Description

Bracket device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a bracket device, and more particularly, to a bracket device for a slide rail and rack system.
Background
As shown in fig. 1, in a rack system, a carrier 100 is typically mounted to a rack 104(rack) by a rail 102 or rail assembly. Wherein the slide rail 102 is configured with a bracket device 106 capable of being mounted to the frame 104.
Further, the bracket device 106 includes a bracket 108 and a fastener 110. The fastener 110 is pivotally connected to the bracket 108 through a pivot 112, and the fastener 110 can pivot relative to the bracket 108 to be in a locking position P. When the fastener 110 is in the locking position P, a first latching feature 114 of the fastener 110 can be latched by a second latching feature 116 of the carrying object 100 to hold the carrying object 100 at a position.
However, in the prior art, the fastening member 110 is inserted through the pivot hole 118 of the bracket 108 via the pivot member 112, wherein sometimes the size of the hole 118 is larger than the size of the pivot member 112 for specific requirements, so that the fastening member 110 can move slightly in a direction D relative to the bracket 108 via the pivot member 112.
In this case, when the second latching feature 116 of the carrying object 100 is latched to the first latching feature 114, if an unintentional external force F intervenes, the fastening element 110 is prone to shake or tilt up and down (as shown in fig. 2), which will cause the second latching feature 116 of the carrying object 100 not to be latched to the first latching feature 114 of the fastening element 110; alternatively, a similar situation may occur when there is an assembly tolerance problem between the dimensions of the pivot 112 and the pivot hole 118 of the bracket 108.
Therefore, how to develop a reliable tray product becomes an issue that should not be ignored.

Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 3, a carrier 20 may be mounted to a frame 24 by a pair of rails 22 (or rail assemblies). The carrier 20 may be an electronic device or a chassis (chassis). Here, it is taken as an example that the supporting object 20 includes a first portion 20a and a second portion 20b, and the width of the first portion 20a is greater than that of the second portion 20 b.
Further, each slide rail 22 is mountable to a first column 24a of the rack 24 by a mounting 28 of a bracket device 26 and to a second column 24b of the rack 24 by another bracket device 30.
As shown in fig. 4 and 5, the bracket device 26 includes a bracket 32 and a fastener 34 pivotally connected to the bracket 32.
The bracket 32 is attached to the slide rail 22, for example, the bracket 32 may be fixedly connected to the slide rail 22 by riveting or welding. Specifically, the bracket 32 includes a side wall 36 and at least one mounting member 28 positioned adjacent to the side wall 36. Preferably, the bracket 32 further includes an end wall 40 substantially perpendicular to the side wall 36, and the at least one mounting member 28 is disposed on the end wall 40.
In this first embodiment, the bracket 32 includes a first structure 42 and the fastener 34 includes a second structure 44. The first structure 42 includes two protrusions 42a, 42b protruding laterally from the sidewall 36, and the second structure 44 is an extension of the fastener 34. The second structure 44 is located between the two projections 42a, 42 b. Preferably, the sidewall 36 of the bracket 32 has an opening H, and the two protrusions 42a and 42b are located on the upper and lower sides of the opening H. On the other hand, the position of the second structure 44 corresponds to the opening H.
Preferably, the bracket 32 further includes at least one lug 46 located on the sidewall 36, and the at least one lug 46 has a guide feature 48. The arrangement direction of the guiding feature 48 is the same as the length direction of the side wall 36 (or the slide rail 22), and here, the guiding feature 48 is exemplified by a longitudinal long hole; on the other hand, the fastener 34 is pivotally connected to the bracket 32. Here, the fastener 34 is disposed through a portion of the guiding feature 48 by a shaft 50, for example, the guiding feature 48 is slightly larger than the shaft 50, so that the fastener 34 can be longitudinally displaced relative to the sidewall 36 of the bracket 32 according to the guiding feature 48 in addition to being able to pivot relative to the bracket 32 by the shaft 50.
Further, the fastener 34 includes at least one connecting portion 52, a fastening portion 54, and a latching feature 56. The at least one connection portion 52 is located between the second structure 44 and the fastening portion 54, such that the shaft 50 penetrates the at least one connection portion 52 and the at least one lug 46. The latching feature 56 is located adjacent to the buckle portion 54, for example, the latching feature 56 is a hook, and the latching feature 56 is connected to the buckle portion 54 and located in front of the adjacent buckle portion 54, for latching another latching feature 58 of the carrying object 20 (or may be called an object) mounted on the slide rail 22. Preferably, the bracket device 26 further comprises an elastic member 60 for providing elastic force to the fastening member 34.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the fastener 34 is movable from a locking position P1 (one position) to an unlocking position P2 (the other position) in a pivoting direction R; or from the unlocked position P2 to the locked position P1. Preferably, the fastener 34 can be maintained at the locking position P1 in response to the elastic force of the elastic member 60.
