背景技术
水性处理流体可以用于各种地下处理。此类处理包括但不限于钻井操作、增产操作、以及完井操作。如在此所使用的,术语“处理(treatment)”或“处理(treating)”是指结合所需功能和/或出于所需目的使用流体的任何地下操作。该术语“处理(treatment)”或“处理(treating)”不暗示流体的任何具体作用。
粘性的胶凝的压裂流体通常用于被井筒穿透的地下区域(例如,含油或含气岩层)的水力压裂中以增加来自地下区域的烃类的生产。即,以一定的速率和压力将粘性的压裂流体泵送通过该井筒进入该地下区域,从而形成裂缝并且延伸到待增产的地下区域。压裂流体还将微粒支撑剂材料(例如,级配砂)携带到所形成的裂缝中。使支撑剂材料悬浮在粘性的压裂流体中,这样使得当粘性的压裂流体被破坏并且回收时该支撑剂材料沉积在这些裂缝中。支撑剂材料起防止裂缝闭合的作用,由此形成传导通道,所产生的流体可以通过这些传导通道流到井筒中。
利用水性处理流体的增产操作的实例是水力压裂。在一些例子中,与能够逃逸到地下地层中的流体相比,压裂处理涉及将无支撑剂的水性处理流体(称为前置液)更快地泵送到地层中,这样使得地层中的压力升高并且地层破裂,产生或增强一个或多个裂缝。增强裂缝包括扩大地层中预先存在的裂缝。一旦裂缝形成或增强,通常将支撑剂微粒置于裂缝中以形成支撑剂充填层,当释放液压时该支撑剂充填层可以防止裂缝闭合,形成传导通道,流体可以通过这些传导通道流到井筒中。
在将水性处理流体泵送到井筒的过程中,由于在呈湍流的水性处理流体与地层和/或布置在井筒内的管材(例如,管子、盘绕的管道等)之间的摩擦可能损失相当大量的能量。由于这些能量损失,额外的马力可能是必要的以实现所希望的处理。为减少这些能量损失,迄今为止已经将减摩聚合物包含在水性处理流体中。由于在呈湍流的水性处理流体与管材和/或地层之间的摩擦,减摩聚合物应该减小这些摩擦损失。
在水性处理流体中已经使用交联的瓜尔胶衍生物和其他聚合物体系超过30年。目前,通过使用浓度为约30-40磅/1000加仑的瓜尔胶衍生物(例如CMHPG)可以获得在高温(约275°F)下的良好交联性能。
然而,在地下处理方法中相对高的聚合物使用可能造成显著的地层损坏。而且,当在地面之上回收利用处理流体时,流体中高水平的高分子量聚合物可在地面之上流体回收利用操作(如末端颠倒)中导致絮凝。希望在压裂流体中使用尽可能少的聚合物,这样使得压裂作业的总成本较低、破裂之后较少的聚合物残留物残留在裂缝以及砂充填层中、并且使地层损坏最小化。本领域中需要允许提高用于地下区域的处理流体的效率的聚合物体系,以克服以上所描述的问题。
发明内容
本披露提供了用于压裂地下地层的方法,该方法包括在足以压裂地层的压力下将水性压裂流体注入到地下地层的至少一部分中的步骤,其中该压裂流体具有范围从约6至约11的pH并且包括交联剂以及含有一种或多种乙烯基膦酸单体的共聚物。
在一个实施例中,该共聚物进一步包含一种或多种丙烯酰胺单体。在另一个实施例中,该共聚物进一步包含一种或多种丙烯酸单体。在另一个实施例中,该压裂流体进一步包含一种或多种多糖。
在一个实施例中,该交联剂选自钛、锆以及硼交联剂。在另一个实施例中,该交联剂包含选自乳酸锆、三乙醇胺乳酸锆、三乙醇胺锆酸盐、碳酸锆、乙酰丙酮合锆、苹果酸锆、柠檬酸锆以及锆的多羟基络合物的锆交联剂。
在一个实施例中,该共聚物的重均分子量范围从约100,000道尔顿至约20,000,000道尔顿。
在一个实施例中,该压裂流体进一步包含支撑剂。
在一个实施例中,该方法进一步包括将破裂剂注入到地下底层的至少一部分中。
在一个实施例中,该压裂流体选自淡水、海水、盐水、咸水、采出水、再生水、工业废水、与采油相关的废水、以及其组合。
还提出了一种用于减少井处理流体中的摩擦相关损失的方法,其中该方法包括以下步骤:将含有一种或多种乙烯基膦酸单体的减摩共聚物添加到该井处理流体中,与不存在该减摩共聚物的相同的处理流体相比,其量有效地改善了该处理流体的流动。
在一个实施例中,该方法进一步包括在添加该减摩共聚物之前、之后或者之时将一种或多种多糖添加到该井处理流体中。在一个实施例中,该一种或多种多糖选自衍生瓜尔胶、非衍生瓜尔胶、淀粉、纤维素衍生物、以及其组合。
具体实施方式
本披露提供了用于压裂地下地层的组合物和方法。还提供了用于减少井处理流体中的摩擦相关损失的组合物和方法。总体上,这些组合物包含含有一种或多种乙烯基膦酸(“VPA”)单体的共聚物。在一个实施例中,该共聚物具有结合在聚合物骨架中的此类VPA单体和/或通过此类VPA单体封端。与现有技术水平的工业中采用的压裂流体相比,使用根据本披露的聚合物可以将总聚合物装载量减少20%-30%或更多。
如在此所使用的,术语“乙烯基膦酸”以及“乙烯基膦酸酯”意旨包括乙烯基膦酸衍生物,如对应的烷基酯,其是术语“乙烯基膦酸酯”意在涵盖的。
如在此所使用的,术语“聚合物”意在涵盖低聚物,并且包括(不限于)均聚物和共聚物二者。
如在此所使用的,术语“共聚物”不限于含有两种类型的单体单元的聚合物,而且包含两种或更多种单体单元(例如三聚物、四聚物等)的任何组合。
在一个实施例中,本披露的组合物是油包水乳剂,其包含油性连续相以及水性分散相。在一个实施例中,在水相中存在含有一种或多种VPA单体的共聚物。
油相(O)和水相(A)可以基于每个相的体积从至少约1∶8、在一些情况下至少约1∶6并且在其他情况下至少约1∶4、并且可以最高达约10∶1、在一些情况下最高达约8∶1并且在其他情况下最高达约6∶1的O/A比存在。当O/A比太油重时,该聚合物可能在水相中是太浓的。当O/A比太水重时,该乳剂可能变得不稳定并且易于分离。该O/A比可以是在任何上述比率之间的任何比率或范围。
在本发明的油包水乳剂中,油相作为连续相存在并且包括惰性疏水性液体。该惰性疏水性液体可以包括(作为非限制性实例)链烷烃,环烷烃,芳香族烃,苯,二甲苯,甲苯,矿物油,煤油,石脑油,凡士林,支链异链烷溶剂,支链烃,饱和的、直链的、和/或支链的链烷烃以及其组合。具体的非限制性实例包括天然油、改性油或合成油,如从德克萨斯州欧文市(Irving Tex.)的埃克森美孚公司(ExxonMobile Corporation)得到作为M和可获得的支链异链烷溶剂、从纽约州纽约的维特科化学公司(Witco ChemicalCompany,New York,NY)作为61可获得的窄馏分支链烃、从威特科公司(Witco)作为可商购的矿物油、从伊利诺伊州伯纳姆(Burnham,Ill)的凯罗特种产品公司(Calumet Specialty Products)可获得的CALUMETM LVP-100、来自德克萨斯州休斯顿市Penreco合伙公司(Penreco Partnership)的来自宾夕法尼亚州石油城(Oil City,Pa)的Magie Bros.的以及植物油,如芥花油、椰子油、菜籽油等。
该惰性疏水性液体以足以形成稳定乳剂的量存在于该油包水乳剂中。在一些实施例中,该惰性疏水性液体可以以在按重量计从约15%至约80%范围内的量存在于该油包水乳剂中。
在某些实施例中,该惰性疏水性液体以基于该油包水乳剂的重量至少约15重量百分比、在一些情况下至少约17.5重量百分比、并且在其他情况下至少约20重量百分比的水平存在于该油包水乳剂中,并且可以以基于该油包水乳剂的重量最高达约80重量百分比、在一些情况下最高达约60重量百分比、在其他情况下最高达约40重量百分比并且在一些例子中最高达约30重量百分比存在。在该油包水乳剂中惰性疏水性液体的总量可以是在上述值的任何之间的任何值或可以范围在上述值的任何之间。

