The applicator device 10 here comprises an additional housing 18.
The first component 12 extends between a first end 24 and a second end 26 along a respective longitudinal direction D.
The first part 12 comprises a containing portion capable of containing a cosmetic product, a cosmetic application element or a closure element of a container.
In the example shown, the first component 12 includes a cosmetic application element 20.
The first component 12 further comprises a connecting member 22 arranged to grip the first component 12 and to manipulate the application element 20.
The application element here comprises a rod 21 and an application member (not shown) carried by the rod. The application member is for example a brush, a foam tip, a brush, a rotating bead, a flocked tip or a felt tip.
The clamping member 22 has an outer surface 28.
The outer surface is for example perforated. This makes it possible in particular to reduce the weight of the connecting member and to produce the connecting member using less material.
The first part 12 comprises at least one first indexing element 30 on an outer surface, here more particularly on an outer surface 28 of the connecting member 22.
The first indexing element 30 is one between ribs or grooves, more particularly here grooves.
The first indexing element 30 extends over at least part of the circumference of the outer surface of the first part 12, in this case more particularly over the entire circumference.
Disposable elements, such as pins or holes, are here included in the element extending over at least part of the circumference.
More specifically here, the first indexing element 30 is a circumferential groove extending over the entire circumference of the outer surface of the first part 12 around the longitudinal direction D.
The connecting member 22 further defines a skirt 32 extending from the surface 23 and partially surrounding the stem 21. The skirt 32 has an outer surface included in the outer surface 28 of the connecting member and has an inner surface 32. The skirt is here substantially cylindrical.
Advantageously, the first part 12 has one between ribs or so-called circumferential closed grooves at the first end 24 of the first part. In the example shown, the first component 12 has a circumferential enclosed groove 34, and the groove is defined on the inner surface of the skirt 32.
The application element 20 is integral with the connecting member 22. The application elements here extend from the surface 23 of the connecting member 22, protruding from said surface. More specifically, the rod 21 extends from said surface, the application member reaching the opposite end of the rod with respect to the surface.
The first end 24 corresponds here to the connection between the application element 20 and the connecting member 22, more particularly here to the surface from which the application element 20 extends.
The second end 26 corresponds here to the end of the connecting member 22 opposite the connection between the application element 20 and the connecting member 22.
The second component 14 comprises a receptacle capable of containing a cosmetic product, a cosmetic application element or a closure element of a container.
The second member 14 extends between a first end 36 and a second end 38. The second part extends along a respective longitudinal direction D'.
In the example shown, the second component 14 comprises a housing 40 defining an internal volume capable of containing a cosmetic product, for example a perfume, a mascara composition, an eyeliner composition, a lipstick, a nail varnish or other colouring composition.
The receiving portion 40 extends between the first end 36 and the second end 38. The receptacle has a neck 41 defining an opening on the first end 36. The neck 41 is adapted to cooperate with the skirt 32 of the first component 12.
The outer surface of the second part 14, more particularly the neck 41, has the other between ribs or circumferential closed grooves which are able to cooperate with the skirt of the first part 12. In the example shown, the second part 14 has a closed rib 42.
The closure rib 42 is adapted to be removably inserted into the closure groove 34.
The second component 14 comprises at least one first indexing element 44 on an outer surface, here more specifically on an outer surface of the receptacle 40.
The first indexing element 44 is one between ribs or grooves, more particularly here grooves.
The first indexing element 44 extends over at least part of the circumference of the outer surface of the second part 14, in this case more particularly over the entire circumference of the outer surface of the second part 14.
More specifically here, the first indexing element 44 is a circumferential groove extending over the entire circumference of the outer surface of the second component (here the receptacle 40).
Advantageously, the second component 14 comprises a squeezing means 46, which squeezing means 46 is adapted to squeeze the application member of the application element 20 of the first component 12 when the first component is extracted from the inner volume of the housing 40. In this example, the pressing device 46 is fixed to the receptacle 40 at the opening.
The first component 12 can be removably secured to the second component 14 on the first end 24 of the first component 12, and more specifically between the first end 24 of the first component 12 and the first end 36 of the second component 14.
Removable fastening is performed between the first component 12 and the second component 14 by inserting the ribs 42 into the closed grooves 34.
