参考图1,描绘了模塑系统100的非限制性实施例的图示。模塑系统100配置为能够模塑模塑制品的注塑系统。参考图2A,描述了可以在该系统中模塑的模塑制品150的非限制性示例。模塑制品150是一种多层预成型件,该预成型件可以部分地重塑为容器190,例如通过吹塑或液体模塑等,如图2C所示。模塑系统100广义上包括夹具110、注射单元130、辅助注射单元140、模具160和控制器116。
夹具110的非限制性实施例特别地包括支撑在底座上的固定压板114和可移动压板112。在操作中,可移动压板112借助于夹具致动器114相对于固定压板114可移动,以打开、关闭或夹紧模具160。夹具致动器144连接到控制器116,从而能够被控制器控制其操作。

在本技术的各种实施例中,机器控制器116可以被实现为具有处理器(未单独编号)的计算设备。处理器可以通过使用专用硬件以及能够执行与适当软件相关联的软件的硬件来提供。处理器可以执行一个或多个功能以控制模塑机器100的一个或多个零件的操作。当由处理器提供时,这些功能可以由单个专用处理器、单个共享处理器或多个单独的处理器提供,其中一些处理器可以是共享的。在本技术的一些实施例中,处理器可以是通用处理器,例如中央处理单元(CPU)或专用于特定目的的处理器。此外,术语“处理器”或“控制器”的明确使用不应被解释为专门指能够执行软件的硬件,而是可以隐含地包括且不限于数字信号处理器(DSP)硬件、网络处理器、专用集成电路(ASIC)、现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)、用于存储软件的只读存储器(ROM)、随机存取存储器(RAM)和非易失性存储器。也可以包括常规和/或定制的其它硬件。控制器116可以访问存储计算机可执行指令117的存储器(未示出),该计算机可执行指令117在被执行时使处理器控制模塑机器100的一个或多个零件的操作。
在概述了模塑系统100的结构和操作之后,现在将进一步描述用于模塑模塑制品和容器的各种非限制性实施例以及直接在其上印刷的结构和相关步骤。
参照图2A、2B、2C和2D,示出了如上所述的模塑制品150和由其形成的容器190的非限制性实施例。在本实施例中,模塑制品150是在二次操作中模塑以形成容器的类型的多层预成型件。
模塑制品150广义上包括可配置成限定容器190的存储器皿的本体。本体通常是管状的,具有在开口端的颈部151、在封闭端的基部153和限定于其间的本体部分152。本体部分152和基部153可以重塑以分别提供容器190的相应本体部件192和基体部件193,所述容器190具有由外表皮层194和内表皮层198封装的印刷层196。模塑制品150的颈部151配置成限定容器的相应颈部部件191。颈部151配置成由封闭件盖住以封闭限定在容器190内的体积。在未示出的其他实施例中,模塑制品可以限定能够立即填充和封盖的成品容器(即,不需要通过吹塑、液体模塑等进行任何模塑后转化)。
颈部151、基部153和本体部分152至少部分地由第一热塑性塑料182形成。第一热塑性塑料的组成没有特别限制。适用于容器的热塑性塑料包括例如聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、高密度聚乙烯或聚丙烯。
此外,颈部151、基部153和本体部分152中的至少一个还包括沿着其至少一部分由第二热塑性塑料184形成的印刷层156。印刷层156是光敏的,使得其外观(例如不透明度、颜色等)在暴露于选定特性(即波长、强度等)的激光时改变(即显影)。这样,第二热塑性塑料184的组合物可以本身就是光敏的,或者可以在其中携带添加剂,例如光敏标记186。如图2B所示,印刷层的两侧由第一热塑性塑料182的内表皮层158和外表皮层154封装。在非限制性实施例中,印刷层156配置成沿着本体部分152和基部153两者延伸,使得通过将其重塑为容器190的本体部件192和基体部件193,容器具有大的可印刷区域。上述仅为非限制性实施例,应该认识到印刷层可在模塑制品150内具有任何配置或位置。