在一个实施例中,该压裂流体进一步包含一种或多种多糖。在一个实施例中,该多糖选自衍生瓜尔胶、非衍生瓜尔胶、淀粉、纤维素衍生物、以及其组合。瓜尔胶来自瓜尔豆胶,在豆科植物四棱叶瓜尔豆(Cyamopsis tetragonolobus)的种子中发现的粘液。将水溶性部分(85%)称为“瓜尔糖”,它由通过(1,6)键附接的(1,4)-β-D吡喃甘露糖基单元与α-D-吡喃半乳糖基单元的直链组成。D-半乳糖与D-甘露糖在瓜尔糖中的比率是约1∶2。瓜尔豆胶典型地具有在2,000,000道尔顿与5,000,000道尔顿之间的重均分子量。在一个实施例中,本披露的衍生瓜尔胶包括但不限于羟丙基瓜尔胶(HPG)、羧甲基瓜尔胶(CMG)、羟乙基瓜尔胶(HEG)、羧甲基羟丙基瓜尔胶(CMHPG)、羟丁基瓜尔胶(HBG)、阳离子瓜尔胶、疏水改性的瓜尔胶(HMG)、疏水改性的羧甲基瓜尔胶(HMCMG)、疏水改性的羟乙基瓜尔胶(HMHEG)、疏水改性的羟丙基瓜尔胶(HMHPG)、疏水改性的羧甲基羟丙基瓜尔胶(HMCMHPG)、疏水改性的羟丁基瓜尔胶(HMHBG)、以及疏水改性的阳离子瓜尔胶(HMCG)。在一个实施例中,该多糖是CMHPG。