The skirt 32 of the first component 12 then extends around the neck 41 of the receptacle 40 in such a way that the closing rib 42 is triggered in the closing groove 34.
When the first and second components 12, 14 are fastened to one another, the respective longitudinal directions D, D' of the first and second components 12, 14 are aligned.
The housing 16 is movable between an engaged position, in which the housing 16 at least partially covers the first component 12, and a free position, in which the housing 16 is separated from the first and second components 12, 14.
The displacement between the engaged position and the free position is performed by a translation of the housing 16 from the second end 26 of the first component 12 around the second component 12 according to the longitudinal direction D.
More specifically, the transition from the free position to the engaged position is made by translation in a direction away from the second end 26 along the housing direction toward the first end 24, and the transition from the engaged position to the free position is made by translation of the housing in a direction away from the first end 24 toward the second end 26.
In both cases, the housing 16 passes around the second end 26 during displacement.
The housing 16 here includes a collar 48, a push member 50 and an outer housing body 52.
The collar 48 is adapted to extend around the first component 12, and more particularly around the connecting member 22.
The collar 48 here has a generally cylindrical hollow shape defined by a peripheral wall 54.
The collar 48 extends around the respective longitudinal direction between a first end 56 and a second end 58. When the housing 16 is in the engaged position, the respective longitudinal direction of the collar 48 is aligned with the longitudinal direction D of the first component 12.
The collar has an inner surface for mating with the first component 12 and has an outer surface.
The collar 48 includes at least one deformable portion 60 between a rest position and a disengaged position. The collar here comprises two diametrically opposed deformable locations 60.
The deformable portion 60 is particularly deformable in the detached position, since a space is arranged between the deformable portion in the rest position and the outer housing body 52.
In the example shown, the collar 48 includes at least one opening 62 defined in the peripheral wall and a deformable tab extending in the opening 62 and forming the deformable portion 60.
At least a portion of the deformable tab has, for example, a reduced thickness relative to the remainder of the peripheral wall 54, such that the deformable tab is deformable. The deformable tabs are here made of the same material as the rest of the collar. The deformable tab is formed as a single piece with the remainder of the collar.
Alternatively or additionally, the deformable tab may be deformed by using a different material than the rest of the collar.
Advantageously, the inner surface comprises at least one second indexing element 64, more particularly at least one second indexing element 64 on each deformable portion 60.
The second indexing element 64 is reversibly engageable with the first indexing element 30 of the first component 12 to retain the housing 16 in the engaged position.
The second indexing element 64 is another between the ribs or grooves relative to the first indexing element 30 of the first component 12. The second indexing element extends over at least part of the circumference from the inner surface of the collar 48.
More specifically herein, the second indexing element 64 is a rib extending over the circumference defined by each deformable tab.
In addition, the peripheral wall 54 has at least one additional opening near and/or opening into the second end of the collar.
In the example shown, the peripheral wall 54 has, in the vicinity of the second end 58: two additional openings 66, and the two additional openings 66 have closed edges (here rectangular); and two additional openings 68 leading to the second end 58, and the two additional openings 68 have open edges (here rectangular, with one of the sides of the rectangle at the second end 58).
The additional openings 66 with closed edges are diametrically opposed and the additional openings 68 with open edges are diametrically opposed in such a way that the additional openings with closed edges and with open edges alternate over the circumference of the collar 48.
Each additional opening 66 with a closed edge has a circumferential side closest to the second end 58 (referred to as the distal end 69) and an opposite circumferential side (referred to as the proximal end 71).
Each additional opening 68 having an open edge has a single circumferential side 72 at a distance from the second element.
The collar 48 includes at least one resilient member 70 for actuation.
The elastic member 70 for actuation may be deformed by applying force and may be able to return to its original shape when at rest.
More specifically, the collar 48 includes a resilient member 70 for actuation, the resilient member 70 extending in the additional opening, more specifically in each additional opening 68 leading to the second end 58 of the collar 48.
The element 70 is here a tongue which extends between an end connected to a circumferential side 72 of the additional opening 68 and a free end. Which projects from said edge 72 and extends obliquely with respect to said edge 72 into the opening 68. At rest, this member forms an angle α with the edge 72, for example between 10 ° and 60 °, more particularly between 40 ° and 45 °.