第二热塑性塑料184的组成没有特别限制。该热塑性塑料可以具有与第一热塑性塑料类似的组成,例如聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、高密度聚乙烯或聚丙烯。其它合适的热塑性塑料包括赋予所需性能的热塑性塑料,例如,改进的对气体和水分通过容器壁迁移的阻挡性能。因此,合适的热塑性塑料可以包括例如尼龙、聚羟基乙酸(PGA)和乙烯-乙烯醇(EVOH)等。其它合适的热塑性塑料包括被选择为与水接触不稳定(即可溶和/或可降解)的热塑性塑料,例如水溶性聚合物或水可降解聚合物。合适的水溶性聚合物可以包括乙烯乙烯醇、聚乙烯醇、聚乙二醇、葡聚糖、支链淀粉、聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮、聚丙烯酸、聚丙烯酰胺、聚噁唑啉、聚磷酸盐或纤维素。同样,合适的水可降解聚合物可以包括PGA、糖/多糖淀粉、聚乙交酯、聚己内酯、聚乳酸或聚羟基脂肪酸。上述的技术效果可以包括改进的容器可回收性。通过容器190的回收,即通过将容器190研磨成碎片,然后在水溶液中处理,以诱导第二热塑性塑料184的选择性溶解或降解,光敏标记186和第二热塑性塑料184可以与第一热塑性塑料182分离。
为了防止与水接触不稳定的第二热塑性塑料184在容器的使用寿命期间过早降解,印刷层156可以封装在第一热塑性塑料182的表皮层之间。更具体地,印刷层156被由第一热塑性塑料182形成的外表皮层154和内表皮层158封装。
为了进一步提高容器190的可回收性,第一热塑性塑料182可以没有光敏标记186。也就是说,通过在回收过程中分离第一和第二热塑性塑料,优选通过溶解/水解第二热塑性塑料184,而第一热塑性塑料182没有任何光敏标记,因此可以容易地清洁和再利用。
在未示出的其他实施例中,模塑制品和所得容器可以配置成包括多个重叠的印刷层。每个印刷层的光敏特性可以相同或不同。例如,各个印刷层可以配置成对不同波长的激光起反应。此外,一旦暴露于相应波长的激光下显影,各个印刷层可以具有不同的视觉外观(例如颜色)。在未示出的非限制性示例中,模塑制品可以包括五层,其中最外的表皮层由第一热塑性塑料182制成,而剩余层是印刷层,即夹在内表皮层和中间层之间的第一印刷层和夹在外表皮层和中间层之间的第二印刷层,中间层本身由第二热塑性塑料184制成。每个印刷层中的光敏标记可以被显影,例如,以提供不同的原色(即,显影为红色的第一印刷层、显影为黄色的第二印刷层和显影为蓝色的第三印刷层),由此可以通过选择性地触发印刷层的重叠部分来显影诸如绿色、橙色和紫色之类的补色或二次色,来显影完整的颜色阵列。本领域技术人员将认识到,其它的层配置也是可能的。
参考图3A和图3B,描绘了容器190的印刷顺序的非限制性实施例。特别地,图3A所示的是印刷前的容器,而图3B所示的是印刷后的容器190。一种印刷方法包括将一束或多束具有选定特性(即波长、强度等)的激光聚焦到容器190内印刷层的选定部分上,以使其视觉外观发生变化。在该非限制性实施例中,各种装饰性和功能性标识199已经印刷到容器190的面板区域上,具体地是品牌形象/标志和产品名称。
为了提供所需的激光,提供至少一个激光发射器105。激光发射器105连接到用于控制其操作的控制器。激光发射器105的可控特性可以包括例如与从其发射的激光的定位、触发、调制、放大、衰减相关的特性。该控制器可以与模塑机器100的控制器116是同一个,或者可以是单独的控制器。
诸如激光发射器210和任何相关联的容器处理设备的打印设备的位置没有特别限制。参照图4,描绘了具有各种操作元件的系统的非限制性实施例,所述操作元件用于模塑、成形、填充/封盖和印刷其中含有包装产品的成品容器。操作元件可以紧密地集成为公共工作单元中的站,或者可以在某种程度上或完全独立地执行。在所描绘的非限制性实施例中,操作元件包括模塑系统100、成形系统102、印刷系统104以及填充和封盖系统106。在第一操作中,操作模塑系统100以模塑其中具有印刷层的多层模塑制品,例如预成型件。在随后的操作中,根据需要,多层模塑制品可以被送到成形系统上,例如吹塑系统上,以重新成形为容器。随后,容器可以在填充和封盖之前印刷,或者相反,即在填充和封盖之后印刷。
在描述了模塑制品和由其形成的相关容器的各种非限制性实施例之后,现在将补充描述其成形和印刷的基本方法。参考图5,描绘了方法200的简化流程图。广义上来讲,方法200包括在步骤202中模塑具有本体的多层模塑制品,所述本体可配置成限定容器的存储器皿,其中所述本体由第一热塑性塑料形成,并且包括对选定特性(即波长、强度等)的激光具有光敏性的第二热塑性塑料的印刷层。
模塑操作202可以通过各种方式来执行,例如上述的注塑系统100(图1),或者可选地,被配置用于挤压模塑、压塑、注射-压缩模塑、吹气-修整模塑等的模塑系统(未示出)。
