Abstract
The invention discloses a coal gangue ceramsite, which comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 75-95% of coal gangue, 5-12% of firing clay, 3-9% of sintering aid, 15-25% of quartz tail mud, 1-5% of forming agent and 2-8% of graphite powder. According to the coal gangue ceramsite and the preparation method thereof, the graphite powder is added and calcined in the preparation process of the ceramsite, so that the overall strength of the ceramsite is effectively improved, and the chemical stability of the ceramsite is also improved.

Background
The coal gangue is black waste stone with less carbon content discharged in the coal mining process, is solid waste with the largest discharge amount in China, and the discharge and accumulation of the coal gangue not only occupies a large amount of cultivated land, but also causes great pollution to the earth surface and the atmosphere. The chemical components of the coal gangue are similar to those of clay, and the coal gangue contains high carbon and sulfur and has large ignition loss. The molten material with proper viscosity can be produced in enough quantity only in a certain temperature range, and the expansion performance is realized. According to its characteristics, China has developed coal gangue ceramsite.
The gangue ceramsite is produced by crushing, preheating, burning and expanding, cooling, grading and packaging gangue which meets the burning and expanding requirements. The quality of the obtained ceramsite product completely meets the national standard, part of technical indexes exceed the national standard, the quality of foreign similar products is achieved, and the ceramsite product is innovative, is carried out firstly and belongs to an environment-friendly product.
The coal gangue ceramsite prepared by the existing process is often low in stability and strength.

(4) high-temperature calcination;