The push member 50 is here a button.
The buttons 50 extend between the first and second ends 74, 76 about respective longitudinal directions aligned with the longitudinal direction of the collar 48.
The push member 50 includes a lateral wall 78 extending about the longitudinal direction between the first end 74 and the second end 76 and includes a closure wall 80.
The lateral wall 78 has a cylindrical portion 82 extending about the longitudinal direction between the second end 76 and a middle edge 84, and at least one tab 86 extending from the middle edge 84 of the cylindrical portion 82.
The cylindrical portion 82 has an extra thickness at the middle edge 84 that protrudes outward to form a ring.
The lateral wall 78 here comprises two diametrically opposed tabs 86, the tabs 86 having a shape such that they are comprised in a cylinder extending around the longitudinal direction between the intermediate edge 84 and the first end 74. Here, the outer diameter of the cylinder is equal to the outer diameter of the ring of the cylindrical portion 82.
The urging member 50 includes at least one rib 88, 90 extending radially outwardly projecting from the lateral wall 78. Each rib 88, 90 extends here over a part of the circumference of the pushing member. More specifically, the ribs 88, 90 extend on the same circumference on the ring.
The pushing member 50 here comprises two main ribs 88 and two secondary ribs 90.
The main rib 88 extends between the tabs according to a circumference.
Each secondary rib 90 extends at the bottom of one of the tabs 86 on the intermediate edge 84.
The closure wall 80 is integral with the lateral wall 78 at the second end 76. The closed wall forms a disc to close the cylindrical portion 82 at the second end.
The housing body 52 extends around the collar 48 and forms the outer surface of the housing.
The housing body 52 has a generally cylindrical side surface 92 surrounding a longitudinal direction that overlaps the longitudinal direction of the collar and extends between a first end 94 and a second end 96.
The side surface 92 has an inwardly facing edge 98 at the second end 96. The edge 98 has a J-shape in a manner forming a flap.
The side surface 92 of the housing body 52 has an inner diameter outside the rim 98 that is strictly greater than the outer diameter of the peripheral wall 54 of the collar 48.
More specifically, the collar 48 is inserted into the housing body 52 in such a manner that the collar 48 extends against the housing body 52.
The respective first ends 56 of the collars 48 and the respective first ends 94 of the housing body 52 are substantially coincident. The second end 58 of the collar 48 is interposed between the rim 98 of the housing body 52 and the cylindrical side surface 92.
The housing body 52 is integral with the collar 48 (e.g., by gluing).
Advantageously, in the embodiment shown, the outer surface of the collar 48 comprises at least one circumferential groove in which the glue for fastening the housing body 52 and the collar 48 remains. This makes it possible in particular to have a particularly secure fastening between the housing body 52 and the collar 48.
Alternatively, the housing body 52 and collar 48 form a single component.
In addition to the ribs 88, 90, the push member 50 extends within the space defined by the outer surface of the collar 48.
The push member 50 is movably mounted with respect to the collar 48 between a rest position and a withdrawn position, which enables disengagement of the first indexing element 30 of the first part 12 and the second indexing element 64 of the collar 48 when the push member is in the withdrawn position. More specifically, the pushing member 50 is able to deform the deformable portion 60 radially outwards from the rest position to the detached position by passing from the rest position to the extracted position.
In addition, in the extracted position, the pushing member 50 pushes the second end 26 of the first part 12 in such a way as to offset the first indexing element 30 with respect to the second indexing element. Thus, when the push member 50 returns to the rest position, the housing 16 does not immediately re-engage with the first component 12.
To transition from the rest position to the extracted position, the push member 50 is translationally movable relative to the collar 48 in the longitudinal direction of the collar.
The second end 76 of the push member extends against the inside of the edge of the housing body. Each tab 86 of the push member 50 is aligned with the deformable portion 60 of the collar 48 along the longitudinal direction.
At least one rib, and more specifically each primary rib 88, extends between the second end 58 of the collar 48 and the resilient member for actuation 70, and more specifically here between an edge 98 of the housing body 52 and the resilient member for actuation 70.
In addition, each secondary rib 90 extends into the additional opening 66 of the collar 48.