在本披露中使用的交联剂包括但不限于铜化合物、镁化合物、硼化合物、乙二醛、锆化合物、钛化合物(例如钛IV化合物,如乳酸钛、苹果酸钛、柠檬酸钛、乳酸铵钛、钛的多羟基络合物、三乙醇胺钛、以及乙酰丙酮合钛)、钙化合物、镁化合物(例如像乳酸铝或柠檬酸铝)、对苯醌、二羧酸及其盐、亚磷酸盐化合物以及磷酸盐化合物。在另一个实施例中,该交联剂是含有多价离子(如但未必限于硼或如铬、铁、铝、钛、锑和锆的金属)或多价离子的混合物的化合物。
在一个实施例中,该交联剂选自硼砂、硼酸、硼矿(例如硬硼钙石、钠硼解石等)以及其组合。在另一个实施例中,该交联剂是锆化合物。锆化合物可以包括但不限于乙酰基丙酮酸锆、三异丙胺锆、三异丙胺乳酸锆、二异丙胺锆、二异丙胺乳酸锆、以及锆(IV)化合物如乳酸锆、三乙醇胺乳酸锆、三乙醇胺高酸盐、碳酸锆、乙酰丙酮合锆、苹果酸锆、柠檬酸锆、以及锆的多羟基络合物。在一个实施例中,该交联剂选自钛、锆以及硼交联剂。
本披露的井处理流体组合物可以任选地包含其他的添加剂。通常包含添加剂以增强流体化合物本身的稳定性,用来防止由暴露于氧气、高温、痕量过渡金属离子、添加到流体化合物中的水的成分造成的破坏,并且防止非最佳的交联反应动力学。用于流体组合物中的组分的选择很大程度上取决于它们将在其上使用的含烃地层的特性。此类添加剂可以选自水、油、盐(包括有机盐)、聚合物、杀微生物剂、防腐剂以及溶解剂、pH改变剂/缓冲剂(例如,酸和碱)、破裂剂、氧化剂、金属螯合剂、金属络合物、抗氧化剂、润湿剂、聚合物稳定剂、黏土稳定剂、防垢剂和溶解剂、蜡抑制剂和溶解剂、沥青质沉淀抑制剂、水流抑制剂、降滤失添加剂、化学灌浆材料、暂堵剂、固砂化学品、支撑剂、渗透性改性剂、粘弹性流体、气体(例如,氮气和二氧化碳)、以及发泡剂。
在一个实施例中,本披露的方法包括添加破胶剂或氧化剂,如过硼酸盐、过氧化物、过硫酸盐、酶等。
在一个实施例中,该压裂流体选自淡水、海水、盐水、咸水、采出水、再生水、工业废水、与采油相关的废水、以及其组合。
还提供了一种用于减少井处理流体中的摩擦相关损失的方法,其中该方法包括以下步骤:将含有一种或多种乙烯基膦酸单体的减摩共聚物添加到该井处理流体中,与不存在该减摩共聚物的相同的处理流体相比,其量有效地改善了该处理流体的流动。

