Description

Water-based transparent epoxy primer and preparation method and application thereof
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the field of coatings, and particularly relates to a water-based transparent epoxy primer as well as a preparation method and application thereof.
Background
At present, the coating used on carbon fiber bicycles is mainly oily in the market. In order to stabilize the size of the carbon fiber workpiece, a two-component system cured at low and medium temperature (60-100 ℃) is generally adopted. In the aspect of a coating contacted with a carbon fiber molding rough blank pipe fitting, the epoxy primer has better adhesive force to a substrate, so the water-based epoxy is also applied to a primer layer coating. But the oily epoxy primer can provide a higher disposable film thickness, and the baking curing time is shorter, so the oily epoxy primer has the advantage that the oily epoxy primer is difficult to replace. In addition, because the cured epoxy resin molecules form a three-dimensional network structure, when micro cracks are generated under the action of external load, the micro cracks are easy to expand, so that the toughness is poor; meanwhile, the interface of the carbon fiber and the epoxy resin is connected in a chemical bonding mode, although the bonding strength is good, the fracture strain capacity of the interface is low, the crack propagation resistance is poor, and the toughness of the interface is poor. The low toughness interface can cause brittle failure of the material when external load is applied, and the stress transmission of the interface is influenced, so that the application of the epoxy resin in the field of carbon fiber bicycles is limited. Finally, since water is used as a solvent and diluent for the waterborne epoxy primer, its disadvantages are also related to the water's own characteristics. When the temperature is low and the relative humidity is high, the water is slowly volatilized, and the water is frozen at 0 ℃, so that the water-based anticorrosive paint can be constructed only when the temperature is higher than 5 ℃, the environment humidity of the paint film during curing is limited to be optimal between 40% and 60%, and the construction performance of the epoxy primer is greatly limited; this is also the reason why the maximum thickness of the non-foaming dry film of the current waterborne epoxy resin coating can only reach about 30 μm after being coated on a carbon fiber bicycle.
CN110408315A discloses a water-based gloss oil, a preparation method and an application thereof, wherein the water-based gloss oil comprises the following components in parts by weight: 35-55 parts of water-based hydroxyl acrylic acid dispersoid, 5-12 parts of water-based acrylic acid hardening emulsion, 12-20 parts of water-dispersible isocyanate curing agent, 0.5-1.5 parts of anti-UV (ultraviolet) auxiliary agent, 1-3.5 parts of anti-scratch hand feeling auxiliary agent and 20-30 parts of water; the water-based varnish provided by the invention has good scratch resistance, good appearance and glossiness, and can be applied to carbon fiber bicycles, but the water-based varnish has low adhesion to substrates.
CN107201135A discloses a preparation method of a water-based epoxy primer and an application of the water-based epoxy primer on a carbon fiber bicycle. However, the water-based epoxy primer has low hardness and a thin dry film thickness, and cannot be applied under a high humidity condition.
Therefore, the development of a water-based transparent epoxy primer for carbon fiber bicycles, which has high hardness, high film thickness, wide humidity application performance and rapid drying, is the focus of current research in the field.
Disclosure of Invention
Aiming at the defects of the prior art, the invention aims to provide a water-based transparent epoxy primer and a preparation method and application thereof, in particular to a water-based transparent epoxy primer for carbon fiber bicycles. The invention provides the water-based transparent epoxy primer which has high hardness, high film thickness, wide humidity construction performance and quick drying; the special water-based transparent epoxy primer is suitable for carbon fiber bicycles, and provides easy-to-polish performance on the application layer.
In order to achieve the purpose, the invention adopts the following technical scheme:
in a first aspect, the present disclosure provides a waterborne clear epoxy primer comprising a component a, a component B, and a component C; the component A comprises a water-based epoxy resin; the component B comprises a curing agent, a composite defoaming agent, a wetting agent, a composite flatting agent, an anti-scraping auxiliary agent, a composite thickening agent and a composite solvent; the C component comprises water.
The invention adopts a three-component composite system, and all components are reasonably matched, so that the water-based transparent epoxy primer which has high hardness, high film thickness, wide humidity construction performance and quick drying property is obtained; the special water-based transparent epoxy primer is suitable for carbon fiber bicycles, and provides easy-to-polish performance on the application layer.
Wherein, the composite defoaming agent is used as a main component for eliminating bubbles, and the bubbles can be eliminated in the production and curtain coating processes: during the production process, bubbles are removed from the B component once generated, so that the bubbles are difficult to generate and maintain; in the using process, the composite defoaming agent can promote large bubbles and micro bubbles to be removed and burst in the leveling and drying process of the paint film, and the liquid paint is not easy to generate foams in the construction process.
The wetting agent is used in water-based coatings to enable better spreading on the substrate. The composite leveling agent can improve the leveling property of the epoxy primer, improve the glossiness of the epoxy primer, improve the uniformity of the primer and reduce the surface tension of the primer. The scratch resistant aid can further enhance the hardness of the epoxy primer.
