Herein, the at least one first bend portion B1 and the at least one second bend portion B2 of the supportingmember 24 together support the first side L1 of thelongitudinal wall 38 of therail member 22. - As shown in
FIG. 9 andFIG. 10 , thefastening member 28 is capable of in one of a first state S1 (such as an unlocking state) and a second state S2 (such as a locking state) relative to thefirst bracket 26. When thefastening member 28 is located at the first state S1 (shown inFIG. 9 ), thefastening portion 67 of thefastening member 28 is away from at least one first mountingmember 56 of thefirst bracket 26. When thefastening member 28 is located at the second state S2 (shown inFIG. 10 ), thefastening portion 67 of thefastening member 28 is adjacent to the at least one first mountingmember 56 of thefirst bracket 26. Specifically, thefastening member 28 can be pivoted relative to thefirst bracket 26 by theshaft member 66 to switch between the first state S1 and the second state S2. - Preferably, one of the
first contact portion 68 of thefastening member 28 and the first drivingportion 72 of theauxiliary member 32 includes a first guiding feature 73 (such as an inclined surface or a curved surface). Furthermore, one of thesecond contact portion 70 of thefastening member 28 and thesecond driving portion 74 of theauxiliary member 32 includes a second guiding feature 75 (such as an inclined surface or a curved surface). Herein, as shown inFIG. 16 , the first drivingportion 72 includes thefirst guiding feature 73, and thesecond driving portion 74 includes thesecond guiding feature 75, which are only exemplary. - When the supporting
member 24 is moved from a first position P1 (shown inFIG. 9 ) to a second position P2 (shown inFIG. 10 ) relative to thefirst bracket 26 along a first direction D1, the supportingmember 24 contacts thefirst contact portion 68 of thefastening member 28 through the first drivingportion 72 of theauxiliary member 32, such that the supportingmember 24 drives thefastening member 28 to change from the first state S1 (shown inFIG. 9 ) to the second state S2 (shown inFIG. 10 ). That is, the supportingmember 24 drives thefastening member 28 to change from the first state S1 to the second state S2 through the first drivingportion 72 of theauxiliary member 32. Specifically, when the supportingmember 24 is moved from the first position P1 (shown inFIG. 9 ) to the second position P2 (shown inFIG. 10 ) relative to thefirst bracket 26 along the first direction D1, theauxiliary member 32 is driven by the supportingmember 24 to move along the first direction D1, such that thesecond end 62 b of the limitingfeature 62 is moved towards theconnection member 64, and thefirst end 62 a of the limitingfeature 62 is moved away from theconnection member 64. Thefirst driving portion 72 of theauxiliary member 32 contacts and pushes thefirst contact portion 68 of thefastening member 28, such that thefastening member 28 is pivoted to change from the first state S1 (shown inFIG. 9 ) to the second state S2 (shown inFIG. 10 ). In other words, when the supportingmember 24 is located at the first position P1 relative to thefirst bracket 26, theconnection member 64 is located at thefirst end 62 a of the limitingfeature 62; when the supportingmember 24 is located at the second position P2 relative to thefirst bracket 26, theconnection member 64 is located at thesecond end 62 b of the limitingfeature 62. - In contrary, when the supporting
member 24 is moved from the second position P2 (shown inFIG. 10 ) to the first position P1 relative to thefirst bracket 26 along a second direction D2 opposite to the first direction D1, the supportingmember 24 contacts thesecond contact portion 70 of thefastening member 28 through thesecond driving portion 74 of theauxiliary member 32, such that the supportingmember 24 drives thefastening member 28 to recover from the second state S2(shown inFIG. 10 ) to the first state S1 (shown inFIG. 9 ). That is, the supportingmember 24 drives thefastening member 28 to recover from the second state S2 to the first state S1 through thesecond driving portion 74 of theauxiliary member 32. Specifically, when the supportingmember 24 is moved from the second position P2 to the first position P1 relative to thefirst bracket 26 along the second direction D2 opposite to the first direction D1, theauxiliary member 32 is driven by the supportingmember 24 to move along the second direction D2, such that thefirst end 62 a of the limitingfeature 62 is moved towards theconnection member 64, and thesecond end 62 b of the limitingfeature 62 is moved away from theconnection member 64. Thesecond driving portion 74 of theauxiliary member 32 contacts and pushes thesecond contact portion 70 of thefastening member 28, such that thefastening member 28 is pivoted to change from the second state S2 (shown inFIG. 10 ) to the first state S1 (shown inFIG. 9 ). - As shown in
