Description

Guide rail for drawer pull-out guide
Technical Field
The invention relates to a drawer pull-out guide having at least one guide rail, wherein the guide rail comprises a first longitudinally extending web and at least one second longitudinally extending web which is angled relative to the first web, wherein the first web and the second web are connected to one another by an angled region in the longitudinal direction of the first web and the second web.
The invention also relates to a drawer pull-out guide having at least one guide rail of the type to be described, and to a method for producing a guide rail of a drawer pull-out guide.
Background
Such guide rails are used for drawer pull-out guides, so that the drawer can be mounted in the mounted position in a pull-out manner relative to the furniture carcass. Drawer pull-out guides usually comprise a first rail to be fixed to the furniture body and at least one second rail, which is mounted movably relative to the first rail. In order to achieve a complete extension of the drawer relative to the furniture carcass, a third guide rail can also be provided which is mounted so as to be displaceable. For supporting the movable guide rail, rolling bodies are provided, which are mounted in one or more movable slides. The stability and load-bearing capacity of the drawer pull-out guide can be improved by specially shaped guide rails. When using large material thicknesses, the guide rails form a rounded angled region, which also increases the construction space.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a more compact guide rail for a drawer pull-out guide, while avoiding the above-mentioned disadvantages.
According to the invention, this is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
According to the invention, the following settings are provided: the angled region includes at least one constriction of material extending along the angled region and formed by a recess.
In other words, the at least one material constriction of reduced material thickness formed by the recess is located in an angled region enclosed by the two tabs of the guide rail (i.e. on the inner side or on the inner radius of the angled region between the two tabs), wherein the two tabs are angled to each other about an imaginary axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the recess. By the material constriction formed by the recess, compression caused by compressive stress on the inner side of the angled region is prevented during bending or forming, so that the two tabs can be angled more strongly relative to one another, for example in this respect the two tabs can be angled not only by 90 ° relative to one another but also by 180 ° relative to one another. In this way, the angled region can be formed as a sharp edge and the guide rail can be formed more compactly.
A particular advantage of the invention is that, by the proposed measures, the flat running surface of the guide rail provided for contact with the rolling bodies can be enlarged, so that-while maintaining the dimensions of the guide rail-wider rolling bodies can be used and the forces generated can therefore be distributed over an enlarged area. In this way, the stability and the load-bearing capacity of the drawer pull-out guide can be additionally improved.
Here, the following may be set: the first and/or second tab has a predetermined first material thickness, wherein the material constriction of the angled region formed by the recess has a second material thickness that is reduced compared to the first material thickness. The definition of "first material thickness" is the thickness of the starting material of the rail, irrespective of possible embossing or bending of the rail.
The at least one recess may extend in the longitudinal direction of the rail at least partially, preferably substantially over the entire length of the rail. The following can be provided here: the recess is formed as a groove.
According to one embodiment, the following settings may be provided: the first and second webs at least partially abut one another in a region outside the recess. In particular the following cases: the two tabs are at an angle of 180 deg. relative to each other.
The drawer pull-out guide according to the invention is characterized by at least one guide rail of the type described. The drawer extension guide comprises a first rail to be fixed to the furniture carcass and at least one second rail mounted so as to be movable relative to the first rail, wherein at least one rolling body is arranged between the first rail and the second rail, said at least one rolling body being rollable on a first web or on a second web of the rail.
The method according to the invention for manufacturing a guide rail for a drawer pull-out guide is characterized in that it comprises the following steps:
-providing a longitudinally extending length of material,
introducing, preferably by molding, at least one recess in the form of a material constriction into the material section, the at least one recess extending along the longitudinal extension of the material section,
-deforming or bending the material section in the region of the recess, thereby forming a first tab and a second tab angled to the first tab, and the recess is provided in an angled region enclosed by the first tab and the second tab.

