本发明的组合物进一步包含可消化的粘合剂。可消化的粘合剂可以是本领域已知的并且能够结合碳酸亚铁(II)和/或碱性金属盐颗粒以形成团聚颗粒的任何合适的可消化的粘合剂。这种可消化的粘合剂的实例包括淀粉,诸如玉米淀粉、马铃薯淀粉、大米淀粉及其改性衍生物。
基于该组合物的总重量,该组合物可包含的可消化的粘合剂的量为以按重量计至少1%(wt%),优选至少2wt%,更优选至少5wt%,甚至更优选至少8wt%,以及最优选至少10wt%,并且优选至多40wt%,更优选至多30wt%,甚至更优选至多25wt%,以及最优选至多20wt%。
本发明的组合物可进一步包含其他微量矿物质,诸如金属盐,包括基于铜、锌、锰、镁、钙、铁和钴的碱性金属盐,以及金属螯合物,碘和硒源。该组合物可进一步包含维生素。
碳酸亚铁(II)、可消化的粘合剂和任何其他组分的总和为组合物总重量的100wt%。
本发明的组合物包括动物饲料、动物饲料的预混料和饲料添加剂。因此,本发明进一步涉及包含本发明的组合物(优选本发明的团聚颗粒)的饲料添加剂。这种饲料添加剂可包含通常用于饲料添加剂中的其他成分。本发明的饲料添加剂可被施加和/或添加到动物饲料的预混料中、动物饲料中和/或饮用水中。其可用于保存预混料和/或饲料。还可将饲料添加剂用于改进动物的肠道健康。
本发明进一步涉及包含本发明的组合物(优选本发明的团聚颗粒)的动物饲料的预混料。本发明的预混料可包含通常在动物饲料的预混料中使用的其他成分。通常将本发明的预混料进一步加工并添加其他成分以形成动物饲料。因此,本发明还涉及包含本发明的组合物(优选本发明的团聚颗粒)的动物饲料。通常将动物饲料饲喂给动物。动物饲料通常包含动物营养素,诸如脂肪和/或蛋白质和/或碳水化合物,所述动物营养素被饲喂给动物以提供其代谢需求。动物饲料可以是营养完全的饲料(即提供所有所需营养素以支持动物的正常代谢)。类似的成分也包含在动物饲料的预混料中,然而其仅包含一部分所需营养素,并且需要与其他营养素混合或与这些其他营养素分开饲喂。
动物饲料中的碳酸亚铁(II)的量通常为至多300ppm,优选至多250ppm,以及最优选至多200ppm,并且优选至少80ppm,更优选至少100ppm,以及最优选至少125ppm。
可使用本领域已知的任何方法来制备本发明的组合物中使用的碳酸亚铁(II)。在一个实施方式中,在掺入到本发明的组合物中之前将碳酸亚铁(II)研磨至期望的粒度分布。可使用US 8,802,180中公开的技术来制备根据本发明的碳酸亚铁(II)的团聚颗粒。例如,可通过喷雾干燥包含碳酸亚铁(II)、可消化的粘合剂和溶剂(通常为水)的分散体来制备包含碳酸亚铁(II)的团聚颗粒。在一个实施方式中,本发明涉及制备本文所教导的组合物的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:
(a)任选地研磨碳酸亚铁(II);
(b)使碳酸亚铁(II)、可消化的粘合剂和溶剂接触以形成分散体;以及
(c)喷雾干燥分散体以获得可消化的团聚颗粒。
在本发明的一个实施方式中,本发明的组合物进一步包含碱性金属盐。碱性金属盐可由式M(OH)yX(2-y)/2定义,其中M为金属阳离子,X为阴离子或阴离子基团,并且y为1-3,这取决于阴离子X的化合价。金属阳离子M可以是本领域已知的任何金属离子。这种金属离子的实例包括铜、锌、锰、铁、钴和镁。阴离子X的实例包括氯离子、碳酸根、磷酸根和硫酸根,优选阴离子X为氯离子。在本发明的组合物中,优选的碱性铜盐为碱性氯化铜,特别是绿铜矿和斜绿铜矿(clinoatacamite)。最优选的是绿铜矿和斜绿铜矿的混合物。优选的碱性锌盐是碱性氯化锌,特别是氯水锌矿(Simonkoellite)。优选的碱性锰盐是碱性氯化锰,特别是氯羟锰矿(Kempite)。可在US 8,802,180、WO 00/32206和US 5,451,414(其由此通过引用并入)中找到制备上述碱性金属盐的方法。可用于本文所教导的组合物中的示例性碱性金属盐包括但不限于氧氯化铜(dicopper chloride trihydroxide,Cu2(OH)3Cl)、羟基氯化锰(Mn2(OH)3Cl)和羟基氯化锌(“氯化锌氢氧化物一水合物(Zinc chloride hydroxidemonohydrate)”;Zn5(OH)8Cl2·H2O)。
动物饲料中碱性金属盐的(总)量通常为至多1000ppm,优选至多700ppm,以及最优选至多500ppm,并且优选至少1ppm,更优选至少5ppm,以及最优选至少10ppm。
当碱性金属盐为碱性铜盐,诸如氧氯化铜(Cu2(OH)3Cl)时,动物饲料中的碱性铜盐的量通常为至多300ppm,优选至多250ppm,以及优选至多200ppm,并且优选至少80ppm,更优选至少100ppm,以及最优选至少125ppm。
当碱性金属盐为碱性锌盐,诸如羟基氯化锌(“氯化锌氢氧物一水合物”;Zn5(OH)8Cl2·H2O)时,动物饲料中的碱性锌盐的量通常为至多100ppm,优选至多90ppm,以及最优选至多80ppm,并且优选至少1ppm,更优选至少5ppm,以及最优选至少10ppm。

