The invention discloses a cable surface water removing device for a cable production line, which comprises a controller, a water scraping device and a water wiping device, wherein the water removing device comprises a bottom plate and two wiping units arranged on the bottom plate, and each wiping unit is provided with a circular sponge part which can rotate and move horizontally; the controller can control the first motor to enable the water wiping device to be in a wiping state and a non-wiping state, in the wiping state, the sponge parts of the two wiping units are abutted to the cable to be dewatered, and in the non-wiping state, the sponge parts of the two wiping units are not abutted to the cable to be dewatered. The water removal device has good water removal effect.