聚合物溶液是通过将0.2ml的30%硫代硫酸钠溶液添加到100ml的聚合物溶液中,将pH调节至约7.8并且添加0.075ml的乳酸锆交联剂(5%Zr)交联的。将所得到的溶液转移到高温、高压粘度计(“HTHP粘度计”)中并加热至275°F。粘度是作为时间和温度的函数来测量的。结果呈现在表1中。

实例4-多糖以及VPA-共聚物研究。
多糖溶液(“溶液1”)是通过将1.5g羧甲基羟丙基瓜尔胶(“CMHPG”)添加至500ml的去离子水中制备的。然后,添加0.075g碳酸氢钠以及0.5ml的30%氯化胆碱溶液。将溶液的pH调节至在5至7之间,并且使CMHPG水合至少30分钟。在75°F下在511/秒下溶液的粘度是约17-18cP。
1%VPA-3共聚物溶液(‘溶液2”)是通过将5g的VPA-3共聚物乳剂溶解在500ml去离子水中制备的。然后,添加0.15g碳酸氢钠以及0.5ml的50%氯化胆碱溶液。添加0.5ml的乙氧基化表面活性剂作为反转表面活性剂。将溶液缓慢地混合直至聚合物完全溶解。聚合物溶液的粘度是约13cP(使用OFITE型号900粘度计在511/秒下测量)。
以不同的量组合溶液1和2来制备100g的组合溶液。然后,添加0.3ml的30%硫代硫酸钠。使用12.5%倍半碳酸钠溶液将pH调节至约9-9.5。最后,添加0.1ml的乳酸锆交联剂(约5%Zr含量)。将组合的溶液转移至HTHP粘度计中并加热至275°F。粘度是作为时间和温度的函数来测量的。表8中提供了不同混合比率下交联体系的粘度。

如表8中所示,在交联溶液1和溶液2的混合物时有协同作用。例如,含有25%溶液1和75%溶液2的组合比单独的溶液1或溶液2展现出更高的粘度。
多糖溶液(“溶液3”)是通过将1.2g的CMHPG添加至500ml的去离子水中制备的。然后,添加0.075g碳酸氢钠以及0.5ml的30%氯化胆碱溶液。将溶液的pH调节至在5至7之间,并且使CMHPG水合至少30分钟。在75°F下在511/秒下溶液的粘度是约13-14cP。
0.8%VPA-4共聚物溶液(“溶液4”)是通过将4g的VPA-4共聚物乳剂溶解在500ml去离子水中制备的。然后,添加0.15g碳酸氢钠以及0.5ml的50%氯化胆碱溶液。将溶液缓慢地混合直至聚合物完全溶解。聚合物溶液的粘度是约15-16cP(使用OFITE型号900粘度计在511/秒下测量)。

Claims (17)
1.一种用于压裂地下地层的方法,该方法包括在足以压裂该地层的压力下将水性压裂流体注入到该地下地层的至少一部分中的步骤,其中该压裂流体具有范围从约6至约11的pH并且包含交联剂以及含有一种或多种乙烯基膦酸单体的共聚物。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,该共聚物进一步包含一种或多种丙烯酰胺单体。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,该共聚物进一步包含一种或多种丙烯酸单体。

7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,该交联剂包含选自由以下各项组成的组的锆交联剂:乳酸锆、三乙醇胺乳酸锆、三乙醇胺锆酸盐、碳酸锆、乙酰丙酮合锆、苹果酸锆、柠檬酸锆、以及锆的多羟基络合物。
8.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,该共聚物的重均分子量范围从约100,000道尔顿至约20,000,000道尔顿。
9.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,该压裂流体进一步包含支撑剂。

12.一种用于减少井处理流体中的摩擦相关损失的方法,其中,该方法包括以下步骤:将含有一种或多种乙烯基膦酸单体的减摩共聚物添加到该井处理流体中,与不存在该减摩共聚物的相同的处理流体相比,其量有效地改善了该处理流体的流动。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中,该共聚物进一步包含一种或多种丙烯酰胺单体。
14.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中,该共聚物进一步包含一种或多种丙烯酸单体。