根据具体的非限制性示例,模塑操作202包括注塑具有管状本体的模塑制品150,管状本体包括开口端和封闭端,本体具有在开口端的颈部部件191、在封闭端的基体部件193以及限定于其间的本体部件192。
模塑操作202可以包括将第一热塑性塑料182注入由模具160中的嵌件叠层166限定的模腔168中,所述模具160被闭合和夹紧以至少部分地形成颈部151、基部153和本体部分152中的一个或多个。此外,方法200可以包括将第二热塑性塑料184注入模腔168中的步骤,其中第二热塑性塑料184对选定特性(即波长、强度等)的激光具有光敏性以沿着颈部151、基部153和本体部分152中的一个或多个的至少一部分形成印刷层156。在第二注射步骤中,光敏标记186被添加到第二热塑性塑料182中。在此处提供的非限制性示例中,光敏标记通过设置在辅助注射单元140的入口处的混料器/定量给料装置142与第二热塑性塑料一起分散(参考图1)。
方法200还可以包括在步骤204中将模塑制品成形为容器。成形操作204可以通过各种方式来执行,例如吹塑或液体模塑。如上所述,一些模塑制品在模塑后形成成品容器,不需要任何后续成形/吹塑步骤。
根据具体的非限制性示例,成形操作204包括吹塑本体部分152和基部153,以分别提供容器190的本体部件192和基体部件193,其中模塑制品150的颈部151配置成限定容器的颈部部件191。
方法200还包括容器的印刷(步骤206)。印刷步骤可以在印刷系统104中利用激光选择性地照射印刷层196来执行。或者,印刷系统104的元件,即激光发射器105,可以集成到系统的其他操作元件中。
最后,方法200还可以包括容器的填充和封盖(步骤208)。填充和封盖步骤可以在填充和封盖系统106中执行。
模塑后的步骤的操作顺序没有特别限制。印刷可以在容器模塑后的任何阶段进行。
如上所述,根据具体的非限制性示例,第二热塑性材料184被选择为与水接触不稳定。上述可以有利于容器的回收。容器回收方法可以包括将容器190研磨成碎片,在水溶液中处理碎片以诱导第二热塑性塑料184的溶解或降解,以及将第二热塑性塑料184的光敏标记和降解产物与第一热塑性塑料182分离。
为了使用自动化机械来执行这样的方法,可以提供非暂时性计算机可读介质117,该非暂时性计算机可读介质存储计算机可执行指令,该计算机可执行指令在被执行时可以使得模塑机器100的控制器116或其他控制器执行该方法。
已经描述了用于模塑模塑制品(例如预成型件)和可由其重塑而成的容器的结构和步骤的各种非限制性实施例,值得注意的是,其形状和构造没有特别限制。更普遍地,预成型件具有适于形成容器的任何中间形状(包括盘、任何形状的典型预成型件、挤出管等)。例如,模塑制品(例如预成型件)的本体可以是中空的,并且具有一个或多个表面,例如圆柱形、管状、圆锥形、卵形、矩形。作为另一个示例,本体可以限定实心块(即不是中空的),例如盘形,其中该块可以重塑以限定容器。以上将通过下面的附加非限制性实施例进一步说明。
同样,容器是适于容纳气体、液体或固体介质或其组合的任意形状、成形或组装的三维结构。例如,容器可以具有典型的中空圆柱形形状。或者,容器可以具有更复杂的形状,例如通常用于包装个人护理产品的形状,具体示例包括椭圆形、具有偏置颈部或方形的容器。

所述印刷层(156)由外表皮层(154)和内表皮层(158)封装,其中,所述外表皮层(154)和所述内表皮层(158)由所述第一热塑性塑料(182)形成,并且所述印刷层(156)由所述第二热塑性塑料(184)形成;
所述第一热塑性塑料(182)没有光敏标记(186),由此在溶解或水解第二热塑性塑料(184)的回收过程中分离所述第一热塑性塑料和所述第二热塑性塑料,以很容易地清洁和重复使用。
2.根据权利要求1所述的模塑制品(150、250、350、450、550、650),其中,所述本体是预成型件,所述预成型件的至少一部分能够重塑以限定所述容器(190、290)。
3.根据权利要求1所述的模塑制品(150),其中,所述第一热塑性塑料(182)是聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、高密度聚乙烯或聚丙烯中的一种。
4.根据权利要求1所述的模塑制品(150),还包括多个重叠的印刷层。
5.根据权利要求4所述的模塑制品(150),其中,所述印刷层配置成对不同波长的激光起反应。
