专利文献1中公开的显示装置使用透明有机EL(Electro Luminescence)面板构成。另一方面,在显示装置中使用液晶面板时,为了在显示画面内设置摄像装置,需要在显示装置所具有的背光装置上形成光透射用的间隙。

由此,从前面板50侧观察显示装置1时,背光装置20可以使摄像装置10的壳体11的外周部不可见。摄像部12从间隙SP1接收来自显示装置1外部的光,并且生成与接收该光而得到的摄像结果相应的图像数据。
背光装置20向液晶面板30照射图像显示所需要的含有红色、绿色以及蓝色的三色的波长的光。例如举例设有多个白色LED(Light Emitting Diode)等的白色光源作为背光装置20。在背光装置20的里面侧设有摄像装置10,并且在背光装置20的表面侧设有液晶面板30。
遮光带ST被夹持在背光装置20和第一偏振板31之间。遮光带ST沿着背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部设置,并且覆盖背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部。由此,从背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部发射的光可以被遮光带ST遮挡,从而可以防止显示装置1的画质下降。
液晶面板30层叠在背光装置20上,并设置在背光装置20和粘合层40之间。液晶面板30包含有第一偏振板31、液晶面板玻璃部32以及第二偏振板33。第一偏振板31和第二偏振板33使从背光装置20照射的光偏振。第一偏振板31设置在背光装置20的表面侧,并且第二偏振板33设置在粘合层40的里面侧。也就是说,第二偏光板33设置在液晶面板玻璃部32的设置有第一偏光板31一侧的相反侧。此外,第一偏振板31设置在背光装置20与TFT(ThinFilm Transistor)侧玻璃基座32T之间,第二偏振板33设置在彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F与粘合层40之间。
液晶面板玻璃部32被夹持在第一偏振板31和第二偏振板33之间,并且具有TFT侧玻璃基座32T、液晶分子层32C、黑色掩模层BM以及彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F。
在TFT侧玻璃基座32T有多个TFT以矩阵状形成。TFT侧玻璃基座32T设置在第一偏振板31和液晶分子层32C之间。此外,由于TFT侧玻璃基座32T是用于显示装置1的显示画面的部件,因此具有透光性的区域。
液晶分子层32C中包含从单元间隙的其中一侧连接到另一侧的液晶分子的列,并且设置在TFT侧玻璃基座32T和彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F之间。液晶分子层32C也可以构成为包含不设置使该液晶分子的取向方向发生变化的像素电极E1(在图中,本来像素电极E1形成在每一个像素,但是为了方便表现为连续的形状)以及对向电极E2的区域32CR。也就是说,像素电极E1以及对向电极E2也可以构成为设置在液晶分子层32C中的区域32CR以外的区域。
此外,像素电极E1设置在TFT侧玻璃基座32T上,对向电极E2设置在彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F上,并且所述液晶分子设置在上侧的对向电极E2和下侧的像素电极E1之间。像素电极E1以及对向电极E2是透明电极。
区域32CR是液晶分子层32C中位于摄像装置10的视角范围R1内的区域。此外,如图1所示,区域32CR也可以是相较于液晶分子层32C中的视角范围R1更宽的区域。所述液晶分子可以设置在区域32CR中,也可以不设置在区域32CR中。也就是说,可以在区域32CR内只设置玻璃。
由此,避开位于摄像装置10的视角范围R1内的部分,设置有用于使液晶分子层32C的液晶分子的取向方向发生变化的像素电极E1以及对向电极E2。由此,无需液晶面板玻璃部32设置间隙,可以使来自显示装置1外部的光不衰减地入射到摄像装置10。由此,由于没有必要在液晶面板玻璃部32上设置间隙,因此可以削减显示装置1的制造成本。
