Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于蒸汽发生装置的可汽化材料。使可汽化材料如含有烟草的可汽化材料加热而不是燃烧以产生吸入蒸汽的装置正变得流行。其通常包括由气体或电力供给能量的热源和用于接收含有蒸汽发生产品的可汽化材料的腔室。在使用中,将材料插入装置中并通过热源加热,以产生用于吸入的蒸汽。这样的装置的例子可以参见PCT公开WO2009/079641。
背景技术
这样的装置以及在其中使用的材料已经变得流行,其原因是其可以给使用者提供非常类似于吸食可汽化材料的体验,而无需燃烧植物材料如烟草。

具体实施方式
如本文所用,术语“水分含量”指给定材料(例如可汽化材料,包括植物材料如烟草)中的水分(即水)量。
如本文所用,术语“可汽化”具有其在本领域中的通常含义,指能够在加热时从固态或液态转化为气态的材料。
水分含量是可汽化材料并且特别是植物材料如烟草的化学组成的重要参数。可汽化材料的水分含量和可汽化材料的组分可能会影响到材料的各种性质,包括:
·粒径减小的容易性,越干燥的材料越容易磨成细粉末;
·纹理和密度,越湿润的材料密度越高并且越粘;和
·加热时蒸气产生的效率,因为水分含量影响可汽化材料和/或其组分达到期望的汽化温度所需的时间和能量。
另外,本发明人已观察到,如果可汽化材料的烟草组分的水分含量升高,则蒸汽发生装置的衔口(mouthpiece)部分变热。这被认为是由于蒸汽中含有的水倾向于将热从烘炉或热源传递至衔口。
本发明人还观察到,减少可汽化材料的烟草组分的水分含量能够影响可汽化材料在其被使用者吸入时的口味和/或味道。如果水分含量太低,那么烟草的口味和/或味道就会变涩且让人感觉不愉快。
因此,本发明提供一种适合用于蒸汽发生装置的可汽化材料,该可汽化材料包含水分含量为约3至5wt%的烟草。优选地,该烟草具有约4wt%的水分含量。为免生歧义,这些wt%值仅是基于烟草组分的总重量;这些wt%值不是基于可汽化材料的总重量。
合适形式的烟草实例包括叶、茎、膨胀烟草混合物和再造(reconstituted)烟草混合物。
本发明人还观察到,当用于蒸汽发生装置时,本发明的可汽化材料能够显著减少或避免加热以产生蒸汽时噪音的产生。
本发明人提出,由于基于烟草重量定义口味比,由于含有较低水分的材料的蒸汽稀释较低,与具有更高水分水平的烟草材料相比,更低的水分含量导致含有可汽化材料的蒸汽发生装置的第一抽吸具有感觉更强烈的口味水平。此外,更高的水分导致第一抽吸中的蒸汽量较少,其产生差的第一抽吸印象并且是不能令消费者满意的。另外,发明人发现,包含水分含量低于约3wt%的烟草的可汽化材料具有涩味并且与吸入时刺激性增加有关。这些观察结果是令人惊讶的,因为令人预料不到的是,发现了可汽化材料的烟草组分的最佳水分含量应当低于燃烧使用的材料的最佳水分含量(如香烟,其最佳水分含量为约12.5wt%)。
如本文所用,术语“味道”具有其通常的含义并且是指当通过加热本发明的可汽化材料产生的吸入蒸汽与使用者口中的味蕾受体进行化学反应而产生的化学感觉。味道的感觉可以分类为五种基本味道:甜味;酸味;咸味;苦味和鲜味。味道与气味(嗅觉)和三叉神经刺激一起确定口味感觉。如在本发明的上下文中使用时,术语“口味”指使用者感觉到的所吸入蒸汽的感官印象,其主要取决于味觉和嗅觉的化学感官。
本领域技术人员熟悉测定植物材料如烟草中的水分含量的合适方法,并且理解不同的方法适用于不同的材料。为避免歧义,以下描述了用于测定烟草的水分含量的方法:

保湿剂是吸湿性物质,其具有亲和力以与水分子形成氢键,并且当产品使用时用于产生可见的呼出气雾(即蒸汽)。根据本发明的可汽化材料中包括的合适保湿剂包括丙二醇和甘油,丙二醇也被称为1,2-丙二醇或丙烷-1,2-二醇并具有式C3H8O2或HO-CH2-CHOH-CH3,甘油也被称为丙三醇并且具有式C3H8O3。在优选实施方式中,该保湿剂是丙二醇。
本发明的可汽化材料包含至少20wt%的保湿剂,并且优选存在的保湿剂的量为20至60wt%,最优选约40至50wt%。这些wt%值是基于可汽化材料的总重量,包括烟草材料和保湿剂。
通过添加保湿剂,可汽化材料的水分含量随不同混合物而不同,但是,当烟草组分的水分含量为约3至5wt%的范围内时且保湿剂的量在约20wt%至约60wt%的范围内时,可汽化材料的水分含量优选在1至4wt%的范围内。通常,包含烟草材料和保湿剂的可汽化材料的总水分含量(wt%)将低于单独烟草材料的水分含量,因为保湿剂具有低的水分含量。

在优选的实施方式中,该装置能够使可汽化材料的烟草组分的水分含量维持在约3至5wt%范围内,并且最优选约4wt%。
本发明人已观察到,当使用蒸汽发生装置吸入如本文所定义的可汽化材料时,材料更高的水分含量对应于口味中增高的涩味。这被认为是由于在气雾蒸发过程中水滴的冷凝比丙二醇或乙二醇(即产品的保湿剂组分)均要快得多。存在于水滴中的尼古丁也蒸发,并且气态尼古丁使得吸入产品的味道/口味中的涩味增加。
优选以密封包的形式提供可汽化材料,该密封包的功能是作为使水分含量和口味随时间而保留的绝对屏障。术语“密封包”指具有密封性的气密性容器,并且在本发明的上下文中优选为胶囊。密封包被配置成当通过汽化装置加热时呈打开状以便释放蒸汽。理想情况下,应该尽可能快地加工和包装可汽化材料以确保大气中的水分不被吸收到材料中。

Claims (13)
1.一种用于蒸汽发生装置的可汽化材料,所述可汽化材料包含水分含量为3至5wt%的烟草并且还包含40至50wt%的量的保湿剂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的可汽化材料,其中所述保湿剂为丙二醇。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的可汽化材料,其中烟草是以叶、茎或其组合的形式。
4.根据权利要求1或2所述的可汽化材料,其中可汽化材料的总水分含量为1至4wt%。
5.根据权利要求1或2所述的可汽化材料,其中可汽化材料是在使用者可去除包装中提供的填塞物。
6.根据权利要求1或2所述的可汽化材料,其中可汽化材料是在分配器中提供的填塞物。
7.一种密封包,其含有如权利要求1至6中任一项所定义的可汽化材料。
8.如权利要求1至6中任一项所定义的可汽化材料在蒸汽发生装置中的用途。
9.一种蒸汽发生装置,其包含如权利要求1至6中任一项所定义的可汽化材料。
10.根据权利要求9所述的蒸汽发生装置,其中所述可汽化材料被容纳于根据权利要求7所述的密封包中。
11.根据权利要求9或权利要求10所述的蒸汽发生装置,其中所述装置能够使所述可汽化材料的烟草组分的水分含量保持在3至5wt%的范围内。
12.根据权利要求11所述的蒸汽发生装置,其中所述装置能够使所述可汽化材料的烟草组分的水分含量保持在4wt%。
13.根据权利要求9或权利要求10所述的蒸汽发生装置,其中所述装置为烟草加热装置。
