In order to better explain the improvement point of the present application, the following description is made of the general structure of the improved front display panel 100 a. Fig. 4 is a schematic partial structure view of the front display panel 100a with improved structure. The display panel 100a before the structural improvement includes a display area 10a and a non-display area 20a, the non-display area 20a is provided with a connecting circuit 30a and a chip 40a, the connecting circuit 30a is connected with the display area 20a, and the chip 40a is connected with the connecting circuit 30a through a plurality of fan-out wires 50a, so as to be connected with the display area 10a, so as to control the display content and the display effect of the display area 10 a. Before the structure is improved, the fan-out trace 50a is a single-layer line, in an embodiment, the fan-out trace 50a is a plurality of connecting lines parallel to each other, and in this embodiment, the chip 40a needs to be made longer enough to connect all the fan-out traces 50 a.
Referring to fig. 5, in another embodiment, to make the length of the chip 40a smaller, a portion of the fan-out trace 50a includes an inclined portion 52a and a non-inclined portion 54a connected to the inclined portion 52 a. As to which technical solution is adopted, when the number, line width and adjacent line spacing of the fan-out traces 50a are the smallest, the height h of the non-display area 20a for distributing the fan-out traces 50a has a limit value, and in the technical solution before the structural improvement, the fan-out traces 50a are single-layer metal lines, as shown in fig. 6.
Referring to fig. 1 and 7, in the present application, in order to further compress the height h of the non-display area 20 for distributing the fan-out traces 50, so that the non-display area 20 is made narrower, the fan-out traces 50 are made as two parts arranged in different layers. In particular, the same fan-out trace 50 includes a first portion 52 and a second portion 54. The first portion 52 is connected to the connecting circuit 30, and the first portion 52 is bent to another layer and extends toward the display area 10, so as to reduce the height h of the non-display area 20 for distributing the fan-out traces 50.
Specifically, in an embodiment, the display area 10 is an area of the electronic device 300 displaying pictures, videos, and the like, and a plurality of pixel units are disposed in the display area 10. The non-display area 20 is located at the bottom of the electronic device 300, and is used for distributing areas of the chip 40, the circuit, the home key, and the like, which control the display content and the display effect of the display area 10.
The non-display area 20 is provided with a connection circuit 30 connected to the display area 10, and the connection circuit 30 is used for being connected to the fan-out trace 50 and receiving information transmitted by the fan-out trace 50. Specifically, in an embodiment, the connection circuit 30 is a multiplexer circuit, and the multiplexer circuit can select any one of the data as an output signal to be transmitted to the display area 10 according to a requirement in a multi-channel data transmission process.
Further, the display device further comprises a color filter 70, and the color filter 70 is covered on the display area 20 and a part of the non-display area 20. The Color filter 70(Color filter) is an optical filter that presents colors that precisely select a small range of wavelengths of light to be passed, while reflecting off other undesired wavelengths. The color filter 70 is disposed on a side of the display area 10 close to the user, so that the human eye can receive a saturated color light.
The chip 40 is connected to the display area 10 by connecting one end thereof to the circuit board 60 and the other end thereof to the fan-out trace 50 and connecting the fan-out trace 50 to the connecting circuit 30. Thereby enabling the chip 40 to exchange or transmit information with the circuit main board 60, so that the chip 40 transmits the information to the display area 10 through the fan-out traces 50 and the connecting circuit 30 to control the display content and the display effect of the display area 10.
Specifically, in an embodiment, the chip 40 includes a first pin 42 and a second pin 44, the first pin 42 is connected to the end of the fan-out trace 50 away from the connection circuit 30, and the second pin 44 is electrically connected to the circuit board 60. It will be understood that a row of first pins 42 is formed on a chip, and each first pin 42 corresponds to one fan-out trace 50.
Further, in an embodiment, the display panel 100 further includes a bonding pin 80, one end of the bonding pin 80 is electrically connected to the second pin 44 of the chip 40, and the other end of the bonding pin 80 is connected to the circuit board 60. It is understood that the binding foot 80 is made of metal for transmitting information.
Further, in one embodiment, the bonding pins 80 are not made long due to the distance between the circuit board 60 and the second pins 44 of the chip 40. Therefore, in this embodiment, a metal connection line 90 is further included, one end of the metal connection line 90 is connected to the second pin 44 of the chip 40, and the other end of the metal connection line 90 is connected to the bonding pin 80.
The fan-out trace 50 is connected to the connection circuit 30 at one end and connected to the chip 40 at the other end, i.e. connected to the first pin 42 of the chip 40. Specifically, the fan-out trace 50 includes a plurality of lines, and each fan-out trace 50 includes a first portion 52 and a second portion 54 bent from the first portion 52 and extending toward the display area 10, and disposed on a different layer from the first portion 52. The ends of the first portion 52 of the fan-out trace 50 are connected to the connecting circuit 30 and the ends of the second portion 54 are connected to the chip 40. With the above structure, the second portion 54 of the fan-out trace 50 is pulled back, i.e. extended toward the display area 10, and the connection position of the chip 40 and the fan-out trace 50 is the end of the second portion 54 of the fan-out trace 50. Therefore, by adopting the above structure, the chip 40 is closer to the display area 10 than the connection position of the fan-out trace 50 before the structure improvement, that is, the chip 40 is closer to the display area 10, the height a (shown in fig. 1) of the non-display area 20 for distributing the fan-out trace 50 can be made smaller, and further the height b of the whole non-display area 20 along the length direction of the display area 10 is made smaller, so that the non-display area 20 is made narrower, that is, the display screen assembly 200 and the electronic device 300 applying the display panel 100 have narrower lower frames, so as to further improve the screen occupation ratio.