In its rest position, the second end 76 of the push member 50 is aligned with the second end 96 of the housing body 52.
Each tab 86 does not act on the deformable portion 60 and, more specifically, each tab is not in contact with said deformable portion 60.
In the rest position, each secondary rib 90 extends against the distal side 69 of the additional opening 66 in such a way that it forms a stop for the movement of the pushing member 50.
Alternatively, the stop is formed by contact between at least one rib 88, 90 and an edge 98 of the housing body 52.
In its extracted position, the second end 76 of the push member 50 is offset relative to the second end 96 of the housing body 52 in the direction of the first end 94 of the housing body 52.
In the extracted position, each tab 86 exerts a force on the corresponding deformable portion 60. More specifically, each tab extends against the inner surface of the deformable portion 60, thereby applying a radially outward force. Then, the deformable portion is deformed at the separated position.
In the extracted position, at least one rib, here each main rib 88, exerts a force on the resilient member for actuation 70, thereby deforming the resilient member for actuation 70. More specifically, the main rib 88 presses on the member 70 in the longitudinal direction on the free end of the tongue to reduce the angle formed between the tongue and the circumferential side 72.
Then, the resilient member for actuation 70 applies an opposite force to displace the pushing member 50 to the rest position. Thus, the resilient member for actuating 70 is a resilient member for actuating the urging member to its rest configuration.
The secondary rib 90 presses on the proximal side 71 of the additional opening 66 to form a stop for the movement of the pushing member 50. This makes it possible in particular to limit the force exerted by the main rib 88 on the elastic member 70 for actuation, for example, so as not to damage the elastic member 70 for actuation.
With respect to the second component 14, the additional housing 18 is similar to the housing 16, and the description with respect to the housing 16 applies to the additional housing 18 by replacing the mating with the first component 12 with the mating with the second component 14.
Thus, the additional housing 18 is movable between an engaged position, in which the additional housing 18 at least partially covers the second part 14, and a free position, in which the additional housing 18 is separated from the first part 12 and the second part 14.
The displacement of the additional housing 18 between the engaged position and the free position is performed by translation of the additional housing 18 from the second end 38 of the second component 14 around the second component 14.
The invention also relates to a kit comprising a cosmetic application device 10 according to any one of the preceding claims and a refill.
The alternative includes a first additional component similar to the first component 12.
The housing 16 is also movable between an engaged position, in which the housing 16 at least partially covers the first additional component, and a free position, in which the housing 16 is separated from the additional first component, wherein the displacement between the engaged position and the free position is performed by a translation of the housing 16 from the second end of the additional first component around the first additional component in the longitudinal direction.
Such a replacement makes it possible, for example, to replace the first component 12 without replacing the outer shell 16. This makes it possible in particular to reduce the amount of waste produced by the replacement.
Additionally or alternatively, the alternative comprises a second additional component similar to the second component 14, the additional housing 18 being displaceable between an engaged position engaging the additional second component and a free position, the displacement being obtained by a translation of the additional housing 18 from a second end of the second additional component around the second additional component in the longitudinal direction.
Similarly, this makes it possible to replace the second part 14 without replacing the additional housing 18.
The first additional member and the second additional member define an interior volume containing a cosmetic product.
In a first embodiment, the cosmetic product is similar to or the same as the cosmetic product contained in the first component and/or the second component. This allows the user to refill the applicator with the same cosmetic product, if necessary.
In a second embodiment, the cosmetic product is different from the cosmetic product contained in the first component and/or the second component. This then enables the user to change the cosmetic used by displacing the housing and the additional housing onto the desired component. Thus, the same housing may be used for a plurality of components to form an application device adapted to the needs of the user.
A method of installing the applicator assembly 10 as described above will now be described.
The first component 12, the second component 14 and the housing 16 are provided as described above.
Advantageously, an additional housing 18 as described above is also provided.
The housing 16 and, where applicable, the additional housing 18 are separate from the first and second components 12, 14.
The housing 16 is displaced between an engaged position, in which the housing 16 at least partially covers the first component 12, by translation of the housing 16 from the second end 26 of the first component 12 about the first component 12 along the longitudinal direction D.
