HbbTV provides a technical standard that is integrated with Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) so that a display device can provide internet contents transmitted through a broadband in addition to conventional broadcast contents. Various HbbTV applications have been generated based on the HbbTV standard, and are now being widely applied to display devices.
In one example, the launching of the HbbTV application is associated with a channel. In one embodiment, when switching to a current channel for playing, if the display device detects that the current channel corresponds to an HbbTV Application, the display device parses Application Information Table (AIT) data corresponding to the current channel and starts an HbbTV self-starting Application, where the HbbTV self-starting Application includes the HbbTV Application corresponding to the current channel, so that a user can select the HbbTV Application according to the Application Information for viewing.
A schematic diagram of the process of starting the HbbTV application is exemplarily shown in FIGS. 2A-2B, and the process of starting the HbbTV application is exemplarily described below in connection with FIGS. 2A-2B:
after the HbbTV self-starting application is started, a GUI400 as shown in fig. 2A can be provided to the display, where the GUI400 includes a prompt message 41 for prompting the user to view the HbbTV application corresponding to the current channel by pressing the R (red) key on the control device; in fig. 2A, when a key input command corresponding to a red key on the control apparatus is received, as shown in fig. 2B, the HbbTV self-starting application displays an HbbTV application display area 42 on the display, where the HbbTV application display area 42 includes items 421 to 423 that respectively represent applications a to C corresponding to the current channel, and the items 421 to 423 may be specifically displayed as application names, application icons, and the like of the HbbTV application. In response to an instruction to select any one of items 421 to 423, the display device starts the HbbTV application indicated by the item.
According to the procedure of starting the HbbTV application described above, before the HbbTV self-starting application starts, the user often does not know which HbbTV applications the current channel corresponds to, which results in that the selection of the HbbTV application by the user is actually passive, and it is difficult to actively select a favorite HbbTV application from all HbbTV applications for viewing. At present, if a user wants to watch a favorite HbbTV application, the user needs to memorize the correspondence between channels and the HbbTV application, but in practice, different channels may correspond to the same HbbTV application, and the correspondence is easy to confuse the user and is difficult to memorize.
Therefore, the application provides a HbbTV application starting method, so that a user can actively select and start a target HbbTV application.
In order to facilitate understanding of the implementation of the HbbTV application starting method provided by the present application, first, a construction process of a correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and a channel is described below with reference to fig. 3A to 3B:
fig. 3A-3B illustrate a flow chart for constructing a correspondence of an HbbTV application with a channel. In one embodiment, when the process is applied to the display apparatus 200, the display apparatus 200 may include: the system comprises a DTV (Digital Television) signal receiving module, a channel information analysis module, an application information analysis module and a corresponding relation construction module. As shown in fig. 3A, the process may include:
step S51, the DTV signal receiving module equipment receives DTV signals and sends the received DTV signals to the channel information analysis module and the application information analysis module for analysis; the channel information analysis module is used for analyzing the DTV signals to obtain channel information, and the application information analysis module is used for analyzing the DTV signals to obtain application information of HbbTV application.
In one example, the display device 200 further includes: and the channel list storage device and the application list storage device are respectively used for storing the channel information and the application information. Specifically, the channel list storage device may store channel information obtained by the channel information analysis module analyzing the DTV signal in a list format, and the application list storage device may store application information of the HbbTV application obtained by the application information analysis module analyzing the DTV signal in a list format.
In one embodiment, the channel information obtained by parsing the DTV signal may include the following attributes: original Network Identification (ONID), transport Stream Identification (TSID), service identification (Service ID, SID), channel Name (Channel Name), and/or Elementary encapsulation identification (Elementary _ PID).
For any channel, the ONID, the TSID, and the SID are attributes for uniquely identifying the channel, and the Elementary _ PID is configured to indicate an HbbTV application corresponding to the channel, specifically, a value of the Elementary _ PID may be an index of the HbbTV application corresponding to the channel, and more specifically, a value of the Elementary _ PID may be an encapsulation identifier of application information of the HbbTV application corresponding to the channel.
