Description

Method for removing fusarium wilt of bitter gourd seeds
Technical Field
The invention belongs to an agricultural seed treatment method, and particularly relates to a method for removing fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense from bitter gourd seeds.
Background
Bitter gourd Fusarium wilt is a typical soil-borne disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum bitter gourd specialization (sp. mordicae), and is also a seed-borne disease. Due to intensive production and continuous cropping for many years, the bitter gourd fusarium wilt quickly spreads in production areas, and becomes an important disease for restricting the development of the bitter gourd industry. At present, the bitter gourd fusarium wilt is mainly prevented and controlled by soil disinfection, grafting, biological prevention and control and the like, so that the possibility of infection of external fusarium wilt germs can be greatly reduced. However, these measures cannot effectively solve the problem that the seeds are self-infected, so that the occurrence of the wilt of bitter melons cannot be prevented.
The seed sterilization treatment is used as a key part in the field of crop protection, is mainly used for preventing and controlling spores or other structures generated by pathogens on the surfaces of seeds and killing pathogens infected in seeds, and has important significance for the health of the seeds and the normal growth and harvest of crops in the later period. The existing reports on seed germ control include: leather 3%, hymexazol, carbendazim etc. are thought to be effective in preventing and treating cucumber wilt in seedling stage; guodawei research shows that the 50% carbendazim wettable powder has a good effect on watermelon seed diseases; researches such as Zhang Qing Nu and the like show that the 0.01% acetic acid solution can greatly reduce canker carried by tomato seeds; the plum blossom plum considers that seeds treated by 25 percent of phenamacril SC and 24 percent of penflufen FS have good prevention and control effects on rice bakanae disease in the seedling stage; the Guolaying considers that 40% formalin 100 times liquid is used for soaking seeds for 20-30 minutes, and can prevent and treat tomato early blight, cucumber anthracnose, cucumber fusarium wilt and eggplant verticillium wilt. The prevention and treatment of the fusarium oxysporum f.sp.sp.cubense of the balsam pear seeds are not reported.
Hydrogen peroxide (H)2O2) Is a strong oxidant, and the water solution (commonly called hydrogen peroxide) of the strong oxidant is used for medical wound disinfection, environmental disinfection and food disinfection. In the agricultural field, hydrogen peroxide is mostly used for soaking seeds to improve the germination rate and the vitality of the seeds, for example, Yuanying discovers that hydrogen peroxide is used for soaking seeds for 16 hours in the 'influence of seed soaking time, germination accelerating temperature and medicament treatment on the germination of bitter gourd seeds', the germination rate and the germination potential are the highest, but hydrogen peroxide is not used for preventing and controlling bitter gourd blight bacteria.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide the bitter gourd seed fusarium wilt pathogen removal method which is simple to operate, low in cost and easy to popularize.
In order to solve the technical problems, the invention adopts the following technical scheme:
a method for removing wilt germs of bitter gourd seeds comprises soaking bitter gourd seeds in hydrogen peroxide before germination.
The method for removing the fusarium wilt of the bitter gourd seeds is operated according to the following steps:

As shown in figure 2, the bitter gourd seed fusarium wilt can be well removed by 4 treatments, such as 10% hydrogen peroxide soaking for 10min (treatment 2-2), 10% hydrogen peroxide soaking for 15min (treatment 2-3), 15% hydrogen peroxide soaking for 10min (treatment 3-2), 15% hydrogen peroxide soaking for 15min (treatment 3-3) and the like. As shown in table 2, the germination rates of the 4 treated seeds were 86.67%, 80.00%, and 67.78%, respectively, which were reduced by 1.11%, 7.78%, and 20.00% respectively from the control germination rate of 87.78%.
The sterilization effect and the germination condition are combined, 10% hydrogen peroxide is soaked for 10min to be the best treatment, so that the effect of removing fusarium wilt germs of the balsam pear seeds can be ensured, and the germination quality of the seeds can also be ensured.
In conclusion, the short-time soaking treatment with hydrogen peroxide in the invention has a good effect of removing blight bacteria on balsam pear seeds, but has no obvious damage to the seeds and does not influence the normal germination of the balsam pear seeds. The method is obviously different from the report that the germination rate and activity of seeds can be improved by long-term soaking in hydrogen peroxide.