FIG. 11 , when the supportingmember 24 is located at the first position P1 relative to thefirst bracket 26, there is a predetermined distance between thefirst structure 76 of the first lockingmember 80 and thesecond structure 78 of thefirst bracket 26. Preferably, the thirdelastic section 90 and the secondelastic section 88 are close to each other. There is a predetermined distance between thethird structure 82 of the secondelastic section 88 and thefourth structure 84 of thefirst bracket 26. Preferably, thethird structure 82 of the secondelastic section 88 has a guidingsurface 102. For example, the guidingsurface 102 is an inclined surface or a curved surface. Preferably, the releasingfeature 92 of the thirdelastic section 90 is corresponding to the releasingspace 37 of therail member 22, and there is a predetermined distance between thecorresponding feature 93 of the thirdelastic section 90 and the supportingfeature 85 of thefirst bracket 26. - As shown in
FIG. 11 andFIG. 12 , the supportingmember 24 is capable of moving from the first position P1 (shown inFIG. 11 ) to the second position P2 (shown inFIG. 12 ) relative to thefirst bracket 26 along the first direction D1. - The supporting
member 24 is capable of being kept at the second position P2 through cooperation between thefirst structure 76 and thesecond structure 78. For example, thefirst structure 76 of the first lockingmember 80 is capable of engaging with thesecond structure 78 of thefirst bracket 26, such that a first lock mechanism can be provided when the supportingmember 24 is located at the second position P2 relative to thefirst bracket 26. - Preferably, the supporting
member 24 is capable of being kept at the second position P2 through cooperation between thethird structure 82 and thefourth structure 84. For example, during the process that the supportingmember 24 moves from the first position P1 to the second position P2 along the first direction D1, thecorresponding feature 93 of the thirdelastic section 90 contacts the supportingfeature 85 of thefirst bracket 26 to generate a force F (shown inFIG. 12 ), such that the thirdelastic section 90 swings an angle in response to the force F, and the releasingfeature 92 of the thirdelastic section 90 no longer corresponds to the releasingspace 37 of therail member 22 and is supported by thelongitudinal wall 38 of therail member 22. At this moment, the thirdelastic section 90 can accumulate an elastic force. The thirdelastic section 90 no longer closes to the secondelastic section 88, and thethird structure 82 of the secondelastic section 88 is capable of engaging with thefourth structure 84 of thefirst bracket 26, such that a second lock mechanism can be provided when the supportingmember 24 is located at the second position P2 relative to thefirst bracket 26. - Furthermore, when the
first structure 76 of the first lockingmember 80 is disengaged from thesecond structure 78 of thefirst bracket 26, and thethird structure 82 of thesecond locking member 86 is disengaged from thefourth structure 84 of thefirst bracket 26, the supportingmember 24 is capable of returning to the first position P1 (shown inFIG. 11 ) from the second position P2 (shown inFIG. 12 ) relative to thefirst bracket 26. For example, as shown inFIG. 12 , with therail member 22 being capable of moving relative to the supportingmember 24 located at the second position P2 along the first direction D1, the releasingfeature 92 of the thirdelastic section 90 is enable to correspond to the releasingspace 37 of therail member 22 again, and the thirdelastic section 90 releases the elastic force to close to the secondelastic section 88 again, such that thethird structure 82 of the secondelastic section 88 is disengaged from thefourth structure 84 of thefirst bracket 26. Furthermore, with the guidingportion 77 of thefirst structure 76, thefirst structure 76 of the firstelastic section 81 of the first lockingmember 80 is capable of disengaging from thesecond structure 78 of thefirst bracket 26 during the process that the supportingmember 24 returning to the first position P1 from the second position P2 relative to thefirst bracket 26. Alternatively, in other operation mode, the engagement between thefirst structure 76 and thesecond structure 78 and the engagement between thethird structure 82 and thefourth structure 84 can be disengaged manually. - As shown in
