本发明一般涉及确定牲畜(livestock)健康的系统和方法,更具体而言,涉及用于异常健康状况的数据收集和检测的牲畜健康监控系统。
背景技术
确定牲畜健康的系统和方法在现有技术中是众所周知的,并且是在牲畜中检测疾病和实施治疗的有效手段。例如,图1描述了一种传统牲畜监控系统101的简化示意图,该牲畜监控系统101具有监视多个牲畜103并且与兽医104通信的牲畜管理者102。如图2所示,流程图201描述了系统101的处理的示例。牲畜管理者102经由目视检查来监控牲畜103。当作为疾病的指示发生牲畜的不寻常行为时,牲畜管理者102联系兽医104,然后该兽医104相应地做出预后并且开始治疗,如框203-206所示。

16.根据权利要求8所述的系统,所述通知设备具有:
发射器,被配置为与便携式计算机无线通信;
其中所述便携式计算机被配置为确定动物是否到达所选取的温度阈值达到所选取的持续时间。
17.根据权利要求16所述的系统,还包括:
与所述计算机通信的数据库;
其中所述数据库被配置为存储来自所述通知设备的数据。
18.一种确定动物的健康的方法,包括:
将温度探针放置在所述动物的耳部内,所述温度探针包含能够在到达特定温度时改变硬度的材料;
将所述温度探针固定到所述动物的所述耳部;
选取温度阈值;
选取所述动物到达所述温度阈值的持续时间;
通过固定到所述动物的所述耳部的计算机,确定所述温度探针是否已经测量到了到达所选取的温度阈值达到所选取的持续时间的温度;并且
如果经由所述温度探针测量的所述动物的温度到达所选取的温度阈值达到所选取的持续时间,则利用通知设备通知工作人员。
19.根据权利要求18所述的方法,还包括:
如果测量的温度到达所选取的温度阈值达到所选取的持续时间,则提供可视通知。
20.根据权利要求18所述的方法,还包括:
将测量的温度传送到便携式计算机。
