Description

Paging method and related equipment
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a paging method and a related device.
Background
When network side equipment such as a base station needs to communicate with a terminal, a Paging message can be sent to the terminal first; after receiving the paging message, the terminal may establish a communication connection with the network side device if determining to respond to the paging message.
Taking the base station as an example, the upgraded base station can support that the paging message carries the paging cause value, and the current paging cause value indicates that the service triggering the paging message is voice (voice); the terminal can know that the paging is related to the paging of the voice service definitely according to the paging reason value carried in the paging message, and can decide whether to accept the paging. However, when the terminal receives a paging message sent by a base station which is not upgraded, or receives a paging message which is sent by an upgraded base station and does not carry a paging cause value; since the terminal cannot know whether the paging message is a voice paging message, the terminal generally connects to the base station to see what service-triggered paging message and then determines whether to respond to the paging message, and thus, the terminal cannot quickly distinguish the service triggered by the paging message, which results in very low processing efficiency of the terminal for voice paging.

Detailed Description
The technical solution in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention.
It should be understood that the terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and claims of this application and in the drawings are used for distinguishing between different objects and not for describing a particular order. Furthermore, the terms "include" and "have," as well as any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion. For example, a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not limited to only those steps or elements listed, but may alternatively include other steps or elements not listed, or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
Reference in the specification to "an embodiment" means that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment can be included in at least one embodiment of the invention. The appearances of the phrase in various places in the specification are not necessarily all referring to the same embodiment, nor are separate or alternative embodiments mutually exclusive of other embodiments. It is explicitly and implicitly understood by the person skilled in the art that the described embodiments of the invention can be combined with other embodiments.
The paging method shown in this embodiment may be applied to a terminal (i.e., a User Equipment (UE)) or a base station, where the terminal includes, but is not limited to, a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a wearable device, a sensor, an internet of things device, a multimedia device, a streaming media device, and other electronic devices. The base station includes, but is not limited to, a base station in a communication system such as a 4G base station, a 5G base station, a 6G base station, etc. Wherein the base station can communicate with the terminal. In addition, another paging method shown in the embodiment of the present invention may be applied to a terminal or a network side device, where the network side device may be a base station, a core network, and the like, and the network side device may communicate with the terminal.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a paging scenario in the prior art; the terminal takes the handset 103 as an example, the handset 103 is a handset supporting dual SIM (Subscriber Identity Module), i.e. a dual mode handset, and includes a SIM1 and a SIM2, the SIM1 corresponds to a first network 101 of a first operator, and the SIM2 corresponds to a second network 102 of a second operator, where the first network 101 and the second network 102 may be 4G or 5G networks. While the SIM1 is in a connected state with the first network 101, the SIM2 needs to periodically listen for paging messages at the second network 102 and determine whether to respond to a page by the second network 102 based on the type of paging message. Specifically, when determining the type of the paging message, since the paging message does not carry the paging cause value, the handset 103 needs to disconnect the SIM1 from the first network 101 and establish a connection state between the SIM2 and the second network 102, so as to determine what service-triggered paging decision is to respond to the paging message. It can be seen that, on the one hand, determining the trigger service type of the paging message will affect the normal service operation of the SIM 1; on the other hand, the mobile phone 103 cannot quickly distinguish the trigger service of the paging message, so that the processing efficiency of the terminal for voice paging is very low.
Therefore, the embodiment of the invention provides a paging method, which can quickly determine the trigger service type corresponding to the paging message sent by the base station, and improve the paging response efficiency of the terminal.
First, the embodiment of the present invention provides a paging method applied to a terminal, where the paging method may be performed by the terminal itself or a chip in the terminal. Referring to fig. 2 and fig. 3, fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a paging method according to an embodiment of the present invention; fig. 3 is an interaction flow diagram of a paging method according to an embodiment of the present invention; the paging method comprises the following steps:
step 201, receiving downlink control information and/or system information sent by a base station, where the downlink control information and/or system information includes paging indication information, and the paging indication information is used to indicate whether the base station supports sending a paging message carrying a paging cause value.
Specifically, the Downlink Control Information is Downlink Control Information, DCI. The System Information includes a System Information Block (SIB) or the System Information includes a SIB group (SIB set) composed of at least one SIB, and the SIB is System Information transmitted by the base station. In the embodiment of the present invention, the base station 301 carries paging indication information in the downlink control information and/or the system information, where the paging indication information is used to indicate whether the base station supports sending a paging message carrying a paging cause value, and the base station may issue the downlink control information and/or the system information in a unicast or broadcast manner. Alternatively, the paging indication information may be represented by a paging indication identifier, for example, "1" represents that the base station supports sending the paging message carrying the paging cause value, and "0" represents that the base station does not support sending the paging message carrying the paging cause value.
