Detailed Description
As described above, in the LTE system, an Internet Protocol (IP) flat network architecture based on packet switching is adopted, and both the data service and the IMS service in the LTE system are based on an IP network.
The inventor researches to find that, in the LTE system, after receiving a Paging (Paging) message, a terminal cannot distinguish a service type according to the Paging message, that is, cannot distinguish whether the Paging message is a page of a data service or a page of an IMS service. After receiving the paging message, the terminal tries to establish the RRC connection, and after the RRC connection is established, the service types can be distinguished.
However, after the terminal distinguishes the service type, the terminal may not process the service, which may result in waste of system resources and increase power consumption of the terminal.
In the embodiment of the invention, the terminal receives the paging message, the paging message comprises the paging type, and whether RRC connection is established or not is determined based on the paging type. The paging type is used for indicating the service type of the paging message, and the service type of the paging message comprises a data service and an IMS service.
Therefore, the terminal can determine whether to establish the RRC connection based on the paging type, and further avoid the situation that the RRC connection needs to be disconnected due to the service type after the RRC connection is established. Compared with the method that the terminal tries to establish the RRC connection with the network side after receiving the paging message, the communication method in the embodiment of the invention has higher resource utilization rate.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Fig. 1 is a communication method in an embodiment of the present invention, which is applicable to a terminal, and includes the following steps:
step S11, receiving a paging message, wherein the paging message includes a paging type, the paging type represents a service type of the paging message, and the service type of the paging message includes a data service and an IMS service;
step S12, determining whether to establish RRC connection based on the paging type.
In the embodiment of the present invention, an IMS service refers to a service that is accessed to an IMS for processing, and a data service refers to a non-IMS service, that is, a data service other than an IMS service.
Further, the data service in the embodiment of the present invention may be a Packet Switched (PS) data service supported in a 2G/3G system, for example, a common service for browsing a web page, a service for application software, and the like.
The IMS Service is a Circuit Switched (CS) domain Service that can be supported in 2G/3G, and can include services that are further developed, for example, the IMS Service can include conventional Circuit domain Service, video call, conference call, emergency call, supplementary Service, instant messaging Service, group chat Service, and new Rich multimedia Service, such as converged Communication Service/Suite, RCS, and the like.
As can be seen from the above classification, the IMS service is generally more urgent and requires more time-efficiency and communication quality than the data service, which is relatively selectable and settable. In addition, as for the current domestic charging method, the data service usually charges the flow rate, and the IMS service such as VoLTE service usually combines with the 2G/3G network to charge according to the time length.
The user of the terminal can typically perform rights setting for the data service. For example, when the monthly data traffic of the user is insufficient, the data traffic can be set to be closed to avoid the overrun.
Therefore, the embodiment of the invention divides the paging type into the data service and the IMS service, sets the paging type in the paging message, and combines the practical application condition, so that the judgment of determining whether to establish the RRC connection based on the paging type is more suitable for the practical requirement, and the RRC connection can be better connected with the stock terminal.
The determining whether to establish the RRC connection based on the paging type in step S12 may include: and determining whether to establish RRC connection or not based on the paging type and by combining preset information of the terminal and/or the type of the terminal.
The preset information may be a setting of the terminal for a data service, or may also be a setting of a priority level by the multi-card terminal, and the like. The types of terminals may include dual-subscriber-card single radio frequency terminals, dual-subscriber-card dual radio frequency terminals, and the like.
Whether the RRC connection is established or not is determined by combining preset information of the terminal and/or the type of the terminal based on the paging type, so that whether the RRC connection needs to be established or not can be judged more comprehensively and more carefully, and the waste of resources is further avoided. The following further describes the present invention.
In an embodiment of the present invention, if the paging type indicates that the service type of the paging message is a data service, and the preset information of the terminal indicates that the data service is closed, the RRC connection is not triggered to be established.
As mentioned above, the user of the terminal can generally perform the permission setting for the data service. If the terminal user sets that the terminal is prohibited from using the data traffic, when the type of the paging message is the data service, the terminal does not continue to perform the service corresponding to the paging message even if the RRC connection is established, and at this time, the establishment of the RRC connection may cause resource waste and may increase power consumption of the terminal.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the type of the terminal is a single radio frequency dual card dual standby terminal, the first user card is performing a data service or an IMS service, the second user card receives the paging message, and if the paging type is a data service, the RRC connection is not triggered to be established.
When the terminal type is a single radio frequency card dual standby terminal, if the first user card is performing a service, the data service of the second user card is not processed, so that the establishment of the RRC connection is not triggered, which is beneficial to saving network resources and reducing terminal power consumption.
In addition, when the first user card performs the IMS service, if the RRC connection is frequently established/disconnected, the quality of the service of the first user card may also be affected.
The single-radio frequency dual-card dual-standby terminal may also perform setting of preset information, specifically, may set a priority of a service or a priority of a user card.
For example, the priority of the IMS service may be set higher than the priority of the data service, in this case, when the first user card performs data service processing, if the service type of the paging message received by the second user card is the IMS service, the RRC connection may be established, and if the service type of the paging message received by the second user card is the data service, the RRC connection may not be established.
Or, a priority relationship between the second user card and the first user card may be set, or a priority relationship between the service type of the second user card and the service type of the first user card may be set.
In summary, in the embodiment of the present invention, whether to establish RRC connection can be determined in a more flexible manner based on the paging type, so that diversified user requirements can be met, and system resources can be saved.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a paging method, which is suitable for a network side and comprises the following steps:
step S21, determining a paging message, wherein the paging message includes a paging type, the paging type is used for indicating a service type of the paging message, and the service type of the paging message includes a data service and an IMS service;
step S22, sending the paging message to the terminal.
Wherein the paging type may be represented by an enumerated value, different enumerated values represent different traffic types, and determining the paging type may include determining the enumerated value of the paging type.
For example, an enumerated parameter may be newly added in a paging record (PagingRecord), which may be named "PagingCause", and enumerated values may be denoted as "imsSevice" and "dataview". An enumeration value "imsSevice" may be used to indicate that the service type is an IMS service, and an enumeration value "datadevice" may indicate that the service type is a data service.
