Detailed Description
As mentioned above, in the field of communication technology, voice call is an indispensable business function in daily communication, and is also an important income source for operators. How to guarantee voice call quality is an important research topic in the communication technology field. In order to ensure the continuity of the voice service, various switching procedures are provided in the prior art. However, the quality of voice service still remains to be improved.
The inventor researches and discovers that the existing switching process can comprise a process of switching with a cell in an LTE network or a process of switching the LTE network to a 2G \3G circuit domain. From another perspective, the existing handover procedure may include a handover procedure applicable to the calling party or a handover procedure applicable to both the calling party and the called party.
Specifically, the existing handover procedure may include Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB), Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC), Radio Resource Control (RRC) redirection, cell handover for Packet Switched (PS), and the like.
The cs fallback is initiated by the terminal, and is generally used in a process in which the terminal preferentially utilizes a 2G/3G network to perform a voice call, and the terminal performs a voice call by utilizing the 2G/3G network and returns to the LTE network after the voice call is completed.
SRVCC may include base SRVCC, aSRVCC, bsrvvcc, eSRVCC, and the like types. VOLTE calls can smoothly switch calls in different periods to a CS domain under 2G/3G through SRVCC and the like to carry out voice services.
However, the CS domain fallback is that voice services are performed in the CS domain from the call initiation to the call termination, and the SRVCC handover is triggered after the VOLTE dedicated bearer is established.
In summary, before the dedicated bearer for VOLTE is established, if the terminal performs the VOLTE service, there is no available handover procedure, and the continuity of the voice service is difficult to be guaranteed before the dedicated bearer for VOLTE is established.
In the embodiment of the invention, before the VOLTE special bearer is established, the service type of the terminal is determined, and when the service type of the terminal is VOLTE service, the switching information is configured, and whether to trigger the switching process is judged based on the switching information.
Because the handover process is usually triggered by the base station during the voice service, if the base station does not know the service type of the terminal, the handover process cannot be triggered, and the call quality cannot be ensured. Therefore, before the VOLTE special bearer is established, the service type of the terminal is determined, when the service type of the terminal is VOLTE service, the switching information is configured and whether the switching process is triggered or not is judged, the judgment whether the switching process is triggered or not can be carried out before the VOLTE special bearer is established, and the conversation quality of the voice service can be improved.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a call method in an embodiment of the present invention, which is applicable to a base station, and specifically includes the following steps:
step S11, before the VOLTE special bearing is established, the service type of the terminal is determined;
step S12, if the service type of the terminal is VOLTE service, configuring switching information, wherein the switching information is used for switching process, and the switching process is used for ensuring the continuity of voice service;
step S13, determining whether to trigger the handover procedure based on the handover information.
The terminal can be a calling party terminal or a called party terminal, the service type of the terminal can be a calling VOLTE service or a called VOLTE service, and the switching information can be configured according to the type of the VOLTE service so as to determine the specific switching process needing to be triggered.
Determining the service type of the terminal may be determined based on information received by the base station, and specifically may be determined according to information received from the terminal, or may be determined according to information received from a Mobility Management Entity (MME). The information received from the terminal may be received through an RRC setup request or through a non-access stratum message.
When the terminal is in an idle state, the base station can receive the information through an RRC establishment request; when the terminal is in a connected state, the base station can receive the information through a non-access stratum message. The above information may be received from the MME when the terminal is a called party terminal. The following description is made separately.
Referring to fig. 2, the base station receives information through an RRC setup request. Before step S11, the call method in the embodiment of the present invention may further include:
step S21, receiving an RRC establishment request, where the RRC establishment request carries a parameter for indicating the service type.
In a specific implementation of step S11, the service type of the terminal is determined by a parameter indicating the service type carried in the RRC setup request.
In step S21, an RRC connection request may be received from a terminal in an idle state. Here, the terminal in the idle state may be a calling party terminal or a called party terminal.
The parameter indicating the service type may carry a VOLTE MO/MT indication to indicate that the terminal is a calling party terminal or a called party terminal.
The RRC setup request may be from either the calling party terminal or the called party terminal. When the RRC establishment request comes from a calling party terminal, the RRC establishment request can carry VOLTE MO indication; the VOLTE MT indication may be carried when the RRC setup request comes from the called party terminal.
Specifically, when the RRC establishment request is from the calling party terminal, the VOLTE MO indication may be carried by using the existing parameter MO-VoiceCall-v1280 in the 3GPP protocol. The parameter mo-VoiceCall-v1280 is newly added in 3GPP TS 36.331CR1931 and is located in an Establishment Cause information element (Establishment Cause IE) of an RRC Establishment Request message (RRC Connection Request). The parameter is used for the network to decide whether to preferentially allow the access to the RRC request initiated by the VOLTE according to the parameter under the condition of network congestion and the like, and the parameter can be multiplexed by the invention.
