The modified asphalt for the waterproof coiled material comprises the following components in parts by mass: 50-60 parts of petroleum asphalt, 5-8 parts of a softening agent, 5-8 parts of an SBS modifier, 6 parts of a stabilizer and 20-30 parts of a filler; wherein the softening agent is polyethylene glycol, glycerol, pentaerythritol oleate or pentaerythritol acrylate. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the modified asphalt for the waterproof coiled material. The modified asphalt waterproof coiled material prepared by the novel softener has greatly improved flexibility stability and aging resistance at low storage temperature compared with the modified asphalt prepared by the petroleum hydrocarbon softener, and has the advantages of simple preparation steps, low production investment and remarkable economic and social benefits.

The action mechanism of the novel softener is as follows:
the network structure of SBS modified asphalt is a process of polymer adsorption and swelling for phase inversion. Novel softener and SBS are fine in the modification process and dissolve mutually and form intertwine and reach network structure, and effectual improvement its stability avoids producing and is only the individual molecule dispersion of simple high temperature, then mixes loose structure, meets the heat back a little, leads to intensity to reduce, and the adhesion worsens, and aromatic oil from it is appeared, influences the inherent quality and the appearance quality of coiled material.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following outstanding characteristics:
1. the low-temperature flexibility of the waterproof coiled material is slowly attenuated, and the service life of the product is ensured.
2. The appearance of the coiled material does not have the phenomena of yellowing and rusty spot.
3. In the production process of the coiled material, less waste oil smoke is generated, and the coiled material is more environment-friendly.
Experiments prove that the original low-temperature limit of the waterproof coiled material prepared by the modified asphalt is-29.0 ℃, the low-temperature limit after 30 days of use can reach-28.4 ℃, and the low-temperature limit of thermal aging can reach-26.5 ℃; compared with the modified asphalt waterproof coiled material prepared by replacing the same scheme with the common petroleum hydrocarbon softener, the original low-temperature limit of the modified asphalt waterproof coiled material is-29.0 ℃, the low-temperature limit after 30 days of use can reach-25.0 ℃, and the low-temperature limit of thermal aging can reach-17.4 ℃, so that the improvement on the aspect of low-temperature flexible storage stability is remarkable.
