A foreign matter detection system for an airport pavement comprises a remote control unit and a patrol vehicle, wherein the patrol vehicle comprises a processor module I, a walking control module, a wheel driving motor, a CCD camera, a radar scanning detection mechanism and a wireless communication module A; the first processor module is respectively connected with the walking control module, the CCD camera, the radar scanning detection mechanism and the wireless communication module A; a storage battery pack for supplying power is arranged in the inspection vehicle; the walking control module is used for controlling the action of the wheel driving motor according to the control of the processor module I so as to control the walking route control of the inspection vehicle; the remote control unit comprises a wireless communication module B, a processor module II, a camera display module, an input module and a radar display module; and the processor module II is respectively connected with the wireless communication module B, the camera shooting display module, the input module and the radar display module. The system of claim 3, wherein the remote control unit further comprises an analysis alarm module, wherein the analysis alarm module stores a plurality of normal image photos and radar data of the airport runway, and is used for comparing the real-time image data and radar data received by the processor module II with the normal image data and radar data, and making a sound prompt when an abnormality is found.