Taking the example of storing the channel information in the form of a list, each entry in the list represents a channel, and the structure of each entry can refer to table 1:
TSID ONID SID Elementary_PID Channel Name ……
TABLE 1
In table 1, "\8230;" indicates other attributes of channel information that may exist.
In one embodiment, the application information of HbbTV derived by parsing the DTV signal may include the following attributes: organization ID (ORGID), application ID (APPID), application information table package ID (AIT _ PID), and/or Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
For any HbbTV application, ORGID and APPID are attributes for uniquely locating the HbbTV application, and URL is used for indicating the URL corresponding to the HbbTV application; the AIT _ PID is used to indicate a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application, and specifically, a value of the AIT _ PID may be an array, and each element included in the array is a value of an Elementary _ PID corresponding to each channel of the HbbTV application.
Taking the example of storing the application information of the HbbTV application in the form of a list, each entry in the list represents an HbbTV application, and the structure of each entry can refer to table 2:
ORGID APPID AIT_PID URL ……
TABLE 2
In table 2 "\8230;" indicates other attributes of application information that may exist.
And S52, the corresponding relation building module builds the corresponding relation between the HbbTV application and the channel according to the channel information obtained by analyzing the channel information analyzing module and the application information of the HbbTV application obtained by analyzing the application information analyzing module.
In one example, the correspondence relation building module may acquire channel information from a channel list storage device, and acquire application information of the HbbTV application from an application list storage device.
When constructing the correspondence relationship between the HbbTV applications and the channels, in one embodiment, the channel corresponding to each HbbTV application may be determined according to an Elementary _ PID attribute in the channel information and/or an AIT _ PID attribute in the application information. For example, for any HbbTV application, an Elementary _ PID of a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application list can be determined according to the AIT _ PID attribute of the HbbTV application, thereby determining a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application. For another example, for any channel, the HbbTV application corresponding to the channel may be determined according to the Elementary _ PID attribute of the channel, and then the channel corresponding to each HbbTV application is obtained through statistics.
In an example, the correspondence relation building module may record the generated correspondence relation to an HbbTV application list, and for convenience of description, in the following embodiments, a list in which the correspondence relation between the HbbTV application and the channel is recorded is referred to as an HbbTV application list. For any HbbTV application, the HbbTV application list includes application information of the HbbTV application and channel information of a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application. In one embodiment, the application information in the HbbTV application list may include only a part of attributes in the application information obtained by parsing the DTV signal, and the channel information in the HbbTV application list may include only a part of attributes in the channel information obtained by parsing the DTV signal.
In another example, the correspondence construction module can record the generated correspondence into at least two HbbTV application lists. Specifically, for a plurality of HbbTV applications obtained by analyzing DTV signals, the correspondence construction module may divide the HbbTV applications into different HbbTV application lists according to a certain rule. For example, the rules herein may include: the HbbTV applications with the same type of function are classified into the same HbbTV application list, hbbTV applications belonging to the same operator are classified into the same HbbTV application list, and so on.
This completes the description of the flow shown in fig. 3A.
In the above flow shown in fig. 3A, the interaction relationship between the modules in the display device can be seen in fig. 3B. As shown in fig. 3B, the DTV signal receiving module device receives a DTV signal and transmits the received DTV signal to the channel information analyzing module and the application information analyzing module; the channel information analysis module stores the channel information obtained by analyzing the DTV signals into a channel list storage device, and the application information analysis module stores the application information obtained by analyzing the DTV signals into an application list storage device; the corresponding relation building module respectively obtains channel information and application information from the channel list storage device and the application list storage device, and builds the corresponding relation between the HbbTV application and the channel according to the obtained application information and the channel information.
Through the flow shown in fig. 3A-3B, the display device constructs the correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and the channel, so as to subsequently start the HbbTV application based on the correspondence relationship.