6.根据权利要求5所述的模塑制品(150),其中,每个所述印刷层中的光敏标记在暴露于相应波长的激光时形成不同的原色,由此可以通过选择性地触发所述印刷层的重叠部分来形成完整的颜色阵列。
7.一种容器(190、290),包括:
配置成限定存储器皿的本体;
所述本体包括印刷层(196),所述印刷层对选定特性的激光具有光敏性以改变其视觉外观,由此可以在所述容器(190、290)上进行印刷;
所述本体包括至少一层第一热塑性塑料(182);并且
所述印刷层(156、256、356、456、556、656)包括第二热塑性塑料(184),所述第二热塑性塑料(184)为本身就是光敏的材料和携带有光敏标记的添加剂的材料中的至少一种;
所述第二热塑性塑料(184)是水溶性聚合物或水可降解聚合物中的一种;
所述印刷层(156)由外表皮层(154)和内表皮层(158)封装,其中,所述外表皮层(154)和所述内表皮层(158)由所述第一热塑性塑料(182)形成,并且所述印刷层(156)由所述第二热塑性塑料(184)形成;
所述第一热塑性塑料(182)没有光敏标记(186),由此在溶解或水解第二热塑性塑料(184)的回收过程中分离所述第一热塑性塑料和所述第二热塑性塑料,以很容易地清洁和重复使用。
8.根据权利要求7所述的容器(190、290),其中,所述本体包括在开口端的颈部部件(191、291)、在封闭端的基体部件(193、293)和限定于其间的本体部件(192、291)。
9.根据权利要求7所述的容器(190、290),其中,所述第一热塑性塑料(182)是聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、高密度聚乙烯或聚丙烯中的一种。
10.根据权利要求7所述的容器(190、290),还包括多个重叠的印刷层。
11.根据权利要求10所述的容器(190、290),其中,所述印刷层配置成对不同波长的激光起反应。
12.根据权利要求11所述的容器(190、290),其中,每个所述印刷层中的光敏标记在暴露于相应波长的激光时形成不同的原色,由此可以通过选择性地触发所述印刷层的重叠部分来形成完整的颜色阵列。
13.一种用于模塑容器(190、290)并在其上印刷的方法(200),包括:
模塑(202)具有本体的模塑制品,所述本体能够配置成限定所述容器的存储器皿,其中,所述本体包括印刷层(196),所述印刷层对选定特性的激光具有光敏性以改变其视觉外观,所述本体包括至少一层第一热塑性塑料(182),并且所述印刷层(156、256、356、456、556、656)包括第二热塑性塑料(184),所述第二热塑性塑料(184)为本身就是光敏的材料和携带有光敏标记的添加剂的材料中的至少一种;以及
通过激光选择性照射所述印刷层(196)在所述容器上进行印刷(206);
所述第二热塑性塑料(184)是水溶性聚合物或水可降解聚合物中的一种;
所述印刷层(156)由外表皮层(154)和内表皮层(158)封装,其中,所述外表皮层(154)和所述内表皮层(158)由所述第一热塑性塑料(182)形成,并且所述印刷层(156)由所述第二热塑性塑料(184)形成;
所述第一热塑性塑料(182)没有光敏标记(186),由此在溶解或水解第二热塑性塑料(184)的回收过程中分离所述第一热塑性塑料和所述第二热塑性塑料,以很容易地清洁和重复使用。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法(200),还包括:
将所述模塑制品成形(204)为所述容器,并至少部分地对其进行重塑。
15.根据权利要求13所述的方法(200),还包括:
填充和封盖(208),其中,所述印刷(206)可以在所述容器的所述填充和封盖之前或之后进行。
16.根据权利要求13所述的方法(200),其中,
所述模塑制品的所述模塑包括在其中模塑多个重叠的印刷层。
17.根据权利要求16所述的方法(200),其中,所述印刷层配置成对不同波长的激光起反应。
18.根据权利要求17所述的方法(200),其中,所述容器的所述印刷包括用相应波长的激光选择性照射所述印刷层以产生不同的原色,由此可以通过选择性地触发所述印刷层的重叠部分来形成完整的颜色阵列。
19.一种非暂时性计算机可读介质(117),所述非暂时性计算机可读介质存储计算机可执行指令,所述计算机可执行指令在被执行时能够使控制器(116)执行根据权利要求13至18中任一项所述的方法(200)。