When the fastener 34 is in the locking position P1, the fastening portion 54 of the fastener 34 is adjacent to the at least one mounting member 28 (shown in fig. 5); when the fastener 34 is not in the locking position P1, such as in the unlocking position P2, the fastening portion 54 of the fastener 34 is away from the at least one mounting member 28 (as shown in fig. 6).
As shown in fig. 7, when the slide rail 22 is mounted to the first column 24a of the frame 24 through the at least one mounting member 28 of the bracket 32 and the fastener 34 is in the locking position P1, the fastening portion 54 of the fastener 34 can be used to lock the first column 24a, and the latching feature 56 of the fastener 34 can be used to latch another latching feature 58 of the carrier 20. The supporting object 20 is located at a retracted position L by the sliding rail 22.
Specifically, when the fastener 34 is located at the locking position P1, the second structure 44 and the first structure 42 are matched to prevent the fastener 34 from moving in the axial direction X of the shaft 50. In other words, the fastener 34 can be prevented from moving in a height direction relative to the length direction of the side wall 36 or the slide rail 22.
For example, when the fastener 34 is in the locking position P1, if an unintentional or external force F1 or F2 is applied to the fastener 34, the second structure 44 is abutted between the two protrusions 42a and 42b, so as to prevent the fastener 34 from moving upward or downward. In other words, the fastener 34 can be prevented from moving upward, downward or obliquely relative to the length direction of the sidewall 36 of the bracket 32.
According to this configuration, when the fastener 34 is in the locking position P1, the latching feature 56 of the fastener 34 can be ensured to be latched by the other latching feature 58 of the carrier 20. One such feature is to prevent the fastener 34 and the carrier 20 from being disengaged from each other.
As shown in fig. 8 and 9, the cradle device 200 of the second embodiment is different from the first embodiment in the arrangement of the first structure and the second structure.
The first structure 202 and the second structure 204 of the bracket device 200 are protrusions and holes. Specifically, the bracket 206 includes the first structure 202, e.g., the first structure 202 is a protrusion located adjacent to the end wall 208; on the other hand, the fastener 210 includes the second structure 204, and the second structure 204 is a hole for receiving the protrusion, so that the protrusion can be blocked by the inner wall of the hole. Thus, the fastener 210 is also prevented from moving up, down, or obliquely relative to the bracket 206. In an alternative embodiment, the first structure 202 can be a hole and the second structure 204 can be a protrusion.
According to this configuration, when the fastener 210 is in the locking position P1, the latching feature 212 of the fastener 210 can be ensured to be latched by the other latching feature 58 of the carrier 20.
As shown in fig. 10, the cradle device 300 of the third embodiment is different from the first and second embodiments in the arrangement of the first and second structures, which is different from the second embodiment.
The first structure 302 and the second structure 304 of the bracket device 300 are protrusions and holes. Specifically, the bracket 306 includes the first structure 302, e.g., the first structure 302 is an aperture in a sidewall 308 of the bracket 306; on the other hand, the fastener 310 includes the second structure 304, and the second structure 304 is a protrusion, which is used to extend into the hole, so that the protrusion can be blocked by the inner wall of the hole. Thus, the fastener 310 is also prevented from moving up, down, or obliquely relative to the bracket 306. In an alternative embodiment, the first structure 302 can be a protrusion and the second structure 304 can be a hole.
According to this configuration, when the fastener 310 is in the locking position P1, the latching feature 312 of the fastener 310 can be ensured to be latched by the other latching feature 58 of the carrier 20.
According to the second and third embodiments, in other alternative embodiments, the first structure and the second structure may be a combination of a protrusion and a recess, and for the sake of brevity, are not described herein again.
From the above description, it can be seen that the enhanced efficacy and advantages of the present invention are: the second structure is matched with the first structure to prevent the fastener from moving in the axial direction of the shaft.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be recognized by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are illustrative only, and various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and therefore, it is intended to cover in the appended claims all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit of the invention.
