Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a fan speed control method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The method of fig. 1 may be performed by a computer, as shown in fig. 1, the method comprising:
110: and acquiring the decibel value of the environmental noise.

Preferably, the computer of the present invention is a notebook computer.
An input device is a device that inputs data and information to a computer, and is one of the main devices for exchanging information between a user and a computer system. Input devices may include, but are not limited to, a keyboard, mouse, camera, scanner, light pen, handwriting input pad, joystick, voice input device, and the like. Preferably, the input device of the present invention is a microphone or a sensor.
The sensor is a detection device which can sense the measured information and convert the sensed information into an electric signal or other information in a required form according to a certain rule to output so as to meet the requirements of information transmission, processing, storage, display, recording, control and the like. The sensor of the present invention is an acoustic sensor.
The environmental noise refers to the sound generated in industrial production, building construction, transportation and social life to interfere with the surrounding living environment. Ambient noise can be classified according to different noise sources, and noise limits are specified by different noise standards.
It should be noted that the built-in microphone of the notebook computer may be disposed at the middle position of the upper frame of the notebook computer screen, may also be disposed at the lower left corner of the notebook computer keyboard region, or may also be disposed at the left front side of the notebook computer, which is not limited in this respect.
It should be noted that the microphone of the present invention is not limited to a built-in microphone, and may be an external microphone.
120: and searching a fan rotating speed value corresponding to the decibel value in a preset fan rotating speed table.
In the embodiment of the present invention, a Basic Input Output System (BIOS) of a computer obtains a decibel value of ambient noise from a storage unit through a driver, and searches a preset fan speed table for a fan speed value corresponding to the decibel value.
Specifically, the fan inside the computer mainly plays a role in cooling and exhausting the computer hardware. Generally, fans inside a computer may include a power supply fan, a Central Processing Unit (CPU) fan, a display card fan, and a system fan.
The fan speed refers to the number of revolutions per minute of the fan blade. The rotating speed of the fan can be measured through an internal rotating speed signal and is checked in the BIOS; measurements may also be made externally and viewed by other instruments.
Table 1 is a preset fan speed table storing the correspondence between ambient noise and fan noise. As shown in table 1, assuming that the ambient noise is 100dB, and then is equal to 80dB after subtracting 20dB, the fan speed can be adjusted to level 1, i.e. the fan noise is "enhanced 3"; assuming that the ambient noise is 60dB, and is equal to 40dB after subtracting 20dB, the fan speed can be adjusted to any one of levels 1 to 5, i.e. the fan noise is any one of "medium" to "enhanced 3".
It should be noted that, in order to prevent the computer system from overheating due to low rotation speed, a software protection mechanism, i.e. CPU down-conversion (Throttling), is added during low environmental noise. Here, the CPU down-conversion is a CPU overheat protection function that is automatically turned on when the CPU temperature reaches about 90 degrees, and is normally turned on by default. Furthermore, it should be noted that the ideal fan noise should not exceed 32dB, and the ambient noise should always be greater than the fan noise.
Grade Ambient noise Noise of fan
1 Ambient noise (dB) -20(dB) less than or equal to 80(dB) Enhancement 3(60dB)
2 Ambient noise (dB) -20(dB) less than or equal to 70(dB) Enhancement 2(50dB)
3 Ambient noise (dB) -20(dB) less than or equal to 60(dB) Enhancement 1(40dB)
4 Ambient noise (dB) -20(dB) less than or equal to 50(dB) High (32dB)
5 Ambient noise (dB) -20(dB) less than or equal to 40(dB) Medium (28dB) + 90 deg.C CPU frequency reduction
6 Ambient noise (dB) -20(dB) less than or equal to 30(dB) Low (25dB) + 70 ℃ down conversion of CPU

Specifically, after the CPU or the GPU automatically reduces the frequency, whether the temperature of the CPU or the GPU is higher than a third preset temperature is determined; if the temperature of the CPU or the GPU is higher than a third preset temperature, the temperature is forcibly switched to a wafer temperature control fan rotating speed mechanism, namely the embedded controller controls the rotating speed of the fan according to the wafer temperature; if the temperature of the central processor or the graphic processor is equal to or lower than the third preset temperature, switching to an ambient noise control fan rotating speed mechanism, namely, controlling the rotating speed of the fan by the embedded controller according to the decibel value of the ambient noise. Here, the third preset temperature may be 90 ℃ and 80 ℃ higher than the second preset temperature.