Further details and advantages of the invention are set forth in the following description of the drawings. Wherein:
fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a piece of furniture having a furniture body and a drawer mounted movably relative to the furniture body,
figures 2a and 2b show the drawer pull-out guide in exploded and cross-sectional views,
figures 3a and 3b show a comparison of a guide rail according to the prior art and a guide rail according to the invention,

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a piece of furniture 1 having a cabinet-shaped furniture carcass 2, wherein a drawer 3 is mounted movably relative to the furniture carcass 2 by means of a drawer extension guide 4. The drawers 3 respectively include: a front panel 5, a drawer bottom 6, drawer side walls 7 and a rear wall 8. The drawer extension guides 4 each comprise a first rail 9 (body rail), which first rail 9 is fixed to the furniture carcass 2 by means of a fixing section 12a, 12b, a third rail 11 mounted movably relative to the first rail 9, which third rail 11 is connected or is to be connected to the drawer side wall 7, and optionally a second rail 10 (intermediate rail), which second rail 10 is mounted movably between the first rail 9 and the third rail 11 in order to achieve a complete extension of the drawer 3.
Fig. 2a shows an exploded view of a drawer pull-out guide 4, which drawer pull-out guide 4 has a first rail 9 (body rail) to be fixed to the furniture body 2, a third rail 11 (drawer rail) to be connected to the drawer 3, and a second rail 10 (intermediate rail), which second rail 10 is mounted movably between the first rail 9 and the third rail 11. The first guide rail 9 comprises two fastening sections 12a, 12b spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction (L), by means of which fastening sections 12a, 12b the first guide rail 9 is to be mounted on the furniture carcass 2. At least one first slide 13 is mounted movably between the first guide rail 9 and the second guide rail 10, the first slide 13 having a plurality of rolling bodies 14, 15. The rolling bodies 14 are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction (L) and each contain a rotational axis which extends horizontally in the installed position, while the rolling bodies 15 which are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction (L) each contain a rotational axis which extends vertically in the installed position. The third rail 11 is retractable towards the end of the closing movement into a closing end position by means of a spring-assisted retraction device 16, wherein this spring-assisted closing movement can be damped by means of a damping device 17 (for example in the form of a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit).
Fig. 2b shows the drawer pull-out guide 4 in cross section, wherein a first carriage 13 with rolling bodies 14, 15 is mounted movably between the first rail 9 and the second rail 10, and at least one second carriage 18 with rolling bodies 14a, 15a is mounted movably between the second rail 10 and the third rail 11. The rolling bodies 14a each comprise a rotational axis which extends horizontally in the mounted position, while the respective rolling body 15a is rotatable about a rotational axis which extends vertically in the mounted position.
The invention will now be explained in more detail by taking the second guide rail 10 as an example. The second guide rail 10 comprises a first tab 10a and at least one second tab 10b, the first tab 10a and the second tab 10b being connected to each other by an angled region 23, wherein the angled region 23 comprises at least one material constriction extending along the angled region 23 and formed by a recess 21. The first tab 10a and/or the second tab 10b may each have a predetermined first material thickness, while an angled region 23 enclosed by the two tabs 10a, 10b is provided with at least one recess 21, such that the angled region 23 has a reduced second material thickness relative to the tabs 10a, 10 b. As can be seen from fig. 2b, the tabs 10a, 10b can be angled more strongly relative to each other by the presence of the recess 21 without generating significant compressive stresses on the inside of the angled region 23 when machining the second rail 10. In the illustrated figure, the tabs 10a, 10b are at an angle of 180 ° to each other. In the region outside the recess 21, the two webs 10a, 10b can at least partially abut one another, preferably without forming a gap 19 (fig. 3 a). In this way, the overall height of the second rail 10 can be reduced, in particular if a plurality of tabs 10a, 10b are arranged one above the other. The guide rail 10 may also comprise two or more material constrictions formed by the recesses 21, 21a, 21b, wherein in the embodiment shown the tabs adjacent to the recesses 21a, 21b are each at an angle of approximately 90 ° to each other.
Fig. 3a and 3b show a direct comparison of a guide rail 10 according to the prior art (fig. 3a) and a guide rail 10 according to the invention (fig. 3 b). The guide rail 10 according to the prior art in fig. 3a has a constant material thickness M1, wherein the webs 10a, 10b are spaced apart from one another in the height direction by a distance in such a way that a gap 19 is formed, due to the absence of the recess 21. This also results in an increase in the height (H) of the guide rail 10. The angled region 23 is formed in fig. 3a as a circle, and furthermore, only a running surface B, C with a relatively small width is available for the rolling elements 14, 15, 14a, 15 a.
