Background
An indoor rowing machine (indoor power) or rowing machine (rowing machine) is a machine used to simulate the movement of a water racing boat, and its purpose is to exercise or rowing training.
U.S. Pat. No. 4,884,800 discloses a rowing machine. The rowing machine is characterized by having a hollow vessel filled with water. In the pulling part of each water stroke, the paddle in the water in the container is rotated by pulling the driving rope to generate momentum effect. Turbulence of the water provides resistance to the rotation of the paddle. The rowing machine provided in this patent is not adjustable in resistance.
U.S. Pat. No. 7,628,739 discloses a variable impedance rowing machine having a first fluid chamber and a second fluid chamber. The rotation mechanism is rotatable within the first fluid chamber. The amount of resistance to rotation of the rotating mechanism is determined by the amount of fluid in the first fluid chamber. The second fluid chamber is located within or adjacent to the first fluid chamber. The fluid in the first fluid chamber is adjusted to the appropriate amount using the second fluid chamber so that the rowing machine has the required resistance. The fluid flows through the first fluid chamber, enters the second fluid chamber, and then flows back to the first fluid chamber. By controlling the fluid such that the fluid in the first fluid chamber is adjusted to an appropriate amount, a rowing machine with different resistance can be provided.
