Detailed Description
The core of the invention is to provide a server hardware monitoring method. In the prior art, there are generally two methods for avoiding: the first is realized by hardware, and the method needs to set hardware connection between the substrate controller and the chip for controlling the basic input/output system in advance. Because the method needs hardware support, the method is only suitable for new products, and can not realize compatibility for products which are already online; the second scheme is realized by adding fixed delay through the BMC. The method has poor flexibility, different initialization time of servers with different configurations, and effective delay time cannot be set.
The method for monitoring the server hardware firstly obtains the initialization completion notification through the baseboard management controller, wherein the initialization completion notification is the initialization completion notification sent to the baseboard management controller by the basic input output system after the initialization of the server hardware is completed. After the baseboard management controller acquires the initialization completion notification, the basic input/output system can complete the initialization process of the hardware in the server, so that a system start completion mark can be set, the baseboard management controller monitors the server hardware according to the system start completion mark, and the baseboard management controller monitors the server hardware after initializing the server hardware. The method can be completed only by means of software upgrading without setting different delay strategies according to each server and setting other hardware.
In order to better understand the aspects of the present invention, the present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and detailed description. It will be apparent that the described embodiments are only some, but not all, embodiments of the invention. All other embodiments, which can be made by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the invention without making any inventive effort, are intended to be within the scope of the invention.

Referring to fig. 1, in an embodiment of the present invention, a server hardware monitoring method includes:
s101: and acquiring an initialization completion notification through the baseboard management controller.
In the embodiment of the invention, the initialization completion notification is an initialization completion notification sent to the baseboard management controller by the basic input/output system after the initialization of the server hardware is completed. At power-on, a Basic Input Output System (BIOS) needs to initialize each hardware in the server. For the specific procedure of initialization, reference is made to the prior art, and no further description is given here. After all hardware initialization is completed, the bios sends an initialization completion notification to the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC).
Accordingly, in this step, the baseboard management controller will acquire the initialization completion notification. The specific content and specific format of the initialization completion notification are not specifically limited in the embodiment of the present invention, as the case may be. In the embodiment of the invention, the initialization completion notification can indicate that all the server hardware is initialized.
S102: after the baseboard management controller acquires the initialization completion notification, a system start completion flag is set.
After the baseboard management controller acquires the initialization completion notification, a system start completion flag is typically set in the memory of the baseboard management controller, so as to monitor each hardware in the server in a subsequent step. The specific content and specific format of the system boot completion flag are not specifically limited in the embodiment of the present invention, and are specific to the case. In the embodiment of the invention, the system start completion mark can trigger the baseboard management controller to monitor each hardware in the server in the subsequent steps.
S103: and monitoring the server hardware according to the system start completion mark by the baseboard management controller.
In this step, the baseboard management controller generally monitors each hardware in the server according to the system start-up completion flag set in S102, and obtains the state parameters of each hardware. The specific process of the baseboard management controller for monitoring the server hardware can refer to the prior art, and will not be described herein.
According to the method for monitoring the hardware of the server, the initialization completion notification is firstly acquired through the baseboard management controller, and the initialization completion notification is sent to the baseboard management controller after the initialization of the hardware of the server is completed by the basic input output system.

If not, the initialization of the server hardware needs to be waited for, and the following S203 needs to be executed accordingly.
S202: and setting a system start completion flag.
When the step is executed, the server is started, and a system start completion mark is correspondingly set in the step, so that hardware in the server is monitored according to the system start completion mark in the subsequent step.
S203: the system start-up completion flag is cleared.
When the step is executed, the server is not started, and the system starting completion mark remained when the last baseboard management controller monitors the hardware in the server is correspondingly cleared in the step, so that the baseboard management controller is prevented from monitoring the hardware in the server at the same time when the hardware in the server is initialized.
S204: and acquiring an initialization completion notification through the baseboard management controller.
S205: after the baseboard management controller acquires the initialization completion notification, a system start completion flag is set.
S206: and monitoring the server hardware according to the system start completion mark by the baseboard management controller.