After the composite thickening agent is added into a water-based epoxy primer suspension system, the composite thickening agent can form a three-dimensional network structure, so that a cross-linked copolymer macromolecular chain is rapidly expanded and stretched, the thixotropic flow property can be generated to prevent sedimentation and improve the sagging resistance, and the storage stability of the coating can be improved by the composite thickening agent. The composite solvent comprises solvents with different boiling points, and aims to realize gradient drying in a drying stage, so that wider humidity is provided for construction, and the surface flatness of the waterborne transparent epoxy primer can be ensured even under a rapid drying condition.

The component A, the component B and the component C can further improve and control the hardness, the film thickness and the drying time in the proportion. When the amount of the component B is too small, the hardness of the coating film is lowered, and when the amount of the component B is too large, the flexibility of the coating film starts to decrease because the crosslinking density increases after the epoxy groups in the epoxy resin are sufficiently reacted, and the hardness of the coating film becomes too large and cracks easily occur. Performance testing
The performance tests were performed on the waterborne clear epoxy primers provided in examples 1-17 above and the waterborne clear epoxy primers provided in comparative examples 1-10; wherein, the hardness: testing the hardness by adopting a Mitsubishi pencil; adhesion force: the adhesion is tested by the Baige method according to the method specified in the national standard GB/T9286-1998, the unit is: a stage; the maximum thickness of the non-foamed dry film is tested according to the method of GB/T13452.2-2008, units: mu m; gloss: the general 60-degree gloss meter (color spectrum gloss meter CS-380) test shows that the specific test results are shown in Table 1:
TABLE 1
Figure BDA0002520392210000171
Figure BDA0002520392210000181
Figure BDA0002520392210000191
As can be seen from the test data in Table 1, the hardness of the paint film formed by the water-based transparent epoxy primer is H-3H, the maximum thickness of the non-foaming dry film is 40-60 mu m, the curing time is within 60-100min when the paint film reaches the hardness of 2H, the applicable humidity is 30-85%, and the glossiness is 85-95. The components in the waterborne transparent epoxy primer disclosed by the invention are matched with each other, the synergistic effect is realized, the cured paint film has the advantages of high hardness, high film thickness, high gloss and quick drying, and the waterborne transparent epoxy primer can be constructed under wider humidity.
As is clear from the comparison between examples 1 and 4 to 5, when the amount of the component B is too small, the hardness of the coating film decreases, and when the amount of the component B is too large, the epoxy group in the epoxy resin is sufficiently reacted, the crosslinking density increases, and the hardness of the coating film becomes too large, and cracks are liable to occur.
As is clear from the comparison between example 1 and comparative example 1, the viscosity of the water-based transparent epoxy primer was too high without adding the component C, the primer was too thick, the coating was difficult to be uniformly applied during the application, and the coating film thickness was not uniform.
As can be seen from the comparison between the example 1 and the comparative examples 2 and 3, the first defoaming agent is mainly used for eliminating the micro bubbles and the small bubbles, the second defoaming agent is mainly used for eliminating the large bubbles, and the first defoaming agent and the second defoaming agent are matched with each other to synergistically enhance the synergistic effect, so that the large bubbles and the micro bubbles can be further promoted to rapidly separate and burst in the leveling and drying process of the paint film, and the cured dry film can reach the required maximum thickness.
From the comparison of example 1 with comparative examples 4 and 5, it is clear that the first levelling agent is mainly used to promote gloss evenness of the cured paint film, while the second levelling agent is mainly used to promote solid evenness of the cured epoxy primer and the cured paint film, and the absence of either levelling agent not only reduces gloss and evenness, but also leads to an increase in curing time to a hardness of 2H due to the inability to achieve rapid homogenization of the coating tension.
As is clear from comparison between example 1 and comparative examples 6 and 7, the first thickener provides thixotropy to the primer and the second thickener provides storage stability to the primer, the primer lacking either thickener is liable to undergo sedimentation to cause unevenness in the formed coating film, the primer is dried in the thinner part and the primer is not dried in the thicker part to attain the same hardness, and sag resistance during application is poor.
As can be seen from the comparison between the example 1 and the comparative examples 8 to 10, the invention adopts three solvents with boiling points for compounding, so that the solvents with different boiling points can realize gradient volatilization in the drying process, the phenomenon of primer edge deposition is effectively inhibited, the leveling and uniform of a paint film obtained by curing is improved, and the ideal effect cannot be achieved due to the lack of any solvent with boiling point gradient.
The applicant states that the present invention is illustrated by the above examples to show the water-based transparent epoxy primer and the preparation method and application thereof, but the present invention is not limited to the above examples, i.e. it does not mean that the present invention must be implemented by relying on the above examples. It should be understood by those skilled in the art that any modification of the present invention, equivalent substitutions of the raw materials of the product of the present invention, addition of auxiliary components, selection of specific modes, etc., are within the scope and disclosure of the present invention.
