Description

Rope for use as elevator traction rope
Technical Field
The invention relates to a cable for use as a traction rope in an elevator, which cable runs on a traction sheave with a circular groove, wherein the cable comprises a steel wire rope core (1) surrounded by a plurality of steel wire outer strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4), which steel wire outer strands are arranged alternately with steel wire outer strands (2) without a plastic jacket.
Background
In a cable of the type described in EP 0111797 a1, the steel wire outer strands with the plastic jacket have a radial protrusion distance with respect to the steel wire outer strands without the plastic jacket, as ina0.6 mm. The plastic jacket serves to protect and shield the cable, to cushion it or to protect it from corrosion. According to the illustration of EP 0111797A 1, steel provided with a plastic jacketThe outer wire strands have a smaller metal cross section than the outer wire strands without the plastic jacket. According to page 6, paragraph 1 of said document, "smaller" steel wire outer strands provided with a plastic jacket only fill the interstices and should not have a load-bearing function.
EP 1516845 a1 discloses a cable with a steel cord core surrounded by a plurality of outer steel wire strands, wherein all outer steel wire strands are provided with a plastic jacket.
From DE 202011109156U 1 a rope for use as a traction rope in an elevator is known, which rope runs on a traction sheave with a circular groove, wherein the rope comprises a steel core surrounded by a plurality of outer steel wire strands. At least one of the outer steel wire strands is provided with a plastic jacket, which may for example consist of an extruded layer of PVC, polyamide, polypropylene, polyethylene, polyurethane and/or rubber. This known solution aims at maintaining the original friction and lubrication conditions generated at the manufacture of the cable, which does not have to be lubricated anymore by applying a lubricant applied firmly, for the life of the cable.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a rope for an elevator traction sheave provided with a circular groove, in which the performance of the rope should be improved and on the other hand the service life of the rope should also be increased.
This object is achieved by a cable as described in patent claim 1.
It has been verified that with the cable of the invention the coefficient of friction f (μ) achievable with a traction sheave having a circular groove is between 0.15 and 0.3.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer steel wire strands provided with a plastic jacket and the outer steel wire strands without a plastic jacket may be arranged helically as the outer layer of the cable.
Advantageously, the steel wire outer strand provided with the plastic jacket (including the plastic jacket) has a radial protrusion distance of 0.1mm to 3.0mm with respect to the steel wire outer strand without the plastic jacketaPreference is given toa0.2mm to 0.8 mm. Steel provided with plastic jacketThe outer strands of filaments are load bearing.
The plastic casing consists of a thermoplastic material selected from the group of polypropylene, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride, polyether-polyurethane or polyamide.
The invention comprises the following scheme:
solution 1. a rope for use as a traction rope in an elevator, which rope runs on a traction sheave having a circular groove, wherein the rope comprises a steel rope core (1) surrounded by a plurality of steel wire outer strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4), which steel wire outer strands are arranged alternately with steel wire outer strands (2) without a plastic jacket,
it is characterized in that the preparation method is characterized in that,
in order to compensate for strand strength in the outer steel wire strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4) and formed from a metal cross section that is smaller than the outer steel wire strands (2), the individual wires (3a) of the outer steel wire strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4) have a higher strength than the individual wires (3) of the outer steel wire strands (2) not provided with a plastic jacket.
Solution 2. a cable as claimed in solution 1, characterized in that the steel wire outer strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4) and the steel wire outer strands (2) without a plastic jacket (4) are arranged helically as the outer layer of the cable.
Solution 3. Cable according to solution 1 or 2, wherein the steel wire outer strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4), including the plastic jacket (4), have a radial protrusion distance of 0.1mm to 3.0mm with respect to the steel wire outer strands (2) without a plastic jacketa
Solution 4. a cable as claimed in solution 3, characterized in that the steel wire outer strands (2a) provided with a plastic jacket (4), including the plastic jacket (4), have a radial protrusion distance of 0.2mm to 0.8mm with respect to the steel wire outer strands (2) without a plastic jacketa
Solution 5. cable according to one of solutions 1 to 4, characterized in that the plastic constituting the plastic jacket (4) consists of a thermoplastic material selected from the group of polypropylene, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride, polyether-polyurethane or polyamide.
The rope according to the invention as described in one of the solutions 1 to 5 can also be used for traction sheaves formed with friction grooves having circular grooves with undercuts, wedges or wedges with undercuts.
Drawings
The invention is described below with the aid of the accompanying drawings:
fig. 1 shows a known cable in cross-section, said cable having a steel wire rope core surrounded by a plurality of steel wire outer strands;
figure 2 shows a cross-section of a cable as subject of the invention.
Detailed Description
The known rope, in particular a traction rope for an elevator, shown in fig. 1 comprises a steel rope core 1 surrounded by a plurality of steel wire outer strands. Each outer strand of wire consists of a number of individual wires.
In the case of the cable of the invention shown in fig. 2, the wire rope core 1 is surrounded by, for example, twelve steel outer strands. Six of the twelve steel wire outer strands 2a are provided with plastic jackets 4, wherein the steel wire outer strands 2a provided with the plastic jackets 4 alternate with the steel wire outer strands 2 without plastic jackets.
The steel wire outer strand 2a provided with the plastic jacket 4 (including the plastic jacket) has a radial protrusion distance of 0.1mm to 3.0mm with respect to the steel wire outer strand 2 without the plastic jacketaPreference is given toa0.2mm to 0.8 mm.
In order to compensate for the small metal cross section, as can be seen in fig. 2, in relation to the strand strength in the case of steel outer strands 2a provided with a plastic jacket 4, for these steel outer strands 2a provided with a plastic jacket 4, a single steel wire 3a is used which has a higher strength than the single steel wire 3 of the steel outer strand 2 without a plastic jacket.