As an embodiment, the display apparatus may further provide an HbbTV application editing function based on an HbbTV application list storing a correspondence relationship of the HbbTV application with a channel, such as: deleting any HbbTV application from the HbbTV application list, moving any HbbTV application from the existing HbbTV application list to another HbbTV application list, and so on. As an example, the display device may generate a favorite application list for storing the user's favorite HbbTV applications. In the above embodiment, the moving the HbbTV application may include moving an entry where the HbbTV application is located, where the entry records application information of the HbbTV application and channel information of a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application.
In one example, the display apparatus may output the HbbTV application and a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application based on a correspondence of the HbbTV application to the channel for a user to select a target channel corresponding to the target HbbTV application and the target HbbTV application therefrom, and switch to the target channel and start the target HbbTV application in response to the user's selection.
When the HbbTV application and the channel corresponding to the HbbTV application are output, as an embodiment, an application list display module is provided in the display device, and is configured to generate a menu page that can be displayed through the display based on the constructed correspondence between the HbbTV application and the channel. As an embodiment, the application list displaying module may obtain a correspondence between the HbbTV application and the channel from the correspondence building module described above, determine each HbbTV application in the HbbTV application list and a channel corresponding to each HbbTV application, and generate a menu page to be displayed based on the determined HbbTV application and channel. Specifically, in the menu page, the HbbTV application is displayed in the form of an application identifier such as an application name and/or an application icon, and the channel is displayed in the form of a channel identifier such as a channel name and/or a channel icon.
In one embodiment, a corresponding relationship between channel information and channel icons is preset in the display device, and the application list display module can search and display the channel icon corresponding to the channel in the corresponding relationship for any channel. In another embodiment, the channel information includes a channel icon, and the application list display module may directly obtain the channel icon from the channel information and display the channel icon.
Specifically, how to generate the menu page, how to arrange the HbbTV application on the menu page, and the channels, etc., have various implementation manners, and the application is not particularly limited.
The following describes changes of a display screen when the display apparatus outputs the HbbTV application and a channel corresponding to the HbbTV application based on the constructed correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and the channel:
in one example, the display device may display the HbbTV application via the display device in response to an instruction to display the HbbTV application. In one embodiment, the display apparatus may determine that an instruction indicating display of the HbbTV application is received when a key input instruction corresponding to a designated key on the control apparatus is received, where the designated key may be a key added to the control apparatus specifically for displaying the HbbTV application. In another embodiment, when it is determined that the selectable item provided by the display device to indicate that the HbbTV application is displayed is selected, the display device may determine that an instruction to indicate that the list of the HbbTV application is displayed is received, and the selectable item to indicate that the HbbTV application is displayed may be an item added to a GUI provided by the display device, and in particular, the GUI provided by the display device may be implemented as a top page of the display device.
Schematic diagrams showing HbbTV applications are exemplarily shown in fig. 4A-4F.
In one example, the HbbTV application may be displayed in a menu page. As shown in fig. 4A, the display device may provide a GUI600 to the display, the GUI600 including a menu page 61 for presenting the HbbTV application. The menu page 61 includes items 611 to 614, which are respectively used to represent applications 1 to 4, and are specifically displayed as application identifiers of the applications 1 to 4. The HbbTV application described above can be displayed based on the correspondence of the HbbTV application and the channel that has been constructed.
In one embodiment, the HbbTV application currently displayed by the display may not be all HbbTV applications that the display device is capable of running, and there may be a portion of the HbbTV application that is not displayed on the display. The display device may display the HbbTV applications not displayed on the display in an order in response to a user input.
