The novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), SARS coronavirus, Ebola virus and the like have extremely strong infectivity and have certain latency time. Medical staff are exposed to the environment of virus for a long time, and have extremely high cross infection risk.
In order to protect the safety of medical personnel during the period of resisting virus epidemic, medical workers involved in treatment must carry out three-level protection and wear various protective devices, including goggles, masks, gloves, protective clothing, operating gowns, shoe covers (boots) and the like. The protective devices are carried out in different environments according to certain procedures and procedures during the process of putting on and taking off the protective devices by individuals: during wearing, the patient firstly enters a cleaning area, wears gloves, an operation cap, a mask and goggles, wears work clothes, work shoes and shoe covers; then, the patient enters a semi-polluted area, and wears protective clothing and a mask; finally, the patient enters a polluted area, wears the isolation clothes and the shoe covers, wears a pair of gloves and enters a diseased area. The whole body is disinfected in a polluted area when the patient is out of the ward, the mask is taken off for isolation, the shoe covers and the outer gloves are taken off, and then the patient enters a semi-polluted area to take off protective clothing, goggles, a mask, an operation cap, gloves and the shoe covers and enters a clean area to take off working clothes for changing the toilet clothes).
The shoe cover is used as the innermost layer protection and directly contacts with the clothes of the medical staff, although the pollution degree is lower than that of the protective clothes and the boot cover at the outermost layer, but as the innermost layer defense line of the medical staff, in order to strictly avoid cross infection, the best mode is that the shoe cover is not directly contacted, and the shoe cover is disinfected after being worn and before being taken off.