FIG. 13 andFIG. 14 , theslide rail mechanism 20 can be mounted to afirst post 104 a of a rack through the at least one first mountingmember 56 of thefirst bracket 26. The supportingmember 24 is capable of moving from the first position P1 (shown inFIG. 13 ) to the second position P2 (shown inFIG. 14 ) along the first direction D1, and the supportingmember 24 is capable of driving thefastening member 28 to change from the first state S1 (shown inFIG. 13 ) to the second state S2 (shown inFIG. 14 ), such that thefastening portion 67 of thefastening member 28 is enable to fasten to thefirst post 104 a. The action principle that the supportingmember 24 drives thefastening member 28 to change from the first state S1 to the second state S2 is recited above (FIG. 9 andFIG. 10 ) and is not repeated for the sake of conciseness. - As shown in
FIG. 14 , with thefirst structure 76 being engaged with the second structure 78 (the first lock mechanism) and thethird structure 82 being engaged with the fourth structure 84 (the second lock mechanism), the supportingmember 24 is capable of being kept at the second position P2 (which can refer toFIG. 10 andFIG. 12 ) relative to thefirst bracket 26. Accordingly, the reliability of the fastingmember 28 in the second state S2 (such as the locking state) can be enhanced. Furthermore, with the arrangement, when thefastening portion 67 of thefastening member 28 is applied to fasten to thefirst post 104 a of the rack, the security can be improved. - As shown in
FIG. 15 , after the at least one first mountingmember 56 of thefirst bracket 26 of theslide rail mechanism 20 being mounted to thefirst post 104 a of the rack, and thefastening member 28 in the second state S2 fastening to thefirst post 104 a, theslide rail mechanism 20 can be mounted to asecond post 104 b of the rack through the at least one second mountingmember 58 of thesecond bracket 34. - To sum up, the
slide rail mechanism 20 according to the embodiment of the present invention includes the following features. - First, the supporting
member 24 wraps a portion of therail member 22, which can enhance the structural strength between thefirst bracket 26 and therail member 22. - Second, the supporting
member 24 can be adjusted to move relative to therail member 22 along the longitudinal direction, which allows thefirst bracket 26 to move a longer distance through the supportingmember 24. - Third, the
first bracket 26 and the supportingmember 24 form a two-section bracket and is movable along therail member 22, which is more suitable for racks with specific depth than the conventional three-section bracket. - Fourth, with cooperation between the
first structure 76 and the second structure 78 (the first lock mechanism), or with cooperation between thethird structure 82 and the fourth structure 84 (the second lock mechanism), the reliability of the fastingmember 28 in the second state S2 (such as the locking state) can be enhanced when the supportingmember 24 is located at the second position P2 relative to thefirst bracket 26. - Fifth, when the supporting
member 24 is located at the first predetermined position X1, a first length A1 (shown inFIG. 1 ) is defined between thefirst bracket 26 and thesecond bracket 34. When the supportingmember 24 is located at the second predetermined position X2, a second length A2 (shown inFIG. 2 ) is defined between thefirst bracket 26 and thesecond bracket 34. The second length A2 is longer than the first length A1. Therefore, theslide rail mechanism 20 can be adapted to two posts spaced by different distances of the rack. - Sixth, the
slide rail mechanism 20 can be mounted to or detached from the rack by a single person who stands in front of the rack. - Those skilled in the art will readily observe that numerous modifications and alterations of the device and method may be made while retaining the teachings of the invention. Accordingly, the above disclosure should be construed as limited only by the metes and bounds of the appended claims.