Further, a downlink physical control channel PDCCH carries downlink control information sent by the base station to the terminal, where the downlink control information includes information such as uplink and downlink resource allocation, HARQ information, and power control. And the downlink control channel comprises at least one of the following channels: a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (EPDCCH), a Narrowband Physical Downlink Control Channel (NPDCCH), and a Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) PDCCH.
Step 202, determining a paging trigger service corresponding to a first paging message sent by the base station according to the carrying states of the paging indication information and the paging cause value.
Specifically, the carrying state of the paging cause value includes that the paging message carries the paging cause value and the paging message does not carry the paging cause value. And the paging trigger service includes voice service and non-voice service. After receiving the first paging message sent by the base station 301, the terminal 302 may determine the paging trigger service corresponding to the first paging message according to the paging indication information and the carrying state of the paging cause value of the first paging message. When the paging indication information indicates that the base station supports sending the paging message carrying the paging cause value, and the first paging message sent by the base station does not carry the paging cause value, the terminal may determine that the paging trigger service corresponding to the first paging message is a non-voice service. And when the paging indication information indicates that the base station supports sending the paging message carrying the paging cause value, and the first paging message sent by the base station carries the paging cause value, the terminal may determine that the paging trigger service corresponding to the first paging message is a voice service.
Therefore, by using the paging method, the terminal can quickly determine the trigger service type corresponding to the first paging message sent by the base station, and the paging response efficiency of the terminal is further effectively improved. Compared with the prior art, the paging method of the embodiment of the invention does not need to establish connection with the base station when determining the paging trigger service, so that the original service execution of the terminal cannot be influenced; moreover, the paging method of the embodiment of the invention can reduce/avoid missed calls of the user to a certain extent, and improve the user experience.
Particularly, when the terminal determines that the base station does not support sending the paging message carrying the paging cause value according to the paging indication information, after the terminal receives the first paging message of the base station, the terminal needs to be connected to the base station to determine to trigger the paging trigger service corresponding to the first paging message; the method for determining the paging trigger service may be a method in the prior art, and is not particularly limited.
In one possible embodiment, referring to fig. 3, the paging method further includes:
and responding to the first paging message according to the paging trigger service and the first preset response rule.
Specifically, the terminal 302 responds to the first paging message according to the paging trigger service determined in step 202 and a first preset response rule, where the first preset response rule may be set according to the actual need of the terminal 302. For example, the first preset response rule may be set as: for the paging triggered by the voice service, responding to the paging triggered by the voice service when the terminal is in an idle state, and feeding back busy indication information in a connection state; in addition, when receiving voice paging in a connection state, the method can also be set to output a paging reminding message at the terminal. For the paging triggered by the non-voice service, when the first preset response rule can be set to be in an idle state, the paging triggered by the non-voice service is not responded, and a paging reminding message is output at the terminal; and when the connection state is in a connection state, the paging triggered by the non-voice service is not responded and/or the busy indication information is not fed back. Referring to fig. 1, the terminal is exemplified by a dual-card handset, including a SIM1 and a SIM2, assuming that the handset 103 is in a connected state of SIM1 and the handset 103 is executing a service of SIM 1; at this time, the mobile phone 103 receives the first paging message sent by the base station of the SIM2, and determines that the paging trigger service of the first paging message is the voice service by using the above method, the mobile phone 103 feeds back busy indication information (such as "busy") to the base station, and keeps the connection state of the SIM1, and displays a paging alert message on the mobile phone 103 to alert the user that the voice paging request of the SIM2 is accessed. When the handset 103 is in the idle state and no service is being performed, a voice page from the SIM2 is received and will be responded to.
Based on the above paging method embodiment, the present invention further provides a terminal, and referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of a terminal provided in the embodiment of the present invention; the terminal includes:

and the chip is also used for determining a paging trigger service corresponding to the first paging message sent by the base station according to the paging indication information and the carrying state of the paging reason value.

sending downlink control information and/or system information to a terminal, wherein the downlink control information and/or system information comprises paging indication information, and the paging indication information is used for indicating whether a base station supports sending a paging message carrying a paging reason value; and the terminal determines the paging trigger service corresponding to the first paging message sent by the base station according to the carrying states of the paging indication information and the paging cause value.
In the embodiment, for the specific description of the paging method, reference may be made to the description of the paging method applied to the terminal, and the description of the beneficial effects of the same method is not repeated.