黑色掩模层BM被夹持在TFT侧玻璃基座32T和液晶分子层32C之间。黑色掩模层BM沿着背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部以及第一偏振板31的间隙SP1侧的端部设置,并覆盖这些端部。黑色掩模层BM用于在从前面板50侧观察显示装置1时,使得背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部以及第一偏振板31的间隙SP1侧端部不可见。此外,黑色掩模层BM用于遮挡从背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部出射的光。
由此,在从前面板50侧观察显示装置1时,背光装置20的间隙SP1侧的端部以及第一偏振板31的间隙SP1侧的端部由黑色掩模层BM隐蔽。由此,可以提高显示装置1的设计性。彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F被夹持在液晶分子层32C和第二偏振板33之间。
此外,如图2所示,黑色掩模层BM以覆盖电气配线T1、T2的方式形成。由此,在从显示画面D1侧观察显示装置1时,电气配线T1、T2由黑色掩模层BM隐蔽。显示画面D1的外沿的一边上形成有间隙SP1。间隙SP1的内侧设置有摄像部12。
电气配线T1设置在TFT侧玻璃基座32T上,并且沿着显示画面D1的外沿的一边、以及间隙SP1设置。在相比电气配线T1更接近显示画面D1的中央处,电气配线T2与显示画面D1的外沿的一边平行地设置。电气配线T2设置在TFT侧玻璃基座32T上。
粘合层40可以是例如光学透明粘合剂(OCA:Optical Clear Adhesive)。由此,从背光装置20出射的光通过粘合层40,并且从前面板50出射。粘合层40设置在第二偏振板33和前面板50之间。也就是说,粘合层40设置在第二偏振板33的设置有液晶面板玻璃部32一侧的相反侧。粘合层40用于使第二偏振板33和前面板50粘合。前面板50设置在粘合层40的表面侧。
印刷层PL设置在粘合层40和前面板50之间。也就是说,印刷层PL设置在粘合层40的设置有第二偏光板33一侧的相反侧。印刷层PL沿着第二偏振板33的间隙SP1侧的端部以及粘合层40的间隙SP1侧的端部设置,并覆盖这些端部。印刷层PL用于在从前面板50侧观察显示装置1时,使得第二偏振板33的间隙SP1侧的端部以及粘合层40的间隙SP1侧端部不可见。
由此,在从前面板50侧观察显示装置1时,第二偏振板33的间隙SP1侧的端部以及粘合层40的间隙SP1侧的端部由印刷层PL隐蔽。由此,可以提高显示装置1的设计性。
此外,为使来自显示装置1的外部的光入射到摄像装置10内,在背光装置20、第一偏振板31、第二偏振板33以及粘合层40上分别形成光透射用的间隙SP1。由此,摄像装置10的视角范围R1内,不存在背光装置20、第一偏振板31、第二偏振板33以及粘合层40。
由于粘合层40是柔性的,在粘合层40上没有形成间隙SP1的情况下,粘合层40和第二偏振板33之间产生段差。当在粘合层40和第二偏振板33之间产生段差时,显示装置1的画质下降。由此,为使粘合层40和第二偏振板33之间不产生段差,优选也在粘合层40上形成间隙SP1。
如上所述,摄像装置10设置在背光装置20的设置有液晶面板30一侧的相反侧,并且在第一偏振板31、第二偏振板33以及背光装置20分别形成由光透射用的间隙SP1。由此,在摄像装置10具备摄像部12的情况下,从前面板50侧观察显示装置1时,摄像装置10中相比摄像部12更为外侧的部分由背光装置20隐蔽。
由此,例如,以覆盖背光装置20的设置有液晶面板30侧中的间隙SP1的外周部的方式设置印刷层PL时,印刷层PL的尺寸可以缩小到与摄像装置10中被背光装置20隐蔽部分的相应的大小。由此,维持摄像装置10的性能的同时,使显示装置1的设计性提高,并且可以通过缩小印刷层PL的尺寸的部分来扩大显示装置1的显示区域。
(第二实施方式)
图3是示出本发明的第二实施方式所涉及的显示装置1A的剖面构成的剖面图。此外,为了便于说明,对与在所述实施方式中说明的构件具有相同功能的构件,标注相同的附图标记,并不再重复说明。
如图3所示,显示装置1A与显示装置1相比,不同点在于液晶面板30变更为液晶面板30A。液晶面板30A中包含有第一偏振板31、液晶面板玻璃部32A以及第二偏振板33。液晶面板玻璃部32A中包含TFT侧玻璃基座32T、液晶分子层32CA、以及彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F。