本发明进一步涉及本发明的组合物在饲喂有缺陷(challenged)的单胃动物(特别是家禽和猪)中的用途。在一个方面,本发明涉及通过向动物提供包含本发明的组合物的动物饲料来饲喂有缺陷的单胃动物(特别是家禽和/或猪)的方法。术语“有缺陷的”或“有缺陷的动物”意指患有疾病的动物或健康、血红蛋白水平或血细胞比容水平受损的动物。
本发明进一步涉及本发明的组合物在饲喂反刍动物(特别是母牛)中的用途。在一个方面,本发明涉及通过向动物提供包含本发明的组合物的动物饲料来饲喂反刍动物(特别是母牛)的方法。
本发明进一步涉及本发明的组合物在饲喂有缺陷的反刍动物(特别是母牛)中的用途。在一个方面,本发明涉及通过向动物提供包含本发明的组合物的动物饲料来饲喂有缺陷的反刍动物(特别是母牛)的方法。
本发明的组合物通常适合于在其一生的大部分时间或其一生中饲喂单胃动物。微量矿物质组合物的水平可随动物的年龄而变化。可用具有比年龄较大时更高的量的铁的微量矿物质组合物饲喂动物一定的时期,例如出生后的前20至30周。因此,本公开还涉及包含碳酸亚铁(II)和可消化的粘合剂的第二组合物,其中与适合于年龄较大的动物的组合物相比,碳酸亚铁(II)的水平处于更高水平。该组合物可以特别适合用于单胃动物(例如猪和家禽)的饲料。
通过以下实施例说明本发明。
实施例
实施例1
进行实验以确定微量矿物质水平和来源对肉鸡的血红蛋白、血细胞比容和性能的影响。通过共截距多元线性回归(斜率)法(Aoyagi S&Baker DH.Nutritional evaluationof a copper-methionine complex for chicks.Poult Sci.1993;72:2309-15)来测定铁的生物利用度。在开始的7天里,给雏鸡饲喂基于葡萄糖、玉米淀粉和酪蛋白的半纯饮食(见表1),但玉米水平低,以促进食物摄入。计算出的铁浓度为25ppm,并进行适应期以耗尽通过鸡蛋吸收的铁储存。
从第7天开始,向雏鸡提供含有如下表所列的添加到基础饮食中的三种铁源的实验饮食。三种铁源是商业级硫酸亚铁(FeSO4)(比较例A)、菱铁矿(比较例B)以及淀粉和碳酸亚铁(II)的微晶的团聚颗粒(实施例1;根据本发明)(参见表2)。可通过将菱铁矿研磨至低于5μm的d90值,随后将磨碎的碳酸亚铁(II)、淀粉和水混合,并喷雾干燥分散体,来制备团聚颗粒。所得的团聚颗粒具有190mm的平均粒度;基于团聚颗粒的总重量,碳酸亚铁(II)的含量为36.94wt%。

在Petersime层架式鸡舍中饲养禽类,与禽类接触的所有金属(饲喂器、饮水器、活动网底(raised wire floor))均为不锈钢。水为去离子的。
统计分析:将血红蛋白、血细胞比容和性能数据针对每种来源的膳食铁水平进行回归,以获得线性剂量响应关系,并根据斜率与FeSO4的斜率的比率计算生物利用度。还以4来源x 4水平因子排列设计对数据(不包括基础处理)进行了分析。使用0ppm、15ppm和25ppm的添加水平计算斜率。

当比较商业硫酸亚铁(比较例A)与含碳酸亚铁(II)的团聚颗粒(实施例1)的生物利用度时,显示出实施例1的颗粒具有较高的生物利用度(136%)(参见表2)。
Claims (8)
1.一种组合物,所述组合物包含碳酸亚铁(II)和可消化的粘合剂,其中所述组合物包含碳酸亚铁(II)的晶体,所述晶体与所述可消化的粘合剂团聚以形成可消化的团聚颗粒。
2.根据权利要求1所述的组合物,进一步包含碱性金属盐。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的组合物,其中所述晶体的尺寸为0.1μm至20μm,并且所述可消化的团聚颗粒的尺寸为50μm至300μm。
4.一种动物饲料,其包含前述权利要求中任一项所述的组合物。
5.根据权利要求4所述的动物饲料,其中所述碳酸亚铁(II)以至多100ppm,优选10ppm至80ppm之间的量存在。
6.一种动物饲料的预混料,其包含权利要求1至3中任一项所述的组合物。
7.一种饲料添加剂,其包含权利要求1至3中任一项所述的组合物。
8.一种制备根据权利要求1至3中任一项所述的组合物的方法,所述方法包括以下步骤:
(a)任选地研磨碳酸亚铁(II);
(b)使碳酸亚铁(II)、可消化的粘合剂和溶剂接触以形成分散体;以及
(c)喷雾干燥所述分散体以获得所述可消化的团聚颗粒。