The first indexing element 30 of the first component 12 engages with the second indexing element 64 of the housing 16 to retain the housing 16 engaged about the first component 12.
Similarly, the additional housing 18 is displaced towards the engaged position, in which the additional housing 18 at least partially covers the second component 14, by a translation of the additional housing 18 from the second end 38 of the second component 14 around the second component 14 along the longitudinal direction D'.
This can be done with or without the first and second components 12, 14 being fastened to each other.
The applicator 10 then provides a pleasing aesthetic appearance.
When the user wants to detach the housing 16 from the first part 12, he presses on the thrust member 50 along the longitudinal direction D to move it to the extracted position. The tabs 86 exert a force on the deformable portion 60 in the disengaged position. Thus, the first indexing element 30 of the first component 12 and the second indexing element 64 of the collar 48 disengage.
The user displaces the housing 16 from the engaged position to a free position in which the housing 16 is separated from the first and second components 12, 14 by translation of the housing 16 from the second end 26 of the first component 12 about the first component 12 along the longitudinal direction D.
Similarly, when the user wants to release the additional housing 18 from the second part 14, he displaces the additional housing 18 from the engaged position to a free position in which the additional housing 18 is disengaged from the first part 12 and the second part, the displacement being performed by a translation of the additional housing 18 from the second end 38 of the second part 14 around the second part 14 in the longitudinal direction D'.
This can be done with or without the first and second components 12, 14 being fastened to each other.
This in particular makes it possible to replace the outer shell 16 of the first component 12 and the additional outer shell 18 of the second component 14 separately.
In an embodiment not shown, the device also comprises an anti-rotation notch which makes it possible, on the one hand, to rotationally fix the first part 12 and the casing 16 and, on the other hand, to rotationally fix or limit the rotation of the second part 14 and the additional dressing 18.
The anti-rotation recesses are, for example, grooves provided on one of the first part 12 and the housing 16 and on one of the second part 14 and the additional housing 18.
Alternatively, the anti-rotation notch is an element (e.g. a part-circumferential groove) in a projection on the inner surface of the collar, which element is arranged to rub against the outer surface of the second part, thereby limiting rotational movement between the collar and the second part.
As an alternative to the above described embodiment, the fastening between the first part and the second part is not performed by inserting the closing rib into the closing groove, but by screwing the thread in the thread pitch. More specifically, one of the first and second components has a thread at its first end and the other of the first and second components has a thread pitch at its first end, and reversible fastening between the first and second components is performed by screwing the thread in the thread pitch.
In this embodiment, the first indexing element and the second indexing element advantageously have circumferential stops. This makes it possible in particular to prevent the casing and the additional casing from rotating around the respective first and second part, while the user wishes to screw or unscrew the first and second part.
For example, the first indexing element and the second indexing element extend over part of the circumference. The stop of the edge of the first indexing element relative to the edge of the second indexing element thus forms a circumferential stop.
Alternatively, the circumferential stop is formed by a disposable additional element.
As an alternative to the embodiment of the application device described above, the first part comprises the receiving portion and the second part comprises the application element.
Alternatively, the first part is for lipstick and the second part is a closure, or the first part is a closure and the second part is for lipstick.
Alternatively or additionally to the embodiments of the kit described above, the kit comprises a further housing and/or a further additional housing similar to the housing and/or the additional housing. This particularly makes it possible to modify the appearance of the application device by replacing the housing and/or the additional housing with a further housing and/or a further additional housing without changing the first and second parts.
A second embodiment of the device 110 according to the invention will be described with reference to fig. 6. Only the elements different from the first embodiment will be described herein. The same or similar elements are numbered in a similar manner to the first application embodiment 100.
The first part 112 includes an inner surface, and a first indexing element 130 is defined on the inner surface of the first part 112. The first indexing element 130 is here a circumferential shoulder provided on the inner surface extending to the second end 126 of the first part 112.
The collar 148 has a generally cylindrical shape configured to extend around the first component 112 and has an inner surface.
The tab comprises a deformable portion 160 extending towards the stop at a distance from the stop. The deformable portion includes a shoulder facing the inner surface of collar 148 that forms second indexing element 164.