As shown in fig. 4B, an icon 615 is included in the menu page 61 to prompt the user that there is currently an HbbTV application not displayed on the display, and the currently undisplayed HbbTV application can be displayed on the display by pressing the down direction key on the control apparatus. For example, in fig. 4B, when the user presses the down direction key on the control device, as shown in fig. 4C, the display device may display an item 616, which is not displayed in fig. 4B, in the menu page 61 in response to a key input instruction corresponding to the down direction key, where the item 616 is used to represent the application 5 and is specifically displayed as the application identifier of the application 5; and, the item 611 displayed on the display in fig. 4B is hidden and an icon 617 is displayed, the icon 617 being used to prompt the user that there is currently an HbbTV application not displayed on the display, and the HbbTV application not currently displayed can be displayed on the display by pressing the up direction key on the control apparatus.
In another example, the HbbTV application may be displayed through at least two menu pages. In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 4D, the display device may simultaneously display a menu page 63 and a menu page 62 through the display, where the menu page 63 and the menu page 62 are respectively used for displaying different HbbTV applications, and in particular, may display HbbTV applications in the list of different HbbTV applications generated in the above embodiment. The menu page 63 includes items 611 to 614, the menu page 62 includes items 621 to 624, and the items 621 to 624 are respectively used for representing the applications 11 to 14 and specifically displayed as application identifiers of the applications 11 to 14.
In another embodiment, as shown in fig. 4E, the display device may display a menu page 64, where the menu 64 includes items 641 and 642, and each of the items 641 and 642 corresponds to a sub-menu for displaying the HbbTV applications in the list of different HbbTV applications generated in the above embodiment. The display device may control the selector to move between the items 641, 642 in response to a user input, such as a key input command corresponding to an arrow key on the control means, and display a sub-menu corresponding to an item selected by the selector in response to a user input indicating activation of the item selected by the selector, such as a key input command corresponding to a confirmation key on the control means. The display form of the selector can be the focus object, and the identification form of the focus object is not limited, for example, the position of the focus object can be identified by changing the background color, the border line, the size, the transparency and/or the font of the focused item. See selector 65 shown in fig. 4E, which selector 65 identifies the focal object as item 642 by changing the background color of item 642.
In fig. 4E, the item 642 selected by the selector 65 is selected by the selector, and when an instruction indicating activation of the item selected by the selector 65 is received, as shown in fig. 4F, the display device displays a submenu 6421 corresponding to the item 642, and the submenu 6421 includes items 621 to 624, representing the application 11 to the application 14, respectively.
So far, the description of the application of displaying HbbTV is completed with reference to FIGS. 4A to 4F.
In one example, the display device outputs a channel corresponding to a target HbbTV application, which may be one of the HbbTV applications displayed via fig. 4A-4F, in response to selecting the instruction for the target HbbTV application.
Schematic diagrams showing channels corresponding to the HbbTV application are exemplarily shown in fig. 5A-5B. The following is described by way of example in connection with FIGS. 5A-5B:
in one example, in response to a target HbbTV application selection instruction, a display device displays a submenu corresponding to the target HbbTV application, where the submenu includes a channel corresponding to the target HbbTV application.
Taking the HbbTV application displayed by the display device as an example as shown in fig. 4A, in fig. 4A the display device can control the movement of the selector between the items 611-614 in response to a user input. For example, in fig. 5A, the item selected by the selector 65 is the item 611 (application 1), and when an instruction indicating that the selector 65 is activated is received, the display device determines that the instruction selected by the application 1 is received, and as shown in fig. 5B, the display device displays a lower menu corresponding to the item 611 (application 1) through the display, where the lower menu includes items 6111 to 6113 indicating channels 1 to 3, respectively, where the channels 1 to 3 are channels corresponding to the application 1.
So far, the description of the process of displaying the channel corresponding to the HbbTV application is completed.
In other embodiments, the HbbTV application and the channel corresponding to the HbbTV application may also be displayed simultaneously through a display, which is not described in detail herein.
The above is a description of changes that occur in the display screen when the display apparatus displays the HbbTV application and the channel corresponding to the HbbTV application based on the correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and the channel that has been constructed.