It is understood that in an embodiment, the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the same fan-out trace 50 are electrically connected except for the intersection, and the insulating layer 56 is disposed on the remaining portions of the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the same fan-out trace 50, as shown in fig. 8, to prevent the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the same fan-out trace 50 from being short-circuited and failing to operate normally. In other embodiments, the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the same fan-out trace 50 may be electrically connected except for the intersection, and a gap 58 larger than a predetermined value is formed between the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the same fan-out trace 50, as shown in fig. 7, and the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the same fan-out trace 50 are prevented from being short-circuited by the gap 58.
Specifically, in the present application, based on the principle that the display panel 100, the display panel assembly 200, or the electronic device 300 is made thinner and thinner, the chip 40 is made smaller as much as possible, and the length of the multiplexer circuit 30 is greater than that of the chip 40, so that the first portion 52 of the fan-out trace 50 needs to be close to the center line c of the display area 10 and the non-display area 20 to connect all the fan-out traces 50 with the chip 40.
Specifically, in an embodiment, among the plurality of fan-out traces 50 connected to the chips 40, the first portion 52 of one or more fan-out traces 50 closest to the center line c of the display area 10 and the non-display area 20 is a straight line parallel to the center line c, and the first portions 52 of other fan-out traces 50 distributed away from both sides of the center line c each include an inclined portion 522 and a non-inclined portion 524 connected to the inclined portion 522 at an included angle. The inclined portion 522 is disposed at an angle to the center line c, and the non-inclined portion 524 is parallel to the center line c. The second portion 52 is formed by bending the non-inclined portion 524 and extending toward the display area 10. Optionally, in an embodiment, an included angle between the inclined portion 522 of the fan-out trace 50 and the center line c is greater than or equal to a preset angle, that is, the inclined portion 522 of the fan-out trace 50 is inclined to the center line c to a greater extent than that in the scheme before the structural improvement, so as to further reduce the height a of the non-display area 20 for distributing the fan-out trace 50.
Referring to fig. 9, optionally, in another embodiment, the first portion 52 of the fan-out trace 50 includes an inclined portion 522 and non-inclined portions 524 at two ends of the inclined portion 522, where the inclined portion 524 is disposed at an angle to the center line c, and the non-inclined portions 524 are parallel to the center line c, which is not limited in this respect.
In one embodiment, the second portion 54 of the fan-out trace 50 is a straight line, and the orthographic projection of the second portion 54 of the fan-out trace 50 and the orthographic projection of the first portion 52 on the non-display area 20 at least partially overlap, so that the chip 40 is disposed closer to the display area 10.
Referring to fig. 10, in one embodiment, the second portion 54 is angled with respect to the first portion 52. Specifically, in an embodiment, the end of the second portion 54 is closer to the center line c of the non-display area 20 and the display area 10 than the intersection position of the first portion 52 and the second portion 54, and the second portions 54 of the fan-out traces 50 on both sides of the center line c are close to each other like the center line c, so that the length of the chip 40 can be made shorter.
Referring to fig. 11, in yet another embodiment, the crossing position of the first portion 52 and the second portion 54 of the fan-out trace 50 is closer to the center line c of the non-display area 20 and the display area 10 than the end of the second portion 54, that is, the second portions 54 of the fan-out trace 50 on both sides of the center line c are slightly diffused and distributed away from the center line c to both sides, which is not particularly limited.
Referring to fig. 12, in yet another embodiment, the second portion 54 of the partial fan-out trace 50 includes a first extension 542 and a second extension 544, and the first extension 542 is disposed at an angle to the second extension 544. With the above structure, since the second portion 54 includes the first extending portion 542 and the second extending portion 544 disposed at an included angle, the length of the second portion 54 in the fan-out trace 50 is extended, and the length of the first portion 52 in the fan-out trace 50 is shortened. Thereby further shortening the non-display area 20 for distributing the height a of the fan-out traces 50 to be smaller. It can be understood that the shapes of the first extension 542 and the second extension 544 are formed during the manufacturing process, and after the formation, the shapes are hard and not soft, and will not deform along with the shaking or dropping of the electronic device 300.
With reference to fig. 7 and 8, specifically, with the structure of the above embodiments, the distance between the end surface of the chip 40 close to the display area 20 and the end surface of the color filter 70 close to one end of the chip 40 is less than or equal to a preset value. It is understood that the chip 40 in the present application is disposed closer to the color filter 70 than the structure before the modification. In an embodiment, the predetermined value is zero (this is not shown), that is, the end surface of the chip 40 close to the display area 10 is attached to the end surface of the color filter 70 close to the end of the chip 40, and the lower frame of the display panel 100 is made narrowest.
It is understood that the second portion 54 of the fan-out trace 50 closest to the center line c of the display area 10 and the non-display area 20 may be a straight line parallel to the center line c without the first extension 542 and the second extension 544 described above.
The above description is only for the purpose of illustrating embodiments of the present application and is not intended to limit the scope of the present application, and all modifications of equivalent structures and equivalent processes, which are made by the contents of the specification and the drawings of the present application or are directly or indirectly applied to other related technical fields, are also included in the scope of the present application.