The deformable portion 160 is deformable between a rest position and a disengaged position, the distance between the deformable portion 160 and the stop 102 in the disengaged position being strictly greater than the distance between the deformable portion 160 and the stop 102 in the rest position.
In the absence of a force exerted on the deformable portion 160, the deformable portion 160 is in the rest position.
When the housing 116 is engaged around the first part 112, the first indexing element 130 abuts against the stop 102 of the collar 148. The first indexing element 130 is retained in a radial direction between the deformable portion 160 and the inner surface of the collar 148, and in a longitudinal direction D of the collar 148 between a shoulder 164 of the deformable portion 160 and the stop 102.
The push member 150 moves relative to the collar 148 between an idle position and a withdrawn position similar to those described above.
The push member 150 includes at least one rigid tab 186.
In the rest position, the rigid tabs 186 extend radially, for example, between the stop 102 and the deformable portion 160.
In the withdrawn position, the rigid tabs 186 press against the deformable portion 160. The rigid tabs are arranged to deform a deformable portion 160 of tab 100 of collar 148 to separate said deformable portion 160 from stop 102. Thus, the first indexing element 130 is no longer retained between the shoulder 164 of the deformable portion 160 and the stop 102 along the longitudinal direction D, which enables longitudinal movement of the first part 112 relative to the collar 148.
Further, advantageously, the rigid tab 186 presses on the second end 126 of the first part 112 in the extracted position, the first part 112 then being longitudinally displaced with respect to the casing 116. The first indexing element 130 is then disengaged from the second indexing element 164 and the housing 116 can be displaced in a free position.
A third embodiment of the device 210 according to the invention will be described with reference to fig. 7. Only the elements different from the second embodiment will be described here. The same or similar elements are numbered in a manner similar to that of the second application embodiment 100.
The collar 248 has a generally cylindrical shape configured to extend around the first member 212 and has an inner surface.
The collar 248 also includes a central portion 204, the central portion 204 being connected to the generally cylindrical portion by a connecting portion.
The connecting portion here forms a stop 202 of the second end 226 of the first part 212 against the collar.
The central portion 204 includes a structure 206 (here, a U-shape) that extends from the connecting portion opposite the pushing member 250.
The structure 206 includes a base 208, the base 208 configured to contact a wall of the first member 212 when the housing 216 is engaged around the first member 212.
The central portion 204 also includes a tab 200.
The tab 200 extends from the bottom of the structure opposite the first member 212.
The tab 200 includes a deformable portion 260, and the deformable portion 260 includes a shoulder facing the inner surface of the collar 248 that forms a second indexing element 264.
The deformable portion 260 is deformable between a rest position and a separated position, the distance between the deformable portion 260 and the inner surface in the separated position being strictly greater than the distance between the deformable portion 260 and the inner surface in the rest position.
In the absence of a force exerted on the deformable portion 260, the deformable portion 260 is in the rest position.
In the second embodiment only, the thrust member 250 interacts similarly with the deformable portion 260 to displace the deformable portion 260 from the rest position to the disengaged position. More specifically, the push member 250 includes at least one rigid tab 286 similar to the above.
Thus, pressure on the push member 250 may disengage the first component 212 from the collar 248.
Further, when the housing 216 is engaged around the first part 212, the user pulls the housing 216 in the longitudinal direction in the direction of the push member 250, the force exerted by the user on the housing 216 is transferred to the first part 212. The wall of the first part 212 presses against the base 208 of the U-shaped structure, which holds the deformable portion 260 against the first indexing element 230, i.e. in the disengaged position. Thus, the first indexing element 130 and the second indexing element 164 remain engaged, and the housing 216 remains around the first component 212.
This makes it possible to prevent the housing 216 from being pulled out without using the pushing member 250.
Advantageously or additionally to the first, second or third embodiment, a magnet system is provided between the first component and the housing and/or between the second component and the additional housing to more securely hold the housing and/or the additional housing and the first component and/or the second component together. Such magnet systems are described, for example, in EP1095870B1 or FR 2973004a 1.
In all the alternatives described, the displacement of the housing or the additional housing is performed by translation from the second end of the first part around the first part or the second part, wherein the fastening between the first part and the second part is performed on the first end part. Such a housing can be displaced to an engaged position or a free position (including when the first component is secured to the second component).