The HbbTV application start method provided by the present application is described below:
a flowchart of a HbbTV application launching method is illustrated in fig. 6. In one embodiment, the method is applied to a display device, and the display device can be embodied as a smart television. With reference to the structure of the display device 200 shown in fig. 1C and fig. 6, the HbbTV application starting method may include the following steps:
and step S71, responding to the target HbbTV application selection instruction, and outputting the channel corresponding to the selected target HbbTV application.
In one embodiment, before the execution of step S71, the display apparatus may display the HbbTV application on the display based on the constructed correspondence relationship of the HbbTV application and the channel in response to the instruction indicating the display of the HbbTV application.
How to determine to receive the instruction indicating to display the HbbTV application is described above, and is not described herein again. In one embodiment, the display device may also automatically display the HbbTV application, such as displaying the HbbTV application in a top page of the display device after the display device is started.
The HbbTV application and channel correspondence described above can be constructed by referring to the flow shown in fig. 3A-3B. After receiving an instruction indicating to display the HbbTV application, which is input by a user, how to display the HbbTV application on the display based on the constructed correspondence between the HbbTV application and the channel is described above by the application list display module and fig. 4A to 4F, and is not described again here.
When receiving the target HbbTV application selection instruction, the display device outputs a channel corresponding to the target HbbTV application based on the constructed correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and the channel.
In one embodiment, receiving the target HbbTV application selection instruction can include: when the display device displays the HbbTV application in the form of an application identifier based on the constructed corresponding relation between the HbbTV application and the channel, if a selection instruction of the application identifier of the displayed target HbbTV application, which is input by a user, is received, the target HbbTV application selection instruction is determined to be received.
Taking fig. 5A as an example, the display device may move the selector 65 among the items 611 to 614 in the menu page 61 shown in fig. 5A in response to a key input instruction corresponding to a direction key on the control apparatus input by the user. In fig. 5A, the currently selected item by the selector is an item 611 (displayed as an application identifier of application 1), and when an instruction indicating that the currently selected item by the selector is activated is received, the display apparatus determines that a selection instruction for the item 611 (displayed as the application identifier of application 1) is received, and further determines that a channel 1 selection instruction is received.
Upon receiving the target HbbTV application selection instruction, in one embodiment, the display device may find at least one channel corresponding to the target HbbTV application in the constructed correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and the channel, and output the at least one channel. For example, when an instruction for selecting an application 1 is received, the display device may search for a channel corresponding to the application 1 in the constructed correspondence between the HbbTV application and the channel, and if the found channel is a channel 1, a channel 2, and a channel 3, as shown in fig. 5A, items 6111 to 6113 indicating the channels 1 to 3, respectively, are displayed on the display.
Step S72, responding to a target channel selection instruction, switching the display equipment to a target channel, and starting the target HbbTV application in the target channel; the target channel is selected from the channels corresponding to the target HbbTV application outputted as described above.
The process of determining that the target channel selection instruction is received is similar to the process of determining that the target HbbTV application selection instruction is received in step S71 described above. Taking fig. 5B as an example, the display device may move the selector 65 among the items 6111 to 6113 indicating the channel 1 to the channel 3 shown in fig. 5B in response to a key input instruction corresponding to a direction key on the control apparatus input by the user. In fig. 5B, the item currently selected by the selector is an item 6112 (displayed as a channel identifier of channel 2), and when an instruction input by the user and indicating that the selector is activated to currently select the item is received, the display device determines that a selection instruction of the item 6112 (displayed as a channel identifier of channel 2) is received, and further determines that a channel 2 selection instruction is received.
As an example, the reason why the target channel needs to be switched to in step S72 to start the target HbbTV application is that the application information of the HbbTV application and the related data of the channel corresponding to the HbbTV application are transmitted together, for example, through the same code stream, so that to start the HbbTV application, it is necessary to switch to any channel corresponding to the HbbTV application first to receive the related data of the HbbTV application.
As an embodiment, the target channel is returned after exiting the target HbbTV application, and further, the program under the target channel is played.