液晶分子层32CA与液晶分子层32C相比,不同点在于不包含区域32CR,并且形成间隙SP1。也就是说,在液晶分子层32CA中不包含区域32CR,取而代之地形成有间隙SP1。通过在液晶分子层32CA中形成间隙SP1,摄像装置10的视角范围R1内不存在液晶分子层32CA。由此,并且可以使来自显示装置1A外部的光不衰减地入射到摄像装置10。
此外,如图3所示,在TFT侧玻璃基座32T以及彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F上,既可以形成有间隙SP1,也可以不形成有间隙SP1。也就是说,TFT侧玻璃基座32T以及彩色滤光片侧玻璃基座32F可以存在于视角范围R1内。
(总结)
本发明的第一方面所涉及的显示装置,具有背光装置、层叠在所述背光装置上的液晶面板,其中,所述液晶面板构成为包括第一偏振板、第二偏振板、被夹持在所述第一偏振板和所述第二偏振板之间的液晶面板玻璃部,在所述第一偏振板、所述第二偏振板以及所述背光装置上分别形成有光透射用的间隙,使得来自所述显示装置的外部的光入射到摄像装置中,其中所述摄像装置设置在所述背光装置的设置有所述液晶面板一侧的相反侧。
本发明的第二方面所涉及的显示装置,在上述的第一方面中,在所述液晶面板玻璃部上,避开位于所述摄像装置的视角范围内的部分,设置有用于使所述液晶面板玻璃部的液晶分子的取向方向发生变化的电极。
本发明的第三方面所涉及的显示装置,在上述的第一或者第二方面中,所述第一偏振板设置在所述液晶面板玻璃部和所述背光装置之间;所述第二偏振板设置在所述液晶面板玻璃部的设置有所述第一偏振板一侧的相反侧,所述显示装置还具有:粘合层,其设置在所述第二偏振板的设置有所述液晶面板玻璃部一侧的相反侧;印刷层,其设置在所述粘合层的设置有所述第二偏振板一侧的相反侧,所述印刷层沿着第二偏振板的间隙侧的端部以及所述粘合层的间隙侧的端部设置,并覆盖这些端部。
本发明的第四方面所涉及的显示装置,在上述的第三方面中,所述液晶面板玻璃部还具有:TFT(Thin Film Transistor)侧玻璃基座;液晶分子层;黑色掩模层,其被夹持在所述TFT侧玻璃基座和所述液晶分子层之间,所述黑色掩模层沿着所述背光装置的间隙侧的端部以及所述第一偏振板的间隙侧的端部设置,并覆盖这些端部。
本发明的第五方面所涉及的显示装置,在上述的第三或者第四方面中,还具有遮光带,其夹持在所述背光装置和所述第一偏光板之间,所述遮光带沿着所述背光装置的间隙侧的端部设置,并覆盖所述背光装置的间隙侧的端部。
本发明不限于上述各实施方式,能在权利要求所示的范围中进行各种变更,将在不同的实施方式中分别公开的技术手段适当组合而得到的实施方式也包含于本发明的技术范围。而且,能够通过组合各实施方式分别公开的技术方法来形成新的技术特征。

Claims (5)

1.一种显示装置,具有背光装置、层叠在所述背光装置上的液晶面板,所述显示装置的特征在于:
所述液晶面板构成为包括第一偏振板、第二偏振板、被夹持在所述第一偏振板和所述第二偏振板之间的液晶面板玻璃部,
在所述第一偏振板、所述第二偏振板以及所述背光装置上分别形成有光透射用的间隙,使得来自所述显示装置的外部的光入射到摄像装置中,其中所述摄像装置设置在所述背光装置的设置有所述液晶面板一侧的相反侧。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其特征在于:
在所述液晶面板玻璃部上,避开位于所述摄像装置的视角范围内的部分,设置有用于使所述液晶面板玻璃部的液晶分子的取向方向发生变化的电极。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的显示装置,其特征在于:
所述第一偏振板设置在所述液晶面板玻璃部和所述背光装置之间;所述第二偏振板设置在所述液晶面板玻璃部的设置有所述第一偏振板一侧的相反侧,
所述显示装置还具有:粘合层,其设置在所述第二偏振板的设置有所述液晶面板玻璃部一侧的相反侧;
印刷层,其设置在所述粘合层的设置有所述第二偏振板一侧的相反侧,所述印刷层沿着第二偏振板的间隙侧的端部以及所述粘合层的间隙侧的端部设置,并覆盖这些端部。
4.根据权利要求3所述的显示装置,其特征在于:
所述液晶面板玻璃部还具有:
TFT侧玻璃基座;
液晶分子层;
黑色掩模层,其被夹持在所述TFT侧玻璃基座和所述液晶分子层之间,
所述黑色掩模层沿着所述背光装置的间隙侧的端部以及所述第一偏振板的间隙侧的端部设置,并覆盖这些端部。
5.根据权利要求3或4所述的显示装置,其特征在于:
还具有遮光带,其夹持在所述背光装置和所述第一偏光板之间,
所述遮光带沿着所述背光装置的间隙侧的端部设置,并覆盖所述背光装置的间隙侧的端部。
