information by the network side is transmitted to the terminal device through the broadcast information of a certain PLMN network transmitted by the network side.
And the second communication unit is used for indicating whether the network side supports the information of terminal capability information optimization or not to the terminal equipment or indicating whether the network side requires the information of terminal capability information optimization or not to the terminal equipment based on the specific network identification information.