In the embodiment, for the specific description of the base station, reference may be made to the description of the paging method applied to the terminal, and further description is not repeated for the beneficial effect description using the same method.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a paging method, which is applied to the terminal, wherein the paging method can be executed by the terminal or a chip in the terminal. Referring to fig. 5 and fig. 6, fig. 5 is a schematic flowchart of another paging method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 6 is a schematic interactive flowchart of another paging method provided in the embodiment of the present invention; the paging method comprises the following steps:
step 501, receiving a paging message which is sent by a network side device and carries a paging cause value, wherein the paging cause value comprises a voice-triggered paging cause value and a non-voice-triggered paging cause value;
specifically, the network side device 601 includes a base station, a core network, and the like, where the base station may send a paging message to the terminal 602, and the core network may send a paging message to the base station, and the base station forwards the paging message to the terminal 602. Wherein the paging message includes a paging cause value, the paging cause value includes a voice triggered paging cause value indicating a voice service triggered paging and a non-voice triggered paging cause value indicating a non-voice service triggered paging, wherein different paging cause values may be represented by different paging cause identifications, for example, "voice" is the voice triggered paging cause value and "non-voice" is the non-voice triggered paging cause value.
In addition, the voice service includes a multimedia telephony (MMTel) service and a CS domain telephony service. Mmtel (multimedia telephony) is an IMS-based multimedia telephony service standard developed jointly by the two major standardization bodies of ETSI/TISPAN and 3GPP, is a global standard specification, and supports telecommunications operators to evolve the conventional circuit-switched service into an IP-based real-time multimedia telephony service, including voice and video calls, messaging services, video image sharing, and the like, while supporting fixed and mobile broadband access. The CS domain (Circuit switched domain) refers to all network element entities in the core network that provide Circuit switched type connections for user services, and all network element entities that support related signaling. Circuit-switched connections allocate dedicated network resources when a connection is established and release dedicated resources when a connection is released. In short, the CS network provides a call service for a user, and when the user makes a call through the CS network, the CS network allocates a fixed channel to both parties of the call, unlike the transmission of voice through an IP packet manner, such as QQ or wechat. The user can always occupy the 'dedicated' channel during the whole conversation, and other people have no way to occupy the channel. When the call is over, the CS network releases the channel for the next call assigned to another user.
Step 502, determining a paging trigger service corresponding to the paging message according to the paging cause value.
Specifically, the terminal 602 may determine, according to the paging cause value in the paging message, a paging trigger service corresponding to the paging message.
By using the paging method, the trigger service type corresponding to the paging message sent by the network side equipment can be quickly determined based on the paging message, which is beneficial to improving the paging response efficiency of the terminal. Compared with the prior art, the paging method of the embodiment of the invention does not need to establish connection with the base station when determining the paging trigger service, thereby not influencing the original service execution of the terminal; moreover, the paging method of the embodiment of the invention can reduce/avoid missed calls of the user to a certain extent, and improve the user experience.
In one possible embodiment, referring to fig. 6, the paging method further includes:
and responding the paging message according to the paging trigger service and a second preset response rule.
Specifically, the terminal 602 responds to the paging message of the network side device 601 according to the paging trigger service and a second preset response rule, where the second preset response rule may be set according to an actual need of the terminal 602. For example, the second preset response rule may be set as: and responding to the paging triggered by the voice service for the paging triggered by the voice service. And for the paging triggered by the non-voice service, the paging triggered by the non-voice service is not responded.
After the paging trigger service is determined based on the paging message, different responses can be rapidly made to the paging message of the network side equipment, and the paging effect efficiency is improved.
In one possible embodiment, the non-voice triggered paging cause value comprises a load balancing triggered paging cause value; for example, it can be represented by "load balance". When the non-voice trigger paging cause value is the load balance trigger paging cause value, the corresponding paging trigger service is load balance. When the core network determines that the load balancing problem exists, paging can be initiated, and a paging message carries a load balancing trigger paging reason value. Optionally, the paging message carrying the paging cause value triggered by load balancing may be initiated by an MME in the core network, where the MME (mobility Management entity) is a key control node of the 3GPP protocol LTE access network, and is responsible for positioning of an idle-mode ue (user equipment), and the paging process includes a relay, and simply, the MME is responsible for signaling processing. When the MME initiates paging due to load balance, a paging message carries a load balance trigger paging cause value, namely 'load balance'.
