In the description of the present application, "a plurality" means two or more unless specifically limited otherwise.
According to one aspect of the present application, an aquarium is provided. Referring to fig. 1, the aquarium includes a body 1, the body 1 having an upper opening 11 and defining an inner space for containing water and aquatic life (aquatic life is not shown). The housing 1 has a cross-section in the shape of a rectangle, a rounded rectangle, a circle, etc. in some non-limiting embodiments, and is made of glass, crystal, or a transparent polymer (e.g., polymethyl methacrylate) for people to view aquatic creatures. The upper opening 11 is open to the outside atmosphere so that the water contained in the tank 1 is in contact with the atmosphere to supply dissolved oxygen and dissolved carbon dioxide to the aquatic organisms. The aquarium also comprises an air pump 2, an air inlet channel 21 and an air outlet channel 22, wherein one end of the air inlet channel 21 is connected with the air inlet end of the air pump 2, the other end of the air inlet channel is arranged outside the aquarium body 1, and one end of the air outlet channel 22 is connected with the air outlet end of the air pump 2, and the other end of the air outlet channel is arranged in the aquarium body 1. Of course, those skilled in the art will understand that the upper opening 11 of the aquarium is not limited to being defined by the side wall of the tank 1 (as shown in FIG. 1) and may be provided in plural; in fact, the upper opening 11 is suitable for the present application as long as the upper opening 11 allows the water contained in the tank 1 to come into contact with the outside atmosphere.
When the air pump 2 works, polluted air is sucked into the air pump 2 from the air inlet channel 21, is pressurized by the air pump 2 and then is discharged into water contained in the box body 1 from the air outlet channel 22, and pollutants (such as harmful gas or harmful particles) in the air are washed by water and are left in the water; the relatively clean air after flushing floats to the surface of the water, reaches the upper opening 11 and is discharged into the outside atmosphere. Meanwhile, part of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the air are dissolved in water, thereby improving living environments of animals (fishes, shrimps and the like), plants (for example, various aquatic plants) and the like in the water.
The intake passage 21 and the exhaust passage 22 are each formed by a length of pipe in some embodiments. To improve the washing and purifying effect, the exhaust passage 22 (or at least the air outlet of the exhaust passage 22) is provided at the lower part or bottom of the inner space of the case 1 to extend the path of the air floating upward.
The aquarium is also provided with a pre-air filtering device 3 to prevent impurities, large dust and the like from blocking the air pump 2 or being directly discharged into the water. The pre-air filter device 3 is provided on the intake passage 21 (e.g., mounted at the front end of the intake passage 21) to block foreign substances or provide primary filtration. In some embodiments the air filtration device 3 is a metal mesh enclosure.
To avoid debris falling into the water, in some embodiments, the aquarium also includes a top cover 4, the top cover 4 covering the upper opening 11. Wherein, in some embodiments, the upper cover 4 may further be provided with a filter part 41. The filter portion 41 provides an additional filtering stage before the flushed air is discharged into the outside atmosphere, so as to further enhance the filtering effect. In addition, the filter 41 is also used to remove bad smells (e.g., "fishy smell") from the purified air when fish are fed into the aquarium. As an integral part of the upper cover 4, the filter material in the filter part 41 is replaceable in some embodiments, for example, the filter part 41 is provided with a filler installation groove for filling replaceable filter filler; by replacing the filter filling, the air discharged from above the water surface can be filtered continuously and effectively. In one embodiment, all or a portion of the filter filler is a water absorbent material (for example, including but not limited to synthetic water absorbent materials such as polyvinyl acid salt, polyvinyl alcohol, and polyoxyethylene, and natural water absorbent materials such as chitosan and starch) to reduce or avoid excessive changes in air humidity caused by water vapor brought into the outside air by the air after being washed.
In the case of the aquarium provided with the upper cover 4, the washed air is difficult to be discharged due to the obstruction of the filter part 41, or the washed air requires a large air pressure to be discharged, which increases the work load of the air pump 2 and increases the power and noise of the air pump 2. In order to reduce the working requirement of the air pump 2 and to control its power and noise to a preferred level, the aquarium top cover 4 is further provided with an air extractor 42 for extracting air from the tank 1 above the water level. Referring to fig. 3, in one embodiment, the air extraction device 42 consists of two fans 42a,42 b; in the illustrated orientation, the fans 42a and 42b draw air from below and blow air upward when in operation. With the cooperation of the air extraction device 42, the air pump 2 can be operated at a lower power. On the other hand, compared with the case where the air extractor 42 is not provided, the air pressure above the water surface is low, and the pressure difference with the outside air is also small, so that the air after washing is less likely to escape from the joint between the box body 1 and the upper cover 4, and is discharged out of the box body 1 through the filter unit 41, and the filtering effect is further improved.