When the RRC establishment request is from the called terminal, an enumeration value may be added in the RRC establishment request establishment cause information unit to carry the VOLTE MT indication. When the terminal is the called party terminal, the MME may notify the called party terminal that it is notified as the VOLTE service, so that the terminal may notify the base station of the service type, for example, the terminal may be notified by a paging message.
As can be seen from the above description of the parameter indicating the service type, the existing parameter may be reused, or an enumeration value may be added to indicate the service type of the terminal.
Referring to fig. 3, a base station receives information through a Non-access stratum (NAS) message. Before step S11, the call method in the embodiment of the present invention may further include:
step S31, receiving a non-access stratum message, where the non-access stratum message includes a parameter for indicating a service type of the terminal.
In a specific implementation of step S11, the service type of the terminal is determined according to the parameter indicating the service type of the terminal included in the non-access stratum message.
The non-access stratum message may come from a calling party terminal or a called party terminal, where both the calling party terminal and the called party terminal may be in a connected state. When the non-access layer message comes from the calling party terminal, the VOLTE MO indication can be carried; the non-access stratum message may carry a VOLTE MT indication when it comes from the called party terminal.
Specifically, the terminal may carry the VOLTE MO/MT indication through an Extended Service Request (Extended Service Request), and may add an information element to carry the indication.
When the terminal is the called terminal, the MME may add a signaling to notify the terminal of its service type.
Referring to fig. 4, when the terminal is a called terminal, before step S11, the call method in the embodiment of the present invention may further include:
step S41, receiving a message from MME, wherein the message from MME comprises the identification mark of the terminal;
in the process of establishing the call, the MME knows the identification mark of the called party terminal and the service type of the called party terminal, so that the MME can inform the base station of the service type and the identification mark of the called party terminal, so that the base station can determine the specific terminal indicated by the identification mark and determine the service type of the terminal.
In summary, the base station may determine the service type of the terminal in various ways. After the service type of the terminal is determined, the switching information can be configured to determine that the terminal is a calling party terminal or a called party terminal, and whether to trigger a switching process is judged according to the switching information.
The handover procedure may be any one of a redirection handover procedure, an SRVCC handover procedure, and a PS handover procedure.
And when the switching process is a redirection switching process or a PS switching process, initiating a call establishment process. When the handover procedure is a redirection handover procedure or a PS handover procedure, the call cannot be maintained, and therefore a call establishment procedure needs to be initiated. Since the calling party terminal has already initiated the call setup procedure, the call setup procedure is initiated again here, and the specific parameters carried may be different from the previous call setup procedure.
The determination of whether to trigger the handover procedure may be performed before the setup of the dedicated bearer for VOLTE. The decision can be made, for example, before a pre-alerting period when the terminal is the calling party. Or may be determined prior to the alerting period when the terminal is the called party.
Specifically, when the service type is the calling VOLTE service, before the previous ringing period, step 3 to step 12 of the protocol TS 36.508 Table 4.5a.6.3-1 may be executed to determine whether to trigger the handover procedure.
When the service type is called party VOLTE service, before the ringing period, step 3 to step 9 in the protocol TS 36.508 Table 4.5a.7.3-1 may be executed to determine whether to trigger the handover procedure.
Because whether the switching process is triggered can be judged before the VOLTE special bearer is established, the VOLTE call before the previous ringing period of the bSRVCC of the calling party terminal can be smoothly switched to the 2G/3G CS domain, and the VOLTE call before the ringing period of the aSRVCC of the called party terminal can be smoothly switched to the 2G/3G CS domain by the call method in the embodiment of the invention.
However, in the prior art, the VOLTE call before the ringing period can only be smoothly switched to the 2G/3G CS domain, or the VOLTE call in the ringing period can only be smoothly switched to the 2G/3G CS domain. Therefore, the conversation method in the embodiment of the application can be compatible with the existing protocol and makes up for the defects of the prior art.
Referring to fig. 5, in the embodiment of the present invention, before step S31, the method may further include:
in step S51, a measurement report is received.
Step S13 may be implemented as follows: and judging whether to trigger the switching process or not by combining the switching information and the measurement report.
After determining to trigger the handover procedure, the call method in the embodiment of the present invention may further include:
step S52, a handover procedure is performed to establish the CS domain voice service.
The CS domain voice service may be a 2G network or 3G network side voice service, and the specific network selection may be determined in step S13.
In summary, in the embodiment of the present invention, the service type of the terminal is determined before the dedicated bearer for VOLTE is established, and when the service type of the terminal is the VOLTE service, the handover information is configured and it is determined whether to trigger the handover procedure, so that it is possible to determine whether to trigger the handover procedure before the dedicated bearer for VOLTE is established, and thus, the call quality of the voice service can be improved.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides another communication method, which is applicable to a terminal, and a flowchart of the method is shown in fig. 6, where the method specifically includes:
step S61, before the VOLTE special bearing is established, the service type is reported to the access network, so that the access network determines the service type of the terminal;
step S62, receiving an indication of an access network to perform a handover procedure, where the handover procedure is used to ensure continuity of a voice service.