This completes the description of the flow shown in fig. 6.
It should be noted that the names of the applications and channels appearing in the above embodiments, such as application 1 and channel 1, are only examples, and are not intended to limit the present application.
By the flow shown in fig. 6, enabling the user to actively select to launch the HbbTV application is achieved.
As can be seen from step S72, before starting the target HbbTV application, the channel needs to be switched to the target channel, and for the display device supporting the HbbTV application, when the channel is switched, it is checked whether the switched channel corresponds to the HbbTV application, and if so, the HbbTV self-start application is started, which may cause a conflict between the target HbbTV application and the HbbTV self-start application when the target channel is switched based on the HbbTV application list; after exiting the target HbbTV application started in steps S71 to S72, if the display device returns to the target channel to play, the HbbTV self-start application is not started in the target channel because the channel switching is not performed, which affects the viewing of the other HbbTV applications corresponding to the target channel by the user.
In response to the above problem, in one example, an application startup state machine is further configured in the display device. The application startup state machine maintains two states: a red key state and a non-red key state. The application launch state machine provided by the present application is described below in conjunction with fig. 7. Fig. 7 illustrates a state transition diagram of the application launching state machine, as shown in fig. 7:
when the application start state machine is in the red key state, if the HbbTV application is started through the above steps S71 to S72, updating the application start state machine from the red key state to the non-red key state; when the application startup state machine is in the non-red key state, if the HbbTV application is started up in the above steps S71 to S72, the non-red key state is maintained, and if the HbbTV application started up in the above steps S71 to S72 is exited, the application startup state machine is updated from the non-red key state to the red key state.
As an embodiment, when the HbbTV application is started in steps S71 to S72, updating the application start state machine from the red key state to the non-red key state includes: and when a target channel selection instruction is received, updating the application starting state machine from the red key state to the non-red key state.
Exiting the target HbbTV application started through steps S71 to S72 described above may include various cases. In one embodiment, after the target HbbTV application is started, if a target HbbTV application exit instruction is received, for example, a key input instruction corresponding to an "exit" key on the control device is received, the target HbbTV application exits.
In another embodiment, after the target HbbTV application is started in the target channel through the above steps S71 to S72, when a switch to another channel is required, the target HbbTV application is exited. The need to switch to other channels here may include: the display equipment receives a channel switching instruction for indicating to switch to other channels except the target channel; the display device receives an instruction for indicating switching to an up/down channel, for example, a key input instruction corresponding to a direction key of 'CH +'/'CH-' on the control device; and so on.
Based on the application starting state machine, as an embodiment, when the channel is switched, the display device checks whether the current state of the application starting state machine is a red key state, and if so, the HbbTV self-starting application is started under the switched channel; and if the current state of the application starting state machine is a non-red key state, the HbbTV self-starting application is not started under the switched channel.
Based on the application start state machine, as an embodiment, when exiting the HbbTV application, the display device checks whether the current state of the application start state machine is a red key state, and if so, starts the HbbTV self-start application under a channel returned after exiting the HbbTV application; and if the current state of the application starting state machine is a non-red key state, not starting the HbbTV self-starting application under the channel returned after exiting the HbbTV application.
Accordingly, when the HbbTV application is started in the above steps S71 to S72, the HbbTV self-starting application is not started, and when the HbbTV application started in the above steps S71 to S72 is exited and the current channel is returned to play, the HbbTV self-starting application is started in the current channel.
As described in the above embodiments, the display apparatus may construct a correspondence relationship between the HbbTV application and the channel, output the HbbTV application and the channel corresponding to the HbbTV application based on the correspondence relationship, and switch to the target channel and start the target HbbTV application under the target channel in response to the target HbbTV application selection instruction and the target channel selection instruction. Therefore, the user can actively select and start the HbbTV application instead of selecting the HbbTV application from the HbbTV application provided by the HbbTV self-starting application started after the channel is switched.