Accordingly, fig. 3b shows an embodiment of the guide rail 10 according to the invention. By means of the recesses 21, 21a, 21b, the material thickness M2 is reduced in comparison to the material thickness M1, so that the tabs 10a, 10b can be angled more strongly to one another. As a result, the height H1 according to fig. 3b is smaller than the height H according to fig. 3 a. The smaller height H1 also results in a (desired) reduced constructional height of the guide rail 10. Furthermore, it can be seen that the flat running surfaces B1, C1 for the rolling elements 14, 15, 14a, 15a according to fig. 3B are significantly enlarged in relation to the flat running surface B, C according to fig. 3 a. In this way, rolling bodies 14, 15, 14a, 15a with an enlarged nominal width can be used, so that an improved support of the guide rails 9, 10, 11 is achieved and the forces can be distributed over an enlarged area. The recesses 21, 21a, 21b may each comprise at least one concave section 22 in a cross section at right angles to the longitudinal direction (L) of the rail 10. The angled region 23 formed as a sharp edge can preferably be produced by shaping. Forming (also known as roll forming or cold rolling) is a continuous bending process in which a material section 20 (fig. 4 a) composed of metal enters a forming machine where the material section 20 is formed into a desired profile section in a plurality of successive bending operations by profile roll rollers.
According to an embodiment, the following settings may be provided: the at least one guide rail 10 comprises a section 24 extending substantially vertically in the mounted position of the drawer pull-out guide 4, wherein the first tab 10a projects transversely (preferably substantially perpendicularly) to the vertically extending section 24 of the guide rail 10 in a first direction and the second tab 10b projects transversely (preferably substantially perpendicularly) from the vertically extending section 24 of the guide rail 10 in a second direction (opposite to the first direction). Furthermore, the following can be provided: the first tab 10a and the second tab 10b of at least one guide rail 10 have different lengths, wherein the following preferably applies: the length of the second tab 10b is at least three times the length of the first tab 10 a.
Exemplary embodiments:
-the material thickness M1 is between 0.5mm and 3mm, preferably between 1mm and 2mm,
-the reduced material thickness M2 is between 0.3mm and 2mm, preferably between 0.7mm and 1.5mm,
the reduced material thickness M2 is less than 0.75 times the material thickness M1, preferably less than 0.5 times the material thickness M1,
the width of the running surface B1 is between 4mm and 7mm, preferably between 5mm and 6mm,
the width of the running surface C1 is between 2mm and 5mm, preferably between 3mm and 4 mm.
Fig. 4a shows a longitudinally extending metal section 20, wherein recesses 21, 21a, 21b are introduced into the metal section 20 in a first step, preferably by forming. Subsequently, the metal section 20 is deformed or bent in the region of the recesses 21, 21a, 21b, thereby forming at least one first tab 10a and at least one second tab 10b angled to the first tab 10a, and the recesses 21, 21a, 21b are arranged in an angled region 23 enclosed by the first tab 10a and the second tab. In a further step, the webs 10a, 10b can be shaped in the height direction in such a way that the webs 10a, 10b at least partially abut one another in the region outside the recesses 21, 21a, 21b until the guide rail 10 according to fig. 4b is finally finished. Each angled region 23 may also include two or more recesses 21, 21a, 21b, if appropriate.
The rail 10 may comprise a third tab 10c and a fourth tab 10d, the third tab 10c and the fourth tab 10d being connected to each other by a second angled region 23 a. Second angled region 23a may comprise a second material constriction formed by second recess 21 b. Likewise, the guide rail 10 can have a fifth tab 10e and a sixth tab 10f, which fifth tab 10e and sixth tab 10f are connected to one another by a third angled region 23 b. The third angled region 23b may comprise a third material constriction formed by the third recess 21 a. The tabs 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, 10e, 10f adjacent to each other may each be at an angle of about 45 °, 90 ° or 180 ° to each other.