In order to maximize the contact area of the air drawn in from the outside with the water in the tank 1 for the air discharge passage 22 to enhance the filtering effect, the aquarium further includes a gas contact device integrally or detachably provided at the end of the air discharge passage 22 to divide the air introduced from the air discharge passage 22 into a plurality of strands and discharge the air into the water. In some embodiments, the gas contacting device has a cavity for introducing air; meanwhile, the gas contact device is also provided with a plurality of exhaust holes which are respectively communicated with the cavities; the air introduced into the aforementioned cavity through the air discharge passage 22 is discharged into the water through these air discharge holes. In particular, in one embodiment, the gas contacting means is provided by a porous material, the pores of which are interconnected and which defines the aforesaid cavity, for example a sponge; in another embodiment, the gas contact device is integrally disposed at the end of the exhaust channel 22, for example, the end of the exhaust channel 22 is a closed pipe, the side wall of the pipe is provided with a plurality of holes, and the portion provided with the holes is used as the gas contact device.
On the basis of the above embodiments, in some embodiments, the aquarium further includes the water filtering device 5, and the water inlet passage 51 and the water outlet passage 52. Referring to fig. 4, the water inlet passage 51 and the water outlet passage 52 are connected to the water filtering device 5 and serve to suck the water in the aquarium into the water filtering device and to discharge the water filtered by the water filtering device 5 into the aquarium, respectively. The water filtering device 5 is used for filtering foreign particles in the air introduced from the air discharge passage 22 in the aquarium and optionally removing harmful gas dissolved in the water by a physical or chemical method, thereby reducing the influence of the contaminants on the living environment of aquatic organisms while achieving air filtering.
Further, one or more partitions may be further provided in the aquarium to divide the inner space of the aquarium into different functional areas. Referring to fig. 5, on the basis of the above embodiments, in some embodiments, a partition plate 6 is provided in the aquarium, the partition plate 6 is connected to the bottom and the side wall of the aquarium and divides the space in the aquarium into a first area 7 and a second area 8, wherein the air discharge passage 22 communicates with the first area 7, and the air introduced by the air pump 2 is also discharged into the water contained in the first area 7; aquatic life is contained in the second area 8 and moves in the second area 8. Thus, air filtration is accomplished primarily in the first zone 7, while ecological maintenance within the aquarium is accomplished primarily in the second zone 8, both zones being relatively independent to reduce the impact of the air filtration process on the survival of aquatic life. In the case of the water filtering device 5, referring to fig. 6, the water inlet passage 51 and the water outlet passage 52 are also respectively connected to the first region 7 to prevent impurities caused by the air filtering process from affecting the survival of aquatic organisms. Furthermore, in some embodiments, the barrier 6 is permeable to water, thereby allowing water with more dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide to permeate from the first zone 7 to the second zone 8 to improve the aquatic life environment; in some embodiments the separator 6 comprises a mesh structure, such as a metal mesh. In addition, in some embodiments, the partition 6 includes a filter layer embedded in or attached to at least one surface of the partition 6, and the filter layer is used for filtering the water in the first region 7 and providing the water to the second region 8, so as to prevent impurities and the like dissolved in the water from affecting the survival of aquatic organisms (particularly aquatic animals). For example, the two surfaces of the filtering layer are respectively provided with metal meshes, a layer of filtering material (or called as a filter element) is clamped between the metal meshes, and the filtering material is mainly made of activated carbon, a microporous filtering membrane or other materials.
In the embodiments of the present application, the external air is filtered by the pre-air filtering device 3 under the driving of the air pump 2, sucked through the air inlet passage 21, discharged into the water contained in the tank 1 through the air outlet passage 22 to float in the water, washed and purified in the floating process, and discharged to the outside of the aquarium after reaching the upper opening 11. From this, each embodiment of this application need not additionally to set up air purifier, thereby can not introduce under the prerequisite of new noise, realized the washing purification to the air in the aquarium exterior space. In addition, because the ecology that the aquatic thing in the aquarium constitutes has self-cleaning ability, therefore compare in traditional filtration formula air purifier, the aquarium in each embodiment of this application need not frequently to change consumptive material such as the filter screen or the filter for filtering air to the aquarium also need not frequently to change water when the air purification in each embodiment.
It will be evident to those skilled in the art that the present application is not limited to the details of the foregoing illustrative embodiments, and that the present application may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential attributes thereof. The present embodiments are therefore to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, the scope of the application being indicated by the appended claims rather than by the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein. Any reference sign in a claim should not be construed as limiting the claim concerned. Furthermore, it is obvious that the word "comprising" does not exclude other elements or steps, and the singular does not exclude the plural. A plurality of units or means recited in the apparatus claims may also be implemented by one unit or means in software or hardware. The terms first, second, etc. are used to denote names, but not any particular order.
