Background

Mascara, which is one of cosmetics used by women to give beauty to the eyes, applies mascara solution of various colors to eyelashes.

Generally, mascara comprises: a container for receiving mascara; a handle for opening and closing the container; a rod-shaped brush rod protruding toward a lower portion of the handle; and a brush formed at the brush bar, wherein mascara solution is applied to the brush for use by coupling or decoupling the handle and the container.

The mascara brush, which is generally used, is made to be suitable for various functions, such as making eyelash voluminous (volume): having an effect of making eyelash look thick), curling (curl): having an effect of curling the end of eyelash upward), lengthening (lengthening lash): having an effect of lengthening eyelash length), or clear (clear): preventing eyelash from lumping, etc., according to the length and shape of bristles.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings so that those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains can easily carry out the description. The invention is not limited to the embodiments described but can be implemented in numerous different ways. In order to clearly explain the present invention in the drawings, portions that are not related to the description are omitted, and like reference numerals are given to like portions throughout the specification.

When a certain component is referred to as being "included" in a certain portion throughout the specification, unless the contrary is explicitly stated, the component may include other components, but does not exclude other components. In addition, throughout the specification, the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals.

Referring to fig. 1, a mascara according to an embodiment of the present invention may generally include: an upper structure 10 for accommodating a brush bar; and a lower structure 20 for containing mascara solution.

The upper structural body 10 of the present invention may include: a handle portion 11 that provides a space that a user can grip; a sealing part 12 which can connect and separate the upper structure 10 and the lower structure 20, and prevents the mascara solution contained in the lower structure 20 from leaking outside in a state that the upper structure 10 and the lower structure 20 are connected; a brush bar 13; and a concavo-convex portion 14 provided at one end of the brush bar 13 and impregnated in mascara solution 30.

The surfaces of the brush rod 13 and the uneven portion 14 of the present invention may be made of metal.

Specifically, the brush rod 13 and the concavo-convex portion 14 may be entirely composed of metal, so that the surface is provided as metal; or the inner part of the metal tube is made of synthetic metal, and the outer peripheral surface of the metal tube is provided with a metal coating, so that the surface of the metal tube is made of metal; alternatively, the inner portion may be made of metal, and the outer peripheral surface may be provided with another metal coating layer so that the surface is made of metal.

Therefore, there is no possibility that the user pricks the eyes with the brush at the tip of the brush stick, and mascara solution can be applied from the root of the eyelashes using the mascara according to the present invention.

The lower structure 20 of the present invention may include: a scraping member 21 for scraping off the content stuck to the concave-convex portion 14 of the brush bar 13; a shoulder 23 fixed to the wiper 21; and a mascara solution receiving portion 25 for receiving mascara solution 30.

In the present invention, the shoulder 23 may be one or more selected from 5 groups consisting of polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), Styrene Acrylonitrile (AS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG), polycyclohexylene dimethyl terephthalate (PCTA), and nylon. Preferably Polypropylene (PP) or Polyethylene (PE) for easier fastening of the wiper. Polypropylene and polyethylene have good hot-tack properties, and thus sealability and productivity are improved. In addition, the flexibility is high, and the sealing performance is excellent when the cover is locked.

Referring to fig. 2, the sectional surface of the concavo-convex part 14 of mascara in one embodiment may be circular and may be spirally (helicoidally) provided on the outer circumferential surface of the brush stick 13.

The brush bar 13 of the present invention may have a sectional diameter D of 1.5mm to 7mm, and more preferably, 3mm to 4 mm.

When the cross-sectional diameter D of the brush rod 13 is less than 1.5mm, the size of the uneven portion 14 itself is too small to easily accommodate mascara 30 and user's eyelashes, so that the normal function as mascara cannot be exerted, and when it exceeds 7mm, the size of the uneven portion 14 is too large to cause a problem of lumping of user's eyelashes.

The difference between the height of the highest point and the height of the lowest point (hereinafter, referred to as "concavo-convex height H") of the concavo-convex portion 14 of the present invention may be 0.1mm to 3.5mm, more preferably, 0.3mm to 0.5 mm.

When the height H of the uneven portion is less than 0.1mm, the eyelashes of the user cannot be positioned between the uneven portions 14 and move between the uneven portions 14, so that it is not easy to apply the mascara solution 30 to the eyelashes of the user, and when the height H of the uneven portion exceeds 3.5mm, the user applies the mascara solution 30 to the root of the eyelashes, which may injure the eyes.

When the concavo-convex part pitch P is less than 0.1mm, the distance between the concavo-convex parts 14 is too narrow, eyelashes of a user cannot be settled, mascara solution 30 is not easily applied to the eyelashes of the user, and when the concavo-convex part pitch P exceeds 5mm, the distance between the concavo-convex parts 14 is too wide, and thus the problem of eyelash agglomeration of the user may occur.

In the case where both sides of the cross section of the concave-convex portion 14 of the present invention may be provided with inclined portions, an angle (hereinafter, referred to as "inclined portion angle θ") formed by the right-side inclined portion of the first concave-convex portion and the left-side inclined portion of the second concave-convex portion on the right side of the first concave-convex portion may be 30 ° to 70 °, and more preferably, may be 40 ° to 60 °.

When the height H of the uneven portion is less than 0.1mm, the eyelashes of the user cannot be positioned between the uneven portions 14 and move between the uneven portions 14, so that it is not easy to apply the mascara solution 30 to the eyelashes of the user, and when the height H of the uneven portion exceeds 3.5mm, the user applies the mascara solution 30 to the root of the eyelashes, which may cause injury to the eyes.
