Background
For the design of the traditional smart phone, the thickness of the smart phone is a key parameter to be considered in the design process, and even if the thickness is reduced by 0.1, huge design cost is required. For the front shell and screen, the conventional design approach is: the screen assembly is placed on the front shell of the mobile phone as a whole, and the front shell space is avoided.
The glass cover plate and the LCM liquid crystal module are attached together to form a screen assembly, and the front shell needs to be subjected to space avoidance to support the front shell. The LCM liquid crystal module has the working principle that the backlight component at the bottom provides a light source, and the light source is projected to the liquid crystal layer and the optical filter layer through the multilayer films to realize the color of the surface of a screen, so that the backlight component mainly plays a role of providing a uniform and stable light source. For the LCM, the backlight assembly inside the LCM comprises multiple layers of films, typically up to 0.75mm thick in a 1.25mm thick LCM. The backlight assembly in the liquid crystal module increases the thickness of the screen assembly and occupies the space of the front shell.
