Description

背景技术
在多种不同的行业和应用中需要提供具有电绝缘性能的衬垫。然而,先前已知的具有电绝缘性能的衬垫存在许多限制。
例如,在一些情况下,这些衬垫的电绝缘性能对于给定的应用或行业来说不够高。这可能是因为用于提供电绝缘性能的材料不是高介电材料。
在一些情况下,具有电绝缘性能的衬垫仅限于低温应用,因为它们不能承受高温。在一个示例中,具有电绝缘性能的衬垫使用玻璃增强环氧树脂(GRE)。然而,GRE具有在250到350°F之间的最大玻璃化转变温度。当GRE衬垫暴露在高于该温度范围的温度下时,GRE变得柔软,像橡胶一样,随后GRE缺乏适当地支撑密封元件的强度,从而导致衬垫失效。此外,GRE通常通过使用粘合剂粘附在衬垫的芯上。这种粘合剂在高温和高压下可能失效,从而导致层离。
由于具有电绝缘性能的材料被添加到衬垫的芯以赋予电绝缘性能,许多包含该材料的衬垫具有更大的厚度。许多常用的绝缘材料的介电强度值在400到800伏特/密耳之间。因此,需要厚的衬垫来获得用于常用应用的足够的电压电阻。这些厚度较高的衬垫会限制衬垫的使用范围。
与先前已知的具有电绝缘性能的衬垫相关的其他问题包括结构复杂性,有限的尺寸稳定性,和有限的耐化学腐蚀性。因此,需要改进具有电绝缘性能的衬垫。
概述
本文描述了具有电绝缘性能的衬垫的多种实施例。在一些实施例中,衬垫包括芯衬垫部件,该芯衬垫部件的至少一个表面上具有介电材料的涂料或膜。在一些实施例中,所述涂料或膜包括聚酰亚胺,陶瓷,或氧化铝。在一些实施例中,涂料或膜形成在芯衬垫部件的所有表面上,包括在芯衬垫部件的轴向表面中/上形成的任何凹槽和/或突起的表面上。本文还描述了由涂料或膜完全封装的芯衬垫部件。

参考图1,示出了根据本文所述的多种实施例的具有改进的电绝缘性能的衬垫100。衬垫100通常包括芯衬垫部件110(也被称为护圈)和形成在芯衬垫部件110的至少一个表面上的介电涂料120(形成在芯衬垫部件110的至少顶部轴向表面上,如图1所示)。芯衬垫部件110可以包括形成在芯衬垫部件110的轴向表面中的一个或多个凹槽,每个凹槽具有布置在其中的密封元件130,140。

在一些实施例中,形成在芯衬垫部件110中的凹槽115用作密封凹槽。这些密封凹槽被配置为使得一个或多个密封元件可以被布置在密封凹槽115内。任何类型的密封元件都可以被布置在密封凹槽115中,包括例如E形环,C形环,O形环,和螺旋缠绕式密封。在一些实施例中,如图2A-2C所示,E形环130可被布置在径向外凹槽115中,唇形密封140可被布置在径向内凹槽115中。

在一些实施例中,例如在凹槽表面(或凸起特征表面)上的涂料厚度小于芯衬垫部件110的其他表面(轴向或径向)上的涂料厚度的情况下,介电涂料120的厚度可以变化。或者,在凹槽和/或凸起特征表面上的介电涂料的厚度可以大于芯衬垫部件110的其他表面上的介电涂料的厚度。介电涂料的厚度也可以因凹槽而异。
在一些实施例中,介电涂料120是聚酰亚胺,聚酰胺,陶瓷,或氧化铝,其中聚酰亚胺是优选材料。
在一些实施例中,衬垫100(包括任何涂料材料)不含玻璃增强环氧树脂(GRE)。
涂料120可使用任何已知的用于将涂料施加到基底上的技术施加到芯衬垫部件110上。在一些实施例中,涂料120以液体形式施加到芯衬垫部件110,然后固化以形成固化涂料。在一些实施例中,以持续的方式实施固化,这提高了制造过程的吞吐量并且使得该过程更经济可行。在一些实施例中,持续固化过程是使用持续红外过程或者通过将具有其中布置了液体涂料的芯衬垫部件持续地通过对流烘箱来实施的。在一些实施例中,不需要中间粘合剂或粘结层,直接将涂料120施加到芯衬垫部件110上。
将介电涂料120施加到芯衬垫部件110的所有表面,提供了与该衬垫一起使用的任何密封以及可以将衬垫布置在其间的金属法兰表面两者电绝缘的衬垫100。
在一些实施例中,本文所述的衬垫还可包括内径密封,例如美国公布的申请No.2015/0276105中所述的内径密封。也可以使用其他内径密封。
与先前已知的衬垫材料相比,本文所述的衬垫可以更薄,密封更好,提高电绝缘,和/或为防火衬垫提供更坚固可靠的平台。本文所述的衬垫材料也有利地消除了衬垫材料中对玻璃增强环氧树脂(GRE)的任何需要。本文所述的衬垫材料还提供稳定的材料厚度和公差控制。本文所述的衬垫材料扩大了产品的工作温度和电阻,并允许进入新的发展空间,例如蒸汽和核设施。本文所述的衬垫还扩展了压力能力。
本文所述的衬垫进一步提供了高介电强度,抗渗透性,紧公差能力,抗冲击性,强环保性,提高的耐化学腐蚀性,和简化的结构(即,整个衬垫的部件较少)。

Claims (20)

1.一种电绝缘衬垫,包括:

19.一种制造电绝缘衬垫的方法,包括:
用液态涂料涂覆盘形芯衬垫部件的每个表面;以及
持续地固化所述液态涂料,使所述液态涂料变硬,并将所述涂料固定到所述盘形衬垫部件上。
20.根据权利要求18所述的制造电绝缘衬垫的方法,其中持续地固化所述液态涂料包括将所述液态涂料持续地暴露在红外辐射下。
