The invention provides a needle detecting and code scanning system and a method, which meet the needle detecting and code scanning requirements of finished clothing products, and the system comprises: the needle detection subsystem is used for realizing metal detection and the code scanning subsystem is used for realizing code scanning identification; the needle detecting subsystem is connected with a plurality of metal detecting heads and an alarm indicating lamp, the code scanning subsystem is connected with an information board and a code scanning camera, and the information board displays information including the number of code scanning pieces.
